"If the idea of passing out on the beach after a crab feast sounds like a good idea, then head to Kentmorr. The retooled restaurant reopened last spring with a new owner: D.C.’s Atlas Brew Works. The crab house sits next to a tropical-themed beach outfitted with several hammock swings." - Tierney Plumb, Tim Ebner

We went here for the first time last week and had a great time. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The crab dip is a must try here. Fish and chips were good just not anything exciting. Great prices for beers and drinks. The outside seating area is my favorite part. You get to enjoy a nice meal by the water. The beach area is blocked off for some reason. After we ate we walked around the dock a little. I would love to come back and try more items on the menu.

This was one of the best experiences I've encountered this year , me and my beautiful wife went out for her birthday and we had a ball ! First and foremost the crab dip appetizer was A-1 accompanied with very fresh baked bread. Our waitress was Grace and she was outstanding 👏, we both had the crab cake dinner with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. The service was excellent the food was prepared to perfection and the beach atmosphere was right on time! Keep up the great work Grace and we'll see you soon.

ABSOLUTELY Spectacular atmosphere & view. The food was delicious .. the crabs were scrumptious 😋. They even have a Tiki Bar ⛱️. The parking is VERY limited & we arrived at 12p when they 1st opened. Just be warned if you have a group of 5 or more .. we had 4 separate checks & each of paid between $24 ‐ $26pp for Gratuity. I had close to the lowest balance than the others but somehow paid the most Gratuity which was weird, but when I questioned it, the server started stumbling over her words & couldn't explain it.

Well being from the South I decided to partake in the blue crabs from up North. So this was the first time I actually had to take the crab apart myself and I believe it alittle too much work for me. So I order some crab cakes which were quite good. I also enjoyed there Islander pizza and the ingredients were so fresh. Cool story I learned from the waitress is the guy making the pizza is the same guy who has been making it since the restaurant opened. Also the dessert of the key lime pie and chocolate lava cake will put a smile on anyone's face. There was lve music and a small beach area in the backyard with games.

The drive here is nice and relaxing. Situated on the waters makes it a nice go to spot. The restaurant is located in a quaint little neighborhood, with stunning water views from tables and its own beach bar area. The food was okay-ish, hush puppies were really oily, crabs by itself were not cleaned thoroughly. Crab sizes were decent. Pizza was disappointing. Kids just like the idea of pizza. The only dish I liked was crab cakes. Restaurant gets busy in summer weekend evenings, wait times can get a bit crazy. Service is nice and slow but staff is very friendly and accommodating. Outdoor seating can use some more umbrella shades. They have a bar nearby, drinks served aren’t great but you don’t really have any other option. Nice seating area, good to take your kids. Also nice for couples and family gatherings. Won’t recommend for special occasions. With sand so near, seafood menu, restroom and the whole place isn’t as clean as expected.

Yelp
Stopped by for Happy hour on a Thursday. Restaurant & parking lot was pretty empty. A few people at the bar. By 430p, more people started coming in There are happy hour food and drink specials Orange Crush was good Wings were good too. Seemed like store brought blue cheese

Yelp
Crabs we're on point , soft drinks flat; Customer Service was good; Temperature in the dining area was good; however, the decor is OUTDATED and the restroom could use a refresh -- the sink location is not positioned right (feng shui off). Oh, also, at the time I went -- customers were UNABLE to use the beach -- most we could do is look at the water, we could not get in. I hope the NEW Management will consider renewing license first patrons to use the beach - even if at own risk.

Yelp
This is a cute little spot with its own little beach. Perfect for chilling with family or friends by the water while enjoying a bite to eat. We just grabbed some cheeseburgers and fries and it was good! Nice juicy burger with gooey cheese! The service was great and everyone was super friendly and helpful! The drinks were delicious! I had a strawberry daiquiri and it was so refreshing. The outside bar is also dope and I love how it's for 21 and up only. The swimmable beaches are located a few minutes away (by car) which is fine but the parking here is pretty awful.

Yelp
Stopped here on our way to Rehoboth specifically because I heard such great things about their oysters. Granted I came here in winter, but was still disappointed that they didn't have any fresh raw oysters. I ordered their filet o kentmorr with sweet potato waffle fries. The fries were better than the sandwich, nothing special. Scenery is nice and I can see this spot being popular in warmer weather, but the food was nothing to brag about. Also be aware this restaurant is about 20 mins away from route 50.

Yelp
This place was a dream! I love crabs and they had my favorite X-large. The weather was great and the service was awesome! We sat outside in the beautiful sun! Plus a band was playing and this all on a Tuesday! It was a good boat day! They made it extra special.

Yelp
I recently went on a cloudy Sunday for crabs, they were heavy, delicious and juicy, with reasonable prices; had great service, too. While the outdoor seating is incredible with view of bay & bridge, inside is fun with sounds of football cheers. I love the shirts and sweatshirt with the crab on the back! I bought 3 as gifts and get compliments everywhere I've worn the sweatshirt!

Melissa M.

Yelp
Want a fabulous waterfront dining experience? Want your feet in the sand and the sun on your back while you enjoy your favorite orange crush or crabcake sandwich? If not, there is plenty of room inside, under cover, in the Kentmorr restaurant. This place has wonderful appetizers, entrees and delicious desserts. A specialty chef creates his own sauce and pizzas...they are outstanding! Seafood and crabs are top-notch. The service is great, too!

Caitlin F.

Yelp
Beautiful fall views, thoughtful staff, and amazing food. I wasn't sure what to expect as I drove through a small residential development, but what a gem! We had a larger party than expected, and we were accommodated immediately. The service was perfectly paced, food (literally everything ordered was delicious) and atmosphere were fun and casual. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Closed Monday. No notice. Closed Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas Obvious they don't want business Their voice mail. Tells you they are open You find out when you get there. They aren't !!!

Yelp
You really can't miss when you're on the Shore! A beach view and delicious seafood? Win/Win. If you arrive early enough on a weekend, you can snag a free cabana. It's nothing fancy - a pallet based construct painted black with two Adirondack chairs facing the water. We called ahead to confirm opening time so we could snag a cabana but when we arrived, we were told there was a private event and the beach area was not available. Big bummer, but we made the most of it. We sat at one of many outdoor high top tables after starting tabs at the outdoor bar. The waiter was quiet but kind. Our drinks were delicious. The strawberry daiquiris are my fave. We ordered old bay wings with a side of honey, tater tots tops with crab dip, and of course MORE crab dip on the side. The crab dip was really good as were the perfectly fried wings. We spent the afternoon taking in the view and 80-90s music vibes. I love it here when it's not crowded. Everyone was kind, and we'll be back for sure. Kentmoor is a staple that I hope it continues to be around for years to come.

Yelp
Loved this place! The restaurant is located on a pier and extends to a beach area that has a bar with high top seating areas and a side for dining. Our first time going was on Father's Day, going earlier in the day made getting a table very quick. If you plan to go on a holiday, definitely get there early. Everything we ordered was delicious! If you're ordering crabs you do have to dine-in but it's worth it. After dinner, we ordered cocktails at the beach area bar, you could easily spend your entire evening there. A perfect place for families and date night.

Yelp
(This is an updated review) The last time I was here was pre-Covid 2019 and that was my first time eating there. Not much has changed...the wait staff was attentive and quick, and they checked on us throughout our meal. The ambiance is the same...I wouldn't change the boat dock and beach located on the property. My only gripe was that I wanted fried shrimp and it came with vegetables. I was told before I asked, that substitution for fries would be an upcharge. I don't remember that being an issue, but I didn't order fried shrimp last time. I didn't want vegetables and didn't want to pay the upcharge so I shared a pizza with my son. As I stated in my last review, just another average crab house you'll find in Maryland.

Kristen M.

Yelp
Went to dinner to meet family on a Friday night. My mom and niece got the crabs, and they were huge and delicious! We also got 2 pizzas. Cheese pizza and their seafood pizza and both were amazing! I ordered 2 to go. Our service/waitress was great. We also ordered 2 desserts. We looked like vultures eating the Blondie/brownie dessert with peanut butter ice cream on top! Overall was a great experience. Pretty night with a great view of the sunset as well.

Yelp
We stopped for lunch on a Saturday about 2pm. We're seated right away. Service was quick and friendly. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Nice portions and good prices too! It's right on the water so great views from many tables throughout the restaurant.

Yelp
It's unfortunate but this place has gone down, hard... The service isn't terrible, but also isn't wowing. The facility is seriously lacking and the bathrooms are a prime example. The food has really taken a dive over the past year or so. It's mediocre at best. Cost cutting has become a priority over quality. It's a shame. I'd suggest to the owners that they reevaluate the goal of the restaurant. It's a tipping point for a quality location.

Yelp
Kentmorr Restaurant has new owners. They need to bring back the old menu, cook and management. The new owners are the Atlas Brewing company out of Washington, DC. Their crabcake tastes like it was made by someone who isn't from the Eastern Shore. Flavorless, a little oily, jalapeño tartar sauce didn't enhance. Cole slaw wasn't any good. Average hamburger. Unfriendly Hostess wouldn't seat us until we were both standing there - even though lots of empty tables. She must have known that was a dumb policy. The most egregious SIN the new owners have committed is they took the homemade coconut ice cream and homemade coconut and rum cakes off of the menu. We literally drove 20 miles today for that ice cream and cake. It had been absolutely superb but no more. Really stupid move!! There isn't any reason to come back. They took off Dave's hamburger too which was so good. The crab cakes used to be good too. The food is inexpensive. You can't beat the price. The place was clean swept but the sweeping while we were eating was annoying. The waitresses were nice. The eastern shore has a lot of great, friendly, down to earth people and it's one of the big reasons why we prefer to regularly travel to the eastern shore to have a meal. This place looks the same, same great views, same great Sandy beach bar and location, but it no longer feels like Kentmorr Restaurant. It's as if they ditched the best parts and substituted typical blah fare. Why?! Why?! Why?!

Jessi S.

Yelp
Loved the vibe outside, you can eat and drink right on the beach! There aren't many tables for larger groups outside especially if you want to be in the shade so we sat inside. Our server was on top of it and super enthusiastic. Their whole menu looked great, we went with the old bay chicken wings, fried fish tacos, and fish and chips. The food was sub par and took over an hour to come out. $14 for 6 very small wings was pricy and they were just ok- not a lot of old bay flavoring. The fish tacos also disappointing with just a single small chunk of fish in each taco. The fish and chips were the saving Grace of our meal- perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. None of our sauces/garnishes came out with the food so we missed out on the jalapeño remoulade, grilled lemon, and blue cheese that was suppose to accompany it.

Yelp
If you had a boat and needed somewhere to dock it, this may not be bad. But the drinks seem pretty watered down and the crab dip is ridiculously expensive ($24 today) and very bland with very little crab in it. We didn't get the crabs but it looks like they steam them and then pile a ton of old bay on top. Today's prices were $65 for a dozen of the small crabs.

Yelp
We went on Fathers Day, not sure if they had to mix up cream of crab quickly or what, but every spoonful had shells . Disappointing . Tasted fine . Crab cake eggrolls need a diff dipping sauce, something to cut the richness of the crab . We also had Chesapeake chicken , very good . Service was awesome . Not sure her name, she was also the bartender . Will def be back .

Carson J.

Yelp
Amazing food and view. Great stop for my new local restaurant since I just moved here

Yelp
We've been longtime Kentmorr fans and were really sad to see them close last year. Fast Forward to today, and that frown has turned upside down! It looks like Atlas Brewing has done a GREAT job of keeping the traditions while adding some new flair! We had the MD Crab Soup, Crab Pretzel, Crab Cake, and the Crab Pizza (which isn't on the regular menu, bc it depends on supply). Steamed Crabs seem to also be available! Hopefully, the Kentmorr tradition of greatness will continue for many years to come!

Lex W.

Yelp
Just walked in to eat crabs , says they have been closed since October. Make sure to call before . Not sure when they will be opening again. They are under new management.

Susan H.

Yelp
We went there the week of the Fourth of July. Hardy anyone there. Plenty of staff. Asked to sit in the AC, they sat us on the porch. Not a big deal. The menu has really changed for the least choices available for someone avoiding seafood. Looking and looking, we could not find chicken or a plain burger. We did see the instructions, " no substitutions". We were there more than 7 minutes and we were not acknowledged by any of the socializing staff. Again, they were not busy. We left. End of story, end of Kentmorr for us. Limited food, no service. Used to be on our lunch rotation.

Graceanne B.

Yelp
Quesadillas were very greasy The shrimp and pineapple lacked flavor Why are the sides served either this dish tater tots or fries and not rice Friendly staff and great views

Yelp
I adore this Crab House. It's my favorite one in Maryland not only because of the water/views, but because the crabs are so delicious here! It's a great spot to boat to because you can tie up your boat while you eat and hang out on their private beach. When we come, we get a dozen crabs to share. The only hiccup we had on our recent visit was when they brought JO instead of Old Bay for my Dad's girlfriend like she had asked (she wasn't thrilled), but they remedied this immediately so it wasn't too bad. The crabs here are divine! They're meaty and tasty. Maryland crabs are my favorite too. I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant for any and all crab cravings this summer.

Lynne M.

Yelp
We were greeted at the door by a friendly employee and seated at a great table by the window with a wonderful view. Our waitress was friendly and my husband and I ordered. Fish and Chips for him and Crabcake Sandwich for me. Our food can pretty fast and looked good. I tasted my crabcake and although the outside was warm, the inside was very cold. Our waitress apologized and said that the kitchen would remake my sandwich. I actually would have been happy if they'd warmed it up, but okay! I urged my husband to go on with his meal and we waited. And waited. And waited. The waitress came by a few times and kept apologizing but still no food. Meanwhile diners all around us were being served. My husband ate as slowly as possible (and he's a very slow eater!) still no food. When we asked the waitress again what was going on she said," oh we got busy and a bunch of orders went in ahead of yours". This was about an hour later. Still no food. We asked for the check and to speak to a manager. She couldn't find one and said, "I took it off your bill". Like she was doing us a favor! We left feeling disappointed and in my case hungry! When we first arrived we were saying what a fun place to return with a group of friends. We will definitely not be doing that now!

Emily P.

Yelp
It's not dog friendly. Which is fine, but they also don't allow service/emotional support animals. Which sucks. So please!! Don't come here if you have them. Service was okay. The wait for the food was like them going out to fish for our food & kill it. It took 30/40 mins for our food. I really wouldn't recommend this place just cause it's below mediocre. Only good thing is the view.

Christian S.

Yelp
It's not that easy to find but it's worth the search. You can get there by car or boat. Pizza is great and they have lots to choose from on the menus. Super Friendly staff.

Preston W.

Yelp
I ordered the steak meal. It was alright, but definitely not worth $36. In all honesty it was the worst steak I have had this year. I don't see myself going back in the future. One of my friends ordered a salmon meal and was similarly let down. Our third friend enjoyed his crab quesadilla, so I guess that's 1/3 satisfied customers... I probably should not have ordered steak at a seafood restaurant. Not sure why it's offered, but I'll take the blame for my own decision.

Jake S.

Yelp
Stopped in for late lunch on wednesday after a day right on the beach nearby. The server was awesome. She knew the menu inside and out. We picked a table inside since it was so hot outside. We decided to get a few apps and steamed crabs. The best thing we ate, hands down, was the hushpuppies with jalapeño in them. Man, they were outrageously good 5 out of 5. The main thing we didn't like, and the whole reason we went here, was the steamed crabs (1 out of 5). We didn't know they came with JO seasoning instead of old bay. That's fine, I guess, as long as we have old bay on the side that our server brought us. These crabs were so dried out and clearly had been sitting waiting to be eaten, probably since the weekend. These things were NOT worth the 90$/dozen for larges. We tried the street corn special, scored it a 3 of 5. Didn't even want dessert here. We just decided to go down the street for dessert. We will not be back. Jake n kev

Yelp
Kentmorr is such a gem! The restaurant is located in a quaint little neighborhood, with stunning water views from tables and it's own beach bar area. The food was outstanding, especially the crab cakes and seafood pizza. The Manager, Grace, was so warm and friendly. She went out of her way to take good care of our family. This restaurant is 10/10!

Rae M.

Yelp
On the strength of a co-worker, my dining companion suggested we try Kentmoor Restaurant and Crab Shack. We made reservations through Yelp and arrived on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was congested, but luckily they have parking attendants to direct traffic. As you walk towards the restaurant, we were stopped by another employee that asked if we were there for the beach or restaurant. Since Kentmorr is located directly on the water, they have a beach in the back of the restaurant. We would've come for the beach, but didn't make reservations early enough. Not sure how early in advance you have to make them, but you can reserve a space on the beach for $5 and eat on the beach. We went to the restaurant side, where you can eat under the covered outdoor porch with ceiling fans or indoors. We ate outdoors. Service and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful! Although we didn't order crabs, we noticed the tables around us did and they were pretty large. The food we did order was pretty tasty, with the exception of my potato casserole. I wasn't a fan! My stuffed cod with crab imperial had more shells than I would like, but had good flavor. The drinks we ordered were just okay. Not sure if the restaurant bathroom is the only one on site for the beach and the restaurant, but it's horrible. It contains only two stalls, the floors were wet and grimy, and at any given time a line was outside the door. I guess if you're solely coming here for crabs this would be a great spot to visit, but I personally am not interested in traveling over an hour to eat crabs and go home. That's just my opinion. This was an okay restaurant and I probably would've enjoyed the beach experience much better, but I wouldn't make a special trip to come here in the future. It's just too many other options in Kent Island to choose from. We tried it, it was okay, on to the next.

Donyale H.

Yelp
This is an awesome place for a perfect summer day!! If you didn't know you were in Maryland, you may think you are on the shores if Florida. The food is good except I found the batter that they fry things in a but salty. But the crabs were good and the calamari was super duper fresh (wish they had another dipping sauce besides marinara. A Thai Chili Sauce would be great!!!!! Service was good and very accommodating. A good time. I went in the day time - I am sure it is popping at night!! Will definitely go again!!

Michelle C.

Yelp
Yes, yes, and yes. They have a whole little Tiki Bar beach vibes going on behind the restaurant. It's a huge place but it wasn't crowded. Located right on the marina. The seafood food is fresh and delicious, the drinks are not strong but not watered down. Servers are upbeat and friendly. Tucked away very nicely behind a community in Stevensville, MD. Would recommend to anyone looking for a one dat road trip. Just a nice place to hangout, eat crabs, shrimps, and whatever seafood you fancy. I'm sure they serve other food items, but we were there for crabs and seafood only.

Lurine J.

Yelp
Great service! And a great location! I landed on the fish sand-which and it was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed and the portion was great. The node potato salad was pretty good too....not better than my own but still good. My daughter landed on a brick oven pizza, it tasted pretty good too....yes I had a little of her pizza. My hibby swore up and down his pizza was good, but it didn't look like anything I would want to eat. I didn't have any. All in all it's a great place to go and the beach out back is pretty cool to enjoy on a hot summer day. It was really windy when we went. Still a great way to spend time together on a pretty Saturday afternoon.

Pablo D.

Yelp
The "No" restaurant was the first thing I thought when went there. "No this", "no that" all over the place. Went with a couple friends to the small beach they have ("no swimming") for something like a day out. It's OK, but it feels more like a playground. Food is standard bar grub, on the simple side (tacos, burguers, pizza and the usual "beachside" fare), and beers come in small cups. There is a full restaurant next to it but we did not try it.

Kirsten L.

Yelp
Second trip to the Kentmorr while visiting Stevensville, MD. This visit we were prepared for hanging out on the beach at the Tiki Bar. It costs $5 per person to stay as long as you wish at the beach. No outside food or drinks are allowed, but that's not a problem. They have free water in coolers with cups. It was a quiet day at the beach on Wednesday. We arrived at 11:30 when they opened & had prime pickings of the umbrellas. I got a Blue Tiki & slowly enjoyed my tropical drink as I looked for sea glass, watched the waves, birds & children. We ordered their delicious crab pizza. (One can only order pizza at the bar. For other foods, you must order inside.) I ordered a Dark & Stormy, rum drink, to enjoy with the pizza. They have fruit slushies that kiddos can enjoy. We also ordered hush puppies. Maryland has the best hush puppies. Better than IN or KY. They are usually cylindrically shaped. They were spheres, but still tasted the same, thank goodness. Kentmorr Beach is a great place to chill. The food & drink is delicious & there's the beach! I will visit every time I come to MD.

Yelp
Been visiting this venue for the last 3 years or so, probably been about a dozen times. Highly recommended, in fact I've brought a group of 10 with us yesterday. It's waterfront with lots of boats docking along the pier, has a but small nice tiki bar on the sand with tables and access to the water. Upon entering they check for id, look through your bag if you bring one and give you a wristband. The tiki bar is two sided and has about 3 bartenders working it. They offer orange, peach and grapefruit crushes that are mixed w Smirnoff alcohol. They also offer frozen drinks that make you feel like you are on a Caribbean island. You can order food at the tiki bar and will be given a buzzer and will pick up the food nearby. The food is pretty good. They also have corn hole. We come for day drinking and always make a reservation for their connected restaurant for the crabs. Highly recommend and will most likely be back in the next few weeks.

Stacy C.

Yelp
Smallest carbs EVER!!!!!! We ordered large crabs and they were small as ever! We asked the waitress about the size /.. she stated they are washers them and didn't weigh them. I then ordered shrimp tacos.. NO FLAVOR! I will never come back!!!

Keonna S.

Yelp
The crab pizza was really good , loved the calamari. Yeah not thing i wished was a little better was the crab pretzel . It wasn't terrible but It wasn't all that great either & for $17.99 i want It to taste much better than that haha . Parking is definitely terrible lol it's very minimal .

Yasuyo T.

Yelp
We come here to eat crab at least once a year during summer time. It takes almost 2 hours including traffic from the area where we live. But it is so worth it. We came here to have a lunch on July 3rd. We made a reservation via Yelp. We got a table outside. We got a nice ocean breeze. It made my day. We had extra size crabs. All the crabs had eggs. They were so meaty. We felt so lucky to come here to have crabs at the right season. When it comes to crabs, this is the place. Great service and great outdoor seating.

Such a beautiful restaurant but it has issues. First of all they only carry beer from Atlas Brewing so the variety is very limited. They didn't have baked potatoes. The burgers were very basic. I understand that this is a seafood restaurant however there are a lot of people who don't eat seafood. They did have a chicken sandwich and pizzas. Now the food was actually pretty good. Service was good as well. Overall, you won't get everything you want but it's an ok place to go to. Parking is kind of limited.

Yelp
My wife and i were coming back from OC and decided to make a stop at this wonderful restaurant. Hostess greeted us very friendly. Leslie our amazing server did an amazing Job. The food was very delicious: Rockfish with the Poblano Sauce and of-course my favorite steamed shrimp. Thank you so much Keep up the great work.

Yelp
We went to Kentmoor Sunday evening. We live close by and didn't want to travel too far. This is the first time we went to the restaurant after new management took over. Unfortunately only the soup was good. The Caesar salad had little dressing plus the croutons were stale. The other meals were below average. It really has changed I was sorry I didn't order crabs which could have been very good. The servers are very friendly and the venue is so lovely. We hope they upgrade their menu and have better meals in the future.

Yelp
Went to this place for years! Especially for crabs, can't go wrong with eating crabs in the summer! Came here for my 23rd birthday for dinner. We live in Annandale, VA so about over 1hr & 35mins but it's always worth it. Apps: 1. Tater tots with crab dip, holy moly this was delicious! 10/10 **highly recommend!!** 2. Jalapeño & Cheddar Hushpuppies... it tasted so good and its not heavy! 10/10 3. Crab soup was good 10/10 The specialty cocktails were good! For the meal: Large & XL Crabs... hands down it never gets old to eat crabs! 10/10!!!! Service was good, we got a table fast. Our waitress was nice and cooperative with us. The space looks different because of different management. They said they had a soft opening for the restaurant so basically like a test run from when they first opened earlier this May. Sadly I'll miss the old place and also how homie and exciting with the type of environment it held for years but I can't wait to see what the new and improved plans for the Kentmorr restaurant has in store for the summer!

Yelp
Food quality since the company was taken over by the DC owners has diminished greatly. I'm not impressed.

Yelp
Great location. If they were to out compassion behind the food. I think they'd be a killer spot. Honestly didn't feel like they really had passion behind the food... Felt just kinda tossed together... Crabs were good.
