Tony called this place CF Market. They had Pork Mee: Hokkien Chinese noodles, Penang style; Balitlong (sea snails).

How to use... Choose a table and remember your table number. Drinks: A few bar staff circulate to take drinks orders, they may be from competing bars. I found a central bar, took a picture of the fridge drinks as we chose to order things we could not describe (bottles with only foreign writing), as we used them as a replacement for wine. Place your order at your table. Your drink are brought over, and you pay, cash. Food: choose your shop, order your food. Give table number, return to table. Food arrives, you pay, cash. Entertainment: live singing, centre stage, in the round. If you want to be up close, just choose a table near the stage, it will be a bit louder here. It felt like about 9pm that music started. Overall, a great experience. I recommend highly. Food, for us, turned out to be average, but cost pennies, so fine. Drinks (see pictures), we got plastered on stuff we can't even describe!

The Jetty Food Court in George Town, Penang, offers a vibrant and diverse dining experience that’s hard to beat if you’re looking for casual food in an energetic, open-air setting. We came here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and well-organized the place was. Despite its size, it didn’t feel chaotic. There was plenty of seating, good ventilation thanks to the high ceiling and large fans, and a clean, inviting atmosphere. We ordered shawarma with fries from one of the stalls offering Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisine. The shawarma was flavorful and juicy, with well-seasoned meat and a satisfying balance of spices. The fries were crispy and served hot, making it a very satisfying meal overall. You could see the food being prepared fresh behind the counter, which added to the sense of quality and care in the cooking. What makes The Jetty stand out is the wide range of food available. There are dozens of stalls serving local Penang favorites like char kway teow and nasi lemak, alongside international options including Thai, Japanese, Korean, and Indian dishes. It’s the kind of place where everyone in your group can find something they like, no matter their taste or dietary preferences. Most stalls have clear menus with photos and prices, and many offer drinks as well, including fresh juices and local favorites like teh tarik and barley water. The entire food court is dotted with large signs from brands like Carlsberg and Heineken, and there’s a dedicated drinks counter that serves a range of beers and cocktails. It’s clearly a popular evening spot, and you can see posters for live music and entertainment scheduled daily. We were there during the day when it was calmer, but I imagine the vibe transforms at night into something even livelier and more social. Staff from different stalls were friendly and helpful, and ordering was straightforward. Many stalls accept QR code payment, which is very convenient if you’re not carrying much cash. There’s also a large digital screen showing announcements and promotions, which keeps the place feeling modern despite its rustic warehouse design. The food court is family-friendly but also seems like a great spot for groups of friends to hang out over a casual dinner and drinks. It's clean, not too noisy during off-peak hours, and the decoration with paper lanterns and hanging lights gives it a festive charm. Overall, The Jetty Food Court delivered on everything we were hoping for. It’s an excellent place to sample a wide variety of local and international dishes in a laid-back setting. The food was good, the staff were kind, and the space was lively without being overwhelming. Whether you’re visiting during the day for a quick bite or in the evening to enjoy the live entertainment, it’s well worth a visit. We’ll definitely come back to try more dishes.

A GREAT Local Food Court in Old George Town, with fantastic vibes, very good hygiene, very airy and tasty food! For some reason, the second food court in Old George Town seems to be rated as the best food court in this part of town. However, our experience was clearly the opposite. The Jetty Food Court is just opposite the Famous Chew Jetty in Old George Town area. Very vibrant evenings with lots of options of food that seems to be cooked with much better hygiene & cleanliness than Red Garden Food Paradise food court. Live music is from 09.30 PM until midnight and the live music bands are excellent. The entire ambience is lively, with lots of locals enjoying themselves along with Tourists. We have been to Jetty Food Court 3 times during our stay in Penang and we would certainly recommend this food court as being way better than Red Garden Paradise. Food options start from local favourites to Thai to Chinese to Seafood.

Great selection of everything Asian (and one Italian stall). Cleaner and More organized than the other food courts we've tried, and many stalls have non-cash payment options.

Great place to dinner cheap but teastyful, with live music shows from 21.30 to 12.30 Recommend to order 3/4 different dishes. Desert is highly recommended! (From the corner stand). Great atmosphere to dinner, chilling and take the first drink.

This spot has tons of food options and everything tastes great. The prices are pretty affordable, the place is spacious, and it’s perfect whether you’re eating alone or with a bunch of friends. It’s also clean enough, and I really liked the food here. I tried the frog legs, surprisingly delicious and the lotus root rojak too.

thought the food stalls in Penang were mostly run by locals, but at this food court, most of the cooks were foreign workers — and honestly, the food quality was really disappointing

Yelp
This is a huge hawker center next to the Clan jetties. You need to cross a crazy busy street to get to this place from the Clan Jetties side. If you survived the crossing, you then are in luck to enjoy inexpensive and extensive selection of stalls - mostly Malay or southeast Asian food. It did not have A/c and the heat stole our appetite. Instead of ordering food, we ought to get only drinks from the drink center. Btw, we saw a sign saying there there were live performances every evening - not sure if that was true or a leftover from the pre pandemic time.

Yelp
My favourite place to eat in Penang! This place provides the ultimate cheap + convenient eating experience! I've been here multiple times during my stay in Penang mostly because it's close to my accommodation, but also because it's shaded! Great place to escape from the sun and just sit back and sip on an ice cold drink! Bonus point - super cheap! It's hard to find a table at a normal meal time but that means everyone is here because the food is SO good! The food court is full of stalls and it's a bit overwhelming as each stall offers completely different things! I'd recommend walking around the entire food court first before you decide on one dish. You order your food first, find a table, and a server magically appears out of nowhere to take your drink order. You place your drink order and pay once they bring it to you. Great! You don't even need to get up to get your drink!! If you're visiting Penang, I'd recommend dining here at least once!

Yelp
Hungry, cranky and hot, we stumbled upon the Jetty Food Court after finding late afternoon George Town to be relatively DEAD for eating places. While the Food Court only had about 1/4 of their vendors open, it provided a relief to sit, grab a cold beverage, and use decent washroom facilities. I cannot give a review for this place in it's full bustling effect, but in that one hour spent there, it was a saving grace. My father opted for some duck on rice - 7 ringgit - portion a bit small and seemed a bit pricey for what it was. I got some shredded pork on noodles - a little disappointed too, but we are complaining about particular vendors here. I wish more was open but we were eagerly waited on by the drink serving staff and I downed 2 iced teh tarik/milk teas for 4 ringgit. The location is great, right by the jetty and the selection is big but not huge compared to some other "food courts." It looks a bit newer, so perhaps that's why! I was grateful for this place in that moment and hope you can find temporary relief in their facilities and satisfaction in their food.
