The Best Breakfast Tacos and Burritos in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"Baton-Rouge based Kolache Kitchen now has two locations in New Orleans, Uptown and in the CBD. And while it’s of course known for its Texan-friendly, sweet and savory kolaches, it’s almost as loved for breakfast tacos. Open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m." - Clair Lorell

Kolache Kitchen Opening Second Restaurant in the CBD | Eater New Orleans

"A Baton Rouge–based bakery is opening a second New Orleans location in the CBD, bringing the pillowy, stuffed Czech pastries that have become ubiquitous in Texas to the EZ Park building at 310 Carondelet Street. Like the Uptown outpost, the CBD spot will serve sweet and savory kolaches, breakfast and lunch tacos, and a Cuban-like sandwich, but it will add a few healthier options that use egg whites and more vegetables. Open only for breakfast and lunch, the location is intended as a grab-and-go spot catering to office workers in the surrounding neighborhood; owner Will Edwards expects it to open at the end of 2019 or in early 2020." - Clair Lorell

Great food! It’s definitely a quick pick up food spot, no places to sit down. But the food is worth it! They close at 2pm weekdays and tend to run out of menu options throughout the day, so if you are going to grab lunch order in advance!

Ate two of the breakfast tacos, super flavorful-potatoe n egg and sausage n egg-loved them! My co- workers had the egg n sausage Kolaches-yummy, yummy. Great flavors, soft n sweet bread. They have the friendliest staff. Big thumbs up for this place. And I had to try lunch too. Chicken tacos- perfection. Shredded chicken, season with this fab cream sauce and sprinkle of finely chopped green pepper, onion and tomatoe on corn tortillas. Best tacos I have had in a long time!

Came here for a quick breakfast on the way to an event and was sadly not impressed. While they have a large menu with lots of items the staff was rude and the food so so. Not a great experience or a place I'd return to.

I would probably give 3.5 stars if that was an option, but "it's ok" is probably accurate. The rancharo was pretty good, my kolache was ok but my coworker really didn't like theirs. The Vietnamese iced coffee wasn't good... I wonder if there was supposed to be half the liquid form the sugary milk pitcher and half iced coffee? I only got sugary milk pitcher.

Great food! Perfect for grab and go as there are no places to sit down. But the food is totally worth it! Definitely give them a try - yummy and very reasonable prices.

Had the spicy boudin and cheese Kolache and it was tasty. Looks like a pretty extensive menu.. Taking off one star for the fact it was not warm.

Ordered delivery for breakfast. Got the frozen coffee with caramel which wasn’t frozen by the time it arrived, but was still tasty. Got three breakfast tacos as well, two bacon and one chorizo. Both varieties were good. Prices were fair. All in all I would definitely order from them again.

Stopped for breakfast on our way out of NOLA. Ordered kolaches which were mainly bread. Got the classic and spicy. Neither were marked in any way so the kids ended up with spicy. It was like a pencil of sausage inside a huge amount of bread. Disappointing. The coffee was bitter. No matter how much sweetener I added I couldn’t drink it. Overly priced food/drinks. Not to mention the staff being rude & obviously not caring. Sadly we won’t visit back here.
