The rice was honestly kinda bland and the hummus was mildly sour. The gyro meat was solid though and the portions are massive for the price. Definitely a quantity over quality vibe though

Wow, food here was amazingly tasty for being a chain. Then again, if you started here I suppose there’s nothing like being the real deal. Service was awesome. The cashier helped me choose my meal, which good call on the bowl versus the plate by the way. The bowl was plenty and tasty. Got the original bowl with chicken and steak because I couldn’t decide. The sauce was delicious and the proteins were cooked perfect and so full of flavor. Would definitely recommend this place. Probably could’ve eaten here everyday just because I love Mediterranean/greek food and could live off of it everyday :)

We've been meaning to try this place out for years which is located near our church. So finally this past Sunday we decided to go there for lunch. The parking was easy, location was easy to find, the atmosphere was awesome along with the setup of the location. Ordered our food and once we received it it was like heaven. Absolutely delicious. The wraps the veggies all the sauces definitely coming back again for sure. This is some pretty good Mediterranean food for sure. Good to know there's multiple locations throughout San Diego and California..

Great food and great staff. They go above and beyond to make sure you are always a happy customer. The menu options have only continued to improve and this has been one of my favorite restaurants for the past 5 years. My recommendation is that you give them a try 👍🤌👌

Very clean kebab shop in Point Loma. This restaurant was spotless when we came in. It looked brand new. To order you pick a protein and how you want it served. They do wraps, salads, and plates. We got the falafel in wraps. Then you order your ingredients. They offer onions, lettuce, and a few other for free. For two dollars you can add two of either fries, feta, hummus, rice, or roasted veggies. The service was fast. We waited about 5 minutes. The portions are HUGE! We definitely could have split one between the two of us. At first we thought it was expensive at about $17 a wrap but if you split the wrap it’s extremely reasonable! They have extras sauces on the side. We really enjoy the spicy cilantro one. Overall I would highly recommend this spot if you like shawarma or it’s a great place to try shawarma for the first time.

We enjoy the food served at The Kebab Shop. It's fast food Mediterranean style. The menu is modern, with plates, wraps (Mediterranean burrito), boxes. Add to your meal with salads and sides. Tonight, we ordered plates. I had the steak (beef) plate with falafels and Greek salad. My husband ordered the traditional plate with thin sliced lamb and beef. More falafels, and brown rice. Our friend had the Greek chicken with hummus and pita bread. Food was good. You get 6 falafels with each order. Very generous in size and number. They are crispy, deep fried with chicken pea flour (and whole chickpeas inside). We enjoy the garlic yogurt sauce with our dinner. You might have noticed a falafels theme. The steak was good. Probably sirloin, with very little fat. Almost cooked well done. I prefer my steak rare but these are not cooked to order like other places. Like I said, Mediterranean fast food. My husband enjoyed the lamb and beef. And our friend liked the Greek chicken. The atmosphere is noisy with cold aluminum chairs and tables. (Fast food) The self serve drinks, utensils and condiments area was messy and needed to be restocked. The green (cilantro sauce) was empty as was the containers of plastic forks, There was only one person working the register and she was also responsible for maintaining the dining area. The place was crowded when we arrived, so it seemed they had a rush and the staff couldn't keep up. Normally, we order from the app and get it to go. This was our first time eating in. I prefer taking it to go. I will eat from this location again.

**** 2nd time - Bitter sweet update **** Well It seems my update got lost or in "review?" So I'll try to post again. It was a hectic day. After driving 2 hours I was anticipating a juicy gyro meat wrap (whatever they are called). My taste buds were anticipating the tantalizing rich flavors with the varied sauces. I could barely wait. I arrived the last 20 minutes of their opening. There were 3 people eating on different tables, and the chairs were already stacked up on the tables. Everything was cleaned up and put away except some prepackaged sauces. I thought. Hmm, are they in a hurry to leave already? I asked, "Are u taking orders?" Of course, They were happy to take my 4 wrap orders. I ordered to go, so I didn't have to have them clean up after me, and I get to save a 20% tip. Three people came in line after me. I took my order and we went to our car. I said to my daughter, "We have a good distance to drive home. The wraps won't be as hot. I want to take a few bites so I can enjoy the flavor while it's freshly hot. I unwrapped the foil and bit into the cold sandwich. I was like what???? The meat was refrigerated COLD. The tortilla was warmed up and the meat was cold. I was so disappointed. I won't tell u about the aftertaste. My daughter told me go back inside and make rhem heat the food. I said they are about to close. Im not gonna bother them. So I refused to eat that night. I told everyone it tastes horrible eaten cold. The sweet news ... The next day, I microwaved my wrap and drenched it with the 3 dill, cilantro, and red hot 🔥 sauces. Oh my gosh... that amazing flavor was kickin'. It was still fresh tasting the next day. My family enjoyed the meal. It's still very much worth it!!!! Moral of the story. U pay for delish food. $68 is not cheap for fam of 4. Even if it's the last minutes, ask for your meal to be hot. Let those viewers who made up the 15 million views decide what they think. **** 1st time **** Although the temperature within the Kebab Shop is on the chilly side (maybe bring a sweater?), The fresh, delicious food truly made up for the difference. And then some. I was shocked to see how large the Kebab Shop makes their wraps. Talk about fresh and delish!!! You may think it's pricey, but have u eaten at McD? Their prices are outrageous for j**nky food!

I think this might possibly have been the cleanest and efficient Kebab Shop I've been to thus far. Today we got to try the Grilled Steak Kebab with Tabouli Salad and it came out within about five minutes after ordering. The steak was juicy and tender - they didn't ask how I wanted it cooked so it came out medium. The Tabouli Salad was light and fresh tasting with a lemony fragrance. It paired well with the steak. I would maybe recommend they serve the plate with a little bit of pita bread if it's an option. We also ordered a Greek Salad and a side of Falafel. Falafels were delicious (who doesn't love fried falafel?) and the salad was absolutely humongous. We will be taking half of it home for later.

The food was okay, but the service was weak especially when it came to greeting or acknowledging people walking in. The ambiance was decent: good music but dirty floors that had food particles from previous customers left on the floor. Then came the food. The chicken was completely burnt not just overcooked, but blackened beyond recognition. Every skewer looked like it had been sacrificed to the grill gods. If you don't get sick from eating here, you might still take a health hit from all the charred meat. Seriously, this is the stuff they warn you about in biology class burnt food loaded with potential carcinogens. I also ordered steak, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, it was the exact opposite problem. It felt like they just waved it over the heat and sent it out. I asked for medium-well what I got was cold, bloody, and barely cooked. Totally unappetizing and difficult to chew. I picked apart the chicken skewers and took out a handful of burnt parts. While the steak I ate what I can and the rest I threw away. It was a complete waste of money. Will avoid this location next time. Last note: They are very service oriented with a few customers but it looks like these are their every day customers that they know of throughout their experience. Hope this helps! On to the next.

I LOVE TKS! I have been vegetarian for a few months and love their falafel wrap. Their wraps are more like giant burritos due to their size and they are SO good. Their sauces are sooo delicious. The jalapeño cilantro is my favorite as well as the OG sauce. Their dill sauce is so good too! This location is amazing. They keep everything SUPER clean and I like that you can see the line and all the delicious veggies laid out and can watch them make your food. The ladies that work here are super nice, also they are SO fast! It's never too busy when I come and they get my order done super quick. Highly recommend. I hope they stay for a while!!!

TKS is the picture of perfection when it comes to consistency & quality. Always super fresh and savory eats. Friendly staff & clean locations. Always a must visit when I'm in San Diego.

Dillon was so incredibly helpful and made this first visit extra special. If he's not already the manager, he should be. Love his positive energy. Just take my money! And I haven't even tried the food yet. Will definitely be back!

I don't think this place is worth the money. $18 for a bowl is pretty steep. I got a steak bowl with rice, greens and grilled veggies and the food wasn't amazing. It did the job but for $18 I could get a huge salad at Mendocino Farms. I probably would not go back.

Great predictable food. Loved the falafel as it had a little spice and some crunch to it. It's quick service food ready to be scooped out. Good quality food for the price you pay. Recommend if you're in a hurry and want something quick. Good indoor seating, but most people carry out and not dine in.

On the way back from walking the dogs at the beach we decided to give this place a try. I ordered the mixed Kabab wrap. The photos looked so good, and the portions were large, but they were not cheap either. However, the meat in mine wasn't that great, and twice I with into something hard that hurt my teeth. Maybe some small pieces of bone or something I am not sure. For me the meat was a bit bland. The place isn't huge but there was a decent amount of seating indoors, although with the layout it is a little packed in there. They have a bar where you can help yourself to sauces, but they were all out of some of them so you had to wait to ask a worker and they did have some in the back. They looked low on meat so maybe that was part of the problem since we were mostly getting the most interior pieces. I did enjoy the large portions but the flavor was just ok. I tried a few of their sauces and they were pretty good. We had the dogs with us so we ate outside. Got hassled by some people begging for money (twice) as it's not located in the nicest area. I would suggest eating inside. All in all it wasn't a great experience, but I could see myself coming back to give it another shot at some point.

They have excellent food! The atmosphere is great inside, I like that they allow you to get your own sauces and don't nickel and dime you for them. The service could be better, which is why I took off one star.

Very good! First visit. I ordered the grilled chicken kabob wrap and my husband got the gyro bowl/salad. The portions are huge! I loved the wrap, it was fresh and tasty. I wish there was a screen you could order on, as the menu is overwhelming and I feel like I forgot to add some things I wanted to try. The lady that prepared our order made a mistake on the bowl, so she made another for free which was really nice. I felt like there was too much lettuce in my wrap so it took away from the chicken. I would prob not get lettuce next time. The cilantro jalapeño sauce and the dill yogurt are next level! I love how you can get some extra on the side at the counter. Will def be back next time we are in town. I wish they had locations in Las Vegas. The place was very clean.

Saw good reviews on Yelp and decided to drop in for lunch. Quick service despite the place being packed. Great selection, everything was fresh and prepared while you waited. Really excellent food at a reasonable price.

We love coming in for a quick bite. The kids love the menu and the staff is helpful. Tonight we were served by Sareena, Ashley, and Melvin. They took good care of us!

I've been coming here for years. All I can say is the quality of the food and the servings changed completely. So one the french fries quality Used to be good and now the quality of the fries is like fast food restaurants. As for the serving they used to give you big and nice working serving. But now it's small and almost offensive. Good luck guys I'm not gonna be back anymore...

Found a dead spider inside the rice. I had ordered a grilled chicken plate, which came with about 5oz of chicken. Pretty underwhelming wouldn't come here again.

We stopped by for dinner after going to the beach with the dogs. I have wanted to try this place for a long time, but it wasn't in the nicest location, with a lot of sketchy people walking by the restaurant. The service was ok, they quickly explained the ordering process, we ordered the San Diego wrap and the Super Duper, the portions were large and full, and they had a good variety of sauces to choose from, the green spicy sauce was my favorite. I did have an issue with my wrap, halfway through I kept biting into something that I thought may have been bone but was bits of possible plastic. Not sure if I would come back, but maybe a different location.

Yummy!! Everything was fresh, the yogurt garlic sauce was flavorful. The hot sauces were flavorful as well. The carved chicken itself could've used more seasoning. Service was very friendly. My husband enjoyed his wrap. We would come back.

The ladies here at the Sports Arena / Midway TKS always, always treat you like family. The food was Great tasting and looked like a work of art, and not just thrown on a plate. Been to the otay ranch location and it doesn't compare to this location at all. Awesome job and keep up the Wonderful work and customer service you provide. The best kebab shop in San Diego!! I live in Escondido but when I'm down here, this is one of my go to restaurants. The staff is always attentive and has great customer service. Thanks to Sareena, Kayla, Melvin and Jay for the hospitality!!

First time here and very impressed with the food and service! We came over here after our church service and ate so glad that we did. The food was really tasty and we will definitely eat here again. Ashley was very helpful in taking our order and very patient with us in the process. Melvin and Sareena were great also. Thank you for a good food experience! Big plus is that they also offer a military discount which is so great!

Stop #8 on the Kebab Shop World Tour: Point Loma This location is off Rosecrans which, if you're local you know, gets a tad bit busy. The restaurant is on the far, far end of the Sprouts shopping center and is a little hidden but not bad. Inside was squeaky clean and service was top notch. Yours truly had a hankering for a Döner kebab box with spicy hummus and my boys didn't disappoint. Great food, as always and generous portions. Always a win.

The food here can be great just mind who is taking your order. The girl with the long lashes (today around 5:30) was in too much of a rush to get our order right so they completely botched the whole thing. Hire adults when available.

I tried the Kebab shop location in Ventura and have loved it ever since, so when I was getting into San Diego after a long work week I was craving the freshness and cleanliness feel of the Kebab Shop food. I had the San Diego wrap previously which was fantastic and turned me onto this place in the first place. This time I had a bowl on greens with chicken and added rice and hummus. They have the greatest mixture of flavors with their ingredients and the classic garlic yogurt sauce brings it all together. Love this place and have tried to make my own version at home but just doesn't compare.

We had just driven in from AZ and were tired but wanted a quick hearty meal. Wow, I was so impressed. Service was great and the rep at the counter was so helpful and patient while we figure out what we wanted. You pick the type of meal you want, wrap, bowl or plate and then pick your toppings and sides. The steak was insanely tasty and seasoned so well! The chicken was tender, the sauces were all so good (used them all), pita and hummus was so good. The pita was like cloud and the flatbread was charred and delicious. It was quiet and just a quick bites vibe. Our girls loved the feta and yogurt fries and their wraps were so good they couldn't stop talking about how yummy it was. The wraps are massive!!! Our 12 and 13 year olds could have split one they are about 12" long. We loved the story and history of the restaurant and so excited for their growth. It was our first time in this area and we are so happy we found them! Definitely a great stop if you are looking for a healthy, super tasty meal. I saw they had kale salads too on my way out.

Please open a store in Sacramento! Your food us delicious and a wonderful healthy alternative. I like how we can choose whatever items we want to make a unique meal. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap with brown rice. The wrap is so big it lasted me two meals, and I ate there twice! The chicken was tender and delicious, the wrap was soft and tasty, and the rest of the goodies, including the sauce, were utterly delicious! So glad I found you while I was there. Do yourself a favor and eat at the Kebab shop!

I come here often and food is always done just right, delicious! Love this spot, never disappointed. Sareena, Kayla, Jay & Gabe are working hard. Food came out quick and place was nice and clean, crew is kind to their customers. Give it a shot!

This place never disappoints. I know it's a chain and there's so many other locations, but it's still good. I always get the chicken shawarma wrap and I drown it in garlic sauce. That sauce is so good I can drink it. It's such a big wrap that I can never finish it. My husband got the plate and loved it. Also got the fries with feta and pickled onion and it was really good as well. Use the Yelp check in to get 50% off. Kayla was awesome and helped us choose what to order. Made us feel so welcomed and we really appreciated it. Easy parking out front.

I got to try this eatery from Yelp elite which we got the steak plate with tabouli salad and I also ended up ordering the San Diego wrap with steak and the grilled chicken box with greens. I'm so glad I got the opportunity to try TKS finally because I'd definitely be back! This place was very clean and so were their bathrooms. The cashier was nice and there was surprisingly a good amount of people trickling in and out along with a good amount of diners. Their sauce bar! Omg don't sleep on it! There's even a sign that says that lol. Their sauces are bombbbb!!!!!! It's self serve too so you're able to get as much as you want. There were the OG yogurt sauce, cilantro jalapeño, and fire chili. The OG yogurt sauce is pretty standard but good. Nice little tartness but pretty average. No dills or cucumbers inside like a tzatziki sauce. The cilantro jalapeño is thick creamy goodness! It's so greenly amazing. Now the fire chili. Omg that sauce is fire!!! It has a little kick to it and honestly tastes so much better than hot sauces at the taco shops. Their 3 sauces seems very versatile and able to be put on other stuff. Wonder if they sell it jarred I'd definitely buy! The steak kebab was nicely charred and flavorful. Although the tabouli salad was not nasty I probably wouldn't get it again but it wasn't bad at all. It was actually pretty tart and refreshing but not my cup of tea. The San Diego steak wrap was delicious especially topped with the sauces on every single bite! The grilled chicken box with greens was basically like a salad with the yogurt sauce. Sounds weird but I added more yogurt, cilantro jalapeño, and fire chili sauces to it and it kicked the salad up a notch! Also!!!! Their pickled red onions!!! Chef's kiss! I got both onions; which is the red onions and pickled red onions in my foods which made it that much more amazing!

I originally wasn't going to leave a comment based on the food not having any flavor, and the little bit of meat in the wrap being cold, but when I got home and opened it there was hair on my wrap; Long dark hair and I'm a bald male who lives alone.

Was craving Mediterranean and saw this spot had great yelp reviews, so I figured it had to be good, and it definitely was! The spot was spacious and clean looking, and there was only one table taken with people eating. With that in mind, we did have to wait about 20 minutes for our food, which did feel like a lot considering they did not have to cook anything, just assemble. The wrap itself ended up costing around $20, which was alarming to me! $20 for a wrap?!?!?! The wrap was huge though, and it could have been two meals if I had any self control. The flavor was good, every bite tasted a little different which I loved! All 3 sauces were also packed with flavor and really enhanced the wrap. Overall, though this place is pricey, you are getting a great value and great flavor.

Absolutely an instant fav !!!! The flavorful rice was perfect and the meats were seasoned so well. We ate the plate with with brown rice (literally the best brown rice I have ever eaten - it actually tasted NORMAL !!!) also ordered the wrap and the bowl. The portion sizes were middle eastern in nature and we ate off it for like two days. Will absolutely return!!!!

San Diego has plenty of tasty Mediterranean eateries to choose from, but there is something unique about The Kebab Shop's flavors that make it a little bit extra special. The quality seems a little bit higher, fresher, and the sauces a little extra flavorful. I know this is small local chain now, but I can certainly understand why...its good! $12.50 for the Fries Wrap with chicken. That certainly seems like a lot of money for a Mediterranean wrap, but the thing is HUGE! I'm 6 foot 2 inches, and the wrap is the same size and nearly the same girth as my forearm. Fresh and delicious! I recommend adding some of that garlic sauce or hot sauce to each bite.

Perfect spot for a quick bite that's packed with flavor! The sauce added to the kabob is full of flavor I recommend not over doing it like I did there are many flavors to enjoy!

Lots of seating available. The portions are pretty filling and the wraps are huge. The doner fries were bomb and the service was quick. Self-serve sauce and drinks. Definitely recommend.

This location is hit or miss on flavor and service. Today was a miss. Fries were cold and not as crispy as usual right from the get go. The wrap is always long in size but the chicken and filling had zero flavor today. Every bite needed extra sauce. Thankfully, I loaded up on sauces and those are always very consistently delicious. Skip the French fries. Not worth the extra cost as a side. Maybe try the hummus. Parking can be tough in this area but spots are available.

This review is for those with gluten restriction: I got the chicken with rice and salad. All tested negative for gluten but the sauces tested positive for gluten so when you order don't get the sauce. Other then that the food was so good and great customer service!

Such nice people working here. Store is clean, comfortable and we got our yummy food fast. Love the Kebab Shop
