This past summer I decided I needed more farmer's markets in my life (who doesn't?) and started bookmarking some new ones I hadn't been to before. I'm not really a local of the Kamm's Corners neighborhood, but it's decently close enough that it's still accessible to me as a west sider. The thing that really made me hone in on this particular market however is that it's one of the few that is open on Sunday. Many farmer's markets offer Saturday morning hours, but I just personally am used to doing my grocery shopping on Sundays so it's nice to find a market that offers that.
I see a lot of reviews commenting on the size of the market. It's definitely smaller than the Medina or Shaker Square markets (which are massive and definitely worth visiting!), but larger that most of the local ones like Lakewood or Brooklyn. For me, there's enough of a selection that it satisfies my desire for local produce. The downside is that there are rarely any meat options if you are an omnivore, and occasionally the one or two vendors that offer eggs are not present. There are plenty of the usual miscellany vendors such as honey, coffee, soap, kombucha. These are not a draw for me personally, as you can generally find these wares pretty easily at even the smallest of markets, however the produce selection is really what pulls me in. A lot of the smaller markets don't have a ton of variety, whereas this one actually does. Lots of varieties of greens, root vegetables, fruits, herbs and aromatics.
There's also generally a band playing and given that the market takes place behind Walgreens, there's plenty of lot parking available.
I would say if you're a west sider, this is about the best offering you can get outside of the West Side Market. I grew to really enjoy coming here weekly and will miss it when market season is over. For all you Sunday meal prep people, this is a good option for your Sunday shop. Hope the market continues to offer Sunday hours and I'm thankful to have it in the area.
