I recently had the pleasure of staying at The June Motel with my 86 year old mom, and overall, it was a charming experience! The retro vibes and aesthetic make it a perfect spot for some Instagram-worthy photos. Plus, parking was a breeze, which is always a plus when you're traveling.
The breakfast was simple yet satisfying, featuring delicious muffins, yogurt, and coffee to kickstart the day. It’s just the right amount to enjoy without feeling overindulgent.
However, there were a couple of downsides. The mattresses could definitely use an upgrade; they were a bit too soft for my liking. Additionally, the air conditioning unit was quite loud and placed high up, making it difficult to adjust the settings comfortably. The bathroom fan was also noisy, and I could hear quite a bit of movement from the ceiling above, which was a bit distracting.
That said, the highlight of my stay was definitely Katie at the front desk in the morning. She was incredibly friendly and provided fantastic tips about the area, including recommendations for shopping and dining. Her suggestion to visit a nearby winery was a gem we might have missed otherwise!
Overall, The June Motel has a lot to offer, and with a few tweaks, it could be even better. I’d recommend it for anyone looking for a fun and retro getaway!
