I had no idea their cafe was so dang good!! And to top it, it's in a book store, so there's added charm & I can just walk over to the cafe with my new book & pick up a stellar meal! I'm super picky when it comes to eating out. The food can't be just thrown together. It has to have an artisan feel. Like someone has a mixture of skill & passion. I'm a pretty good cook myself & I know exactly how I like things, so if you can't do better than I can do at home, it feels like a waste. The chefs here make perfect potatoes, delicious bread, yummy hummus, and every dish I've had is far above average! I love that there are healthy choices & indulgent ones on the menu. We make a trip from 30 miles away for a date night to enjoy delicious food & book hunting. I highly recommend 👌❤️

Google
Surprise?! This is not a bad choice for a quick brunch and wine flight. $15 for a wine flight (wines were delish) and Panna cotta pancakes with strawberry & berries for $15 (was just ok) and you get to sit outside chill and people watch. Definitely a quick way to spend a nice morning, relaxing and do some shopping or go to the movies after. It’s right inside Barnes & Noble and wait was not long at all. The staff were friendly. Don’t forget to Follow. @only1christinelu

All the food was great! The cheese steak and. Crunchy potatoes were the best. The brie was soft and warm, bacon apple stuff was the perfect addition. Crackers didn't overpower the cheese and bacon stuff lol. My DIL got the Salmon and loves it. We sat by a window and our server was excellent. It was easy to talk and the atmosphere was perfect. We got more food than we could eat because we wanted to try all the things.

Wow. The food is delicious here and seems like it came out of a fancy Michelin Star restaurant. Seriously, if you've read my other posts, I'm always irritated by dirty silverware and glasses. The first thing I noticed was the glasses were cleaner than any place I can remember. Wife had chicken nachos and those were awesome for such a simple plate. Tasty and tender chicken, plus the chips stayed crunchy the whole time. I had the avocado toast (no, I'm not a hippy) and it was great. It had a lime aftertaste that went perfectly with the combination of eggs and a sprinkle of greens. Service was exceptional and fast. We'll definitely be back. Oh, we got books as well!

Google
Firstly, cafe surrounded by books is always a soothing experience. Second, the food was really good. A little on expensive side though. The pancakes were not too sweet. The sautéed broccolini was really yum. And the avocado toast was pretty good with generous amount of avocado. The service was not the happiest but all in all quite alright. If you find yourself on your way to Lake Tahoe from SF, this is definitely a good stop for brunch.

Google
Still the best Salmon menu you can find anywhere. Thank you chef. The waiting area where you get to wait to get seated is pretty far to catch the attention of the hostess/server specially when they are busy. They seem to get upset if you stand closer to get their attention but then all smiles when they hand you the bill.

Google
We were seated pretty quickly and everyone was nice! The atmosphere is nice to have conversations and just catch up among friends. The food is typical American style lunch and was a big enough portion where I took half of it home. It was a nice experience and cool to know we were eating at one of the two Kitchen locations in the USA.

I recently visited for a weekday brunch with my husband, and this was my second time at the restaurant. Our server, Brandy, was pleasant, though she seemed a bit behind on our orders. We shared a few dishes, including French toast with coffee and a strawberry salad, and each ordered an entree. We couldn’t finish everything, but the food was good overall. However, there was one aspect of our experience that was disappointing. Brandy made several comments directed at me, the female spouse, that I found inappropriate. While most of our food was shared, she found it “humorous” to insinuate that I had too much food. After we boxed up our leftovers, she pointedly looked at me and asked if she should “hide the evidence” by taking away the plates. Her comments were not only unnecessary but also shameful. Such "humor" does not belong in a restaurant setting, and it left a negative impression on an otherwise pleasant meal. I hope the staff will be more mindful of how they address their guests moving forward.

Yelp
Met a friend here for brunch on Saturday at 11am. It is located in the upscale Palladio shopping center. Very limited street parking but then discovered a parking garage just across from here. I chose this place because I wanted a quiet atmosphere for us to catch up on the last 5 years and not feel like we were taking up space. We walk in to Barnes and Noble and the kitchen is on the right near the check out counter. There is a sign that says wait to be seated. We were seated within five minutes. The kitchen section is small (seats maybe 40?) so there could be a wait if it is busy. The menu has some breakfast items, salads, and sandwiches. She got the BLT and I ordered an omelette. Their standard side is "crispy potatoes". I was curious about these and was pleasantly surprised. They truly are crispy but not hard. They were fresh and not reheated frozen. Service was friendly but not attentive. We had to hunt her down to get drink refills and our ticket. I did appreciate that even though we were there for nearly three hours, we were not pressured to leave. Food was good but not memorable. Its a good place for a quiet quick bite. Great place to just be alone honestly. I would return.

Yelp
Ambiance: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Food: 3/5 Drink: n/a Price: 4/5 Parking: 2/5 We stopped by for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. Krysta was our waitress, and she was great! The food was yummy and the prices were spot on. While nothing was over-the-top fantastic, it was an overall nice visit. I would say check it out at least once! Cool concept for sure!

Kristina K.

Yelp
My waitress Ryle was amazing!! My food was fantastic especially the crispy potatoes and carrot hummingbird cake. It was slow and I had asked permission to do some work at the table. I purchased bottomless Mimosa. I was checked in frequently but not overly bothered. I was asked for a refill when the glass was down to the last quarter and when I requested a break, I was asked again later. I was really taken care of when I needed some space to get focus and clear. Definitely returning

Yelp
Barnes and Noble Kitchen is still one of our favorites in Folsom! Lately we have been into the burgers, my husband favors the Western burger, with sauce on the side, and I have been loving their special, a spinach feta turkey burger. That normally comes with fries which are great, but I'm trying to eat healthy lately so I get a side of Tabbouleh. So fresh and yummy!! Service is always great and we almost never have to wait. My only complaint is that it's time to refresh some of the seating. The wicker chairs are so uncomfortable and the benches are getting a little too lumpy.

Yelp
This place is very hit and miss. I will say their crunchy potatoes are amazing! However, I ordered an avocado toast with scrambled eggs without micro greens and side of potatoes. The eggs were cold and the avocado was drenched in lemon juice (which wasn't specified on the menu). Had it been on the menu, I would have asked to not have lemon juice. It was very unenjoyable and the service is a bit hit and miss as well. Sometimes they are attentive and sometimes it is very slow. Mostly seems due to staffing. Everyone is nice but the food is so inconsistent. My friend ordered a salad and when it came, it was totally not as described on the menu. They need to take a look at the menu and be more specific to what it is because we both were unhappy.

Yelp
Had to do a double take the first time I saw this pop up on Yelp. While it might seem a bit left field this Barnes and Noble kitchen is legit! I went with the BLTA which was very fresh with nice cuts of bacon and super fresh produce also came with these super crispy potatoes that don't look it but are sooooo filling. I look forward to trying more of the delicious sounding menu. If you ever get curious I say it's worth a try for sure.

Yelp
Love this place! Delicious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My go-to favorites are the potato wedges and kale salad, always fresh and flavorful. The guacamole is hands-down the best I've ever had, and the chips are perfectly crisp and fresh every time. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The Barnes and Noble Kitchen has to be my all time favorite brunch place in Folsom! Trust me, I don't say this lightly. The ambiance there is always so nice and comforting. Service is always so kind in recommending items and walking around the store is the perfect way to digest the food. As for the food itself, I always get the Portobello Sandwich and it always surprises me how fresh it tastes. I do feel like the size of the sandwich has decreased over time, however. Finding good non-egg menu items at a brunch place is always tough but Barnes and Noble seems to do it. Regardless of what you get- the roasted potatoes are a must! My friend got the ravioli and she enjoyed it as well! Overall, I know I'll be going back there for brunch and I highly recommend you check it out!

Yelp
The manager at this restaurant, Brandy, has horrible customer service skills. Almost every time I have dined here she makes strange remarks/comments. I never write reviews about restaurants, but this is getting ridiculous. Also, when I was walking out of the restaurant my sister in law was telling me she was going to also write a bad review and one of the waitresses decided to follow us out of the restaurant reassuring us that the manager "did not do anything wrong". And this was in front of other customers dining outside by the way! So unprofessional. Food is not worth this service, it's mediocre at best. I will not be eating here anymore.

Yelp
Yummy food. Good service. we made reservations the day before. plus you can order a starbucks drink

Dennis S.

Yelp
Great food and very friendly service staff and being a member has added perks. Located in a suburb area with other stores and good parking.

Patricia V.

Yelp
Do not order the veggie "salad". It was pretty small basically just a side order of raw cauliflower with a very sour lemon dressing and half an egg for $17. The menu said it would have roasted beets, I expected large slices of red beets but there were just a few pieces of extremely small mini gold beets. Very disappointing. I've eaten here before the blt was great and I ordered the French dip for my husband which he enjoyed. Next time I will stick to the sandwiches. This salad should not be on the menu, especially at this price point they need to improve this dish it's not fair to your customers.

Karen G.

Yelp
Unexpectedly good place for delicious sandwiches and veggies. Stopped by the bookstore and decided to grab a drink before heading out. Ordered a Coke and was pleasantly surprised they serve the bottled version from Mexico (original recipe with cane sugar). The house coffee was terrible; better to get whatever they serve at the kiosk near the entrance. We also got the chicken club sandwich that came with house potatoes. Absolutely delicious! Sandwich was fresh and flavorful. The potatoes were especially crispy with tender insides. Hubby enjoyed the side broccolini, but it was a little too salty for me. Service was good (not overly attentive) and the place was clean and spacious. If you like bookstores, it's a great place to chill out.

Yelp
I never in a million years thought that one of my favorite restaurants would be "Barnes and Noble", but here we are! Every meal I've had here has been divine, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I've even asked about some of their yummy dressings, and they've told me where they get it or how they make it! Sometimes they seem a bit understaffed, but I don't typically go to restaurants in a hurry, so I don't mind waiting for awesome food.

Yelp
Went to the restaurant recently for Brunch. Our three kids ordered off the kids menu. Two of the orders came back as adult orders without telling us. When we raise the question, they argued that received adult size meals! Finally, they were rented, but then decided to add a dollar surcharge for anything related to eggs, including French toast because it was dipped in an egg batter. These charges were not on the original bill, but because we pointed out that they erroneously charged us for adult meals, they decided to add in these additional egg surge charges. The entire experience was very uncomfortable. I'm used to quality places, owning their mistake and instantly making the correction - not ply arguing with their clientele in front of everyone. Needless to say, I won't be back here. I suggest Sellands for a nice quality brunch.

Yelp
I really love coming to the open area to study along with plenty other students because it's a nice environment but it sucked to overhear the manager complaining to another customer/friend of hers how much she hates when we students spend their time here because we don't spend a lot of money. Plenty of us buy a coffee and some food but still not enough to her. No issue with every other worker here! All the woman at the Starbucks bar are the nicest people.

Yelp
Delicous!! I love all of the dishes I have tried so far. They all have a great taste as well as presentation. While this may be my inner child speaking, I am very fond of the water pourer, it seems so elegant and professional. The restaurant/cafe is well set up and is a very nice and calm area speaking to the fact that it is in a library, which is the best part! I love getting a book and then heading over to the kitchen for lunch with my book, plus they are always having deals for if you buy a book to get a free cookie (which are delicious by the way) which is a nice way to get a little dessert item too. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
Wow can't believe my last review was so long ago! My family enjoys eating here and then doing some book shopping! Service was pretty quick and friendly and dishes were promptly brought out. The restaurant was pretty full but not overly noisy. It was a chilly evening and so having a nice dinner, perusing books and music made for a perfect evening.

Melanie H.

Yelp
One of our favorite places to eat! Food is great, servers are always friendly! It's a super leisurely place to have dinner, lunch or breakfast. We've done everything from Saturday breakfast, to Friday night dinner, to Mother's Day brunch, to the Harry Potter game night. And only have had great experiences! If you have an overly entitled mindset, do the fine folks who work here a kindness and go elsewhere.

Yelp
The kitchen resturant located in Barnes & Noble is a MUST try! We stopped by to have lunch, it was packed. The service was 5-stars and food was perfect! Can't wait to try this place for Dinner! The ambiance is really nice. Folsom is lucky to have this resturant because B&N locations only have 2 locations where they also have The Kitchen. The other is in Wechester County, NY.

Yelp
All the weekend brunch vibes! A little reading, some coffee, brunch, shopping and a movie at the Palladio. Parking is best found in the garage or by Whole Foods. Located right by Sephora.

Yelp
It was unexpected to have someone recommend eating at Barnes and Noble, and even more unexpected to have really enjoyed it. The food was really good, and I will definitely be going back to try other dishes I wasn't able to try on our first visit! The service was also great, and it was nice sitting outside near the fountain on a nice day.

Yelp
Today I dined here for lunch with my toddler, 7 month old and few other family members that also had children. The entire experience was unfortunate from the start; the workers continuously kept giving glares to the table due to my toddler being a toddler. The kitchen is inside the Barnes & noble bookstore which entails a children's section. The restaurant provides children menu. So I was very alarmed by the confusion of seeing a table with children present. After we paid (and left very generous tips) I stood up with my 7 month and the manager came up and asked me to move due to being "in the way." Mind you the restaurant was 80% empty. As we left the manager, named BRANDY, also made a remark about my child "messing up the walls." I do not condone my child misbehaving in public nor doing outrageous behaviors and make sure to correct behaviors as needed but I was so alarmed by the comments. As we walked out, another worked followed behind to reiterate what the manager stated and continued to say things to us, there were others dining outside so I found it very unprofessional and I felt borderline harassed. I am with my family and there are children present, it was uncomfortable and out of line. I will never dine here again.

Yelp
A great place to grab a casual bite to eat while surrounded by the best books! The vibe walking into Barnes and Noble was very inviting and relaxed. We walked towards the host stand and were immediately greeted with a smile & sat right away. The host/waitress was so sweet. We shared the salmon and it was a bit salty for my liking but overall delicious. They seem to have good happy hour deals so we will be back to check that out!

Love the food and ambiance. Healthy salads and sandwiches. Great french fries. Good place to meet with friends.

Yelp
Food was delicious. I also love the ambiance. It's tucked away inside Barnes and noble. It's nice, clean, and spacious. Service was also very good. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Whether you or a local or a tourist looking for a great place to eat ~ viola, you have arrived! I love this phenomenal restaurant! Why? It exceeds my expectations. I never thought eating in a Barnes and Noble Restaurant/ Book store was going to be exceptional! Yet, my dining experience proved otherwise! The Quality of the food is truly amazing. No matter what you are craving, any item will delight your taste buds! Also, the presentation of the food is outstanding. The dishes not only look good, but most importantly they taste good! I think the prices are very reasonable considering this is your five star above average establishment. I am truly impressed with the quality and the quantity of the entrees. Also, the service was excellent. The girl who served me, Brooke was very kind and very helpful. She had a wealth of information, and helped me decide what I wanted to order! I am grateful for her help, patience, and kindness. The atmosphere is really unique. It is trendy, yet very comfortable and relaxing. There are just enough options in this restaurant to keep me more than satisfied. Just think, while I am waiting on my food I can browse the great adventures of books or magazines along the shelves! Also, I am allowed to read as such at my table! This is a double win! I highly suggest this restaurant and I look forward to dining there again while in NorCal! Shared with Kindness ~ Kate

Yelp
Great food and great vibes. A little pricy but the ambience is great band everyone is super nice and well attentive. Cool that's it's in a bookstore too
google avatar

Edmund F.

Yelp
A very rare Brunch restaurant where the food, service and ambiance are all top notch. A real hidden gem in NorCal and the place has not disappointed even after multiple visits. The consistency of quality is surprising for a restaurant attached to a bookstore. Highly recommended: Baby back ribs, French Dip, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Grilled Cheese+Tomato Soup Combo.
google avatar

Sharon E.

Yelp
Delicious food always. My fav is the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The cheeseburger and smashed potatoes are another fav. Try it you'll be pleasantly surprised for lunch at a book store.
google avatar

Dan R.

Yelp
One of only five Barnes & Noble in the country with a ful kitchen, we came for Mother's Day brunch - they do brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 10-2. Lemon ricotta pancakes and add in a full Starbucks for the coffee service. Nice overall menu from appetizers to dinner items as well for any time of the day
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
Had dinner here on a Monday evening. The service was great, the atmosphere was chill, and most importantly the food was amazing! I had the most amazing salad with beets and my partner had a very tasty western burger (on brioche bun) with the most amazing potatoes served on the side. Yum!

May S.

Yelp
The seating arrangement sucks at this location. It blends their Starbucks and dining seating areas and they keep changing the boundaries for where coffee vs. dining customers can sit. I was sitting in an area historically for coffee customers (I come every week) and was rudely told the whole seating area is for customers only (I had my coffee in hand obviously a customer). This is the second time they changed dining boundaries and I have been rudely treated. The food is also overpriced and mediocre. Despite being a weekly coffee regular, I will not be going back even if they restore previous boundaries. This sucks, and I was already having a shitty day trying to make it better with a bookstore coffee trip. I am still a customer even if I didn't order a specific classification of items. It wasn't even packed, they had 3 customers and 20ish tables. From now on, I will be going to the other starbucks down the block for my coffee.
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
It seems a little odd to have such a luxe type of kitchen within a bookstore, but it really works quite well! The food options, while slightly pricey, are all delicious. I've been here several times with family and friends, and we all agree that everything we've ever ordered from the hummus and pita, to the guacamole with housemaid chips, to their delicious sandwiches are all incredible. The vibe in this place is definitely like a high end bookstore, I like how there are some couches with charging stations nearby, and the table service is really quick and efficient. You're even able to sit in their café area and your server will get Starbucks drinks for you! It's definitely in my rotation of places to come if I want to splurge on my cell, or my cute kiddos a little!

Kathleen S.

Yelp
UPDATE: I am ready to beg and plead the manager to continue the "special" I got today -- the spinach & feta cheese turkey burger. PLEASE make this a permanent offering on your menu. It's beyond anything I've ever had, it huge and satisfying, and your version of fries are awesome. My husband got one of the other specials - fish & chips - and is also hoping for it to find a home on the menu. His only reservation was it came with two pieces, not three, of fish, but it was also top grade white cod. BTW, the manager of the restaurant spends hours painting and working on this great place and you'll enjoy meeting her if you get to. She steps in and does anything that might be needed.
google avatar

Wanda G.

Yelp
I come here once a week for a crafting meet up so I have eaten here probably 15 times. Always consistently good food and great service! It's inside the Barnes and Noble bookstore - but it's a sit down restaurant. It's in the Palladio Center. Lots of parking garages in the center. Easy to find. They have beer, wine and cider and a full Starbucks menu. The kitchen serves a mix of foods like soups, salads, sandwiches. But also some delicious pasta dishes. My favorite things are the Garden pasta, the tomato soup and the potato skins. Service is friendly and swift. I love this crew and it's a great meeting place! Check it out!!

Yelp
Excellent location and good book selection in an era where a lot of book stores are surviving by putting more non-book items in the store. This is a good size location so that helps distancing as needed in these current times. While there are the more common non-book areas one finds these days, there is plenty of shelves with books in a wide variety of genres. Plenty for selections, especially in what's new. Rarely do I leave without a book or three. Another nice part of those location is the Starbucks coffee/tea area in what they call the Kitchen. Nice food selection in the past when this area was open before covid times". Plenty of different seating styles inside. Some tables, some benches and more conversation type areas. There is some outdoor seating also available. A good place to hang out overall. As this is located in a large outdoor mall type area, there are tons of other stores and nice door areas to walk around.

Yelp
My husband and I have come to this Barnes and Noble over the years and we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in this weekend and saw their kitchen/restaurant was up and running. The hosting station is kind of in an awkward spot, in my opinion. You could easily walk past it - it's like a small desk covered in adverts, papers, and signs. It doesn't really match the essence of the restaurant itself, which is classy and quaint. Although the restaurant was sparsely filled, it took a bit of time to get seated. No one was available for a good five to ten minutes and we waited at the host station until someone noticed we were there - they had come from the back of the restaurant. The two families after us also waited about the same time. Not sure if this is due to short-staffing or if they're figuring out all the kinks. It didn't really bother me though! I've waited for much longer at traditional chain restaurants. Once you get seated, it's mostly smooth sailing from there. The appetizer we had was the burrata, heirloom tomatoes and toast. It was 10/10! My husband ordered the Brisket Burger and I had the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup. We shared a side of parmesan and garlic Broccolini. I enjoyed the tomato soup! It was creamy and warm. The grilled cheese was pretty good but the ratio of cheese to bread was lacking. I feel like they need to swap out the bread to something thinner or add more cheese. Maybe it was just the way they made mine that day! My husband thought the brisket burger was okay! It was average - but it did the job. Our favorite was the broccolini! It was salty, crisp, fresh, and aromatic. The garlic added the right amount of flavor, and I thought it was cooked to perfection. Our waitress/server was friendly and it was nice that as premium B&N members we got 10% off our meal! Highly recommend if you're in the area, have an appetite, and need to stop by B&N anyway.

Yelp
When I first came here a couple years ago I was obsessed. Their food is generally pretty tasty! And feels pretty fresh, not like typical stale cafe food. But the service has been steadily declining. Have very low expectations when eating here. I have had to wait nearly 40min for an iced tea on one occasion because the waitress "forgot" and then proceeded to forget to check in on our table. We had finished our food and had to sit there for another 30min before she remembered we existed. Also, if you order food from the cafe and sit in the communal study area, YOU HAVE TO TAKE YOUR DIRTY DISHES TO THE COUNTER. Not a bad thing, but they don't tell anyone that. So if you don't do it, they won't pick it up for literal hourssssssss and the people who sit there after you have to deal with it, which is not nice. Be a nice human and clean up after yourself! Other than that, it's a great spot and the food is pretty darn good overall. Hard to go wrong. I think the only dish I wasn't super impressed by was the mac n cheese. It was reallyyyy bland. Craft does better. Try other dishes. Don't waste your money on the mac n cheese here. The breakfast sandwiches and burgers and literally everything else is delicious though!

Yelp
Wonderful experience overall! Ericka was our lovely server and she was so patient and knowledgeable about what they have to offer. We enjoyed everything we ordered and can't wait to be back. I love their perfect range of breakfast food, quick bites, lunch items, and alcoholic drinks, and how it's perfectly placed in the Palladio shopping center close by everything from shopping, movies, or places to stop by for dessert. I look forward to my next visit! I have noticed that they might not have the best rating but I am glad I gave them a try and based on my experience, I had a very welcoming and pleasant time. Beautiful job to the mangers, chefs, and other staff members for the friendly service, outstanding selections, and overall wonderful experience.

Kilo S.

Yelp
We eat here often. The dining room is pleasant and quiet enough to have a conversation, the food is consistently tasty, the service is outstanding, and best of all, the prices are reasonable.

Aaron S.

Yelp
A great location that is tucked away within the Barnes and Nobles bookstore. I love how it's all on the same floor so you can stroll from the restaurant straight into the bookstore after you finishing dining. There are big windows that overlook the Palladio which makes for a tranquil dining experience (as long as passersby don't stare at you too long while you eat lol). The food is so tasty. For an appetizer, we had the bruschetta which was absolutely bursting with mouthwatering flavor thanks to the sauce. I ordered the French Dip sandwich which was equally as tasty, even without the assistance of the dip. The potatoes were huge and satisfyingly crunchy. It's a great little spot and we will definitely be back soon!

Yelp
Great place to drop in and have lunch and check out the books and games. I took my niece and her son for lunch after doing some shopping. We order the Avocado and egg spread on French toast, macaroni and cheese bowl and a grilled cheese with tomato soup. Everything was very good and tasty on a rainy day. I also got a hot green tea. I would definitely recommend this little restaurant and bar at Barnes and Noble Kitchen. They have games you can play while waiting for your food. The girls working the bar area were very attentive and had great personalities.

Yelp
I came here today 8/20/22. I wanted to be impressed, but I wasn't. They were definitely short staffed there was a young girl inside the cafe making coffee for the folks that were ordering, then there was a sign that said "Please Wait To Be Seated" I stood there for about 5min in silence the young girl never said "be right with you" etc. we were then seated place was pretty bare lots of open tables. I asked for a high chair the girl went to look then came back and said they were out. Um, are you kidding me? I had my 1yr old that is still too small for the booster seat. Um alright I looked around and two highchairs were not in use. Thankfully she sat well this time around. I ordered the French Toast with Fruit $10 (4 large cinnamony pieces) and a coffee $3 nothing fancy just starbucks regular brew. My daughter ordered the B&N All American Breakfast $14 typical eggs, bacon, potatoes. After we started to eat flies started flying in and no water was brought to the table til after we were done eating our waitress was Marisa and she was kind, but the real plus was the $2 discount being a B&N Member.

Yelp
absolutely love barnes & noble kitchen! the food is always delicious and the staff are always kind. upscale cafe is the perfect description as you get the "boujee" options but classic cafe options as well. plus premium members get 10% off -- we love the savings! it's the perfect place to grab a drink and bite and read your new book!

Yelp
I ate at the Barnes & Noble cafe and I like their food however i've had unusual experiences with the staff multiple times. The last time I had eaten I ordered a mac and cheese at the kitchen and they brought out a grilled cheese and I told the server I asked for a mac and cheese and she kept gaslighting me and saying I didn't say mac and cheese I said grilled cheese when I ordered. I've gotten a mac and cheese every time and I didn't know they even served grilled cheeses so I'm pretty sure this is not the case. Anyways they didn't end up getting me what I actually ordered and the grilled cheese was double the price just for something I didn't even want. I love the Barnes environment but it just seems like encounters like this are pretty normal with the staff which is unfortunate.

Yelp
Enjoyed a great dinner had the burger That was cooked perfectly (bread was falling apart which usually indicates it's dry ) But- Their potatoes are Amazing !!! That is special dish on its own there - you need to add a few dipping sauces (ketchup does not do it justice it's for kids) ranch - blue cheese to name a few suggestions Our servers were wonderful and very attentive -throughout our dinner- although I can understand the confusion from other reviews - when you walk in the counter people do not welcome you ? Perhaps they expect you to know they only are there to make coffee -it was odd - but luckily my sister saw this sign that said (Seat yourself) - so we went to the back in the dining area -they were Great greeted us right away --the counter folks need a little instruction our visit was Tuesday hours 6 -7 PM i'll definitely come back and would recommend
