4 Restaurants to Try This Weekend in Los Angeles: August 1 | Eater LA

"As much as I envy those who can luxuriate over a mid-day chopped salad and glass of wine, lunch, for the most part, is a meal of utility for me. If my refrigerator is running low on leftovers, I’m often looking for something easy and affordable (and can be eaten at my desk). One of my go-to options is gimbap (also spelled as kimbap), preferably with tuna. I’ve picked up rolls from all across LA, but one of my recent favorites is from the Kimbap in Koreatown. For less than $15, the Kimbap gives you two hearty rolls that can barely be contained by the takeout container. Other filling options include Spam, beef, spicy pork, kimchi, and more." - Eater Staff

Google
love this spot! admittedly i only found out about them from watching an action bronson youtube video filmed in ktown a few years back. jaja. lucky for me though, it’s on my route for my morning walk. so i’ll be back. the rolls were super fresh!! they advise you to eat them within 3 hours. i love the cream cheese and anchovies. such a great crunch! if you like dried fish then you’ll like that roll. the tuna wasn’t bad, but it had a bit too much tuna/mayo for me. i’m looking forward to trying the spam and some of the other dishes on the menu. as the caption in their google title suggests, one draw back is that you can’t eat there. they do however have chairs to sit while you wait for your order. the staff we’re cordial. some rolls have different size options which is nice when overwhelmed by so many great choices and don’t want to fully commit to one. disclaimer these rolls might look a bit disheveled as I walked maybe a half hour with them swinging in a bag. 🙃

Google
This kimbap was so good and great proportions! I would’ve been good with only one roll but I wanted to try different kinds. I got the kimchi and the sausage ones. I went in close to their open time so they already had rolls made and ready to give out which was convenient if you wanna be in and out. :)

Google
Fresh made to order kimbap and awesome seaweed soup. I've been coming here for years and my favs are the avocado roll and the shrimp mayo. They also have rice bowls which are decent. Street parking can be hard but there is a cheap valet lot and I think it can be free if you're just getting takeout. Service is always nice.

Laine

Google
A large order of kimbap is a generous amount of about 22 pieces! You definitely get a bang for your buck here even with inflation and all. This place is located within Omni Plaza and only does to-go orders. Fast and efficient service! Recommend the Fish Cake and Sesame Leaf Kimbap.

Google
Great spot for affordable delicious food. A must for an easy lunch when we're in the neighborhood.

Google
FOOD POISIONING- do not eat at this establishment. There are other similar reviews from around 5-11 months from today that have similar experiences which I completely missed. Ordered a beef kimbap here today at around 2PM and this was my only meal of the day. Only a few hours later I started having massive stomach issues (vomiting and non-stop diarrhea) for hours. I would be extremely cautious to ever eat here if you are considering. It seems like the owners don’t take responsibility for their lack of cleanliness. I have never written a review in my life but thought this was necessary so someone else doesn’t have to go through what I did.

Google
A wide variety of kimbap, but the parking is weird. They wanted us to pay to valet when we were just picking something up. I refused and it was okay, but it took some arguing. Prices are reasonable, but the tuna kimbap is like tuna sandwich Kimbap and I wouldn't order it again. There is no seating here, only to go orders.

Google
I got the Mayo Shrimp first time I came here back in June and l loved it. It was very tasty and everything felt fresh. I went back about a week ago and the taste was the same as last time. Checking out is very easy and the lady that works there packs everything nicely. I wish the restaurant wasn’t only for takeout. I love this place not matter what!

Yelp
Easy, in and out service. I walked here to get some Kimbap for dinner to-go. For two people, I got four kimbap singles: - Spicy Squid - Sausage - Beef - Kimchi They all pretty much tasted similar with just the protein swapped out. HOWEVER, the spicy squid is indeed very spicy! They do warn you on the menu. I'd say it's notably spicier than sriracha. The spiciness comes from the jalapeños AND the squid itself. My favorites were the beef (classic. Can't go wrong) and the kimchi (liked the tanginess of it). If you like sausage, you may like the sausage kimbap but it wasn't that noteworthy to me. The spicy squid was a bit too spicy for me. Four single rolls were too much for two people for dinner. Next time I'd only get 3 single rolls, maximum. Super affordable meal. Staff was very sweet and packaged the items carefully. I will be back!

Yelp
Ordered from doordash. Based on the app the food was prepared right away. All this food was $22 before tax and tip, which is honestly not bad at all for the portion and quality. I ordered the mixed twigim with squid and rice noodle rolls. They were still crispy when they arrived and came with two sauces and two pickled side dishes. One roll of kimbab is about $6-8 bucks. They have more complicated rolls for closer to $11 but either way its such great value. Recommending this to the office and will order from them again.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years and years, when they still had dine-in. Understandably now, they are to-go only. But Amy has stayed the same kind owner I've known since coming here before. I'm sad I haven't written a review for here, until now. The kimbap has stayed the same quality ever since I tried it the first time. So good, and very affordable. Thank you Amy for your exceptional service, and providing great food at a great price. *Parking valet guys are super chill and if you tell them you're here to pick-up, no need to valet your car! ***The reason I want to give a shout out now, is because I called for a pick-up order and upon checking my bag - realized I received a wrong order than what I had placed. I called and Amy was extremely apologetic, and was receptive to me coming back to retrieve the right order. When I came back with the wrong order in hand, she insisted I keep it and handed me the right order. Thank you!

Yelp
Been a while but finally got to try first hand and did not disappoint!! Great many kimbop options to choose from but luv luv luv both the traditional beef and spicy bulgogi!! Don't sleep on the mayo shrimp either!! Chewy spicy noodles was a pleasant surprise with a side of odeng soup!! Spicy teuk boki was delicious too!! Definitely recommend but keep in mind to go only dining area seems to be closed?

Yelp
*** Take-out only *** The Kimbap is a small grab-and-go shop in Koreatown and the shop only specializes one item - kimbap (aka Korean seaweed rice rolls). [Parking]: While the parking lot has a valet parking sign, visitors can tell the valet person that you are here for the Kimbap and you will get free 10-minute parking. [Options]: They have 15 different kimbap options with 3 super spicy options (spicy chicken, spicy pork, and spicy squid). Single portion = 10 pieces and double portion = 20 pieces. Special kimbaps with dotted box on the menu have one set portion with 12 pieces. The shop recommends kimbap should be eaten within 3 hours after purchase. Some of popular items include Super Spicy Pork Kimbap, Bacon Kimchi Fried Rice, Tuna Kimbap, Mayo Shrimp Kimbap, Super Spicy Squid Kimbap, and Beef Kimbap. They also sell other miscellaneous items like rice cakes, fish cakes, dumplings, fried dishes, rice dishes, soups, and noodles. *** Super Spicy Pork Kimbap (12 pieces - $10): They were not lying about being super spicy - it was DEFINITELY spicy. I was able to tolerate the spicy level, but it was slightly spicier than Sriracha sauce. Oddly enough this kimbap tasted more like a wrap rather than traditional kimbap. (4/5) Tuna Kimbap (10 pieces - $6): I love this kimbap - I could tell these kimbaps were freshly prepared and they were some of best kimbaps I have had. (5/5) *** Overall I like tuna kimbap over super spicy pork kimbap. There's no question this shop sells one of the best kimbaps in SoCal. 4.5-star on kimbap and bump up on easy parking and fast grab-and-go ordering process.

Yelp
this was so authentic i could sense it from outside the door. VERY cute packaging and very sweet ownerssss. as i write this review, I am taking my first bite: my answer is YUMMY!! very flavorfull very good quality. loved it! also very fast and accessible parking

Yelp
One of my favorite little eateries for quick, nutritious, and delicious food. They offer 4 kinds of vegetarian kimbap: avocado, mushroom, kimchi, and perilla leaves. We got all four single rolls for about $26 so it's a great deal. It comes with a special soy sauce that tastes amazing. If we had to choose, the avocado kimbap is our favorite. This is a takeout spot but service is fast. If it's the weekend and parking is difficult to find, you can call ahead to place an order.

Yelp
Best $5 lunch you can find just about anywhere! Service is always incredibly quick, and the employees are all passionate about the product.

Yelp
5/5: the spam kimbap is literally so good, I can eat it everyday if I can. Their spams and eggs are made so perfectly that kimbap melts in your mouth. 5/5 everything here. I highly recommend here! Ambiance: it's only for togo orders!

Yelp
Probably the best kimbap shop in all of Ktown- I'm surprised it took me this long to finally come try it. I was in the area so decided to stop by and I was happy I did! I found free street parking nearby and walked over. It was completely empty on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the kimchi kimbap and the beef kimbap - both the small size. It was very good - not too heavy on the rice. The kimchi one felt very fresh but I wish they used a homemade kimchi. Their kimchi tastes like the store bought ones. The beef one was flavorful but the beef was so overcooked it was almost powdery. I love that you can get the smaller size so you can try more flavorful. There's pretty much no wait time. I ordered and got my items within 10 seconds. The aunties working here are very nice. I'll definitely be back to try more of their flavors!

Yelp
I got **FOOD POISONING** after eating here. A few hours after eating the beef kimbap, I started throwing up repeatedly--over 15 times--and eventually had to go to the ER. The ER confirmed it was a virus caused by contaminated food or poor handling practices, and this was the only food I ate all day (i got this for lunch, and i already felt ill by dinner) I have all the reports from the ER to back this up. When I called the shop to report this, they were dismissive and almost hung up before even offering a solution. Their attitude made me feel like they genuinely didn't care about customers getting sick from their food. When I mentioned reporting the incident, they told me to just email their insurance. Does this happen often? Do they really have an entire process in place for food poisoning complaints? This made me seriously question their practices and how often this happens. Be careful eating here--your health might depend on it.

Yelp
Simple yet delicious!!! The rice had a really nice texture (held together but not mushy), veg and pickled were crunchy and sesame flavor was very fragrant. The only thing I will say is that the spicy octopus was SO spicy like next morning flaming booty hole hot IG: Spillingthe.beans

Yelp
Anytime I'm in Koreatown (which is often) and I need something quick to eat (again, which is often) The Kimbap is my go-to. It's a quick-service take-out only spot, and it's always very fast even though I always order in-person. I always end up ordering a Spicy Chicken or Spicy something and it is SPICY- I don't have an extremely high spice tolerance, but it's not low either- definitely can tolerate spice more that the average person. But holy cow their spicy is SPICY. I always end up hyperventilating a few pieces in, but also can't stop eating because it's so good. They have a valet lot, but if I tell the parking attendant that I'm there to quickly pick up from The Kimbap he always points to an empty spot and lets me park on my own. Highly recommend for an easy yet delicious and filling lunch.. and SPICY.. don't say I didn't warn you!
google avatar

Yelp
Food is very good. Been coming here since pre covid times. I love to order ahead by phone and I usually get my food done by the time I get there. There is parking but it's valet. If you are only picking up, let them know and they will let you park there for a while to get your food. I wished they opened the restaurant like before with the indoor seating but I understand to keep the cost of the food down, they kept it a to go moto.

Yelp
These kimbaps are really good! Great ratio of filling to rice, delicious ingredients, good price for what you get, fast and friendly service. We ordered several rolls to bring back home to the family. Beef, spicy pork, spicy chicken, squid. My favorite was the beef, which wasn't spicy at all. I think the hit at the house was spicy pork and squid though. Everyone seemed to love them most. Least favorite was the spicy chicken which was overpoweringly spicy. Leftovers held over well the next day, and my sister even took some to work for lunch the next day. I'd come here all the time for an easy portable to go on the run if it were nearby.

Daphnie M.

Yelp
i love this place. Wish they would bring back their indoor dining, other than that very nice service. food fresh everytime.
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
order: beef kimbap was pretty cheap $5 for a small box so def worth. it's a good small meal that hits the spot when you got places to be. they have lots of options too like spicy squid and pork!! the beef roll was pretty good, very flavorful, and i loved the crunch of the pickled radish!! all the kimbap came with an extra side of pickled radish too so yayyy yummy rating: 8.5/10
google avatar

Marko C.

Yelp
Super fast service. Take out only. Friendly service. I got the beef kimbap the meat tasted a little under seasoned (not seasoned at all) but maybe that is how it is supposed to be? Enjoyed it nonetheless.
google avatar

Fanny S.

Yelp
really love their tuna! The spicy pork is a bit too hot for me, and I'm not a fan of the ground beef. The prices are affordable, and the food has an authentic Korean taste. The only downside is that the restaurant is tucked away in an alley, so it's a bit hard to find.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Love the selection and authenticity of flavors that you can order - I ordered 3 for my first visit (Kimchi, Spam, and Sausage). They were well packaged to be enjoyed on the go or at home. You cannot stay and eat there as they are takeout only. The food comes out fast and the service is friendly. I definitely want to try the other dishes too, it all looks so promising! Parking can be tricky in the area, but you can certainly get lucky with street parking and a short walk over. The closest lot is valet only, so you've been warned!

Yelp
I came with my friend to The Kimbap on a Friday night. We were able to find parking nearby, but the adjacent parking lot is super small and fills up quickly. The restaurant itself was empty since they're only doing to-go orders--we got our order about 10 minutes after placing it. We ordered the Spicy Pork Kimbap and Spicy Rice Cake. The kimbap was nicely flavored and adequately spicy. Each ingredient tasted fresh and well prepared. However, each piece fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The roll came with 10 pieces, and the pieces were on the larger side. Overall, it was solid kimbap, especially for the price. The tteokbokki was very average; it had good flavor but was kind of expensive for what you get. It only had rice cake and fish cake, and there was way too much sauce for the amount of food provided. I would really just stick with their kimbap. The cashier was friendly, and the price point for the kimbap was good. I'd stop by again when I'm looking for something quick and affordable!
google avatar

Denise S.

Yelp
My go-to for japchae and mayo shrimp kimbap. Always a good time, always quick + fresh. If you're sensitive to spice, the spicy is SPICY here so be prepared. I have a fairly high spice tolerance and I can barely get through the spicy pork or squid (though both are absolutely amazing). 100000/10
google avatar

Leonard A.

Yelp
Kimbap will knock your socks off with lots of flavors that rock! They walk the walk and talk the talk when it comes to being the tastiest of the block. It's kinda like a Pringle, once you pop you can't stop! I ordered two of my favorites on the go because unfortunately they only have take out and no inside dining allowed to enjoy the circular morsels. First up their avocado that came with picked radish, fish cake, carrots and egg. Who knew such a small morsel could pack up a delicious punch! The next set was their mushroom and this came with pretty much the same thing but some pieces seem to have more mushrooms than the others or maybe I'm just a mushroom hog! LoL! Besides kimbap they offer other items but I was just here for that. Service was good but the parking can be a pain since it's in such a small plaza. Other than that it's a tasty stop shop. That's my take, Peace out.
google avatar

Yelp
As a student, I love this place due to the prices and the portions. Definitely would come back for a snack and I love how you can get half orders and try different things. It is super close to Gol Tong Chicken and found this place while we were trying to find parking. The beef kimbap is great for the portion of everything and not too much rice either. Honesty don't know how it is so cheap but definitely great cheap eat and they note how the beef is dry since they squeeze the fat out of it but I didn't find it dry. Definitely a great small business to support.
google avatar

Juliana T.

Yelp
This is my favorite Kimbap spot. I've traveled 350+ miles just for my kimbap fix here several times now. I kid, I kid! Well, I sort of kid. I really do travel that far but it's because I'm passing through town and often I stop here for my road trip snack (and then some). I've tried a variety of Kimbap's here. At the moment, my favorite is the tuna. I've also really enjoyed the mushroom one. I did try the spicy chicken but whooooWhEeEe, it is not for the faint hearted. I can hold a decent level of spiciest but this one was probably my max. Felt SO good! Haha! What I love about their Kimbap is that they lead with the filling and use the rice as a thin barrier between the seaweed wrapping and the rainbow core of the Kimbap! Masterpiece. Can't wait to go get me some more...!
google avatar

Cindy S.

Yelp
The Kimbap is located in the Omni plaza which is the next plaza over from California Market on Western Ave. It's easy to drive by and completely miss the restaurant! Parking in the area is horrible;however, there is valet parking for not that much money. I'd rather pay valet then circle the neighborhood looking for parking, but if you let the valet guy know that your getting "takeout", he will let you briefly park at no charge (free). The kimbap rolls here are good. I got the beef, spicy pork, spam n cheese, and tuna. Tuna was my least favorite; the rest were good. The pork kimbap was pretty spicy. They recommended that the kimbap rolls be eaten within 3 hrs of purchase. Currently it's takeout only. They accept take credit cards and cash.
google avatar

Kay Y.

Yelp
Amazing amazing amazing! Fast service and such delicious kimbaps! I LOVE how they pack in the filling and not just fill it with rice I'm so glad my friends recommended this spot. I love kimbap but I hate when it's filled with rice. This place rolls it how it's supposed to be! I got Perilla leaf, fish cake, spicy squid, and sautéed mushrooms! They were all so delicious. 10/10 stars!
google avatar

Elisa K.

Yelp
It was so good we visited every morning we were in LA! We loved the spicy pork kimbab and tuna mayo kimbo!! The spicy ones are REALLY spicy so be prepared but if you love spice I highly recommend. As a Korean native, it's hard to find good kimbab as they usually skimp on the fillings or the rice is not cooked well. But here it was so delicious and for a good price too!!! Must visit again!

Yelp
3.5. Went here today and remembered why I haven't been back. Decided to retry this place since went to Anko next door, and they share a parking lot. It's not that it's bad, it's just there are better kimbap places. Friendly service, and they speak English, but I'd rather go to the place with the rude ahjummas inside California Market. The carrots in my sesame leaf roll were uncooked and unseasoned. Made me not want to eat anymore if anyone with TMJ can understand. Yeah, I've tried the ones with meat and the mayo fried shrimp but not my jam. To go only but used to have seating. Ruins the ambiance since now just have bags of rice sitting around and tables and chairs they don't use. Also have a restroom if you ask for key
google avatar

Mara K.

Yelp
Quick service. Kimbap made fresh. There's a variety of Kimbap options. First time here, I had bookmarked this place to try whenever I get the chance to go back to LA. Met all of my expectations! There are actually other food on the menu that I'd love to try like their noodle dishes and such. Only downside is that there is no dine in; take out only. the place is spacious and inviting but apparently there aren't enough staff and elderly workers. (There's a sticky note that lets people know that when they pay for their meal). Still, I loved it there; feels like I'm in a kdrama ordering my snack Other than that I would definitely recommend and go back! They are super friendly and the prices are affordable for LA! 1 serving is plenty but double is so worth it
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
No dining in available. street parking only. Mushroom kimbap was my favorite. We also got the avocado kimbap and the sesame leaf kimbap. Both were good. The beef kimbap was disappointing. Unflavored ground beef. Wouldn't recommend. I expected the most from the beef since it was the only meat item. The rest were good though. There was multiple signs that said free soda if you post a picture of instagram. I did that and the lady says that's for dine in only. Well, there's no dining in, so was disappointed with the signs that got my hopes up. I'd go back for the mushroom kimbap, but that's it. I'd rather try another place before I come back here.
google avatar

Kris H.

Yelp
My go-to kimbap shop whenever I stop by ktown. From where I live, it's a bit harder to find good kimbap around. Service is always good and fast! I always get the tuna and mushroom kimbap. They have a variety of kimbap fillings to choose from. They also offer different Korean street food snacks/meals! They used to do indoor seating, but because of COVID, it remained as a to-go/take-out spot. It could get busy at times especially during lunch hours! However, the wait usually goes by pretty quick. It'll probably take around 10 minutes or much less, depending on how much you ordered. Parking is a bit iffy (as it normally could get in ktown)-- there's a valet parking lot or street parking.
google avatar

Keyonda A.

Yelp
I'm totally impressed. From the cute little parking lot area to the different prices and sized portions of Kimbap. Although it's not a dine in type of location, it's well situated to meet the needs of customers. Very clean and organized. I love the fact that they have NFC readers to make purchases. I absolutely love the wall decor of the menu choices. It gives you plenty to look at and of course snap beautiful photos while you wait. I'm definitely coming back to my new go-to spot. There's so much variety until I couldn't make up my mind. So I decided to go with flavors tuna, avocado, kimchi and my usual fish ball. I wasn't disappointed at all. I'm so excited that I discovered this location!!! Also, I said parking is easy as long as their not too crowded. Traveling north and just before you get to 4th street turn right into the driveway for the Omni Plaza and there would be a lot further to the back on the left side.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Incredible kimbap at a cute mom and pop shop. The service is nice and helpful - they were patient when I asked a couple of questions and recommendations. The kimbap is made fresh, quickly, and has a lot of different options. The price is excellent and one serving is a large snack or a light meal. Two servings probably would be sufficient for a meal. It's a place I would 100% visit again if in Koreatown/LA.
google avatar

Grace T.

Yelp
This is my favorite kimbap place ever! I stumbled on this place a few years back and have not stopped coming every time I'm in the area. My go to is the tuna and kimchi. All the kimbaps are made to order so they are super fresh. The seasoning of all the ingredients are on point and work well together. The price is very reasonable and tastes much better than a typical market purchase. I think during Covid times they closed the seating area so it's only open for to go orders. Given the type of food they sell, I think it's fine.
google avatar

Emily R.

Yelp
My friends and I were trying to find a place to grab a quick dinner in LA one day and we opted for this place. I'm so glad we did because this was one of the yummiest things I ate during the trip. We got the 20 piece double beef roll / spicy pork roll / steamed dumplings XLB / boiled dumplings. We opted for the dumplings since we weren't sure if just the rolls would be enough and I'm glad we did because these dumplings were so addictive! If you're looking for a place for a quick bite this is the place to go! I recommend making a phone order prior to going - we were able to get in and out really quick since the parking situation where it's located isn't the best.
google avatar

Anthony C.

Yelp
I came in at 6:20, at this point of the night they close the dining area and are only open for takeout but that worked for me. I was able to place my order the moment the host was done calling out order names. I had ordered the Spicy Squid Kimbap and it's a decent size for $9 and even though it's marked among the hotter items it was just as sweet and tangy as it was hot, with no fishy smell or taste. Quick, cheap, delicious, easy, 10/10

Clinic D.

Yelp
Absolutely disappointed. I recommended this place to a family visiting from Korea, and they ended up throwing away the entire kimbap order because it was clearly spoiled. Not only was that embarrassing, but when I called the next day just to let the restaurant know, the person on the phone got angry at us! Instead of a simple apology, they blamed us for not calling sooner and even suggested we might be lying. I was speechless. It's truly shameful that a Korean business in Koreatown would treat fellow Koreans this way. I felt so sorry for our guests, and I honestly hope no one else has to deal with this kind of terrible service and unsafe food. We deserve better.

Yelp
My friends and I wanted to grab something quick and easy before our event and found this shop near our hotel. Who doesn't want kimbap?! It's located on the left building when entering the parking lot of the first floor in the Omni Plaza on the corner of S Western Ave and 4th St in Koreatown. I'm not certain where the exact location is as my friend ran in to grab the foods. There is a very small parking lot that seem to always be filled because of the number of shops in the area. Prior to going, my friends and I placed a phone order of what we wanted as we wanted to bring them back to our hotel. When we were looking at the menu, we were confused to why some of the kimbaps had two prices. When I asked about the two prices, the lady informed me that the first price (cheaper price) was for one roll of 10 pieces and the second price was for double roll of 20 pieces. At first, I was kind of taken aback because of how cheap the roll was even for a 20 piece roll. We ordered the double roll Beef, one roll of Spicy Pork, Steamed Dumplings (XLB), and Boiled Dumplings. The entire meal came with banchan on the side (pickled radish, pickled onions, and jalapenos). Everything was very plump and delicious! This "snack" was looking like a full sized meal! The kimbaps were full of fillings, and the proteins weren't skimped out which I noticed a lot of places tend to do. Each item was simple yet filled with a lot of flavor. My friends and I definitely enjoyed this a lot! Being a kimbap store, it could be a hit or miss, but in this case, it was definitely a hit! They also offer noodle items like tteokbokki. Loved how the price was very affordable with very qualitied items. I definitely will be back if I'm ever in Koreatown!

Yelp
Great place for freshly made Kimbap vs premade at the grocery store... I like to order then come pick it up.

Yelp
This place is located in a plaza that's a bit hard to find if you're not local to K-Town like we were. We came on a Friday evening at around 5:30 PM and there was no one inside. This place is to-go only and we got our food within 5-10 minutes of ordering. The store itself is very quiet and mellow. I could eat kimbap everyday if I could and this place hit the spot. For $9 per kimbap it's hard to beat the price. Spicy pork - 7.5/10. We got a 2/4 on spice and it was actually pretty spicy. Mayo shrimp - 8.5/10

Yelp
I ordered some Kimbap here for my drive back to NorCal. Now I have decided to order some Kimbap here every time I drive back to NorCal.

Yelp
I got quite a large amount of kimbap from here for my b-day party. It came highly recommended by S. Don't let the simple name turn you away - the kimbap is flavorful and extremely filling! Even if it's $9 for a box, it has a LOT of kimbap. Admittedly, some ingredients don't go well together. I can't get over how they pair the cheddar cheese slices with spam. Other than that, the rolls such as the spicy pork, spicy squid and tempura shrimp are solid favorites. Some people do find their spicy options S-P-I-C-Y. You can always ask the staff to make it without the jalepeno peppers. Several of my friends have started to order regularly from here because it's a great lunch/dinner option and also, great to bring to parties. Parking is limited. If you tell valet that you're picking up, they'll let you park in the back for like 15 mins.

Yelp
A small mom and pop shop runs by a Korean auntie. They only do takeout right now. Kimbaps were pre-made and packed so you can very quickly grab and go. Eventhough it's pre-made, the kimbap was fresh. Filled with different veggies and proteins. I really enjoyed my Tuna kimbap. The Spicy Squid got a solid kick to it. Great breakfast/lunch option right here.

Yelp
This place is great. Everyone is super friendly. Open early so you can grab some kimbap on the way to work in the morning, before a hike, day at the beach, etc. and have it for lunch. Also, don't skip on the kimchi fried rice, it's some of the best I've ever had.

Yelp
The Kimbap here are so good that my husband and I drive from west LA when we have cravings. We usually call in advance and let them know that we will pick it up to avoid waiting. Just let the valet guy know that you're there for pick up and they will let you briefly park. They also do large orders if you end up needing catering services but just call hours in advance so they can prep your tray. I ordered two trays of kimbap here to feed 12 and they were ready within three hours!

Yelp
Kimbap made fresh when you order! I wish I found this place sooner. Prices are very reasonable and the kimbap rolls are amazing! This is perfect for any occasion. I love how each kimbap was packed in different boxes. - Spicy pork kimbap: Most flavorful one in my opinion. You can definitely taste the heat in this one. - Beef kimbap: Not too crazy about this one. It's a little dry. - Mayo shrimp kimbap: I actually like this one. There's shrimp tempura inside so it gives the bite a crunchy texture. - Seaweed soup: This soup is flavorful and comforting. Service was very quick! The menu was straightforward with pictures. It's operating as a takeout restaurant right now so customers are going in and out. Parking: Valet parking is $4 but since The Kimbap is not offering dine in, we were able to park in the back lot for free.
