Great food here, expect NYC deli dining experience and you will not be disappointed. The food was very tasty and flavorful as expected, the standout from our order was the pastrami cheese steak. The pastrami cheese steak has red and green peppers, onions, Swiss and of course pastrami. The roll used was of high quality and it stated together which is important! Lastly, the pickle bar was included in all orders which was a great added touch! They also serve doctor browns here :)

King of Prussia has been missing a deli since Michaels' closed. There has been a yearly survey asking the same question - What does Upper Merion need. Every year, "Jewish Deli" came out #1. Good Friday, we got our wish when The Kibitz Room opened, and it's been well worth the wait. Have been there numerous times, never disappointed. Great food (pastrami, corned beef, latkes, MATZO BALLS - yeah, they are huge) and just about anything else you could ask for. Fan of pickles? Yup, there's a pickle bar there. We've done Dine In and take out. Wife always reminds me to get pickles when we take out. Expensive? Um, it's not cheap. You need to factor in that it's 2025, and the quality of food, and portions are huge. Most of the time there's like a $4 or maybe $5 price difference between a half, and a full sandwich. Easy decision, get the full sandwich, and take half home for another meal. Atmosphere is fine, just tends a bit too noisy for me, but, no more than any other deli. Almost forgot - the bakery is 12/10. Just look at the pics. Highly recommend. We've met friends there that have a different local deli, and the preferred The Kibitz Room.

OK, the food was absolutely wonderful. I’ve actually been going to this place since I was a child, but the one in Jersey.. However, upon entering the restaurant, I visited with my father and the stares from the customers were alarming. I’m not sure if they’re not used to seeing a black father and daughter or just Blacks dine here at all. We were the only blacks dining at the time. As far as atmosphere, the dishes at the pickle bar were quite dirty. The bathroom was not the cleanest and out of paper towel. We were also asked where we taking out as we were sitting at a table with menus. The actual food was good. The service was mediocre not really tentative. However, the food did come out pretty fast.

I just ordered for the first time via Door Dash. First of all, let me state how wonderful it is to have a Jewish style restaurant in the area. Very seldomly do I get to eat my own people's food without having to make it myself. Now let's get to it: I had the Liver Kinish and the Lox, White Fish Salad, Kippered Salmon sandwich. Omg was it good! It was ALL incredible. The liver was done perfectly; I'm a snob with this and they hit it out of the park. Brilliant flavor without that livery twang. Plus it was STUFFED well! Now the Sandwich; Wow! The sandwich was incredible. Everything was done so well and it was huge! Plenty of each type of fish on the sandwich. Very happy with my purchase!

I was super excited to learn that a Jewish deli was coming to KoP, especially one with a great reputation like Kibitz Room. Lemme tell you, it has not disappointed. I’ve been 3 times since it opened and been straight to pastrami nirvana each time. People might think the sandwiches are expensive but it’s easily enough food for 2 meals. There’s an unlimited pickle bar included with every visit (even takeout!) which is as lovely as it sounds. Particularly love the pickled cherry peppers. I got a pastrami egg and cheese sandwich today and it’s easily the best breakfast sandwich I’ve tried in/around KoP. I’ve only ordered pastrami every time I’ve gone and I don’t think that will change, it’s just too good to pass up. Wife has gotten a couple of the specialty fish sandwiches and has loved them. Highly recommend, well worth the trip!

Google
This place is great. An absolute gem. If you are in KOP, you must come. Great food, and they are creative with the pastrami. The pastrami cheesesteak is great. Yes, the price is kinda higher than I would like, but you get a lot of food for the price. You need to come here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Yes, it’s that good of a place. and a great opportunity to support a small business.

Google
I ordered on grubhub delivery, but definitely worth the money! This sandwich is huge and so delectable!! Fresh, well prepared, and so filling! Will for sure order from here again. Hit all my cravings in one sandwich!

Google
This area needed a Jewish deli/restaurant bad! So I was thrilled upon learning Kibitz Room would be opening in KOP! I've been in a bunch since their soft opening - but there was nothing soft about it! They hit the ground running and were rocking and rolling immediately! They are no amateurs when it comes to the deli game, running delis for many years. Sure, there were some kinks in the very beginning, but what new spot doesn't?? The food has been phenomenal and consistent every time! Everything I've tried hasn't been just good, it's been GREAT! Those kinks I mentioned earlier...I got a corned beef reuben by accident vs pastrami or a salami "pancake" omelette vs pastrami (gotta admit they sound alike, that one could've been my fault lol). Both occasions I kept the "mistake" and they gave me the correct order to-go (my barber was really happy, he said the pastrami omelette was amazing 😁). They do AMAZING catering for real! Brought that fish tray to my mom's for Mother's Day and they recently catered at my office for almost 100 people! Everyone raved about the food and beautiful presentation - really made me look like a hero! My favorite thing to date (and last thing I had) was the hot brisket platter with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies - O.M.G. 🤯 Oh, you'll notice some items seem a bit pricey, but there's a reason for that - QUALITY. They make everything in house, meats, salads, bakery items (try the cherry Hamantaschen!!). I've had pastrami at all the top places in Philly and surrounding area - KR is top notch and well worth it. Besides the awesome food, the owners are really great people that love making people happy and keeping them well-fed. The staff are all super friendly and also passionate about satisfying guests. Great culture. It's a very welcoming, comfortable, clean space that makes you feel like family. Oh, and the pickle bar is pretty sweet! 😏

Yelp
Glad to have a good Jewish deli in the area. Very nice corned beef special and the matzoh ball soup was excellent. Michael even brought my wallet to my house when I left it behind.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this Jewish deli for a while now. Finally got there and it was...eh. Pretty empty Friday lunch time and our service was lack luster. Took 10-15 for someone to get to our table. Food came out quickly, but the 2nd plate we asked for took another 10 min. Couldn't really split the whole sandwich on a napkin. What we snagged: -Corned beef special. Solid taste and very tender meant. Serve said it was a pound of meat. 100% not a pound. -Basket of fries. For 18$...kinda crazy. Good steak fries though that came out hot and fresh. Self serve pickle bar is nice. But both the sour and half sour were limp. Overall, 27$ for a full sandwich and 18$ fries is over priced. Good for a once in a blue moon meal.

Yelp
This large restaurant had only 3 tables filled but the service was good & server checked my food allergies. Pastrami we shared was more than enough & very tasty. Macaroni side dish was dull flavorless needs work. But the coleslaw was excellent interesting but short on portion size. The pickle bar was missing items. It could be that it was 2:15 when we arrived. Menu was hard to read. We shall return again

Yelp
(This review was from my most recent visit from Thursday May 15th and unfortunately was never submitted) Walking into The Kibbutz Room in King of Prussia PA, for the first time, not only brought back great memories of Michael's Deli but was an incredible sight to experience. The renovations are breathtaking and stunning! The staff is amazing and extremely talented! The food is a welcome to this former Jewish Deli deprived area! Parking is convenient and abundant! My meal consisted of their three glazed meat platter, a side of their homemade chips, a visit to their pickle bar, and an unsweetened ice tea. Although. there were some minor kinks that I experienced, both Russ and Brittany made good on everything! Will I be returning to the Kibbutz Room in King of Prussia? Absolutely as I was not only impressed but enjoyed my first experience there!!

Yelp
Breakfast on a Sunday morning and the restaurant was roughly 30% full. Three people for $75.00 would be okay if the quantity and quality is there. Cream Chipped Beef was terrible and I enjoy cream chipped beef. See photo. No choice of bread or side. The bread was not toasted. The coffee was not hot and the refill was slow. $3.95 The stuffed French toast was good tasting but the presentation was very sloppy. Shakshuka & Eggs came out 5 mins after the first two meals. The flavor was very good. The toast inconsistent and the one egg (remember that this place brags about quantity) was raw on the bottom. See photo. Service. The hostess was not happy. The waitress had a pleasant personality. The person that brought out the food in stages should have reminded the guest that the cast iron is hot. A number of things missed so I assume traning is lacking. Ambiance is subjective. It looks fine to me and that they worked with what they had. Reusing paper menus is a big miss for me. I was facing the front of the store. I noticed is that most people that entered the restaurant attempted to use the right door first and that door is locked. To the best of my knowledge it only opens when you exit. Most people in the United States are used to using the door to their right.

Yelp
I went to the Kibitz Room on the very first day they were open! This restaurant's opening has been the most anticipated thing in this town in a long long time! We had great food, great staff and a great atmosphere! I met up with some neighbors, ran into other neighbors while I was there...had a hometown feel. Parking: plenty of free parking in surrounding parking lots Dress: casual I ordered a whole corned beef sandwich (to split w/my lunch mate) and an order of french fries. The sandwich was huge and delicious. The fries were really good! They were a bit pricey, but they were good! Even after sharing the sandwich and the fries, we each had food to take home as leftovers. The catering manager came over and talked to us for a while. He was nice and we reminisced about the delis in the area over the years. The desserts all looked amazing but I didn't not try anything. We paid with a handheld credit card reader at the table. At that time I was asked if I wanted to join their points club/bday club which is through Toast. I was happy to earn some points and I will be able to get a few dollars off my next visit. Highly recommend and will be back soon! I have a friend who has been going every few days!

Yelp
Mammoth smoked turkey pastrami sandwich. Great service as well. Liking the new and improved Kibitz room.

B H.

Yelp
Would do 2.5 if I could. Rounded up as employees were nice. First problem is the prices. It is grossly overpriced. The restaurant was basically empty. Service was good. Home fries have onions which some people may like, but my husband does not. It did not mention them on the menu. The home fries were soggy and not that flavorful. He enjoyed his omelette. I ordered a pastrami sandwich with $2 up charge for not much coleslaw. The menu said it came with homemade potato chips. They were from a bag as confirmed by the waitress. $18 for half a sandwich is really too much. I thought maybe it would be so big, I would take half of it home as I hardly finish a sandwich, but that was not the case. Pickles were meh. Will not be likely to return.

Yelp
Finally tried The Kibitz Room for the first time and it didn't disappoint. Classic deli/diner with nice interior, huge potion and friendly service. At first I wasn't sure about the price--everything looks quite expensive, but when the food came, I felt the portion size justified the price. I couldn't even finish my half Reuben--btw, the Reuben tastes great (the corned beef is on point).

Yelp
So let me start off with saying that I was so excited for a Jewish Deli to open near me. Hymies is a good 45 minutes and Kibitz is like 15-20 minutes. However, before I headed over, I was shocked at the low reviews and prepared myself to be disappointed. Spoiler- I wasn't!! So the food is spectacular: we got the pastrami and corned beef with coleslaw, Russian dressing and Swiss on Rye- It was ginormous and so flavorful and beats Hymies on size and taste. We got as sides potato salad which my husband declared the best he has ever had (it's on the vinegar side so not my taste) and macaroni salad (this needed more flavor). We also got a cheeseburger that could easily feed two people and was well seasoned and perfectly cooked and onion rings that were out of this world. Some of the best I have ever had. The price is steep but it is huge portions and, it's really good. The service also needs a bit more training on the menu but it is huge. Overall, great addition and we will be back!

Yelp
Started as a 5-star when it opened in April and is now headed to 1 star. It was actually a substitute for a trip to Harold's!! It appears to be on a steep decline with obvious cost-cutting. The original 5-star was based on pastrami and corned beef being close to NY quality. Pickle bar had NY sours and half sours. At 1 PM on 11/5, the pickle bar was decimated, and the pickles remaining looked like the bulbous "kosher style" pickles you get out of barrels in a supermarket. The pastrami bore no resemblance in taste or texture to what was served in April. Looked like sliced ham and tasted like seasoning was forgotten. I hope that they can turn it around, but momentum is in the wrong direction.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this Jewish deli for a while, I'm from North Jersey and miss a real pastrami sandwich. This place does not serve one. It was the worst pastrami sandwich I have ever had. It was very cheap pastrami (ever buy cheap roast beef lunchmeat and it has that pressed look). The meat had no texture, like it was pressed together from paste. It was served at room temperature (so much for HOT pastrami). My wife's brisket was just okay, it was passable (also served at room temperature). We ate there at 11 am and they were out of beef gravy for her sandwich, the turkey gravy they brought just didn't do it. If a Jewish deli can't serve decent pastrami, it's not worth visiting.
google avatar

Julia B.

Yelp
Delicious, generous portions of high-quality food with quick and friendly service! We'll definitely be going back to try more of the menu. My partner had the BBQ brisket burger and loved it--just be warned, it's hefty (in the best way)!
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered a pick up matzoh ball soup for my daughter. The pickup time was 4:15, which was when we got it. The soup was barely lukewarm. I was worried that it wasn't kept at a food safe temperature. The person working there told us they dished it out at 4:00, so it only sat for 15 minutes, but for it to be that cold, it could not have been hot where they were keeping it. I was nervous to make my child sick, especially because of the chicken. We ended up throwing it away. It was $15.
google avatar

Phil S.

Yelp
Service and food quality have definitely declined since they opened. "Hot hand-sliced pastrami" was neither hot nor hand-sliced. One server for lunch. Rye bread was about an hour away from being stale. Very few drinks available.

Diana S.

Yelp
This was the worst food ever! What a disappointment. Food was skimpy and not fresh. I can write a list of everything that was bad but don't want to waste my time. The only positive part of this meal was my wonderful waiter John. There's no way this restaurant stay in business.

Yelp
I am in search of a real Jewish deli more than a 6 mile radius from the city. I was excited when I heard about TKR opening a place in KOP so after a month of its opening, we gave it a whirl. I'm a NYC kid transplanted to the Phila area there is a real dearth here in comparison so I try not to make comparisons to NYC or any local ones, but it's a challenge. So.....now that disclaimers are out of the way.... We ordered the pastrami, corned beef, and turkey sandwiches, all as specials, all as whole sandwiches. In addition, we ordered 1/2 lb of nova. All items were ordered to go. Each sandwich came with a choice of sides: potato chips, potato salad, macaroni salad or cole slaw . The pastrami was fattier than most (yes, it usually is somewhat fatty), the corned beef tender, and the turkey was also good. While they were all good, it wasn't exceptional and after driving 25 miles and spending $75 on three sandwiches (that could feed 3to 6 people) I wanted a bit more flavor. However, I asked for the nova sliced thin(it was) but it was very oily (leaking out of the paper) so it could have used a better wrapping but it was deeeelicious. That was worth the price tag and the drive. The "system" here was confusing. No one was at the stand at the one entrance. No one was at the register and a sign directing people to an accessible entrance seemed odd as I entered without a step. Maybe they are still figuring it out.

Richard M.

Yelp
Pricing in nuts- pickle bar, nice thought, but filthy and souer pickles tasted like soapy water? Wait staff couldn't be more causal, even if they came in in pajamas

David R.

Yelp
I strongly suggest saving your money and going elsewhere. The food is highly overpriced for what's actually served--it falls far below expectations in both quality and taste. The service is even worse; the wait staff seems disinterested and frequently ignores guests. I was really looking forward to this visit, but the combination of subpar food and terrible service has completely turned me off. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this place to anyone.
google avatar

Gene K.

Yelp
Meat 9 of 10. Service 9 of 10. Baked goods 0 of 10. The manager chose a Black and White cookie ($5) that was so tough I couldn't bite it. He chose Ruggalah (1.50 ea) which were the consistency of styrofoam. Sandwich rye was good, but very skimpy size. Price as high as in NY.

Donna G.

Yelp
2 thumbs down for The Kibitz Room. Saturday night early dinner. Worst Jewish deli in the area. Many menu items were unavailable. The service was just okay. The food at best was meh!! Save your $$ and head to your Favorite delis...just not here.
google avatar

William D.

Yelp
The service was slow The order was inaccurate The latkes were microwaved and cold in the center The huge sandwiches were good but a bit expensive (especially with all the mistakes and cut corners) Breakfast was also not a great value.
google avatar

Marissa M.

Yelp
The BEST pastrami ruben here!! I've had if three times now as well as their chicken salad. Definitely the new hot spot in town for deli!!
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
5 Stars - A True Deli Gem! I've now visited The Kibitz Room for both lunch and breakfast--and both times were fantastic! For lunch, I had the corned beef special, and let me just say... wow. The corned beef was tender, flavorful, and piled high just like a proper deli sandwich should be. For breakfast, I went with an omelette that was fluffy, satisfying, and so generously portioned I had to take half home. My niece ordered the blueberry pancakes and raved about them--big, golden, and packed with juicy blueberries throughout (not just sprinkled on top!). The atmosphere strikes a great balance--lively and bustling but still cozy with that classic Jewish deli charm. You feel like you're somewhere that takes tradition seriously, but still knows how to keep things fun. Definitely a new go-to spot. Looking forward to many more visits!

Jessica W.

Yelp
So happy The Kibbitz Room opened in KOP! I've loved their Cherry Hill spot for years, and the new location is just as great. If you're looking for a true family owned deli you have found it! The food as equally as great as the people!

M S.

Yelp
The food was great but the prices were expensive! 2 people had chicken fried steak with potatoes and one side of pancakes and it was over $80 for breakfast
google avatar

Ross M.

Yelp
Wow, what a disappointment! It's difficult to image what worse service would look like. Our server clearly couldn't care less about even the most basic aspects of customer service. The coffee was lukewarm and when I asked for a hotter cup he said they were trying, and then he brought me another cup of lukewarm coffee. The matzo ball soup was also lukewarm, and he brought me the wrong order for my Ruben at the same time as the soup. He wanted to argue with me that what he gave me was what I ordered; it wasn't. At check out he took our cards and then came back 5 minutes later to tell us we have to go to the counter to check out. Then we had to wait at least 5 minutes at the counter for someone to figure out how to run our cards. The ambiance was pretty horrible on top of everything else, but the grilled pastrami Ruben wasn't bad once he got it to me. This place has no love for what they are doing and clearly there is no adult in charge.

Art G.

Yelp
First, entrance was difficult to find. Coming from the parking lot across the street, you see a front window of tinted glass, no entrance. Next was another business, then the entrance. No sign above, or on the glass, pointing to the entrance. Next, sat down around 2:30, to a dirty table. Waitress said she would be right with us, and never came back. Table was finally cleaned around 2:45, AFTER they were cleaning all the other empty, dirty tables. Shouldn't they clean the table for waiting customers FIRST? Still waiting for utensils, and to order. Finally, around 2:55, someone came to take our order. Several drinks we tried to order were sold out. Was told "they were slammed that morning". Sorry, that's not a valid excuse for not cleaning a table while we waited. Finally ordered. Meats were fatty (especially the pastrami). Not what I would expect for a half sandwich costing $19. The restaurant was mostly empty (perhaps 6 tables in use). Service should have been better.

M V.

Yelp
We've been to the Kibbitz Room a number of times and at various times of the day and at various days of the week. The pastrami and corned beef are excellent--as good as the best in New York City--but the service is atrocious. This is not the servers fault; there appears to be minimal management and/or personnel around. If this business is to survive they need to hire more staff, not the least of which to seat customers AND to answer the damn phone!

David L.

Yelp
Went to the Kibitz Room (KOP) with my family, arriving at 1PM on a Sunday. This was our second visit to this place. The first thing that our server told us was they were out of pastrami. How is it possible that a Jewish style deli is out of pastrami that early in the day?

Danielle A.

Yelp
Long time KOP resident And let me just say I could not be MORE excited about this place. Great location and all the food I love (and we don't really have a good deli in town). This summer, I stopped in for my absolute fav (matzo ball soup) and they were close to closing... so they couldn't open the kitchen (no one was there)... ok, I get it. Dropped in a few weeks ago for the same reason, they were OUT of the soup. Umm... ok. No prob. Stopped in this week for the same reason. This time to get the soup and a half sandwich for dinner. Take out. Just me. Total bill $46.00!!!! For soup and a half sandwich. I'm not one to complain but that's not reasonable. But, alas, with soup and sandwich in hand.. I went off... excited about dinner. Nope! The soup- bland, under-seasoned and certainly not worth the cost. Also the turkey was dry and I literally had a 1/2 slice of cheese on the bread I would not go back. Looks cute inside. People were nice enough.

S H.

Yelp
Tastes just like my mother's traditional cooking, but don't tell her. The matzo balls are HUGE, the biggest ones we've ever had. The owner Michael has really put his heart and soul into the restaurant. The menu has everything you could want. Everything we ate was terrific! Highly recommend!

Tami F.

Yelp
Should be better than what it is. Sandwiches are big but atmosphere lacks the deli vibe.

Jim A.

Yelp
We stopped in for our first visit. We waited about 20 minutes. They had one server who was definitely overwhelmed . After ordering, my wife was told twice that the choices that she ordered were out of stock. Of course, we had to wait a few minutes each time for them to come back to let her know. After close to an hour after we sat down we finally received our food which was underwhelming. The pastrami had a rubbery texture to it like it had been microwaved or something. Worst pastrami sandwich I ever had. About an hour and a half after we walked in the door we departed vowing never to come back again.

Chantal G.

Yelp
Are these guys kidding with the prices? 26 bucks plus tax for an à la cart corned beef sandwich? $10 for a hot dog? $10 for a knish? $11 for fries? Crazy. Yeah, I know they're bigger than your average sandwich, but so what? don't tell me I can bring home leftovers, or that i can split the sandwiches. I have no interest in eating or paying for a day old dried out corn beef sandwich as a leftover, and a couple of guys going out for lunch are not going to split a sandwich with each other anyway. Just give me a regular size sandwich with a (relatively) regular price. There is nothing on the menu that is not outrageously overpriced. This is definitely a good New York deli, but it also comes with the overly inflated New York price. New York transplants around here might pay for it, but I don't know how many locals will. Not enough to sustain this place anyway. The deli and bakery for takeout are also ridiculously over priced. 44 bucks a pound for lox? $23 a pound whitefish salad? Get real. I hope this place lasts, but I'm not too confident that it will at this price point and value.

Kandi D.

Yelp
Following your posted hours and not closing early! Not even a sign on your door. Unprofessional

G. S.

Yelp
Great food and wonderful service We went to the Kibitz Room for lunch today. A friend and I split a corned beef Reuben. It was FANTASTIC! Some of the best corned beef I've ever had. It was melt in your mouth tender. There was no problem with us sharing a sandwich. If you order half a sandwich, there is 1/2 lb. of meat on it. The whole sandwich has 3/4 lb. on it which is more than enough. The only thing they could have done better was be more generous with the coleslaw (we substituted it for the sauerkraut) and Russian dressing. I bought two knishes to go which I haven't tried yet. I also bought a Napoleon. I sliced a small piece off and it was heavenly. It is big enough that it will last a few days. All staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. I will definitely be going back.

debbie k.

Yelp
i ordered from here on GrubHub today. The delivery time was delayed but not a big problem. I ordered the kugel which was really good and large. that was a deal around $10. Also ordered the corned beef reuben which was enormous. While it was expensive, to me it was worth it. It was like the kind of sandwich you would get at a top Jewish deli in NY. Real corned beef and just delicious. Ordered side of coleslaw with that and that was good too. We also ordered the bagel with cream cheese and lox spread. Bagel was huge and the cream cheese spread was really good. We really liked every single thing we tasted and will definitely stop in and check out the restaurant in person. probably next week when i take my cat to petsmart which is right across the street.

Yelp
We went in on one of the first soft opening days. Seems the staff is getting the knots worked out Everyone is super friendly and ready to help. Pierre who's behind the counter was super attentive and willing to listen to some constructive criticism. A lot of the staff have restaurant experience But not with Jewish style foods. That will come with time. How do you explain what a kreplach should look and taste like? The pastrami Reuben on rye was to die for. And if you have a heart condition you just might. It was fattier than I'd like. They have a pickle bar just like at Harold's in NJ. It would be easier to distinguish the mustard's if they had labels. There were 7 different varieties on the tables. Now let's talk soup----- oy! Mushroom barley color consistency good But someone was heavy on the salt. Matzo ball. Sigh not enough salt and not enough flavor Kreplach- this soup filled with chicken pieces vegetables etc was good. BUT the Kreplach was something from outer space. I thought it was a doughnut. They really tried to have a go at it but they might want to have a yiddisha mama come in and give them a demonstration. I'm hoping to go back with a group of friends and do more taste tests. Be aware that the prices and closer to Harold's and not much higher from Hymies. But then again I don't get out much so pricing is getting higher every where Pierre? Please take a look at the hamentashen. The prune I asked for turned out to be blueberry. Personally I'd pass on the hamentashen, but my friend gave it a to die for rating. Go figure. Everyone's a critic

Yelp
The food was just okay--not bad, but nothing memorable either. Definitely not worth the price they charge. Portions were small, and I left feeling like I overpaid for something. If you're going to charge premium prices, the quality and experience should match. Unfortunately, it didn't.

Yelp
This was the 2nd time we have eaten at kibitz room. Both times our orders were wrong. Yesterday my order was so off I sent it back. My husband asked for white toast .. didn't get it. When the receipt came the waitress had written the wrong orders. Is there a children's menu ? Who knows again it was never offered. It's seat yourself which is fine but we had a toddler no high chairs in sight nor one was offered. I got a half a cup of Luke warm coffee no refills.. we asked for chocolate milk and were told they couldn't find the chocolate. Also we didn't get silver wear or extra napkins until halfway through our meal. One we got our correct orders the food is good but everything else you have to deal with makes it not worth it.

Yelp
Save your money! Overpriced and pretty mid. I'd recommend driving a little further depending where you're coming from and go to Pumpernicks in Montgomeryville. Should have taken the empty dining room as a hint!

Yelp
I came for a late lunch and got a half corned beaf Ruben and rugalech. The Rueben was fantastic - huge pile of lean corned beaf, sauerkraut, etc. the pickle bar was great - multiple varieties of tasty pickles. Will definitely come back when I am in town.

Yelp
My friend had "scrambled eggs." They arrived half filling a plate, however looking like unappetizing crumbly cheese. Served cold. Came with a side of fruit which was delicious and fresh. I ordered a Cobb salad. Served in a wooden bowl that looks like it should've been thrown away 30 years ago, lettuce, looked old, very dark, green Romain and on appetizing with brown spots, chopped tomatoes, and all different sizes hidden under the lettuce, hard-boiled egg, sliced, and ice cold bacon that must've been sitting out at least 24 hours. Dressing was tasty - balsamic vinaigrette on the side. For the expensive prices, you play at a deli, I think that was unacceptable. However! A wonderful benefit to our visit was our server,Cayleigh- she was attentive, delightful and knew her stuff.

Yelp
Like many people, I'd been anxiously awaiting the Kibitz Room in Michael's Deli's old space. Had really missed being able to go pick up food for the week -- and hated the long drive and parking issue at Hymie's. I understand that they are new, and I hope that they are able to make needed improvements. First -- the good news -- the staff is spectacular: friendly, efficient, ready-to-please. They're a great asset. Also good (based on my experience and a few of my friends) - the meats are good, and that's really important for a deli. The matzoh ball soup -- the soup itself is flavorful, and (thankfully) not too salty. The matzoh balls? It depends if you were raised on floaters or sinkers. My friends who tried this are in the former category, but I was brought up on sinkers, so I appreciated the soup. And then - the disasters. In my house we like "special" sandwiches, so we were interested in the cole slaw. It's really bad. Cabbage and carrots in a little bit of vinegar. Hopefully, they'll add mayonnaise and celery seed to the dressing recipe. Likewise, the macaroni salad. Not only was it just large shells (really?, not elbows?) with some carrots - but there was virtually no dressing on it. Where's the mayo, chopped onions and peppers? But the absolute worst was the linzer torte cookie. The cookie was an absolute ROCK. It couldn't be bitten into, and a knife just cracked it into pieces. I assume that nothing is baked on site, and so I hope Kibitz Room will find a different supplier who makes baked goods that you can actually eat. And so -- I wish them luck! I hope they'll improve. It's back to the long drive to Hymie's and we'll try them again in 6 months or so.

Yelp
It's all about the meat here. Got the corned beef special. Wow that was the best corned beef ever. I cant wait 'til my next meal here. I'm counting the days cuz I'm going all in for hot pastrami with mustard. Oh ya..... it will be hard passing on the corned beef but you just have to make some sacrifices in life right?

Yelp
Had to give it a try and I was not disappointed. Food was great, I had the corned beef special, asked for it lean and it was great. Spoke to the manager who was very nice. Everything made on site. Definitely will be back. The desserts looked fantastic!

Yelp
This was my second time visiting this deli. I went the first week it opened and the service was awful, but the food was very good. The corned beef was served warm and was very good. With any new restaurant I figured they needed to work out the kinks. I went back yesterday and ordered a corn beef special. It was dry and did not taste good at all. My daughter ordered a grill cheese and was served cold. I used the restroom and it was filthy dirty. Trash on the floor, dirty unflushed toilets. Probably the filthiest bathroom I have ever been in. There were plenty of staff standing around and the restaurant was empty while we were there. You'd think they would have the staff service the restrooms. I won't be back.
