The Jungle Community Music Club

My boyfriend's band played a show here last night. They only have a few parking spots so it is hard for the band to find somewhere near by to park and unload/load back up/just park in general. The place is cute. It's very small and the sound is weird for live music. Like, the audio was just off last night. The sound guy was not on top of that. The majority of the chairs are broken so you have to be careful sitting on them.

If my New Year 's Eve celebration there is any indication of the music diversity available it was varied fun sets.Bar simply swift service with a smile! I went there to see a friend’s band play as well as watch the other bands perform. The bar allowed the decibel level to reach 115 dB, and that wasn’t from being in front of the stage or even near it — this was from the side of the bar, far away from the PA speakers. This is absolutely inexcusable. Those levels are extremely dangerous. The room has cement flooring and walls, so there is nothing to absorb the sound. It’s reckless on the club and the managers to allow this to happen. Why 115 dB Is Dangerous Immediate risk: At 115 dB, the sound can cause immediate damage to the sensitive hair cells in your inner ear, leading to permanent hearing loss. Short exposure limit: The maximum safe exposure time at 115 dB is extremely short — many guidelines suggest under 30 seconds. Control the levels, and I bet more people would stay.

I've seen multiple shows at The Jungle, and it’s always an enjoyable experience! It’s a small venue, which gives it an intimate and cozy feel, making every performance feel up close and personal. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which adds to the great atmosphere. If you’re looking for a unique spot to catch live music in Somerville, I recommend The Jungle!

I was threatened with assault from somebody who didn’t like the way I filmed in this club last weekend. They said they would have me bleeding for multiple places if their father got a hold of me when I told management they threw me out of the bar. I will never go back to the bar. They will not protect you if you’re assaulted and they do not take assault seriously stay away from this place especially if you’re an older person and happened to look different than other people perhaps

One of my favorite clubs and will always have a special place in my heart ❤️ as it was the first place that invited me to play my music and the first to pay me. The people there are great. The staff and the patrons. I always get the sweet potato fries. I love the vibe there. You will too.

Great cozy music venue. Went to see a friend's band last night. Local beer selection was on point. Very good cocktails. The bartenders were awesome!! Very friendly. Only shared a basket of sweet potato fries but they were quite tasty. Would definitely return.

Found this place by complete accident (honestly we were looking for another bar and our gps wasn’t clear, so while looking for it, we found this place) It was everything we could have hoped for and more! We are huge karaoke fans, so to stumble upon a place with karaoke was meant to be! I got to dance to great music and Chelsey was so welcoming and inviting! I even got a shirt to remember it by! We live 2 hours away, but if we ever find our way back to Somerville…we know where we are going for fun!

Went here for the first time last night. Had a blast rocking out to Squints with my buddies. We also caught some of Sand Machine before Squints took the stage. The place was sold out. Good energy, good sound, and a good time all around. The Jungle is a really cool live band venue tucked away in Somerville with food stands and restaurants surrounding it. Super friendly staff running the place. I love that it's mainly a live band space with a nice sized bar in the back. Support live music people. Super fun night at The Jungle! Looking forward to more shows!

Great little spot in Union Square (Somerville) behind a German restaurant, and a Gastro pub for local bands and local standups.

I am in love with The Jungle. Somehow, the other night was only just my first time coming despite my living in Cambridge for years (I went to see Pretty Fears performing live, which was incredible). The place is perfect -- great size and vibe and drinks and food. And the service was OUTSTANDING. Haley was running the bar alone for a packed house, but she made it look effortless! She was super fun and kind and professional and skilled and efficient; she even customized some cocktails for me, and helped me deliver tequila shots to the band after the performance. Will definitely be returning! A+++

Very cool place with very cool people. I caught strep after visiting here but would definitely go back! The bathrooms are far away down a couple hallways but they're pretty decent overall.

Awesome place! Great, well curated beer selection with lots of local highlights. The food is fantastic - they excel at everything that involves a frier, and I have yet to try anything that wasn't good! Love the vibe of the place, hope they reopen soon! Such a great option for local musicians to show off their craft.

Go for the live music. Menu is very limited, but is really about the music. Staff is friendly. Full bar.

Came to the Jungle to watch my daughter (DJ Propag8) and her SO (DIP) perform. The facility is nice, drinks were good and the sound system is first rate. I will be back!

Very small yet cozy atmosphere. Great food and great drinks. A wonderful place for both bands to get their name out, and for patrons to drink and enjoy the music

I've performed here for a while but never had their food until recently. I had their impossible burger (very uncertain if the is the name) and really enjoyed it! I love the amazing musicians who come to perform and the staff was wonderful! Definitely would recommend!

I've come here for drinks as well as played a few shows here as a solo acoustic act. The people are friendly and the service is great. Will continue to patron this club.

Love this place! Such a cool concept and mixed use space including cycling to live music which is innovative and fun. Excited to check them out again and try another class.

Went in for drinks, walked out with remorse. Place opens at 5, was empty at 7. We ordered 2 cocktails and neither of the bartenders knew how to make either of them! Needless to say, the drinks were underwhelming and not good. They just poured the ingredients into the glasses, didn't stir/shake them...and admitted to not knowing what they were making. In one case, not all of the ingredients were included. The beers were probably good...Should have stuck with what we know and gone next door for a great cocktail at the same price.
