"In my world, ground turkey has exactly one purpose, and that is for making Julia Turshen’s turkey ricotta meatballs. For the most part, I avoid turkey, because it tends to get dry and crumbly. To avoid this, Turshen recommends using dark meat, but even if you’re stuck with ground white meat, ricotta and parmesan folded into the mixture will give your balls the needed moisture to come out juicy and delicious. While a simple tomato sauce is simmering on the stovetop, the recipe has you brown the meatballs in the oven which, while less exciting than searing them, is quicker and makes for much less cleanup. Once the balls are browned and the sauce is simmered, all that’s left to do is combine the two, and you’re good to go. A very good case for eating more turkey." - Eater Staff

This place is amazing! We were traveling from Northern Montana to Jackson, WY, and we were running late. The manager, a wonderful man, tried everything to make our anniversary dinner much better and more memorable for us. We arrived on time, they kept our table ready in a nice place where we could have a nice view of the restaurant and privacy as well. The manager of the restaurant gave us complimentary champagne and appetizers as he knew we had driven for 8-9 hours, and he talked to us upon our arrival to make us comfortable. Next was our server, who was amazing, chatty, and lovely. She was good with recommendations and suggested good dishes. We loved both the appetizers and main courses. The cocktails were very well prepared and stirred. I loved their dessert menu with a skillet cookie, as it was not what I was expecting but freshly prepared cookies with ice cream. Overall, amazing people, food, and great ambiance. I highly recommend this place, knowing you will not be disappointed if you go there.

We had a lovely dinner at The Kitchen. Servers were all amazing, friendly and professional. The food is simply amazing, well-prepared and so flavorful. Cocktails are inventive and unique. A perfect experience from start to finish.

We had dinner during our stay at Jackson. My husband really enjoyed his angus steak but I was very disappointed by my salad with not one peach slice. The salmon raw bar was very tasteful. The staff (2 persons) were rushing us at the end, removing our plates while still finishing our last bite, two minutes of wait will not hurt you!

Google
Attended the Kicthen’s wine dinner in February. The experience was lovely, and very well priced. Both the food and wine were delicious and the staff was very attentive.

Google
Lauren (I believe was her name) the hostess was absolutely delightful. She made the meal! Infectious positive energy. The food was fabulous as well - we tried most of the menu and the standouts were the beef tartare (a MUST) and the pork chops. Honorable mentions are the pork shank and the burger. I usually take photos of our food, but unfortunately we were too hungry this time! Would absolutely recommend and will visit again next time I’m in town. Enjoy!

Google
Absolutely EVERYTHING was fabulous. We had a large private group Thursday night and we all tasted each others apps, drinks, entrees and desserts. Honestly the best dining experience I have had since Nobu Miami a few years ago. Delicious doesn’t even cover it.

James N.

Google
Decor and layout leads one to think you are dining in a former sushi restaurant, but you are not. Flavors lean heavily towards soy/umami yet are American takes. Service can be slow in a good way and cocktails are top notch. However, if you are expecting leftovers, this isn't the place; portions on the smallish side, for example the ramen had half the normal amount of noodles than typical. That being said, different from other Jackson restaurants and worth visiting.

Loved this place! Was in town for a gals trip and stopped here for food. The food was delicious and the smoke and mirrors drink was sooo good!

Andrew C.

Yelp
Very good. Spontaneous meal, with seating at the counter for two. I tried the duck, which was well done - if a little salty and rich. The sauce was pretty spicy too, certain Thai flavors. My mother went for the salmon, which I found to be uninteresting. But that wasn't my choice, after all. People sat next to us had the pork chop and steak, which looked quite good. Maybe next time... We got there during happy hour but neither of us ordered drinks. We lucked into the 2 for $2 deal, which makes the value worthwhile.

Glen G.

Yelp
A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The service and food were excellent and the outdoor seating quite nice. We got there during happy hour and started off with the Tamarind Margarita. Aside from the salt it was not very margarita like, but it was still tasty. As appetizers we got the tuna, tempura shrimp and delicious cabbage salad. The tuna was fresh and delightful with cool rice crisps hiding the raw tuna. The tempura was nicely flavored and very light, it felt more like pan fried shrimp. We shared the sizeable and colorful cabbage salad and really enjoyed the light dressing. For mains we had the Mushroom Ramen, King Salmon, and grilled pork chops. All were delicious and I'll let the photos do most of the talking. The ramen was spicy but just right for my taste. We had two desserts, the tart and the skillet. I thought the tart was a bit too hard, but the skillet was just right. It was gone before I could get a photo :-) Everything about the dinner was great. They have a very attentive staff and the outdoor patio was kid and dog friendly.

Yelp
Came for dinner and every dish we tasted had a creative and thoughtful flavor palette. We mostly tried seafood dishes. The Hawaiian ono crudo was delicious. Keep in mind it has a lot of nuts if that is not your thing. The scallop crudo was good but the acidity could have been better balanced. I wouldn't get that dish again. Scallion pancake appetizer was like a giant version of an awesome egg roll. Smoked trout dip was one of the best values on the menu for the price. The ramen was larger than expected and had exceptionally flavorful broth. The Al pastor cocktail and the Jedi were both original and fun to try. I would say that were kind of small or overfilled with ice. The decor was consistent with the feel of Jackson but more modern. Service was fast and the staff clearly knew the menu very well. I would definitely recommend the Kitchen to anyone visiting Jackson and will make a point to stop anytime I'm here.

Yelp
Nice little restaurant that offers something different than bar food. Not sure of prices at other food joints in the area cause I only ate here on a holiday from the National Parks but it's high priced for the food that I had. Service was great with friendly staff.

Jackie P.

Yelp
Excellent service. Very good foods and at reasonable price in Jackson Hole. It's an Asian fusion restaurant in Jackson Hole. We didn't believe that it could be this good because com'on it's Jackson Hole. How can Asian food be good here, right? Nooo, surprisingly everything was so good and tasty.

Christine O.

Yelp
This was the last meal of our trip and by far the best, probably the best meal we've had in a long time. We shared a variety of plates. Each was so inventive and absolutely delicious. A lovely dining room, friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Sabrina M.

Yelp
This was everyones favorite meal during our short stay in Jackson Hole on our way up the mountains. We weren't surprised when we learned the chef is from KC. We make good stock here, pun intended. My pork belly scallop was amazing. Jody said the pork chop was worth writing home about. Elise, our token vegetarian raved about the wild mushroom ramen. Yep, she licked that bowl! The weather was perfect for dinner and drinks on the patio. Service was great. Highly recommend The Kitchen

Morgana C.

Yelp
No longer good after new ownership, not sure why exactly but I do know the food was only fine but used to be amazing. Also now surrounded by ugly new condos and now no parking. Sadly won't be returning. Used to be my fav spot.

Riley S.

Yelp
The kitchen was one of the best places we have been. We called a week ahead for an engagement dinner and they were able to accommodate 18 of us. They made the night so special. The gave us a private little room and had a server that was so attentive to us all. The food was amazing and all the drinks were delicious. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone that is visiting Jackson hole.

Josh S.

Yelp
I liked the food, but some in my party did not. The Ramen was spicy. I like spicy food, but the two people in my party who do not like spicy food ordered the ramen, and they regretted it. To their credit, when we spoke up, the server made it right.

Madison L.

Yelp
Really cool atmosphere, great service, and unique American fare! I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Jackson Hole! The inside of the restaurant is inviting and interesting and the heated outdoor tents were perfectly warm and cozy! The drinks and food were really delicious too - We all were surprised by how delicious and flavorful the tofu was and we really loved the pork and grits dish! Also really appreciated the servers Retka and Parker as they were so helpful and friendly!

Barbara P.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. We made it to happy hour and experienced the best appetizers. Service was awesome. Had the shrimp, salmon and tuna. Entrees were scallops and garlic, tofu, and salmon.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Wow! What a gorgeous place & a fantastic meal. Definitely check this place out when in Jackson Hole. From our refreshing apps to savory entrées, this place hit ALL of the marks. We absolutely loved our meals and will be back to dine the next time we are in town.

Colleen L.

Yelp
Nice restaurant. Definitely recommend reservations --- it was packed when we visited. Good staff but our server had to be prodded to explain the entrees. Other servers did a much better job. Food was good but a bit over salted. The ono was very citrus-ie...should be described more as a ceviche. Although the pork chop was large, it was way over salted. The pork belly app was delicious with great flavor. The dandan duck noodle dish was okay with very little flavor and no sauce. My husband loved the ice cream--it had a gritty texture and was very unique. Drinks were very good.

Alice Z.

Yelp
Came here for dinner after a long day in the tetons. The patio was really nice. Tried the cabbage salad, tartar, chicken and trout. Everything was seasoned well and really tasty. Service is also good.

Leticia L.

Yelp
This place is worth waiting for. My wife had the caviar hamachi. Loved it. Taste, texture, everything. Freshness. I had the smoked trout. It came with "chicharrones (pork rinds nice and slightly salted. Perfect combination with the trout. The sauce was something I had never tasted. I don't like mayonnaise but it tasted homemade with lemon instead of vinegar. The flavor combinations were very unique. Party on my mouth. We shared the pork chop and it was great. It was cooked to perfection sweet ( tamarind sauce) salty taste worked great with the grits. My wife decided to have another appetizer not because it felt like it wasn't enough but because she wanted to try more. Beautiful. Enjoyed everything.

Jana V.

Yelp
We enjoyed the variety of dishes offered. The Korean BBQ was especially good. Our grandson liked the ramen noodles. Service was good.

Ruth N.

Yelp
All the food was too spicy. No indication on menu of spicy and we ordered what we thought was ok based on ingredients. When my husband couldn't eat the rice he ordered plain rice. The plain rice came heavily salt and peppered that he couldnt eat that either . Server was very nice and tried to give plain rice a second time but really?! Need to fix the problems and kitchen and improve flavors, decrease intensity of spice and mark it on the menu. Extremely disappointing

Wendy J.

Yelp
The ambiance is beautiful. I dined alone as this was a work trip. It had a nice romantic, yet cozy feel and I felt perfectly comfortable alone. The menu looked so amazing I couldn't decide, so I asked the waitress to pick for me. Her picks did not disappoint! The GM was incredibly friendly as well. 100% recommend!!!!

Yelp
Family's Finale Dinner in Jackson Ski Week. I made reservations on the Open Table App as that is what is requested. Slim pickin's if you wait too long. I tried to call as there are sometimes more options available but their recording directs you to the App. We were the first family this evening and it didn't take long for the dining room to fill up. The noise level was a little loud this evening due to a few families with little children but not too loud to not have a table conversation. And bring on the kiddos I say, great life development. I'm an Old Fashioned Guy and there twist of a Vanilla Infused Bourbon OF was a nice change from the norm My family shared a Lump Crab Roll and a Short Rib Tamalè. Both were delicious. For dinner I enjoyed the Red Deer Tenderloin and it did not disappoint. Cooked as requested, M. R. My wife and I split a Coconut Créme Brûlée with Mango & Passion Fruit. I felt the coconut flavor was a little weak but the consistency was perfect. Our server who's name I fail to remember was a seasoned pro. My daughter sensed a skier in her and she actually skied and is a boarder. The entire wait staff was working as a fine oiled machine assisting each other and working the floor quietly. Having been a server it was nice to see this behavior still occurs.

Yelp
Wow.. hidden gem in Jackson Hole. We've been here for 5 days, and this was the last place we had dinner at. By far, the best food and experience we've had here. Food, amazing. Service, amazing. Ambience, amazing. The restaurant is off to the side of town square, tucked away in a corner. But once you find it, you will want to go back. p.s. the kids burger real delish

Rob W.

Yelp
Again, second night in Jackson, no reservations but we were able to come here and sit in the outdoor yert. Pretty pricey for what you get, but everyone liked everything. We started with the hamachi, which everyone enjoyed. Came with a smoke soy; I don't really like smokey stuff and didn't notice which was good. Also had pistachio, which was a nice touch. Kids had the salmon, which was well cooked. Small portion and they both really liked it. Came with a subtle labneh, the kids didn't love the black lentils, thought they were bland. I went with the tofu bowl, the tofu was sweet and well seasoned, lots of flavor. Rest of items were bland, but not a biggie since the tofu was so flavorful. Service was great. I also liked that they had a local beer

Ashley W.

Yelp
This place was excellent, so happy we found it! The best part was the chef was so so nice, and very personable considering he was busy cooking and the kitchen is partially blocked! Service was excellent, our waitress was very attentive. Portions are great, definitely check on the spice level of your food before you order just in case. The tofu was some of the best I've had! Nicely seasoned and prepared. The shrimp were hot and crunchy The ramen was perfectly seasoned, great broth The duck was succulent

Lauren D.

Yelp
This place is fantastic!!! It was our first night in Jackson hole and you can tell they are extremely professional and put everything into their dishes. Their dishes are so hand crafted and so intricate. They put so much care into their dishes. Someone got the scallops and loved them! They even had a vegan option it's tofu and it as some of the best tofu we ever had! Light, crispy, savory but overly fried. One guest ordered the mushroom ramen and they came out with it without an egg, but to compensate they substituted the egg with a whole side of tofu and then they took it off the entire bill! Really fair and professional staff with great food. Highly recommend

Todd U.

Yelp
The Executive Chef is Ash Tucker. His dishes are phenomenal! I have never seen an orange paired with hamachi, but the flavors were damn good! We also ordered the muscles and it comes with a green curry broth. Another out of the park dish! Catch of the day was a halibut, both my wife and son orered this dish. I ordered the ramen, pretty basic and found every where, but not his flavors. Chef mixes a pho similar broth with his ramen and combines it with some Korean influences. This is a must try dish. The halibut was tender and cooked perfectly! The chef accommodated my son and made mashed potatoes, however, the black rice was a perfect match! The flavors were to die for! I not only would recommend this place, I would live here if I could! Thank you for the great experience chef, and such an AWSOME experience! Okay, desserts, a similar story! Chef Chad Horton makes a ginger, lemongrass brûlée and this is to die for! My son got the chocolate chip cookie skillet and my God! This was another dish to die for!

Kelsey S.

Yelp
Absolutely awful experience. The waiter asked for ID from a table of adults, very odd. I had lost my ID traveling, obviously causing me enough issues with that in itself, just trying to enjoy a nice dinner without that stress. Even though I had photos of my ID and passport just from recently submitting them to a new apartment complex, the waiter would not serve me. We asked to speak to a manager and that waiter said it was not possible, very odd. Our party was incredibly turned off by the rude service and went to the Snake River Grill instead. We had a great meal there and would absolutely recommend the Snake River instead of enduring the rude staff here.

Sangita A.

Yelp
The cocktail was great! Don't miss the happy hour, Good customer service and good food with great views of mountains! Loved this place.

Danette J.

Yelp
Lamb was extremely mediocre. Wouldn't eat here again.. Service was good, but we were seated in the cold patio even though I had made a reservation . The evening was a complete disappointment.

Mike P.

Yelp
I am a vegetarian, preferably a vegan. We were in Jackson Hole and decided to try The Kitchen. The Ramen dish was absolutely fantastic, but be prepared to wipe your head, it was spicy!! My wife had a tofu dish which was very good. Had a great time, Service was great, outdoor patio dining with view of the mountains was fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

Christina W.

Yelp
There is a reason why folk reserve tables in advance. Update your hours if you are going to use booking services. Went to our scheduled Tuesday reservation, and they were closed. Went to five other restaurants before one was able to seat us.

Emily W.

Yelp
Enjoyed this small little unique spot. Waitress was direct but friendly when you engage with her. Food was delish. Fancy but still a good service size for the items we ordered, the pork chop, miso shrimp & grits, and duck pad Thai.

Victoria E.

Yelp
For Jackson Hole, this is a great seafood place. The crudo dishes are amazing and the duck was delicious. I think this is a very Asian influenced joint, and it reminds me a lot of Californian restaurants where easts meets west. The ambience is great. I stayed at the Snow King so walking over to this part of town took about 40 minutes and it's just enough time for one to digest food on the way back. The kitchen has a nice round bar area and the service is super good. Regretfully I did not make the happy hour. It would have been great if we did. If you are missing Californian cuisine and want something that is not just game meat, this place is your spot.

Thea B.

Yelp
Had the trout and it was good! Not dry and lots of flavor. Service was quick and efficient. It was a bit too hot to sit outside and but had fun anyways!

Naomi P.

Yelp
Came here with my husband and it was amazing! The staff is just as lovely as the food. Great atmosphere everyone is always smiling. Most certainly Jackson's hidden gem since it is off the main square. My husband absolutely loves their Tempura Shrimp and I love the scallops! Everything we tried was outstanding. We would also recommend the cheesecake for dessert!

Mick A.

Yelp
A must visit in Jackson. We had the tuna appetizer and foie gras, these are amazing. The decor is an aviation vide like a hanger, which is awesome. One block from town square and so worth it! Try their craft cocktails, exceptional!

Jenna M.

Yelp
We went to all the top spots downtown and this was our favorite food wise. We had the striped bass crudo and then immediately ordered the Hawaiian ono crudo. We shared the pork chop and trout for entrees and and both dishes melted in our mouth with every bite. Super impressed from start to finish. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

J H.

Yelp
This place is delicious. There's a widely variety in the menu but my favorites were the sashimi raw bar options. Had the Hawaiian fish with jalapeño and passion fruit as well as the salmon. Both were fresh and paired beautifully with their sauces. The fish seemed so fresh it melted in the palate, I wish I'd tried more. They were incredibly accommodating for our reservation for 16 people. Their cocktails are well balanced and delicious. I tried the paper plane and one with Prosecco. My next favorite was the dessert panna cotta. Also enjoyed the mushroom ramen but tried a bite of the tofu dish and it was excellent. I would highly recommend the place. Overall a wonderful experience. They just forgot to bring spoons out with the dessert.

Dar R.

Yelp
We had such a great experience at The Kitchen last night. Charmingly modern decor and fun vibe with great music. Excellent service from our male server who was knowledgeable and attentive. GM was also attentive and very interactive throughout the restaurant. Started with a bottle of CA brut Rosé sparkling with a delicious crab cake and perfect, unique elk tataki. Followed up by a super fresh summer salad with feta and berries and the most fabulous halibut dish with a sauce you could drink like soup (too good). Finished off with nice creme brûlée topped with fresh berries. We will definitely be back to try more menu items!

Andrew S.

Yelp
Holy moly- super friendly service. Lauren Scott greeted us with incredible energy upon arrival and checked on us during our meal. Really enjoyed the tempura shrimp, king salmon and the brined pork chop. Outstanding culinary cuisine within a cozy atmosphere = this epic dinner stop. Cheers to the the JH Fine Dining Restaurant Group and their staff.

Alexey K.

Yelp
Overpriced run of the mill American food. Don't be fooled by the Japanese words on the menu. "Wagyu burger with togarashi fries" was absolutely plain regular uninventive burger with slice of tomato and a pickle. It might have been made from Japansese beef, but you'd never feel the difference in a burger. Togarashi means red pepper, fries sprinkled with dried red pepper. "Peking duck" was cooked allright, but had nothing to do with actual Peking duck. "panko crusted Red Deer Tenderloin Katsu" means "Deer cutlet in breadcrumbs" Local beer was served in a can, moreover, they didn't have pint-sized glasses, so I had to pour it from the can twice. I don't mind, but won't call that fine dining.

Ash S.

Yelp
I had high expectations for this place- it was busy and the atmosphere inviting. Our water was very attentive. The cocktails sounded appealing- in reality they were too sweet. As a vegetarian, I found the food was quite disappointing and overpriced. The cabbage steak and noodle dish were too salty. For food alone, I would've given 2 stars but the waitstaff was so nice. Their service alone would merit 5 stars but the food really brought it down.

Rich V.

Yelp
We made a reservation a couple of months ago and get here and they have changed their hours and are now closed, but they didn't call us. So now we are in Jackson Hole on a day with no dinner reservations in July. We should have been notified. Very poor service. Do NOT make a reservation here, they may cancel on you without notice.

Kevin B.

Yelp
Was in Jackson Hole last weekend right before everything shut down. We were on the first leg of a three week ski trip throughout the west, where we planned to go to seven different resorts. We got in late Saturday, 3/14 expecting to ski on Sunday only to learn to JHMR was shut down for the day and then for the season. We decided to go home Monday morning so we dined on Sunday night at "The Kitchen" - a sister restaurant to Rendezvous Bistro where we had eaten the night before. After we sat down, the front of the house Manager, Jeremy stopped by to welcome us and serve us up an appetizer of (Luxury) tempura fried shrimp with a sweet & spicy aioli. He let us know that Morgan from Rendezvous Bistro had called and asked that we be taken care of. That was incredibly kind and we really appreciated it. Chloe was our server and she was terrific. Besides the shrimp we also had two fantastic appetizers. We had raw hamachi with orange, radish and an unbelievably tasty yuzu-avocado mousse. We also had the cutest little ahi tuna tostadas which were served on crispy wonton shells along with fried shallots and avocado and wasabi micro greens. For dinner we both chose the ramen. I went with the pork belly in a tonkotsu broth while my wife had the vegan soba in a red miso-sunflower broth. The ingredients in the soup were terrific but we both agreed that the broth was just ok. Regardless the overall meal was stellar, the service terrific, the prices were good and we will definitely dine here again the next time we make it to Jackson. I can't say enough good things about the three appetizers that we had and while I would not order the ramen again I did not feel disappointed, just not "wowed" as I was with the other dishes. Highly recommend The Kitchen to anyone going to Jackson.

Sunny L.

Yelp
Loved it! It was just so delicious. We started with cocktails followed by appetizers- Pork Belly Bao Bund & perfectly seasoned Kitchen Salad. As for the main menu, Short Rib Ramen for the hubby & SRK Kurobuta Pork Short Rib for me. Oh it just melted in my mouth. Their interpretation of Asian fusion was very well executed. Modern & refined decor, casual ambiance, efficient wait staff. It was a great way of enjoying dinner after a day of skiing. We will return!

D H.

Yelp
The best thing going for The Kitchen is the location and ambiance. One star for each. The service was not worth the recommended 20-25% tip. I was very generous at 15%. We ordered beverages and an appetizer within two minutes of sitting down. The appetizer took 15-20 minutes. I was very hungry after a long day and would've been satisfied with a very mediocre meal, this wasn't even mediocre. The seafood was no good, it came with brussel sprouts and mushrooms. I am Not exaggerating by any means, there might have been one whole brussel in the dish as it was broken apart and just pathetic looking. To top that off, got sick off the seafood. Burger was in no way wagyu, the fries were good.

Tim G.

Yelp
Great restaurant. Great service, dishes were delicious, drinks and wine list was great. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits.

Matthew H.

Yelp
My wife, in-laws and myself went to eat here yesterday and left with mixed feelings. Long story short: we all agreed the food was good, but definitely not worth the price - especially with small portion sizes. What we ate: Luxury shrimp, vegan ramen, halibut trio, and New Zealand red deer. The vegan ramen was a little bland, the rest of the dishes were tasty but not at all filling because of how little food you get. Previously, we tried the diver scallops and kitchen burger. Both dishes were good, not great. Unfortunately the best part of the experience was dessert. We got the mango sorbet, and chocolate chip cookie skillet. Finally, decent portion sizes! I really want to reiterate: the prices are high considering what you get. That's the main driver behind the 3 star review. You're going to spend a lot of money and in all likelihood, still walk away hungry.

Mark C.

Yelp
Good place. We sat outside and had a nice meal. The service was just a bit off and the patio was a tad chaotic, but not a huge deal. The trout was really, really good.

Z M.

Yelp
First time Skiing in JacksonHole. I felt in love with this spot the first night. The best part of the sinning in experience is to see the crew processing your food. PS. Chef deserves much better lighting than that... 3500K & 4000K please.
