First time at this venue. Loved it! Easy to get to, plenty of parking ($5), and felt safe there. The auditorium has excellent acoustics and comfortable seats. The show was a tribute to Aretha Franklin with the New Haven symphony orchestra and two great singers. Tickets were a gift, so, not sure the cost. Would definitely go there again.

So graduation season was upon us and this particular day was not so different. So many graduates on this day, it was difficult to find parking, however I still got through and when inside, I forgot how huge the pace was. Which could've helped when there was just no more seating to be had, and if only I remembered that there was an upper level I probably could have found seating,.. either way I guess we all just wanted to be closer to the graduates on their way in and also crossing the stage. It was standing room only when it came to the entrance of the graduates. All was well that ended well, we all had a great time in celebration of all their achievements.

A wonderful theater located in the Biggest city in Connecticut. We are able to see the Symphony, major music acts and other shows. The seats are comfortable and there truly isn’t a bad seat in the house.

Tonight's Greater Bridgeport Symphony program was wonderful!! The acoustics in the Klein Auditorium were great, the employees were helpful, and even though we sat in the last row in the orchestra section our seats provided a great view.

Always enjoy the Bridgeport symphony. They are making some upgrades to it so we will see what it looks like

Exiting the parking lot at the end of the event took longer than usual because the side gate was not opened. Everyone was directed to one exit which caused a crawling traffic jam. Maybe open the side gate next time.

Enjoyed my experience here, except the auditorium area is a tad crowded and the acoustics aren’t the best. However, the seating is comfortable and the design and exterior of the auditorium felt upscale.

Yelp
The Klein Memorial Auditorium is a 1,447-seat performing arts center that serves as a hub for Bridgeport and surrounding communities. Built in 1940, it is one of only 7 Broadway-sized stages remaining in Connecticut. What a great time my grandmother and I had at the Will Downing Show. The show was fantastic with old school songs, the music sounded great, and the band really provided the guest a great show. The show was about two hours and Will Downing through down. He stills sings amazingly and he really put on good show.

Yelp
Arrived and there was no handicap entrance. It was hard for many to navigate the many steps. Once inside, our tickets were scanned, not given directions on our seat location but we were able to easily find them The concert was absolutely amazing. Hope this venue has more great events in the future

Yelp
First-rate auditorium. Great sound system. Nearby parking. Worth the effort if their event is of interest.

Yelp
I came here for a wonderful orchestral concert for the GCTYO, a wonderful local organization. The concert was wonderful and the space was beautiful. The concession area had a nice selection of beverages and snacks at intermission and staff was friendly. My only complaint was during the performance it was so incredibly hot that I was sweating in my short sleeved dress. I downed an entire bottle of water during intermission to prevent dehydration from the heat and wished had bought a second!

Yelp
It's such a great venue, I've been going there all my life, since some amazing shows no matter where you sit with Rippy down below, or up above, and the acoustics is great as well

Yelp
What a gem. Bridgeport has an amazing auditorium which if situated in any other town or city in Fairfield County people would be raving about how wonderful this place is. Bridgeport has a first class theater but people would rather regulate it to some second class place. It is important for the local community to support places like this. Keep up the great work and my hope for you is that corporate sponsorship follows to ensure this is never lost.

Yelp
Staff very friendly and helpful, not a bad seat in the house. Perfect little find for comedy's & plays. Close to restaurants & highway! Thanks for the hospitality

Yelp
The physical theater is nothing special, its just a theater located in an urban area, but what makes The Klein special is the acts that they bring in. These are first rate concerts coming through a relatively small market (relative to NYC) and its much easier to get better (closer) tickets for events here. There also seems to be a really great and hard working community of people supporting this theater, and I really enjoyed the trip up here.

Yelp
I attended my first performance at the Klein last night and was very impressed with both the venue and how well it was run. Parking was easy to navigate, and with the amount of security guards and parking attendants, it was worth the extra $5. The venue is right across the street from the parking lot, and there was staff at the edge of the lot checking IDs and giving out wristbands for alcohol purchases, making it easy to get a beer right away once we got inside. My tickets were will call, and the ticket lines were so organized that I didn't even have to wait for them. The venue itself was very nice inside. It was clean, there were multiple stations for beer, wine, and concessions, and there was not a bad seat in the house. The auditorium feels a little like a nicer high school auditorium or college theater, but that's not a bad thing. Sound quality was very good, you could see the stage from anywhere in the auditorium, and the seats were roomy enough so we didn't feel cramped. We saw Neutral Milk Hotel, who were fantastic, and it was a great time. If an artist or show I'm interested in seeing comes through here again, I'd be happy to come back.

Yelp
As far as venues go, I'm always partial to the standing room only GA bar kind of feel. (9:30 club, Rams Head Live to name a few) However, for a seated theater-style venue I really liked the overall feel of The Klein. The stage is big, the ceilings are tall, and it has a warm and cozy atmosphere. I saw Umphrey's McGee here last night and it was absolutely nuts! Parking was easy and safe (right across the street for $5). Will Call was quick and painless...no lines, no hassle. And everybody working here was really friendly and helpful for the most part. The only gripes I have with this place were the sound system and the bar. The sound system was below par as far as what I'm used to. Not that it was bad, but it seemed to be missing something. Could have been attributed to my seat's location, but I don't know. As for the bar, it is tiny and its all the way in the basement. This is a minor complaint as I know its probably the best they could do with the space. All I advise is that you shouldn't wait until a set break to get drinks...you will be waiting for a lonnnnnnng time. Overall, cool little venue that books great gigs. If I were up in the area more I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Oh and I noticed security is very lenient for the most part, so do with that as you will ;)

Yelp
not much to brag about in Bridgeport but this place certainly is a diamond in the rough. parking was a non-issue as security patrolled the lot across the street ($5 charge, well worth it). inside i did not expect it to be an all-sit down venue but it was still pretty cool. saw Mariachi El Bronx there, who were supporting Slightly Stoopid, who I didn't stick around to see. overall, this was a pretty neat place to see a show.

Yelp
Attended a Symphony this past weekend with my wife. Very organized and friendly people. The Symphony was great.

Yelp
The Klein rocks! The folks from the Fairfield Theater Company are booking great shows into The Klein. The facility is first rate, with plenty of free, secure parking in their parking lot directly across the street. Saw The Fab Faux there a couple of months ago, great show. What a treasure The Klein is.

Yelp
We went to SPANK tonight at the Klein Memorial in Bridgeport,Ct tonight. We were looking for a fun night out. Out of 8 of us four left early, we could not understand what was being said. The acoustics were very bad and we have been to High School plays better produced. We will never go back to the Klein again, sorry Bridgeport.
