I decided to write a review because I was really surprised at the negative reviews on tripadvisor. I chalk it up to people not realizing at the end of the day even with all the hype, influencers photos and VIBE, it's STILL a motel and should be treated as such. We stayed at the June Motel in Sauble beach for their last (thanksgiving) weekend. You will get an email to check in online, I highly recommend this because they will text you to let you know if your room is ready early. Of course, for most of us who are driving in, we're all aiming to get in for a 4:00PM check in so usually by the time they let you know, you won't get there early.||The lobby was super cute and wee were swiftly checked in by their very friendly and approachable staff. We were offered a welcome drink (a rose) and if you don't drink, they do have some 100% alcoholic-free options. ||We had room 110 which is on the bottom floor, the terrace was great because you could easily walk to the fire pits, pool or lobby. The room was sparsely furnished and decorated but it was very comfortable. When you arrive at a basic motel, the room always feels grimy even if it looks clean but when we stepped into our room at the June, it felt and smelled very clean. The mini fridge was a nice touch but there's no tables so it would be hard to work or eat in the room. ||The bathroom was very basic, but honestly it had ample counter space, the towels were plentiful and clean. I did not shower during their peak times so it was always hot and had good pressure. We did notice a sewage smell with the sink but this could be due to the septic. The toiletries were really nice and great quality.||The radiator and fridge was LOUD. It was so loud, I could hear the neighbors radiator. However, if you enjoy white noise, it should not bother you. There was a very small tv with a roku system. Pro-tip: Our remote ran out of batteries, but you can download the roku app and use their virtual remote which worked great.||I was afraid that if we were here the last weekend we may not get all the amenities they promised. Luckily, they offered everything they advertised. Every night, there were cozy fires with smores kits and blankets. Every morning, there was a nice spread of pastries, fruits, yogurt, hot water and coffee. The pastries were delicious. No hot food, but honestly, the breakfast was a great start to the morning. It's enough to get the day started!||The pool is not very big, but it was heated and we even went for a dip in October! It's cold but not too bad when you're in the water. You can bring a water bottle for your water (they have water on the deck with plastic cups), but you will need to order food and drinks with heydays. Sometimes they will come and bring you a menu so you don't even have to go to the bar. The pool deck was really nice and enjoyable.||Heydays (restaurant) was very good. The staff were friendly, the food came out fast and the food was very good. It took a lot of effort NOT to eat at heydays because we thought it was the best food around. ||We came during low season so the price was about half of peak season (plus we also got a last minute deal). I can see why people that come during peak season will feel that it's not worth the money, but then again it's peak season. Everything around will be priced accordingly. I bet in the summer the beach is outstanding, and it's only steps away with so many cute shops around. When you go during low season there is not too much around that is open and thus everything around is priced accordingly. Sure, you can probably save half the cost if you stay at one of the local motels around but it's probably not as nice but it depends on what is more important to you.||We really enjoyed our stay and thought the staff were great.
