The Juicy Crab - Sugar Land

Food was ok. The calamari didn't taste like anything. Green beans were tasty. My daughters boil was ok...but it had a flavor that just tasted off. Was decorated very nice.

Place was very clean. Great customer service our waiter was Jacob he did fantastic at checking up on our table and making sure we had everything we needed. 10/10

The name says it all, the food was juicy, and delicious. So good! The portions were great and filling. I shared a number 6 with my child, and we could not finish it together. The shrimp were tender and easy to peel, the potatoes were super soft, the corn was great and the sausage, tender and perfect. The service was good, as the waiter kept stopping by to ask what else we would need. My son loved the bibs provided to protect your clothing and the gloves to protect your hands if wanted.

Came in for a late lunch with my daughter. Had the place pretty much all to ourselves. Our server - JJ - was great! Food came out quick, hot and oh man was it ever delicious!! We got fried pickles that were delish! Crab boil delectable and the popcorn shrimp was seriously the best I’ve ever had. The shrimp was so tender and fried to absolute perfection! Super delighted we found our new crab boil location!

I came here for the first time and had a mixed experience. Omar, our waiter, was friendly and very apologetic because our drinks were taking quite a while to come out. It wasn’t a busy night, so I’m not sure why the delay was so long. I eventually just ordered a Sprite because the bar drinks were taking too long, which was disappointing. The food, however, was great. The main issue was the wait time for bar drinks, and they also did not have frozen margaritas available. I would return, but next time I’ll likely order takeout rather than dine in.

Absolutely love my experience had juicy crab. My bartender was fantastic but a little pushy but in funny way!! Bee was fantastic and took care of any need I could think of and made superb drinks that paired beautifully with the crab! Don’t even get me started on the juicy sauce for the seafood! If you don’t eat here you hate you tummy and heart!!!

The food was great, but the service was quite slow and the atmosphere left a bit to be desired. Our server and his backup disappeared for a LONG time. By the time I got the 1/2 dozen raw oysters, the ice was nearly completely melted. We would've ordered more drinks, but could only get one each despite us being there for over 2 hours. That's a loss of revenue on their part. The atmosphere was quite lifeless. No music, very boring, etc. The food was great though. My husband said the fried fish was good although he would have preferred that it was a bit crispier. Still the rest of us loved our sausage and various types of crab and seasoning! So good! They also offer a military discount which is great and we still tipped our server over the standard 20%. He can't control everything. I do recommend checking them out. Maybe it'll be livelier at dinner time.

Hey !! My family and I came with a party off 30 !! We had just our girls cheerleading competition .. which they won!!!my server was amazing . She so pleasantly and kind to all the kids we had .. the food was so hot fresh and good. The crawfish was amazing 10/1000.. give my girl JJ her flowers on of the best servers I had n a very very long time.. she was very welcoming

Highly recommend! I had my Father's Day meal here and had some excellent King Crab. The food here was awesome and so was the service. The layout and feel of the restaurant was cool and inviting. Great experience. Only recommendation is get some real silver wear it's all plastic. We need a fork and knife and plastic wasn't enough.

The restaurant is large and well decorated and clean and inviting. Our server was friendly and pleasant with a great attitude. There was only one option for a carbonated drink (Coke) so hubby got a 'sweetened iced tea' which was weak and not sweetened. We had fried calamari for an appetizer. The calamari was tender and the batter was light and crispy. It was disappointing that the batter had no flavor. We ordered the tilapia basket with Cajun fries. Again the batter was light but no flavor and fries were quite oily. I used a napkin to take some of the oil off, which also took off some of the seasoning. Our ketchup came in a yellow plastic bottle marked mustard. I was expecting more from the outside appearance of the restaurant but our seafood diner down the street has outdone the flavor. We probably won't be back.

This was my first and absolute last time. The service was terrible. The employees were arguing and cursing each other out during our visit, very unprofessional. In addition, we didn't get our food for over an hour and a half. We order at 7pm and got our food at 8:30pm after being notified our server didn't put our ticket in. The food wasn't even good after getting it, it was halfway hot and the crawfish are not fresh/live. After an hour and half of waiting, the manager, Mia, comes over and offers us (a table of five) ten dollars off the total ticket stating that's all she can do. So then, she says she can offer ten dollar gift cards for the next visit. My sister comes here all the time and feels like that's a complete slap in the face as she patronizes the business often.

Too expensive! $52 for 2 lbs of shrimp/ head on, 2 small potatoes & 1 corn. The seasoning was just ok. Not worth it. The service was Slow. Our server was nice & friendly, but Slow. Crawfish N more is so much better than this spot.

Good place for boiled Viet-Cajun style seafood. Food was good, big drink menu and the service was great. We had a wonderful experience on a week night.

The Juicy Crab never disappoints! The green lip mussels are absolutely the best. So fresh and packed with flavor. I ordered the Cajun mild seasoning, and it was perfect. The seafood is always fresh, the flavors are bold, and the service is quick and friendly.

This food was amazing, the vibes were great; quiet and chil. And to top it all off, JJ(JayJay) our server was amazing. Our second experience eating this type of food, and she definitely made us want to come back for more! The crab was definitely juicy.

Service was not great when I arrived. Took to long for drinks to arrive. I ordered shrimp and mussels combo. And it was wonderful. I will go back again.

I went out the eat with my friends as we were eating our original server left so we got a different server he barley came to the table or even talked to us I had to find him to get Togo bags at the end I ended up tapping to pay at the counter my total was 29.22 I made it clear on the section that said total I put 30$ I didn't fill out the tip section at all I just put 30 on my total I rounded the number the idiot at the counter charged me a whole 30 tip!!! Mind you all I got was a seafood boil and a drink I tipped my original server and they charged me an extra 30! DO NOT GO HERE GO TO LOTUS

"My family, visiting from England, had heard about your Sugar Land, Houston location, so we decided to take them there for dinner this evening. To our disappointment, the food was absolutely unacceptable--some of the worst we've ever had. We were embarrassed and ended up leaving most of it untouched on the table. To make matters worse, one of my relatives became unwell after eating, and we had to take them back to their hotel. Given the poor quality of the food and the negative impact it had on our evening and our gusts throwing up it ruined our whole evening.

If you've had Juicy Crab in Georgia or Florida then you pretty much know what you're getting. The menu is practically the same, some boiled/steamed seafood, some fried but most people come for the boil in the bag options with either cajun spice, lemon pepper, garlic butter or the juicy special (combo of all three). I came on a overcast Sunday and it was maybe 4-5 other parties, there was no wait and the place is pretty clean and spacious! With only two servers, the food came out fast. My server Alex was nice! The food itself was fresh and about as tasty as the Juicy Crabs in Atlanta and Jacksonville that I've frequented. Unfortunately, several of my mussles were closed and I only received one potato the size of a shrimp in my boil -- I've never experienced that at my other juicy crab visits. While it was overall a decent experience, I would not return as the management did not honor the Yelp coupon for first time visitors. The coupon states 10% off your visit, no further stipulations, and they only offered it off of one item -- my server told me alcohol and combos are already excluded so patrons be advised.

I recently ordered the from Juicy Crab's website but received only 2 shrimp. When I called to address the issue, the manager, Michelle (i doubt this is even her name but I'm sure the owners will know who she is, her demeanor is very nasty) was extremely rude. She insinuated that I didn't know how to count and proceeded to yell at me, insisting that I should resolve the issue with DoorDash, even though I ordered directly from their website. Michelle's unprofessional behavior and lack of customer service were deeply disappointing. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone, not even a rat.

This place is such an experience, they outside looks like a nice date style place but the inside definitely scream family friendly, is has plastic fish décor hang up the celling I myself found it really fun and theme restaurant are something I really enjoy. We visit at during the week at little after lunch time and it was pretty empty to the staff wasn't busy and gave us plenty of attention. I liked the food but as someone that doesn't visit Cajun crawfish restaurants that often we were a bit confuse on what was the best way to eat the food, we ended up ordering one of their already build jumbos but made the mistake of not emptying out of the bag until we were almost done so we missed out in having that extra flavor on the food, we asked at the end if we were suppose to, waitress explained some people like emptying it out so get the juices which would have being nice to know since the beginning also want to point out that every time we visit a new place we let our server know since we like to take recommendations so is was also our fault from not asking earlier. I recommend going for the combos and probably skip the fried calamari, it was really the only disappointing thing, they are too big to eat in one bite and as soon as you bite it the whole crust falls off so maybe pick something else. While I thought it was a fun place I don't see myself going back

So-so experience. Waitress was very nice and friendly but there were long periods of waiting for her to refill drinks, despite the restaurant being quite empty. My crab and shrimp were kind of cold, colder than room temperature so you could tell they had been frozen. I'm familiar with cold crab and cold shrimp dishes so it wasn't too bad for me but I'm sure the average diner would have been expecting a hot meal. Ambience is fine for a family restaurant, super casual. Generally I dislike chain restaurants in the suburbs as the service is always slow and food quality is so-so.

My girl was craving crawfish so she decided to called this place for pick up. She ordered 3lbs of each "garlic butter" and "Cajun"crawfish.......We were told 2 different prices over the phone and when we picked it up it was a different price. We got in the house and we quickly opened the bags and tasted the first pieces and we both looked at each other and couldn't believe what we just tasted. Below are sample photos of how greasy and flavorless these crawfish were. THE WORST CRAWFISH EVER. Lot of butter and no seasoning and I wish that was it all but the annoying part is the crawfish were obviously cooked overnight or more than 12hours not a single one was fresh. I was so angry that I spent close to $70 on these piece of shyt. We tried to add some Cajun season to it and reheat it but still unbearable so we threw it away and just said " Lesson learnt" should check the review first. Do yourself a favor. Go anywhere else but this BS at least for crawfish.

I went with my coworker to try this place months ago, and I was pleasantly surprise to see that they have vietnamese cajun type of flavoring. I did like the taste of the vietnamese cajun flavoring. I am not familiar with the combo type of selections but I guess it gives a little of everything. The combo I got had shrimp, crawfish and mussels. The crawfish were not in season at the time I tried so it was very small and not food. Shrimp was great. There was also a lot of mussels but I am not a big fan of mussels. Staff was ok overall. Will go again.

This is a great bar joint that happens to serve some crawfish boil meals. For a quick grab of some crawfish, this place is not bad. Not you home done back yard family boil but it fixes the urge or need to taste some crawfish. Got 1/2 a pound of mud bugs with corn and taters with some peel to eat shrimp and one cluster of snow crab legs all done in their house spices mix. Flavor was good and hit my palette of what I was craving. Peel to eat shrimp had bursted nicely on the back side and made peeling easy and at one swoop they were peeled. Crab legs were tasty but rather small this time around. Love me some crab meat. All and all, I would go back.

Best place for a seafood boil! Fast and friendly service and the food was juicy just like the name of the restaurant.

First, the decor is beautiful nautical brighter colors than the photo, very spacious. The staff is extremely friendly and great service. They placed a lined empty bucket on the table and plastic gloves to use. The manager was very friendly, attentive and came to our table at the end of the meal to ask us how our experience was as well as giving us complimentary wrist key chains. The Seafood was very fresh, hot and delicious and came with corn and potato. Ordered a side of white rice. Would have loved if they served a bread item like garlic bread or biscuit to sop up the juices. Was a very memorable experience. Highly recommend them.

Our server was amazing but on Saturday night at the Sugarland location, my boyfriend ordered 1/2 dozen oysters on the half shell and by 5 am the next morning was puking his guts out. This is the only food we did not share this weekend. I thought I was going to lose him from this experience. STOP SERVING PEOPLE BAD FOOD that could kill them! You will be sued eventually!! For over $100.00, the boil was flavorless, frozen margarita was a non-alcoholic slushy and my boyfriend almost died. Partake at your own risk.

Fantastic food, the best butter sauce I have ever had - flavorful and lots of garlic pods. Service was horrible! Also ran out of wine, got our order wrong, didn't bring out crab crackers, wrong entree, to go order took forever. Prices reasonable! The poor service will be the demise of a new restaurant that could be great.

I ordered my food like 25 minutes in advanced and I still had to wait at the restaurant another 20 minutes for my food. I tried to give grace, but this is like the 3rd time this has happened to me. Last time I stood in that restaurant for 35 minutes. They are never busy when I order and always say they only have 1 cook. Just sit and eat there. Dont bother ordering take out.

Nice atmosphere and good food really recommend this place, little bit pricey but it's worth it

When I went to go pick up my order, no one came to help me! The servers, bartender, and even the manager ignored me while I was waiting at the hostess stand. It took 5-10 minutes for someone to come help me with my order. Even then it was unprofessional. My steamed rice was hardened like they scraped it from the bottom. The shrimp felt over cooked. It was just not worth it. Wish I could've liked it but will not come back here.

Food was excellent. Flavourful, tons of options and genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, this is where the good points end. The ambiance and atmosphere was mediocre at best. This could be because the place was practically empty so I'll leave room for others opinions on that area. Lastly and definitely the worst part. The service. The entire staff feels like they just started working their first jobs and don't know what they are doing. Food took around 20 minutes to get the order put in. Just for our waitress to come back and tell us that something wasn't available and we'd have to order something else. To her credit, she was very courteous and kind. But overall the lacklustre atmosphere and poor service put a damper on what was honestly very good food. Edit: The owner of the business reached out to each and every review. I've never seen that before. I look forward to my next visit.

I've been waiting for something worthwhile to fill the old Kona Grill spot, and Juicy Crab is IT! While they're not perfect by any means, that bomb-ass Juicy Special sauce and fresh-boiled seafood will keep me coming back again and again. Let's get my qualms out of the way... The interior is comical - like a mix between an upscale joint and a Joe's Crab Shack. The dim mood lighting also caught me off-guard but never really got in the way of enjoying my meal. The staff is nice enough, but not exactly the speediest service. There were only about three small groups dining in, but it took quite some time for anyone to visit our table. I'm willing to forgive all these little misgivings for ridiculously good food, and that's exactly what Juicy Crab has. Please keep in mind - while they advertise themselves as a Cajun seafood boil restaurant, the Juicy Special sauce is more reminiscent of Viet-Cajun style. They have 3 dry seasonings (lemon pepper, cajun, garlic butter) and two wet sauces (garlic butter only, and Juicy Special sauce). Unlike most seafood boil restaurants, Juicy Crab lists some options by pound and others by 1/2 pound (e.g. clams are $13 per 1 lb and head-on shrimp are $13 per 1/2 pound). Combos are served with 1 potato and 1 corn. The sticker shock wears off once you get a taste of that finger-licking sauce. You could devour a leather boot coated in the savory, tangy, buttery concoction... thankfully, they serve seafood and not shoes. The head-on shrimp were undeniably fresh and cooked to perfection. The mussels and clams were also very tasty, but I would probably opt for all shrimp next time. I'm so glad that Sugar Land finally has a seafood restaurant that rivals some of my favorites way out in Houston. The food was so delicious, I'm hoping that their shortcomings will get worked out once they're more established.

The hosts were very welcoming, the staff was very nice!! I ordered a catfish basket, It was piping hot which was amazing, I just wish there was more seasoning for the catfish!! My sister enjoyed her crab boil. Would come back again!!

It was my first time at The juicy Crab and I had an amazing experience the service is something that I always look at when I come to new places and thanks to our waiter Demaja she was able to take her time and explain to me the difference of eachplate and the flavors. Thanks to demaja I look forward to coming back again!!

I love Juicy Crab! I love the food, the service, and the $5 all day happy hour Monday-Thursday. Also, Chloé is absolutely amazing!

Service was horrible. Server didn't even know what Michelob was, had to go find out if they had it then asked us if that was alcohol.... The server disappeared and we were left without refills or anything we had asked for.

This establishment can never seem to get my order correct. The receipt is correct but the order is still wrong. One time I ordered shrimp basket & corn, got corn but NO shrimp basket had to dispute that. I then ordered the shrimp basket & corn & this time got the shrimp basket but instead of corn I got chicken tenders. What is the issue with u guys? I think I'll just try Lotus seafood next time because this is ridiculous !

Service was not good, although the food was satisfactory. It took forever for the drinks to arrive, and even longer to get a refill. I requested lemon with my iced tea; it came out without lemon. It took me forever to flag the waiter to remind him and then it took as long for him to return with the lemon as it did to bring g me the drink in the first place. The one positive is that the food was ok. I will not be back.

Very chilled atmosphere. Food and services are quick. So husband had number 10 bucket and i ate all the apertizers- fried green beans, hush puppies, and wings with the bumbum, tartar, and cocktail sauces. Well, i stold half of his snow crab meat... Not perfect rating because they gave me a box for to go box and did not give us any plastic bags or anything. Sauces from the food leaks everywhere.

Went on a Sunday evening. 2 people. dinner, drinks + tip $135. Food was good. atmosphere felt like an upscaled cafeteria. But a waitress named "chee chee" was cleaning tables and dropping f bombs and bi@!h no less than 8 times while talking about her court woes to coworkers. She looked right at me, and then kept trash mouthing. I complained to the manager, who said the problem is the owner/francisee. They've passed on many complaints to the owner but due to some quasi friendship/relationship the owner keeps her employed. There's a lot of places that will sell 2 people crab for $135. DON'T GO HERE!!!! THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS!!!

First time to try this place in Sugar land, the place is cozy and neat. And the food did not disappoint us, seafood boil was very flavorful. The staff are great! Very nice service! We recommend to give them a try.
