The Kickin' Crab of Costa Mesa

Not too busy of a restaurant. They were out of lobster the tonight. They charge extra if you want more than one side of butter for dipping crab or for potatoes. Service was good. The king crab legs were very good. They have all beers for $3 during happy hour. #LOCALGUIDES

Next time you're craving seafood stop in to The Kickin Crab in Costa Mesa. The seafood alfredo is so yummy. We also had their super tasty shrimp tacos and the delicious crawfish in a bag. Be sure to check this place out. 🦀

I have been to the westminster Santa ana and Irvine location and the Costa Mesa one is by far the best! The sauce is tastier with more chunks of garlic. The service was excellent! The server even packed my shrimp to go. I didn't think location matters but apparently it does because I taste the difference. Not sure if its because of the season but the crawfish are bigger and fresh. They have happy hour beer for $3 until 7pm. 2lb shrimp special! Nom!

The shrimp are very fresh every time I've been. The Gumbo was too watery, the shrimp used in it were over cooked, taste more like a watered vegetable soup with a touch of Cajun spice instead of a seasoned flavor spice. The drinks during happy hour are cheap (most are beers). The customer service is the best ever. Great job! They will try and accommodate you if something is wrong with your order.

First time there , the person helping us was helpful. Had king crab legs ,shrimp and clams. The sauce was very good but the clams were on the small side. Almost 100.00 for the meal , might try it again but maybe double shrimp.....btw the shrimp still has the heads on them so a bit of a turn off but yummy

Garlic noodles, shrimp, mussels, and shrimp and fries. Great place, great service, and great food.
