The staff has a Trader Joe’s vibe: ready to drop everything to make your day better. The new sushi chef is a real find—the sushi is fresh, delicious and cheaper than you’d expect. And I’m a big fan of the generous free tastes at the counter. Just a big fan of KMP, period.

This review is for KOSHER travelers only. Very good variety of groceries in general. Hope the store can be prepared For Shabbat since Thursday. This is because i was in the store on Thursday and there wasn’t enough fresh bread and deli, not even mention salads because I couldn’t find any. The Personal told us that bread for Shabbat was going to be delivered on Friday so as a traveler, in many occasions we are short of time and it’s difficult to prepare Shabbat on your vacation on Friday . The Personal was very kind very good service in general .

The Kosher Marketplace is an extension of one of the greatest persons that has affected my life. A warm family oriented blessed environment.The workers painstakingly fulfill all the very strict obligations with a cheerful attitude. New Yorkers should be very grateful to shop at the KMP and to be aware that the employees are working for the best owner one can work for. I know...I worked there many years and felt very blessed.

I can't say enough about the exceptional experiences I've had at The Kosher Marketplace. I purchased a 3 bone rib roast earlier in the week and Herman was wonderful in assisting me through the process. The selection of fresh meats is unparalleled & it's evident that the store takes great care in sourcing the finest cuts! The store is truly a haven for those who appreciate premium quality & I can honestly give them 5 stars without hesitation!

Fantastic service. Came just before Shabbos to pick up a Challah. They had already closed for the afternoon but a very friendly worker opened the doors for me and sold me the last remaining Challah rolls. So thankful for this kind gesture. Highly recommend.

I couldn't get over how good the food was here. There was a great selection and I'm never cooking for the holidays again. To top it all off it's organic, kosher and they give you keto choices as well. The sticky chicken was better then what I can make at home and my kids LOVED the panko crusted chicken fingers. And there soon to be delivery near me in N Jersey which makes it convenient too. I'll be ordering from here again and again.

Watch out for "corn sweetener" which is actually corn syrup in their so-called freshly made offerings! Corn syrup is known to be one of the worst, most unhealthy ingredients which contrasts KMP's purported use of "healthy, fresh ingredients" as they claim in their website. Also, if you're from out of town, be aware that their charge for a bag is THIRTY FIVE CENTS. And they don't tell you that in advance (I know most places charge for paper and plastic bags approx $0.15).Cashiers should be required to state the price when they ask "do you want a bag?" Agree with other reviews that it's over-priced but they're able to gouge due to limited comparable options. On a positive note, the guys behind the deli counter are always nice as is the butcher. Can't say the same for the cashiers. If you can- go elsewhere.

Wonderful variety of hard-to-find items. Well worth the trip. Friendly, helpful staff.

As a lover of Kosher desserts, I was delighted by the offerings. They have Meltaway Cake, Elephant Ears, Babka, and Baby Sized Babka, Rugelach, and Sponge Cake!!!

Interesting, though small grocery. They do have a very unexpectedly large section of ready to eat foods, Asian noodles, Stir Fry, Sandwiches, Kosher, Rotisserie Chicken, etc. The deli is good to check out also.

This place is such a find!!! All the food in the entire store is kosher. It gets crowed, especially on the evening rush between 5-7pm. But its worth slipping around rushing shoppers in the isles. They make a lot of premade food, so its a good place to go if you do not cook. On our last visit we tried the low-calorie potato salad. It was delish. I didn't even notice it was low calorie. Will get again. They also have a low-sugar carrot salad. The carrots are shredded and little raisins can be found throughout. Tastes sweet but has no added sugars. Also tried the couscous. This was the star of the show. Yes, it has some carbs, but totally worth. Will be back again, Kosher Marketplace!

for the first time in my whole adult life making the holidays, i needed to order most of the food; personal family issues prevented me from doing all the cooking that i usually do for pesach. i admit i was nervous- i am not a fan of take in food in general. but we were so pleasantly surprised and relieved at how good the food was, how well it was packaged, and how fairly it was priced. not cheap- but fair. we ordered several kugels- matzah, spinach mushroom, and a sweet potato soufflé that was so delicious. we also had chicken fingers for the kids, and haroset, and chopped liver, and smoked whitefish salad. we wouldnt hesitate to recommend the kosher marketplace to anyone and i will be ordering from them again for rosh hashana, hanukah, and other holidays where the get togethers necessitate lots of different dishes. great job kosher marketplace!!!!

I got some very expensive fish, balsamic salmon. About 10 to 12 hours after eating it, I woke with terrible nausea and wooziness. I didn't vomit (it would've been better if I had). I immediately took some ginger, which relieved the pressure and nausea a little. I had lots of hypersalivation and burping. I could smell the salmon. I'm still feeling sick today. I also bought some chopped liver, also ridiculously expensive, which is sweet and mealy. It doesn't seem to be spoiled, but I don't intend to eat it.

Great market for kosher and great quality food, but very overpriced. It is very clean and you can find a great range of organic food too. You can find Asian food too. I recommend this place if you have a good budget.

I shop here because their prepared foods are delicious (the soups like like my mom made them), and because I trust the butcher. A few years ago, the butcher even taught me how to cook a turkey. I still follow her advice. The rotisserie chickens are also very tasty (when I don't want to cook), and my kids grew up on them.

I have to say I had just a phenomenal meal for Rosh Hashanah. In fact my whole family loved the food. We had brisket which was soft, delicious & rich with gravy, a rack of veal which was incredibly flavorful & numerous yummy sides. Fresh meats we took were also fantastic. Food is always wonderful and their customer service is warm & helpful. Store is always spotlessly clean too!

Very pricey supermarket, a Bamba bag that costs $1 at Trader Joe's is $6 at the kosher supermarket place (and it's not even the original Bamba). This is just one mere example. I understand kosher places are more expensive, but not to this extent. I couldn't really find 'rare' products that I can't get anywhere else. I am simply not going to go back there.

I got sick after trying their "homemade" soup. Grossfully overpriced. Found the owner to be pretty unpleasant in previous interaction. From now on will get food somewhere else!!

This place is exactly what I've been looking for! It has so many kosher meat options I know I'll be able to find whatever I need!

Delicious prepared food. My favorites are, ribs with hoisin sauce and turkey meatballs with the sweet sauce. Very nice and helpful staff especially Fani. I highly recommend this place!

The KMP is the best place to buy high quality, glatt kosher meals and groceries! I have been shopping here for 19 years, and it is clean and well-maintained, and the owner and manager are very helpful and accommodating. I shop here every week, and it is great place to buy prepared food for weekday lunches and dinners and for Shabbos and holidays. It is a great place to shop for delicious, prepared, kosher meals, raw meat or poultry, dairy products, and kosher, packaged food. They also offer many healthy vegetable sides dishes, soups, entrees, raw, cut up vegetables as well as organic food which I appreciate. My family and I love their prepared food especially the chicken vegetable soup, "chicken in the pot" soup, brisket, deli meat, spicy meatballs, vegan eggplant rollatini, sweet and sour turkey meatballs, chicken fingers, beef lasagna, chicken marsala, chicken panzanella, steak, turkey wrap, Israeli couscous, kugels, apple cake, Chanukkah donuts, and desserts. I love their hummus! They sell a variety of fresh, homemade hummus that they make, and it definitely tastes better than any hummus that I have ever eaten. I have also ordered holiday meals here for Rosh Hashanah and Passover. The staff was helpful and accommodating and the food was delicious. My family loved it! The KMP is the best place to shop for Passover food in NY. They have a large selection of kosher for Passover food, and I stock up on groceries and prepared Passover food here every year. Two of my relatives moved out of the NY area and miss the KMP food so much that they ask me to bring food for them from KMP when I visit them out of state. I have been to many kosher markets and restaurants in the NY/NJ metro area and this one is by far the best!

Absolutely amazing store and you don't have to keep Kosher to enjoy the food! Exceptional prepared food - great customer service. Great selection of all kinds of products. Store is clean and everything is clearly marked and labeled so you can find what you need. Whether it's soup, roasted chicken, brisket, salad, or bread, they have it and it's delicious!

The KMP makes some of the most delicious Kosher food I have ever eaten. Everything I have tasted at the KMP has so much flavor - even things as classic as egg salad and hummus are made with their own original and unique recipes. My favorites are the homemade guacamole and homemade hummus. In addition to everything being delicious, I so appreciate how much thought the staff puts into sourcing their meats, poultry, fish and produce. They prioritize selling humanely- and sustainably-raised meat, poultry and fish, and using as much local, organic produce as possible. They even stock a significant amount of grocery items that are organic and non-GMO, and from companies committed to philanthropic, especially environmental, causes. Everyone I have interacted with here has been so nice, friendly and personally committed to making my shopping experience a positive one. Truly a family business that prioritizes customer satisfaction. I love shopping here and will continue to for years to come.

The prepared stuff is FRESH and really good. I have had roast beef and pastrami sandwiches and meat knishes.

I really love their gefilte fish. Everything is excellent. Vegetables are also a favorite. Overall excellent.

The food is fine, but the prices are insanely high (Kosher plus NYC rent). Much better food and prices to be had by ordering online at I&D Glatt. For a small delivery charge (which you more than make up with one meat item), they deliver everything right to your home. Highly recommend!

I'm not Kosher, but this gem of a store offers the most delicious pre-made dishes! Their paninis are awesome! The salads are fresh and a tastey meal in itself! Don't forget to try the pasta dishes too!! You cannot go wrong with ordering here on a daily basis! (Their food makes me wish I could celebrate the Jewish holidays just so I can place my orders for the family get togethers!)

It's expensive but it's Manhattan and so worth it. The BEST homemade chummus I've had in NY and their pesto is also a smart buy (you can put it on everything from pasta to chicken and more). All the prepared food is tasty including soups and their chicken nuggets and the rotisserie chicken is delicious!!

We have had numerous wonderful experiences interacting with The Kosher Marketplace. Most recently my family ordered food for a birthday dinner and everything was delicious and exquisitely presented. The order arrived just when they said it would and they called the next day to make sure that I was completely happy with everything. I thought that was really nice. They truly do a fantastic job!!

Overpriced and terrible service. The few times I have ventured in, I walked right out - it's hard to get the attention of the folks serving and it seems like the store is in a constant disarray, this could be because I would only go on Thursday or Friday. The highpoint is that their prepared foods are very good.

My daughter sent us almost $80.00 worth of Passover sweets. The cakes were so stale, as were the chocolates. The entire order had to be thrown out, what a sin. Because we live out of state, it would seem , that they send all the out of date , and stale items to Jewish persons that would not have the convenience of returning the items back to them. After we obtained these uneatable items, I canceled my main Passover order from them, I did not want to waste any more money. They should be ashamed of them selves . I did phone them and advise them that the items were stale. They did not offer any reason, nor did they offer to take them back and replace them with fresh items.

I need to amend my review.... I got a call from the owner after I posted my prior review. He was very apologetic and explained they were in the process of revising the catering menus so the staff was not well prepared to discuss things with me. He agreed that for what I got- I was probably charged incorrectly and gave me 50% credit to my account. He could not have been nice or more accommodating. It was never about the food- I felt it was tasty and of good fresh quality- He made it right and I really respect that from a business owner and will work with him again

I recently had the roasted butternut squash with cranberries and leeks. Such an amazing autumnal/winter dish. Sweet, caramelized, and excellent flavor. The southern salad was also great, with dried apricots, chicken cutlet, and red onions. Try it with the different dressings they offer at the register.

The theme for my daughter's bat mitzvah was DIY. Were were on a serious budget and anything I could do myself I did, any place I could save, I did. Unfortunatly, since we were holding the dinner at a conservative shul I could not bring in any food that was not kosher certified and since it was on a Saturday night it needed to be something that could be delivered on Friday before sunset. I looked around a bit and decided to order the meat platters, a platter of griled vegitable sandwiches for the vegetarians and green salad from Kosher Marketplace and then bought bags of chips from Costo. My husband placed the order and said that they were very helpful and promised to have the order delivered to the synagog by 3:00 on Friday. (It was not there at 3:00, because the guys went to the wrong door, but they did find the entrance by 3:05 - though not before I called Kosher Marketplace having a mini melt down). We checked the order when it arrived and were very pleased with the presentation and the amount of food that came. They gave us a variety of sides, plenty of bread, mustard, mayo, pickles, etc and I had to move the vegetable sandwhiches to the side because they looked so good that I was afraid that the meat eaters would start taking them and there would not be enough for the vegetarians. Everyone really enjoyed making their own sandwhiches and everything was delicious. The platter came with slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad and cucumber salad - all well received. We had so much left over that my son made sandwiches to take to friends at school on Monday and I took a full green salad to work. Everyone at work commented on how fresh the salad was (I didnt tell them that it was from Friday) and how great the Italian and the balsalmic dressings were. I expected to pay more for Kosher meat but I have to say that I really feel like it was a very good value for the amount and quality of the platters. I would use their catering service again.

Great selection. Prepared foods are amazing! The staff was exceptionally attentive to my order. We had a big family function and they were extremely helpful. They make everything - wings, paella, quinoa, hoisin-glazed beef ribs with scallions (yum!), sweet and sticky soy ginger chicken, Italian sausage meatball marinara. They use local and organic vegetables! All meat and poultry are from small family farms and grown humanely without use of antibiotics. And, all the fish is sustainably harvested from healthy schools! Will definitely come back!

Good place to order delivery for an medium sized event. The sides-especially the potato salad are heavy on the mayo and pretty fatty. Pickles were soggy and not good at all.

I don't keep kosher and I don't come here often, but when I happen to be in the neighborhood, I love to pop in for their delicious prepared foods. They have so many healthy, vegetarian, and wheat-free options I end up spending more than I mean to, which can happen pretty fast. That is my only complaint, but I realize that is normal for kosher food. Also, not sure if it's an Eastern European Jewish thing or what, but they also offer a lot of gluten-free foods, and I noticed that there are also entire gluten-free shops in this neighborhood and some religious parts of Brooklyn. I cannot complain. Yum!

I was at the kosher market place for the first time last week. It was a wonderful exp. From the moment i entered the place, I was greeted by someone, then periodically asked if i need assistance. I had so many questions, since i did not know their merchandise. Allen became like my personal shopper. He offered suggestions, assured me of the foods freshness etc... As a whole, it was a great exp. I will be going there weekly.

Never again and never forget - Kosher Marketplace is a scam. They do not publish their prices on line and will immediately charge your card without telling you the cost. They will not provide cost information unless you CALL and ask for it - and even then only AFTER they have charged your card! Expect to pay $50 for a pound of asparagus or chicken nuggets. In the past I got honest service - no longer. They reserve the right to inflate prices at their discretion and without informing their customers. I call fraud.

What more can I say about the Kosher Marketplace. The minute you walk in the smell of fantatsic prepared food is ovrwelming. The daily specials are incredible. It's a far cry from they first opened the location, where you could barely move down the aisle. Now it's very spacious and a lot more product is sold. Fish, Dairy, prepared food, desserts, The Catering they do is also fantastic. They also have take away food which is very fresh, and there meat and poultry section is fantatstic. Busies times are most of the day Thursday and Friday till the Sabbath. And for Glatt Kosher this place stands out as the best in the city. Parking is impossible, but they do deliver all around the 5 Boros and New Jersey and Westchester.

Great quality and service. While you are walking the aisles people pro actively ask if you need something. A rare occurrence today. The prices are high but you get great quality.

Good array of Passover (and other kosher) foods. Good service. Narrow aisles, so often crowded, but if you need it, they probably have it.

The sufganyiot is delicious. The latkes were awful. All of them almost raw in the middle. And the prices for most everything are the highest around. Whenever you ask to put in an order, they change the "rules". Live nearby and don't feel a need to go back after four or five times. C'est la vie.

This is a boutique kosher food shopping experience. The food is all amazingly delicious, packaging is beautiful. There are specials throughout the week, and although the prices are not "discount", you will be hard pressed to find as good quality, delicious tasting food for any similar price anywhere else.

First and last time using this place. I spent $177! The Pastrami Sandwiches were so dry nobody could eat them. A $21 salad bowl for multiple people came without serving pieces. A platter for the sandwiches was extra, and although they swore up and down they'd provided plastic flatware - there were none - not even napkins. Everything was tasteless. Never again!

Very good food! Got a Sloppy Joe sandwich that was great. The take away food (pasta, egg-rolls etc.) was tasty as well. Friendly people with wide variety of food. Recommended!

The service is horrible and the management is rude. I had a horrible experience with a delivery order as they quoted me one price and ended up charging me twice the original amount despite no changes to the order. When I called to inquire about this, I was hung up on twice and not offered anything. Plus, the food is subpar and placing a simple order by phone took 20 minutes. Oh, it's also over priced. Stay away and I would give it a zero rating if possible.

Must give credit where credit is due: their Pesach food is delicious. My family ordered in a lot of food for our seders and other Pesach meals. It wasn't cheap, but we decided to go ahead anyway (especially since Pesach is never inexpensive, no matter what you do). Everything we ate -- literally everything -- was excellent. Chicken dishes, stuffed cabbage, side dishes, all terrific. And, also to give credit where credit is due, the people on the phone were super-nice. Kosher Marketplace was definitely the right choice.

I am only commenting here about one item -- the "Pulled BBQ Corned Beef Sandwich" It is pre-made, in the hot case, and is absolutely delicious. It probably weighed well over a pound, had a spicy BBQ sauce, and was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Beyond that, they have a very extensive selection of ready made dishes, meat, dairy, hot and cold, and seem to cater a lot to those in the neighborhood looking for convenience food.

Expensive, but the food is fresh and tasty. The caramel sufganiot (jelly donuts) are the best I've had: Not greasy, and not too sweet.

I have been shopping at this store for several years now and everything is absolutely first rate. I had homemade salmon patties this week (I just threw them in the broiler) and they were delicious. The prepared food is awesome and the selection, already enormous, just keeps getting better and better. The best shop of its type around, bar none.

The Kosher Marketplace is one of my favorite places to shop! The staff there is amazing and friendly. I have always been treated with respect. The variety of different foods they offer are unbelievable and one would not know that you are shopping a in a kosher food store! i always love seeing what the specials of the day are and trying something new
