The KTM Kitchen - Review - The Loop - Chicago - The Infatuation

"The KTM Kitchen in the Loop focuses on dishes you might find in Kathmandu. The menu covers Indian, Nepali, Tibetan, and Kathmandu’s other local influences, with dishes like bhatti ko chowmein, momos, and a variety of curries. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - John Ringor

I had a fantastic dining experience at The KTM Kitchen in downtown Chicago! This hidden gem serves up some of the most flavorful and authentic Nepali and Indian cuisine. From the moment I walked in, the place felt warm and welcoming. The restaurant is spotless and well-kept, which speaks volumes about the care they put into every aspect of their business. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Most importantly the food was Absolutely delicious! Each dish was perfectly spiced, beautifully presented, and bursting with rich, bold flavors. Our favorite MoMo (Nepali dumplings) were a standout—fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. Highly recommend this place if you're looking some delicious Nepali and Indian food.

If you're craving a taste of Nepal that takes your palate on a flavorful journey through the mountains and valleys, this combination of dishes—Momo, Chowmein, Lamb Chop, and Mustang Aloo—is a true celebration of Himalayan soul food.

We are visiting from out of town and we were looking for a place near the Cadillac Palace Theatre. KTM was the best, hands down. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the Biryani, my mom got the chicken sekuwa with an order of basmati rice, we shared some garlic naan and an order of the samosas. Man. I am full and insanely content. Seriously. Go. Eat. Support!!

I was happy to come across this relatively newly opened Nepalese restaurant in the city. The place definitely delivered to my expectations as the food and service was top notch. The chicken momo and lamb biryani were delicious and satisfied my south Asian palate. Will recommend the place and looking forward to visiting it more often.

I am a Nepali by birth and living in the US for 32 years. Nepal is diverse in its landscape and culture, so is its cuisine. The KTM Kitchen is recreating the same diverse and popular Nepalese cuisine in Chicago and surroundings in Illinois. The food items showcased in the kitchen are all popular Nepali dishes prepared in the same way as in Nepal using the same traditional herbs, spices, and ingredients and most importantly by the Nepali natives. "Momo," is a dumpling dish very common in Nepal and I loved this dish with three varieties (steamed, fried, and soup) served in this restaurant with all tasty fresh sauces. "Kathmandu Aaloo" is another my favorite dish slightly fried boiled potatoes and garnished with varieties of herbs and spices. In my opinion, KTM kitchen brought the "Taste of Nepal" to greater Chicago in Illinois and the Mid-west.

New my go to go Nepalese and Indians cuisine. The restaurant is very clean and the employees were nice and helpful. I ordered chicken lollipop and chicken momo. Both were excellent. It's walking distance from my office. I don't need to wait for a long time to got my food since I don't have much time for lunch. Will be back soon.

Nice new addition to South Asian cuisine restaurants in the loop. We had a nice time. The grilled tandoori paneer was amazing. We also got the samosa Chaat that was excellent. The lighting is a little too bright but service and experience was great overall.

Have been looking forward for this place to open up, and I’m happy I had the chance to try them on their second day! Samosas were seasoned amazingly inside with a flakey pastry outside. Both sauces were delicious, but I enjoyed the red one much more. The chicken choyela had the perfect spice and were super tender! The puffed rice and cracker offered good balance with a sweet nuttiness. Looking forward to coming back and trying more.
