Loved it! This place is so cute, well decorated, modern, & chic. The food was all amazing. We got the chillaquilles, yakisoba noodles, tomato bisque soup, & banana bread with a cold brew. The service was good, everyone was super friendly. It is counter service so you go up and place your order they give you a number and bring you your food. The cold brew was not very strong as I'm used to but it had good flavor. All of the food was amazing and I will definitely be back here.

We stopped by here on the way from Washington! The welcoming energy from staff members was very friendly and nice to hear first thing in the morning 👍🏻 We ordered some burgers and for the drinks, we had simple matcha and Latte to start off the day ☕️ which the burgers were impressively good and drinks had nice representation with flavor that we expected, great matcha and latte! This will definately be a stop by place whenever we drive through this town!

Google
Nice casual restaurant. Has it's own dedicated parking lot. It is slightly confusing on whether or not it's seat yourself but you order at the counter. Nice patio area too. I had a really great wrap. Delicious. They have a full espresso menu too. I didn't have any baked goods but they looked delicious. There was a slight mix up but they refunded me on a purchase. Friendly staff but definitely took a while. They had a steady stream of customers. Nice indoor decor too. Very clean.

We stopped in for breakfast early and had a great experience. We dined in and the service was very good. You order at the counter and then you are served at your table. We had water in glasses, tea that was freshly brewed. The Veggie wrap and the side salad was very generous, with spinach, hummus, avocados, cucumbers and was very tasty. The side salad was spinach and was very fresh. We will be back soon.

First time in, this place was recommended by a colleague... Had the VERY delicious vegan veggie wrap and the caramel frappe with oat milk - yum! Soaked up some sun at a window seat, enjoyed the indoor plant vibe, and appreciated life watching people pass by. Definitely recommend stopping in!!!

Google
This place has the same owners at Akamai in Maui- which is one of our favorite places to eat at when we go to Maui every year! I’m telling you, I am very picky and usually don’t give out 5 stars, and this place is that girl! 5/5 and I’ll be coming back often! Coffee is insanely good! And the food is soooo good! I also love the touch of Hawaii they have inside the restaurant. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
Absolutely delicious coffee! They've perfected the classic simple espresso drinks and have some delightfully creative specials, too. Breakfast was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Interior is spotless, quiet, and tasteful.

Google
Lanai is beautifully decorated with a Hawaiian flair. My first visit consisted of a delicious coffee and cherry pastry. However, my future visits have not been favorable. The lunch options have been just ok. I took a friend and we ordered the bahn mi sandwich. It was practically all bread. There was almost no filling. We actually thought they may have forgotten to finish making the sandwich. It was $16! What filling was there was not tasty like a bahn mi should be. This was my 5-6 visit and I haven’t been back. Too bad because the staff is friendly and the atmosphere welcoming.

Yelp
My Dad used to have an expression for businesses who have not only paid attention to every detail, but also anticipated your needs well in advance. He would say " they polished the whole shoe." For the folks at The Lanai, they certainly polished the whole flip flop! Light, clean and bright and laid back, hawaiian-themed without the kitsch. So comfortable. Bella welcomed us for breakfast. She walked us through the menu and the exceptional coffee menu. I had the NOLA, slightly sweet chicory coffee over ice. Chrissy had the popular Honey Bee over ice. Both were awesome! I tried the Wagyu beef moco loco and got to finish the other half of the Avocado toast. Both outstanding. The vibe seems to lend itself to remote working, based on the number of folks doing so. We can't wait to come back and experience the wine bar, almost a bar within and restaurant. All good things for The Lanai Ohana!

Yelp
This is a newly built building and this restaurant is amazing inside and out...phenomenal food form start to finish... Every bite was fresh and delicious.... we sat in the outside lani and it was so nice out, and its not too busy so it was really nice to be outside and enjoy this wonderful food. Great, friendly service to top it off! We'll be back!!

Yelp
The Lanai is a fun spot to meet with clients over lunch, a nice date or brunch with your gal-pals! The food is tasty and it was delicious and prepared well! The vibe is Hawaiian Tropical meets Boho Chic! You come into the front, order your meal and drinks and then find your seats to relax and unwind as your meal is prepared! I'm excited to see what fun events and brunches this new spot will have and they have a nice and large Lanai outdoor seating perfect to enjoy the beautiful air and sunshine of Coeur d'Alene!

Yelp
Such a cute spot right in downtown! Loved the cozy yet modern vibe and friendly service. It really brings you back to Hawaii. They have new seasonal coffees and new items often. The avocado toast and huevos rancheros were both super fresh and flavorful, and the coffee was excellent too. Perfect place to relax, grab brunch, and people-watch downtown we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This place was amazing. The service was so great, even though it is an order and sit down place, they bring you water and take away plates. The employees were very friendly. The inside is very spacious with lots of space for people wanting to do work on laptops or read. The outdoor seating was great as well. We ordered the Wagyu Loco Moco, Chilaquiles, and Avocado Toast! The prices were good for the portion size. Coffee was phenomenal, some of the best I've had in the area. Order their specialty lattes!

Kim M.

Yelp
Food, service and ambience were all amazing. I've been there 3 times, everything I've had has been delicious!

Yelp
The banh mi sandwich was spicy deliciousness with a salad including feta, red onion and a ginger dressing, though light on meat. The croissant sandwich was good, but light on ingredients to make it great. Overall it's a good choice, but kinda pricey for what you get.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and staff is SUPER friendly. Had the loco moco and, if you've had it you know the gravy makes or breaks it, and the gravy was spot on! Took me right back to the islands. Wife had the Belgium waffle with berries and fresh whipped cream (I stole some). Weird to say, the waffle wasn't light but wasn't too heavy either. They hit the sweet spot as just right. Cool outdoor patio to soak up some sun too. Definitely will be back and try other things on the menu.

Yelp
One of my favorite new coffee shops in town! Try the Hawaiian Honeybee and thank me later! Love the little booths - they are a great spot to get work done! My only complaint is the music is a little loud which can make it hard to have a conversation.

Yelp
The Lanai is new to the area in the past few weeks, with their original location in Hawaii. Sounds like the menu here is the same as the one at their other location. We haven't had any of the food, but it looks fresh and high quality. Prices are definitely higher than standard for the area, but you're paying extra for a beautiful interior, great location with parking, and top notch service. We only had coffee today and had waiters stopped by 3 times to refill water and check in on us. We've had 3 of their latte options in our visits and all were delicious and not overly sweet like many of the drive through shops can be.

Yelp
Poor value. Most expensive item, bahn mi, had a paper thin slice of pork and ham. Avocado toast didn't even include an egg and when you add one the dish is $20. Homemade Bloody Mary not too tasty. There's no server but when you pay it automatically populates with a tip option of between 20%-25%. Food tasted ok and there was an open comfortable dining area.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee and breakfast spot! The food is so fresh and the best part they can make almost everything gluten free!!! Thank you McKenzie for great service and coffee!

Yelp
Excellent! Love the atmosphere, the Staff, the coffee and the food! We give this a definite 5 star rating! I had the honey bee coffee and the avocado toast. My daughter had the honey bee as well with the egg on toast, which she loved. My hubby had the homemade granola with the yogurt and berry and the kids had the French toast which was perfect for a little dessert bite for the rest of us. Next visit to see our kiddos, we will definitely be back.

Yelp
First off we were really excited to try this place because of the good reviews, i will say the ambience is nice and the coffee decent. we got the road to Hana (kind of bland). unfortunately the bland didn't stop there. My fiancee got the burger which was not bad, I got the tomato bisque (first it came out genuinely cold) they graciously heated it up and brought it back out nice and hot, only problem was it tasted like plain blended tomato's without any salt or seasoning beside some black pepper ground on top. service was friendly, coffee was fine, our complaint is with the food.

Yelp
Great food, costumer service, coffee. I will be back for happy hour and mimosas. Feels like I'm in Hawaii.

Yelp
This is the best coffee place in Mid-Town!! The owner is super friendly and the workers are very attentive and kind. The food is spectacular and has the best French toast and coconut coffee! :)))) Can't wait to drink some wine this summer on the patio and soak up the sun here at The Lanai !! 100/100

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere and great coffee! Servers were friendly and attentive.will try food next time.

Yelp
Lovely new spot in town. Friendly and competent staff, nice low-key decor. We ordered a chai for me and a regular for my husband along with freshly made chocolate chip cookie and brownie. Would certainly return. Handy parking too!

Yelp
This is MY FAVORITE place. Every single food and drink item I've ever had completely blows me away. The service is top notch. The ambiance is so relaxing and warm and inviting. I could come here daily, truly.

Yelp
Disclaimer... the owners of this place are friends of mine. That being said, I have to say that they have amazed me. The decor is next level. Very trendy, and somehow cozy. You need to go there to truly experience and appreciate it. They managed to put together an amazing staff of friendly people. To top it all off the food is crazy good. The flavors are unmatched in the Inland Empire. They managed to tuck a fun bar in there. They have great coffee too by the way.

Yelp
What a great find in Coeur d'Alene this week! I met some girlfriends at The Lanai in midtown. Definitely a casual atmosphere but adorable with lots of tropical foliage. Most of us had assorted coffee drinks and my latte was so good! Most of us had the Avocado Toast and how delightful it was! Spring mix on top of avocado, tomatoes and onion... never a bad thing! The toast was yummy and the presentation over the top! Will be back again soon!!!

Yelp
The environment in here is so cute, with big open windows and lots of seating. The staff was also super great. Unfortunately the drinks were a little off I got their iced chai and also tried my friend's iced oat milk vanilla latte, and they were both watered down.

Yelp
We will talk coffee first. Ive been to most spots in CDA, Hayden, and Post falls from drive thrus to brick and motor and this one takes the cake(not overly sweet). Now food I have tried so far is the loco moco, chilaquiles, and avocado toast. Toast was my favorite so far but all very good and flavorful. Staff is even better than the food and you are lucky if you get to catch the owners in their too- great folks. Little on the pricey side but well worth it with the great ingredients-you feel great after you eat rather than nap time. Highly recommend!

Gertrude F.

Yelp
The barista Ashley was very kind and informative. They have quite the selection of breakfast foods as well as some pastries and a great selection of coffees! The atmosphere in lanai is very aesthetic, light and airy. Makes it the perfect place to grab some food or even a cocktail! They have a wine menu and a beautiful bar.

John D.

Yelp
Came in to make a purchase the patrons in front of me were taking longer than normal which is fine. In addition the staff was also approached about a missed order once that was all sorted, and after patiently waiting I was basically ignored so I walked out.

Julianne H.

Yelp
Food was very good. As was the service. Really nice seating areas. Only complaint is that I was charged $4.50 for more iced tea. Hope they reconsider that policy.

Susan C.

Yelp
Wonderful food and they can do their menu gluten free! Tomato basil soup and grilled cheese were great and both were gluten free. Friendly service and lots to choose from!

Yelp
Big fans of Hawaii, we were pleasantly surprised to hear about The Lanai. Hadn't had a chance to go, and then a family member recommended it to us. Decided to check it out today for a coffee date and we are so happy we did. Love the atmosphere. Super friendly staff. The iced coffees were absolutely delicious! Neither of us like artificial flavors or sickeningly sweet drinks and our drinks were definitely what we were hoping for. Cold, refreshing, and delicious. My husband had the Hawaiian Honeybee and I had the Road to Hana. We both enjoyed both. We didn't get any food but the menu was definitely appealing. Love the blend of coffee shop, bar, and restaurant and there is a nice outdoor seating area as well. If we hadn't already had a big brunch I would been very tempted by the tantalizing pastries they had available. Absolutely recommend and will be back.

Yelp
I had high hopes for The Lanai given other online reviews, and the fact that we lived in HI for a decade. I ordered the Banh Mi sandwich, and, was nonplussed to see that there was minimal meat and veg, and that the sandwich was 95% bread. Perhaps my frankly sub-par sandwich was a one-off, however, I am unlikely to recommend this restaurant or to return here for another Banh Mi in the future.

Yelp
First time here and the coffee was great!! Very nice inside, plenty of friendly staff. Best almond croissant EVER!

Iommi B.

Yelp
My family and I discovered the unparalleled coffee served here when we were on vacation in Wailea on Maui. We have had coffee all over the world and this is our favorite. Incredible quality. We are so thrilled to see that they have opened here in CDA! We came by and grabbed a cup yesterday and it is exactly like we had in Hawaii. The owner and staff were very attentive and friendly and the island vibe decor is relaxed and inviting. You get what you pay for and this is the best in the area. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Sandra N.

Yelp
The service was just next level. Every single employee was so kind and caring, always checking in and making sure we had water filled. Seemed liked they all love their job and where they work because it transfers to the quality of service they provide. Places like these aren't so common nowadays. I'll definitely be back. Food was so beautiful and delicious and the coffee was next level. Great job to everyone at the Lanai!! You've won us over by just doing you! Mahalo
