The Knot Yokohama (Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Yokohama’s Knot is a 2017 boutique-hotel reimagining of the historic Yokohama Kokusai Hotel, sleekly furnished, promising a chic home base for travelers who make the short trip down from Tokyo. Dusky guest rooms with handsome wooden accents feature bespoke furnishings designed in collaboration with Japan’s Acme interior decor firm. These suites are available in a relatively extensive variety of sizes, whatever the traveler’s needs, and feature all the expected comforts and amenities. Laundry and vending machines are available at all hours on the fourth floor, as is a dedicated smoking room on the third. The Knot’s restaurant is Panwok, its name perhaps telegraphing its forays into both Western and Eastern cuisines." - Tablet Hotels

Incredible value for the location. You truly can’t beat it that close to the station! Perfectly adequate room even by western standards, although the bathroom left a bit to be desired - esp the lack of ventilation. But I’d stay again anytime.

Really vintage hotel with a beautiful bar on the ground floor. The 2nd floor lobby is really charming, too. I really enjoyed the aesthetics. However, the roofs were super-tiny. And the bathroom is very similar to the cabin bathroom for a commercial air plane. Except this bathroom includes a tiny shower. Here’s the wild thing. The hand sink knobs for hot and cold are the same for the shower! Never seen that before in my life. So when you get in the shower you reach over to the hand sink to turn it on. Haha! The room has a window that opens to the balcony, but you have to be really thin to squeeze through the opening to actually access the balcony. The biggest shortcoming with the room and my main complaint, is that there is no air conditioning. So my advice is do not stay here in the summer.

Super cute. On the first floor. And the front desk. But the room 😭 smaller than a cruise ship room, no ac. They tell you to open the windows even when it’s raining if you’re hot. Only heat in the room. You are given a real key that has to be returned to the desk every time you leave the building. Overall I wouldn’t have wanted to stay here had the Expedia ad said anything about no ac. 16 days and 5 stays and this is by far least experience. I didn’t feel it was dirty our room was clean. But for $90 a night the airbnbs and business hotels are by far better.

I've booked this hotel in March 2025 for a week. The hotel in itself is old, the carpet smells old, the furnitures are old. I've booked the large double room for a week and my stay was not worth the money I've spent. The carpet is my room had multiple large black and white spills. The bathroom faucet was cracked. Also I've opted for less cleaning, and the staff gave me two sets of pyjamas, towels, and slippers everyday for 7 days. I had accumulated a huge pile of them by the end of my stay. The silver lining was that the staff was really helpful. they carried my luggage to my room and accepted my parcel deliveries. The hotel isn't close enough to the station (it looks like it is). The streets around the hotel are very lively with loads of izakaya and one karaoke place , if that's what you like. Would not go again.

I've stayed at The Knot Yokohama four times now, it's a wonderful little 'artsy' hotel with a lot of character. It's a great location just a few blocks from the train station. The bar is excellent with a professional bartender that really knows what he is doing. My only complaint is that the rooms are very small, even by Japanese standards.

Google
Great location so close to shops and eating area. We had a great time walking around exploring the little streets. Not close to the popular sight seeing things BUT it’s a short ride away on train. Loved the service by the older gentleman’s. The room was big enough for the two of us.

Google
Loved my stay at the Knot hotel, the staff were so nice at check in (two ladies and a gentleman) the younger staff checked me in, she was warm, cheerful(a good image for the hotel) the room was cozy and comfy. Excellent location, loved all the amenities, the welcome drink, the only problem was that it was too hot, i think they have turned off the air con because of the weather.

Google
Absolutely dirties and stuffiest hotel of my entire trip. the dirtiest hotel of my entire Japan trip (this hotel is the 6th hotel I stayed in). The room is extremely stuffy with zero air circulation, and the bathroom doesn’t even have a fan! The carpet is covered with lots of stains, and the bathroom is the tiniest I’ve seen among all the 3-star hotels I stayed at in Japan on this trip. Very disappointing.

Yelp
Staff understands English just for check in. They were NOT helpful for directions and help around Tokyo. :( Room size: 1. 12m2 Double room for two (the exact same double room for 1) is significantly smaller than the twin for two at 1000 yen more per night. 3 of our 4 suitcases did NOT fit under the bed. My wife and I played Tetris with suitcases just to get dressed in the morning. :( Highly recommend twin for two. If my wife and I return to this hotel, it's the twin for two or we are looking for another hotel. The cover to the bed was dusty and room was a little musty. They provide a bottle of air freshener. Location 4: easy access to restaurants and bars. Walking back with luggage to Yokohama station wasn't.

Yelp
A welcome drink was served at the bar. The room looked good, but the bed was incredibly dusty. Unfortunately, could not sleep well by coughing. Hoping the hotel improves its operations.

Yelp
A few hundred meters away from Yokohama station along the main road. Clean rooms with beds designed higher than usual to accommodate underneath luggages for storage. Average in size or usual for Japanese hotels.
