"A small, well-kept village in the shadow of the ‘Ayrshire Alps’ is the setting for this whitewashed pub with a traditional aesthetic and a cosy, homely feel. The extensive menu includes some global influences infused into the pubby favourites – such as the tom yum pork scratchings – and there's an underlying generosity to both the portions and the flavours. Every dish comes with a wine or cocktail recommendation from the well-priced list, and the warm, welcoming team show a real desire to please." - Michelin Inspector

Excellent dishes curated and cooked by a very talented team (who are clearly so passionate about what they're doing and the food they source)! Each time I visit I've enjoyed the experience more and more. A must-visit spot when in or around the area!

We have been waiting for this place to re open. The wait was well worth it. Service was excellent. Couldn't ask for more polite staff. Any questions we had were answered. When we came to order the food it was no problem to exchange my husbands chips for salad. I had the Thai Fish Finger sandwich which was excellent. Will definitely be back soon Been back 6 months later and it's just as nice. Had 3 small plates with 2 sides and made a scottish tapas meal. So good with West beer

It was a fantastic experience all around. The food is simply superb, and I would happily visit again to sample any of the dishes on the menu. High lights certainly being the liguistine prawn toast and the date pudding. Service was flawless with a friendly manner, appropriate timing, and good knowledge of the menu. We dined in the pub side, a dog friendly area. A very friendly atmosphere, snug but not cramped considering the limited space available. I cannot recommend this place highly enough if you are passing by.

Simply wonderful! On our first trip to Ayrshire, this is by far the best dining experience we had. The fish was cooked to perfection, the service was kind and helpful, and the ambience was ideal. Highly recommended. We will come again when next in the area.

An absolutely superb meal and evening. We came with a group of 20 to have the sharing menu and we were SPOILT! The quality of every single plate was exceptional and the amount we had was generous. There was not a single hungry person in our group. The vegetarians and gluten free folks of our group were well catered to and the service was kind and accommodating to our (at times) chaotic group. We gave our chefs and waiters a well deserved round of applause. Everything was seamless and well-orchestrated.

We visited tonight whilst staying locally and thought the food, drinks and service were all excellent! Seems like the pub has recently reopened under new hands and these guys definitely know what they’re doing! Wish them every success and will be back 😃

One of the best meals and outings I've had in year's, staff were delightful and the food was ao beyond what you you'd expect from a country pub, make a day of it because it's an excellent experience. The bar is tiny the locals are larger and welcoming the whole thing is what keeps communities alive.

Had very very high hopes for this restaurant. Upon arrival we felt cold and there was unfortunately zero ambience and very quiet. Bar menu, monkfish Goujons, over cooked, triple cut chips, dry and awful. £30 plate of Duck, 3 tiny pieces, full of un rendered fat, a teaspoon of mash, and one baby potato, the sauce and plate where cold. Charged for water also 2 courses, no alcohol, £100 When you are paying this money, you expect top food which is warm We left and went for a fish supper on the way home. They are trying, but they are way of the mark, which is a shame,

Yelp
I don't think Yelp is as big in Scotland as it is in the States, but I couldn't leave here without writing a quick review. The food is delicious. The hospitality is fantastic. They have standard pub grub, but then they have lamb chops with mashed potatoes, veg, and a wine jus. Everything was tasty and if I'm EVER back here, I'll come back.

Yelp
Our innkeepers at the Enochlodge recommended this restaurant. It has a wonderful pub atmosphere and delicious local dishes. We had fish and chips, and a burger with chips. The chips (known as French fries in the US) were different for each dish, and equally delicious. We also had wonderful local beer. Our tableside neighbors turned out to be staying at the Enochlodge as well, and had haggis scotch eggs, which they raved about. Friendly, helpful staff as well.
