We had a great experience at The Lakehouse. We started with the mozzarella sticks and they were seriously some of the best we have ever had. They were super crispy on the outside and perfectly gooey inside. For the main course, I had the buffalo chicken sandwich which was delicious and had just the right amount of kick. My partner ordered a shrimp taco and a chicken taco and both were fresh and flavorful. Our waitress Renee really made the visit special. She was super bubbly, had great food recommendations, and you could tell she was working hard to make sure everyone had a good time. The ambiance here is very chill and relaxed. If you sit outside, you get a nice view of the lake which makes the whole experience even better. We will definitely be back. It is a great spot by the water with awesome service and tasty food.

5 Stars - A Hidden Gem on Eagle Mountain Lake! I’m so excited to have discovered Eagle Mountain Lake—and The Lakehouse Restaurant made it even better! The food was amazing and the hospitality was just as great. We came for the view and stayed for the mozzarella sticks (seriously, nothing like them!) and the jalapeño burger—wow!! It’s awesome to have a place like this that serves great food right on the lake, year-round. Don’t miss happy hour either—the beer was the perfect afternoon refresh! Can’t wait to come back again and again!

Went for the fish(cod) wasn't a fan. Loved the cole slaw was the best I had. Burgers are really good there. Fries are crispy but soft so good. Onion rings were good too. Loved that you can sit outside.

I visited the Lake House Restaurant on Eagle Mountain Lake for a late lunch and really enjoyed the setting. The atmosphere is warm and lodge-like, with lots of wood, a fireplace, and a laid-back, saloon-style vibe. There’s both a downstairs patio right on the lake and a smaller upstairs one—perfect for nice weather. You can tell it’s a lively spot in the evenings, with dollar bills on the wall, beer tap handles hanging from the ceiling, and a bar area that includes a pool table, couches, and seating that feels like a cozy hangout. The place is definitely family-friendly, with the main dining area separated from the bar. The service was great— my server was attentive and friendly, even though she forgot the silverware and napkin until it was a little late. I ordered the quesadilla because it was Cajun chicken had corn and beans inside something more than the usual quesadilla 😁 however I was personally disappointed—it lacked grill marks and texture, almost like it was microwaved or cooked on very low heat. It reminded me more of a soft burrito than a crisp quesadilla. That said, the menu had a solid selection, and they offer cocktails, beer, and likely wine. They have drink specials as well. I was hoping to try their daily soup, but was told they stopped serving soup a while ago, even though it’s still listed on the menu. Excellent prices by the way. All in all, a great place for the view, a casual meal, and a relaxed vibe. Would definitely return for the atmosphere and service— i’ll even order the quesadilla. I will just make sure to say I like it a bit crispy.

Such an amazing place to go eat and look at the beautiful view I love it here ! And the wings that I had were amazing alongside the delicious onion rings ! 😋 the service is amazing the waiters are super friendly! 💓 would definitely keep on coming back !

Google
It was a good experience. We went on trivia night so it was very loud and lot's going on. The wings were pretty good (Thai something) and the burger was fine. They had a lot of drinks coming out so I think we need to come try their happy hour!

Google
FINALLY an owner that seems to have found the magic for this place!!! Too many have come in, over priced, under-delivered on all fronts and failed. Got to enjoy this place on a Saturday afternoon and the ONE comment that could be made better would be staffing. Had to flag down a bartender while sitting at the bar for 5-10 minutes but...once we got their full attention, it was great!!! Much success for this new restaurant and I will be back!!!

Google
The food was pretty good! The whole family went and we had a great time. They have 2 pool tables that shoot pretty decent. The kids loved their food. It was just a cool little hang out spot right by my house. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is a very cool dive bar/restaurant. The service was just okay but you can't beat the prices. 1.99 for a beer is unheard of these days and a $7 old fashioned in DFW is basically extinct but you can find that here. I had the shrimp tacos and I found them to be superb (5/5). My wife had the fish sandwich and again, it was superb (5/5). We had a group of 10 and every single person seemed to enjoy their meal. We will be back!

Yelp
The Lakehouse in Fort Worth has such a good vibe. It is super chill, casual, and just a fun spot to hang out. The service was awesome too, really friendly and on top of everything without feeling rushed. We tried the fried cheese and it might honestly be the best I have ever had. Perfectly crispy outside and melty inside, just crazy good. I had a grilled shrimp taco and a buffalo chicken taco and both were full of flavor and super fresh. It is the kind of place you want to kick back, have a drink, and stay a while. Definitely will be coming back.

Yelp
First visit here. Atmosphere was nice. Lake views. Beer here is icy cold. ( That's a plus. ) Burgers are just average in our opinion. Onion rings are really good. Desert cakes are very good. Servers are friendly, but busy. A nice place to stop for a couple of cold beverages and snacks. Not really a place for a large dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
Visited with a group of 8 about 12:45 on a Saturday. The place was not very busy but the service was horrendously slow. Example: I ordered wings, 10 min later the waitress came to ask me if I wanted bone in or boneless. I expected my food in 10min. It took 25 min to get the first plate and 30min to get the last plate. I split 12 wings with a friend, got no extra plates. Had to ask and got 1 extra side salad plate. It's like they just don't care about service. Wings were very small, over cooked and dry. Fries not bad. Our friends had salads that looked good and I heard the burgers are good. So only 3 stars based on the wings (would have been a 2 if wings only) but the fries are good. Typical lake food, just average. If I lived on the lake and boated to this place a 4, If I drove it would be a 2. So 3 it is!

Yelp
In our group of 5, 4 of us were first timers at The Lakehouse. Since it was nearly 100 degrees we opted to be seated inside. Just so you know if you'd like to make a reservation in advance it must be made at least 2 weeks in advance with a minimum of 10 people. I arrived early to get on the waitlist so our wait was about 25 minutes on a busy Saturday afternoon. We tried the nachos, fish and chips, fried shrimp and chips and one grilled shrimp and chips. Our server informed us that if we ordered the fish and chips fried cod was our only option, no grilling and for grilled shrimp was available. We enjoyed everything but with the fish and shrimp plates we all commented on our teeny tiny little coleslaw servings. So tiny. We all pretty much agreed it was delicious but you are literally served a "sample" in a condiment cup. It isn't listed on the menu but they have delicious strawberry lemonade. In cooler weather I would love to go back and enjoy the lake view.

Yelp
It's a celebration and The Lakehouse is the perfect place to have a great time. As you walk in you are great to vibrant lights from the pool table and sounds of music from the outside patio. The vibes are what you after a busy work week
google avatar

Nicholas Z.

Yelp
They have really good burgers including their lake fire Jalapeño burger. I also love their nachos or loaded fries appetizers. You really can't go wrong with any of their menu items. I love the lake view and it's especially cool that they have live performances. The service is always great!
google avatar

Yelp
Lakehouse has a great atmosphere and delicious food. The beers are ice-cold, and the overall experience is excellent. I definitely recommend it!

Yelp
This place is right on the lake, hence the name. It has boat docks for people to get out and have lunch, but we went in there for dinner and came by car. It has a dive bar type feel, and really reasonable prices for food and drinks. I had a cocktail which was delicious, and my hubby had a lonestar. I got the fish sandwich which was so good, had lots of flavor the side of fries was good too. My husband had the fish tacos which he enjoyed. We ate inside but after, when the sun had gone down, we went and found a seat on the patio. It was busy so we were sat by the stairs furthest from the stage. A live band was playing, nice vibes but it was actually hard to hear them as the sound wasn't very loud. Our server was good but it did take forever to get our food and then later with the drinks too. If you're not in a rush and want to chill it's a cool place, I will come back and try something else.

Yelp
This is a nice, divey type of a bar with plenty of seating inside, as well as outside down by the water. Keeping with the theme, their menu has all of your usual bar-bite-foods. Think burgers, tacos, wings, and some fried appetizers. During the week, they have happy hour from 2pm-7pm Tues-Thurs, all day Monday, and 11am-7pm on Friday. Their signature cocktails cost only $4.99! My favorite is the Lake Water Refresher. It's not my usual food scene, but it's close to where I live, the staff is always friendly, and I love their onion rings.
google avatar

Shawn H.

Yelp
Great bar food, tons of TVs for whatever sport you're into, large, partially covered patio right on the water, and always friendly staff. Only downsides: parking can be a challenge, and while the service is super friendly, when they get busy, you tend to get overlooked. This is on our list of favorites for the fried mozzarella...it's a house speciality and sooooo good!

Yelp
I've been a customer here multiple times, but my recent visit was by far the worst and has made me reconsider returning. I arrived and requested a table for one on the patio. I was told there would be a 15-minute wait, which I was fine with. However, I watched a couple who arrived immediately after me be seated on the patio without delay, followed by a larger group who were also seated before me--despite my arriving first. Once I was finally seated, multiple servers walked past me without acknowledgment while promptly attending to guests who had been seated after me. After waiting for about 15-20 minutes, I had to flag down a server myself. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she was dismissive and passed me off to someone else. The server who eventually took my order repeated it incorrectly multiple times and failed to bring water until I asked again. What was most frustrating was being asked if I wanted my check while I was still eating and had a half-full drink on the table. It felt rushed, inattentive, and inconsiderate from start to finish. This level of service is completely unacceptable. Guests should be seated and served in the order they arrive, and no one should have to advocate for basic service. It's clear there are significant training and management gaps that need to be addressed. I hope leadership takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

Yelp
Not a bad thing to be said about this place! The Lakehouse had been on our list of places to check out and we just never made it to that side of town. There was a little bit of a wait for the patio, but that was to be expected in a Sunday afternoon, especially when it's one of the first weekends with great patio weather! We started off with 1/2 and 1/2 fried jalapeños and pickles- they arrived quickly and were piping hot, and the ranch is homemade I ordered the jalapeño burger with battered fries and my husband got the fish and chips.I don't know what kind of fun they use but holy $#!+, it's amazing! He loved his fish and chips/ onion rings... All of the food was so good, we were kicking ourselves for not checking this place out sooner. We were far too stuffed to try desert but we will be back!

Yelp
We've been longtime fans of The Lakehouse Restaurant since moving to Eagle Mountain Lake about 5 years ago, but it has truly become our go-to spot, ESPECIALLY since it came under new ownership last month. The new energy is nothing short of REMARKABLE. With a renewed focus on quality, speed, and atmosphere, this place was already a staple of the community, but it is quickly evolving into a LOCAL TREASURE that we now visit two to three times a week--and we're not alone. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with friendly faces, big smiles, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The new owners (Cody and Alison) are clearly pouring their hearts into this place, and it shows. They're the kind of salt-of-the-earth people who treat every guest like family, and their passion for great food and this community is infectious. The menu? Absolutely phenomenal. Whether you're craving a hearty burger, tacos, fish and chips, or something a little more adventurous, the kitchen consistently delivers dishes that rival any bar and grill or chain restaurant in the metroplex. Make sure to order the chips and queso with the meat added and/or the jalapeno sausage for appetizers! YOU'RE WELCOME in advance! What really sets The Lakehouse apart is the atmosphere. It's the perfect blend of laid-back and lively--ideal for a casual lunch, a cozy dinner, or a fun night out with friends. The patio is a dream on warm Texas evenings, and the staff always go the extra mile to make sure your experience is unforgettable. The live music is an added bonus, and yes, it's DOG friendly! If you haven't been since the change in ownership, do yourself a favor and stop by. The Lakehouse isn't just back--it's better than ever. See you there!

Yelp
Great stop on Eagle Mountain Lake Fort Worth. Calm, friendly place. Large areas to sit and lower balcony by boat marina and pool table room. All staff is extremely professional and friendly to everyone, strangers and/or regulars. Heck even the regulars are friendly and the vibes here with staff and clientele are 100% positive. Very fair pricing and a kick back place alone or for groups. Tried their blackened chicken tacos....WOW...everything super fresh and better than any local Taco establishment. Great all around tucked right off hwy so slow down so you don't miss it.
google avatar

Brad U.

Yelp
The food was okay. Our server was friendly and helpful. The menu is lacking. The prices seemed to be in line with like fair. The Resturant did not feel as clean as I prefer. This is an old building. The restrooms need a carpenter and a strong cleaning lady. If you are at the lake all of this may not matter if you are hungry. While the location is not billed as a sports bar it has that appeal. There are lots of screens playing a variety of sporting events. The variety was a highlight of the visit. Women's sports are not frequently featured. The restaurant had college Womens field hockey and La Cross on with the rest of the live sporting events. If you are looking for sports, a burger and you have cutoffs and flip flops on this might be your place to eat.

Yelp
The Lakehouse is definitely the place to go for good and affordable food as well as good vibes. We went on a Friday evening, and despite sitting outside, we didn't melt thanks to the shade and the many circulating fans. Of course there is also plenty of indoor seating if that's what you prefer. This place always has something going on, whether it's live music on the weekends or trivia during the week, check their calendar and come enjoy some good food or their happy hour, which is offered Monday-Friday. Is Brunch more your thing? They offer that too! The Lakehouse has become a favorite place for a night out with the kiddos since they enjoy the water, but it's also good for a date night and drinks. like I said, it's just good vibes. I can't recommend this place enough.

Chad O.

Yelp
Laid back lake side bar and restaurant with good burgers, cold drinks, and a good relaxed vibe. The chips and queso was a little too spicy for my daughters, although not very spicy and I personally thought was good, the rest of their meals were completely eaten (not common). Try the sweet potato fries. My wife likes to go back just for those delicious morsels.

Doug B.

Yelp
This is now the second time we have come to The Lakehouse only to have our order "lost". This time we waited an hour and half with a concession of a 20% discount only to still wait longer and finally just leave when no clue about the status of our order. Manager stopped us on the way out, took our information with a promise to make it right but again I guess our information was "lost" again.
google avatar

Tammie G.

Yelp
We decided to take a drive and check out the Lakehouse and we loved it. THe prices are very reasonable and the food very good. You need to know this is an old venue and it does need a lot of repairs (bathrooms and some flooring had major issues) but thats not why you come here. This is a place to come hang out with friends , relax by the lake, play a game of pool in the game room area. If you want fancy this is not your place. This is a great casual place to get good food, great service and stay awhile and enjoy friends and family. We will be back!!
google avatar

Todd H.

Yelp
I went here on a Saturday evening and it was a little loud, but certainly not obnoxiously so. Just warning those who want a "quiet place for conversation". This isn't it. Not a criticism, just letting you know it's a lively place with live music. I ordered the Lakehouse burger and it was delicious!! The meat tasted fresh, well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. The bun was very soft and fresh. The fries were well done and crisp. The service was just ok. In fairness, it was completely packed and it started raining, so several tables that were outside came inside, temporarily causing some adjustments from staff. Overall, it was a good and positive experience and I will definitely be back!!
google avatar

Kate D.

Yelp
We absolutely love this place! Go to spot for a great date night w amazing food!! We always get the chip & queso!!
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
LH Has gone down hill with reducing the French fries portions while overcooking them and still managing to come out cold. Jalapeño brioche buns coming out soft and soggy these days with the chicken being chewy and the burgers under weight. This place has its ups and downs and right now is a down.
google avatar

Lori S.

Yelp
Delicious Fish n Chips and fish tacos. The scenery of the lake was also beautiful!!! We sat on the outdoor patio. There is inside dining and patio. There is lights strung up outside for night time :-))
google avatar

Sean C.

Yelp
Great location overlooking the marina. Staff was super friendly, and the food was great. It's a great motorcycle ride if you're into that.
google avatar

Kelly H.

Yelp
Service was prompt and friendly. Menu variety is great, ordered fish & chips. Served hot & good portions not overly much. Emmerie was friendly, meet our needs & the wait staff was phonomenal, especilly since she was wearing an OU shirt. Lol.

Yelp
This was a great place to hang out and enjoy some life music and a drink or two. Relaxing environment and good food. What more could you want?
google avatar

Yelp
Great lake-side restaurant & bar! We took the family on a cold Saturday afternoon, so we didn't get to enjoy the cool waterfront patio but took advantage of the tall inside tables w/ a lake view. Little guy (4) loved the experience, and the teenager was pleased. Large, cool wooden bar seems like a good spot to take in a game. The burger & sandwich buns were unique & great. 5 - Chips, Queso, Salsa - excellent 5 - Jalapeño Burger 4 - Ojai Burger (Guac) 5 - Shrimp Po Boy 5 - Fries 5 - Service (Brook was great) 4 - Draft craft beer (Dadgum IPA only draft IPA option), Wine 4 - Atmosphere - it's what you'd expect / want for a lake bar/grill (restrooms labeled "Pissers" ) 3 - Bathrooms - meh... We'll be back! Current favorite lake-front option.

Yelp
One of our favorite places on any DFW lakes. They do have boat parking so if you're coming by boat or car they're worth checking out! The atmosphere is always very friendly and welcoming, the service has been great every time. Very much a bar and grill vibe, they have a few pool tables in the back and TVs all around the bar area. They have a great patio that overlooks the lake and they have an outdoor stage, we've enjoyed live music here several times. The food is always awesome and is consistent every time. We have chips and queso every time and it's always awesome! We've also enjoyed the Buffalo chicken salad, fish and chips, the lakeside & lake fire burgers. All of which we would order again. They just started serving brunch and were stoked to try that out. Highly recommend this place as I said it's one of our favorites & the view is amazing!
google avatar

Lela J.

Yelp
Haven't had anything here that wasn't good...but our favorite is blackened chicken salad (with balsamic vinaigrette)! Love the atmosphere, the food, and almost always the service is great. We sit at the bar because we're just two. But we love the outside during good weather. Live music every night but Monday I believe. We have only stayed late enough for a couple times. One of our favorite go to spots!

Jaclyn W.

Yelp
Waited 30 minutes for my first beer and hour and half for my second, after two hours still hadn't received my food and left! They have good food but tonight was the worst service I've ever had in my life!!!! Ridiculous
google avatar

Sharon W.

Yelp
The food is good. I can't say it's fantastic. However, if that food was brought out when it was hot, it could really be considered good. It's nice because The Lakehouse is right on the lake, so there's nice scenery. The wait staff is usually pretty friendly.
google avatar

Shauna O.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and I love the outdoor seating. The wings are so good and the staff is very accommodating.
google avatar

Ellie R.

Yelp
This place is awesome! We went for the first time and had a blast. The best part is the atmosphere, it's definitely a local type spot with both families dining and young couples having drinks at the bar. We ordered burgers and they were pretty good. It was the view and live music that made it a great night tho. Definitely recommend
google avatar

Gary T.

Yelp
This place rocks!!! Moved here a couple months ago and this is my go-to! Great service. Great food too!!! Great to go with my wife and sit at the bar, or to bring the family and sit at a table. Right on the water. Inside and outside seating. Seen it super busy and the owner come out and do work.
google avatar

Jeff K.

Yelp
We got lucky and found the last parking spot in the parking lot. This place was packed on a Friday night at 8pm. We didn't make reservations, but was able to get seated quickly, however we had to sit outside and didn't mind it due to the fact that we get the views and live music as well. it was still hot at around 8pm, but it honestly wasn't sweltering. they have fans blowing outside. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was that there were no people of color inside. Honestly, i think we were the only minority in the whole place. it was a sea of white people, inside and outside the restaurant. lol. i really don't think i've been to a place this crowded and not seen a single minority. Anyways, for food, we got the ojai burger and the fish and chips. Both items were very delicious and it didn't take too long for the waitress to bring our food. (even with a packed house.) Both entrees will come with fries, and i loved how crunchy they were. We also got margaritas to enjoy with our dinner. The service was quick and prompt. the waitress came by a few times to check in on us. The views were also spectacular, especially when the sun was coming down. The live music was also good, although a bit loud.
google avatar

Yuby A.

Yelp
Service was amazing! Our server, Maddi, had great personality, attentiveness, and friendliness and provided top notch service! The food was made to order and the atmosphere is very chill! I will definitely be back! Highly recommend if in the Azle, Lake Worth area!
google avatar

Joseph K.

Yelp
Burgers n fries kinda place. It's a bar with a deck on the marina. Looks like they have live music. Service was good for us.

Kassie D.

Yelp
Service was excellent, beautiful view. Great margarita! Fun atmosphere. Good food. Can't wait to go back
google avatar

Elise W.

Yelp
I've eaten lunch here a few times when I go and visit my sister in Fort Worth. The food is always very good. The hamburgers are excellent. The fries are excellent. The beer is cold however the last time that I went every single beer mug I got had a lipstick stain on it. I'm not talking just one lipstick stain. Every single time they brought out a mug. It had a lipstick stain on it. I repeatedly told the server to bring the mugs back and please check next time and I guess she just did not check because I kept getting them. It seriously happened like four times. Other than that again the food is great. Just make sure to check your beer mugs before you start drinking out of it because that is very Disgusting.

Yelp
I have been eagerly waiting to visit The Lakehouse and finally found the time yesterday. My hubby and I met some friends here and we have such a fun evening! First, the views! Absolutely stunning. Especially if you get a seat by the window or snag a table on the patio. Second, happy hour drink prices are insane. Hubby and I sipped Old Fashioneds -- which were $5! So good and made with "the good ice cubes." The food was just okay - nothing super special. I had the fish and chips and hubby had the BBQ burger. The fries were especially disappointing. They tasted like frozen fries. I'll definitely try the sweet potato next time. All in all, a fun local spot. I could see us coming here for happy hour!
google avatar

David A.

Yelp
Other than sitting outside with a view of the lake this place is just ok. The wait was forever. Not to get seated but to get food . The waiter did a good job but he had so much to do that service was extremely slow severely inadequate. The food was good but not exceptional. Not to outlandish prices so that was a plus . Decent prices on the beer too was another plus. I had a burger and sweet potato fries. I might go back but only after I try most of the other places around .
google avatar

Elle B.

Yelp
Great spot - all of the food is delicious, the staff is so kind, and the vibes are supreme. For apps I recommend half fried pickles/half fried jalapeños, and the sausage. For the main you can't go wrong with any of the burger options. Lastly, enjoy a cocktail, margaritas hit the spot, and enjoy the view. The only negative is the wait, but this place is worth it.

Brayden P.

Yelp
The wings were great Service was great TVs with all the sports too,and we had a really nice waiter. I love the seats and the food but the fries were bland Overall a good places with good music

Erick D.

Yelp
It was an okay place. Very busy place, expect a wait time. I most likely will be coming back and give it a second chance.
google avatar

Joni B.

Yelp
Food was ok , nothing special. Too hot. Might try again when weather cools off. Nice views since it's right at the lake.

Yelp
Fun Sunday afternoon lunch. New to area and trying things out. We will be back! Love having outside area to bring dog.

Yelp
We are regulars at The LakeHouse. Unfortunately, this place is getting worse and worse. Most recently, sat at the bar for about 5 minutes before getting up to flag the bartenders attention while she stood and chatted with her boyfriend at the end of the bar. To management: the bartender is newer as I've never seen her here before. She has black hair and looks to be Hispanic. Side note: this is not Kenzie as Kenzie IS AMAZING AT HER JOB. Back to my story: after flagging her down she approached where I was sitting at the bar and asked what I wanted to drink in a "I can't be bothered kind of way." Aggressive, rude and just uninterested. Also, several people sitting at the bar were empty. One guy was waving his empty beer bottle around forever trying to get someone's attention. COME ON GUYS. Drink came out in a bland kind of way, no tajin, no jazz like they used too. Since this place just seems to be declining, we have decided to limit our visits here now and we used to go almost every weekend here. Sad.
