Kilpeck Inn

"A popular pub which narrowly escaped being turned into private housing thanks to the villagers’ valiantly fought ‘Save Our Pub’ campaign. Its spacious interior and bedrooms are smart, modern and characterful, with impressive green credentials. Menus offer locally sourced meats and old fashioned puddings." - Michelin Inspector

I only ate and drank here. The service was ridiculously good. Best I’ve had for a very long time. Excellent selection of drinks. Gorgeous premises that was perfectly presented. Food lived up to Michelin Guide expectations despite service having finished. Wonderful. Would give a perfect 10 if I could.

We had a lovely stay, rooms were clean and well equipped and the staff were friendly, service was great. Breakfast was lovely (no veggie options) My only very small quibble was we arrived a bit early hoping to have a drink before check in but the pub was closed until 5:30pm - completely understandable, but check in was from 5pm so we assumed the pub would be open 😊 would definitely stay again!

Great B&B. Great little boozer with top notch local beverages. The cider was superb. Great location to enjoy the history of St Mary and St David Church. Quiet and relaxing. Food was top notch and worth every penny. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. The room was very clean and well presented. If your after a peaceful break with Great food and drink and some great history get your sens to the Kilpeck Inn. Well done guys. Oh and don't forget to have a look at the castle and pat ollie while enjoying a cider on his very comfy sofa. He's a very accommodating dog.

Our visit to Kilpeck Inn for a family member's birthday left us with mixed feelings. The pub itself boasts a charming ambiance, but unfortunately falls short in catering to vegans. Regrettably, the options for plant-based dishes were limited and the quality of the dish we ordered, the resittoo, was underwhelming. However, it's worth noting that those who opted for meat dishes seemed to thoroughly enjoy their meals. If you're not a vegan and are looking for a cozy pub atmosphere, Kilpeck Inn might still be worth considering, but vegans may want to explore other dining options

Came here for a Sunday roast after a walk and it was fantastic! Had the parfait and beef, finished off with the sticky toffee pudding. It was all delicious and left us happily stuffed! Everyone there was very friendly and I very much enjoyed the Butty Bach on tap.

Booked in for an overnight stay for a bit of peace and quiet and was not disappointed! We wanted to have lunch but pub closed at 3 and we couldn't have room until 5. However, a swift phone call to the lovely Amy to explain the situation and the problem was solved 😁. Good selection of spirits and draught. I recommend the local cider! Had a lovely lunch of sausage and red onion marmalade sandwich for me and himself had the roast beef. Good size and reasonably priced. Popped up to the room when pub closed for a shower and was more than pleased - good size, very clean, plenty of hangers, coffee/tea facilities and pretty much anything else you needed. Evening meal was the soufflé followed by duck for me and he had pickled quail eggs and 10oz sirloin. I thought everything was well cooked and well presented. Tasted wonderful! It was so peaceful and had good quality curtains so actually had a lie on! Had a really good night's sleep made better by the delicious breakfast! Only downside is the breakfast room is a bit...cozy. Really could have done with a bit of soft music in the background so the sound of people munching their cereal was not quite so loud (but then I do struggle being around noisy eaters so maybe more of a me problem). All in all, very enjoyable, I would love to come back for another stay. Highly recommend 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Had a new year's eve meal here with the wife and kids, absolutely amazing, honestly couldn't fault the food or service. Steak was to die for and the peppercorn sauce was just next level. Could not recommend enough. Olly the dog was lovely too (hope you enjoyed some steak) 🤫

We came here for the amazing food. And it was great. Heathy and scrumptious with a British touch. Of course, you can have your fish and chips, but you can also choose their cod and bean purée dish. They are very aware of allergies and cater to gluten free and lactose intolerant visitors. Their gluten free bread was nice. The atmosphere was vibrant. The pub was filled by locals eating around tables and drinking at the bar.
