Italy’s Bonci Pizzeria Is Coming to New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"I'm seeing that The Julia is a $50 million mixed-use development in the New Orleans Warehouse District; its website and reporting confirm tenants will include Bonci Pizzeria and Oprah-backed True Food Kitchen." - Stephanie Carter

I've lived here for almost 18 months and so far that's a great place to live. The location cant be beat. This is probably the best location in the city. All of the best restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, and bars are within a couple of blocks from here. There's a grocery store, one and a half blocks away.. It's an easy walk to the French quarter or the garden district. It's a safe and clean area. The apartments are very quiet. I never hear anything from nextdoor neighbors at all. The soundproofing is excellent. They have a well-equipped gym that I use frequently. They only negative is the carpet in the hallways needs to be cleaned. I am renewing my lease and plan to live here for a long time. Update... The hallway carpets were steam cleaned this week. All good

I’ve had the privilege of living at The Julia for just over a year with my one-year-old son. We truly cherish this community. Watching my son delight in playing in the courtyard warms my heart, and we find peace in reading together in the cozy pool house. I love hosting friends at the BBQ pits, feeling the comforting sense of community. The staff have been incredibly kind and attentive; maintenance requests are always handled promptly, and the concierge exudes genuine warmth and care. We feel a deep sense of safety and belonging here, and we look forward to making many more memories at The Julia.

I don’t usually write reviews, but after seeing a few that don’t reflect my experience, I wanted to share. I’ve been at The Julia for a couple of months and have had a great experience so far. The building is clean, modern, and in a great location. All the staff I’ve interacted with (especially Tia, Lauren, and Patrice) have been incredibly professional, caring, and kind. Parking does cost extra, but that’s standard for this neighborhood. I feel safe here, and the amenities are amazing and well maintained. Really happy I chose to live here!

If you're considering moving into 730 Julia, do yourself a favor and RUN in the opposite direction. This place markets itself as "upscale living" in New Orleans, but in reality, it's the opposite... a poorly managed, half-functional building that left me counting the days until I could finally get out. The hallways are consistently filthy. I lived here long enough to realize the floors simply never get cleaned. It feels like management thinks slapping "luxury" on a brochure excuses basic hygiene. Spoiler: it doesn't. Elevators are unreliable at best, death traps at worst. Constantly breaking down and sluggish when they do "work". And the "loading dock" is literally the trash dock. Every time you move furniture or get a delivery, you're hit with the smell of garbage. Nothing says "luxury" like hauling your stuff through that. Honestly, when I finally moved out this month, I didn't even care I was just glad to be gone. To be fair, some of the staff were nice enough. But "nice" doesn't make up for the fact that it was nearly impossible to get anything done. Maintenance requests? Good luck. Answers from management? Don't hold your breath. Accountability? Nonexistent. By the time I moved out, I was ecstatic to leave. This place left a permanent bad taste in my mouth. It's overpriced, over-marketed, and under delivers in every possible way. And to top it all off, they've resorted to bribing residents with a phony Amazon gift card "raffle" just to squeeze out positive reviews. If a building has to dangle cheap gift cards to beg for stars, that should tell you everything you need to know. Bottom line: Don't fall for the glossy marketing. 730 Julia is not luxury, it's a nightmare in disguise. I would give it zero stars if I could.

This complex is great! We've lived here for the past year. The concierges are very friendly and professional, the amenities are great including the pool and gym, and maintenance is super fast and responsive. Other staff are also prompt. The parking situation is a bummer as it's extremely expensive, but otherwise we've really liked living here and everything is nice and new. Location is perfect as well.

I’ve lived at The Julia for a few years and it’s been a great experience. The location is perfect for enjoying everything downtown has to offer, and the building is well maintained. The staff is always friendly, responsive, and understanding, which makes a big difference. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to call home.

I recently made a year at The Julia and I'm excited to renew for another year. After living in the CBD for 9 years I can honestly say this is the best location, safest neighborhood and most spacious and modern apartment in Downtown New Orleans.

We currently live at the Julia and absolutely love it here. The staff are super friendly and are always willing to help! It’s in a great location and within walking distance to many restaurants, grocery stores, and even the Dome.

Yelp
This place is a scam. Buyer beware. Booked on Expedia. after booking property harassed me via text asking me to pay them directly and not through Expedia. I booked 7 months in advance and they are making me pay a $2000 deposit 7 months in advance and will not tell me why or what it is for. Very Very uneasy feeling.

Yelp
My Friends and I Stayed for Mardi Gras , location was great but when we booked it stated 24hrs security so this was a plus since we were from out of town, this location required arm bands and on some days they still wouldn't allow access we stayed 4 nights and paid 3500 so we truly expected more, the dog smell throughout the Condo was horrible, only plus was location

Yelp
Great place to live. Very safe and secure. Good amenities! In a walkable area with plenty of restaurants, other apartment complexes, and grocery stores!

Yelp
Beautiful building, Great amenities, and great location but don't be fooled... The façade that this Building has is Impeccable. During the Hurricane, Management was no where to be found. They decided to leave the building and was left unsecure Main doors to the build along with the stairwell that Leeds to residents dwellings. I've been living here in New Orleans for the past 10 years and we all know that there is a homeless problem in the city. So what does that mean, Keep your doors locked if you don't want any uninvited guest or you get home and your apartment was broken into. Management decided to show up a few days after the Hurricane to empty out refrigerator that were left by tenants that had evacuated that's great on there part. However, they left a few hours later and didn't come back till the power was back on almost a week later. Every building I've lived in during a hurricane Management was always on site. They would also hire a security guard and Schedule them 24hr a day till we got power back. Things that went on during Management was not present while we didn't have power. *they were not here *smelled like garbage on every floor *no security *homeless guy got into the building *when management showed up they did not talk to residents (Which they never do or acknowledge you if they deiced to come out of the office) *Hallway carpets have been extremely dirty. (for over a year) Even now after the Hurricane Still haven't got an update on repairs and clean up that the building needs. Here's a list just in case. *Elevator on Carondelet St (fob reader doesn't work ) (been like that for over a year) (residents have complained and nothing has been done) *Every weekend the garbage rooms on every floor are full of garbage, since the front desk person chooses not to move the Garbage cans that are located in loading dock. *Lack of employees (They Only Have 2 that work around a the Building. Management just stays in the office) )This tells me Management wants there bonus so they do go over budget with labor) And only one of them witch is the only maintenance was here by himself working after the Hurricane when we didn't have power. *Elevator on St Charles side to go to the GYM not working I'm sorry but this building is not and I repeat not being run correctly. Hire more employees this way there is staff here on the weekends. Say hello to you residents that pay your salary get to know them. Most importantly (Management) : Do your daily walks, around the property on every floor That part of your job description as a property Manager and if your delegating that guess what its not being done. Also, Take a note pad and write down what is wrong and needs to be cleaned or fixed so it gets done. -Klaus Mikaelson

Yelp
This was my first apartment and it was a very bad experience the white peuple that live not all of them but most act weird towards black people ive even had a white girl run from me while on the phone with my girlfriend and between the dog smelling hallways and dog pee in the bathroom of my apartment and the terrible parking that they charge 250 if you can get past all of that it'll be perfect for you if your a racist like those in the office you'll be fine and I stayed for a entire year with parking

Yelp
The Julia at Saint Charles is a wonderful place to live! My husband and I were looking for a safe complex for our daughter, who was moving to the city to attend nursing school, that would be centrally located yet safe at the same time. The Julia at Saint Charles is both of these. This complex was recently completed after a total renovation. The renovation exceded our expectations. There are multiple floor plans to choose from, a state of the art work out room, a rooftop pet friendly area, a beautiful pool with an entertainment area complete with large TV's and a full kitchen, as well as underground secured parking. Both management and the staff have been nothing but helpful and attentive since the day we toured the complex. Packages delivered are safe and secure. There is a conceirge APP for all residents of The Julia that allows 24 hour correspondence, should maintenance be required, notice of a large delivery being made, etc... And with any new complex there are always "kinks" to work out, but The Julia staff has been 100% on-top of any issues ASAP, including notifying each resident by email should an issue arise. We, as parents of a daughter living alone in New Orleans, have the peace of mind knowing that she is safe and sound with a management and staff team that treats her like family, as well as the beautiful brand new complex, with safe parking, that is just steps away from some of the greatest restaurants, shops and schools in the city of New Orleans!

Yelp
The management has not kept the building clean - even with the quarantine! Food, wrappers, stains, on the hallways and stairs. We noticed pieces of corn chips that were left on the stairs for three weeks! Trash chute gets jammed regularly and the trash room is piled with trash. Very noisy area - lots of ambulances, traffic, loud music. During Mardi Gras unless you don't need to sleep, work, or study, just leave town. Parades go by the building and the noise is horrible for 2 weeks. This is definitely not a luxury apartment. No window screens, no garbage disposals. Tenants have had issues with mold, water leaks, and formaldehyde in their apartments, and management's response is poor. In this past year we've never seen them do anything that would be professional, fair, and reasonable when tenants have legitimate complaints. When the parking garage flooded they said it wasn't their problem because they lease the garage to a parking service. They refused to reimburse for damage or loss due to the flooding. They are now raising the rents even though so many people are out of work because of the pandemic. They've lost an assistant manager and three concierges in the past year. Understaffed and poorly run.
