The Landing

This place is strict towards international travelers. They will request a physical passport on top of a valid driver’s license from another country. The bartender was laughing and thinking it was funny that we were confused that my friend needed an additional verification because he presented a foreign ID. Be aware if you’re visiting from another country. Keep in mind every other bar in St. Pete has no problem accepting international driver’s license for a valid form of ID to get into their club. It was very strange.

Went to the Landing for my Birthday a few couple weeks back and I had a great time. Love this place, music is great drinks are great everything was perfect 👌

Walking along and saw the Chalk drawing Bar upstairs. Followed the steps up to find a fun friendly bartender. The views from the Landing are amazing. The drinks were delicious. It was Sunday Funday and we opted for shot of the day. This shot was named stay-cation, but tasted like an island dream. Coconut rum and delicious juices made for a very happy stay. Full bar, beers, wines. Nice selection of specialty drinks.

This place is a disaster and is completely selfish and incompetent. They blare out way too loud bass music into all hours of the night without giving any consideration to the people who live around there . Their lack of consideration for their surroundings is all that is wrong in this world .

Went to this bar a few times and it was awesome. The drinks were light unless the DJ got them (friend of hers) though. Tonight I got in (27), but my boyfriend got turned down because he had "too much to drink". He had far less than me, and we hadn't had much. We're pretty sure they thought his ID was fake. Just an altogether strange situation given there was a good size group of us all well over 21. Thought they would have a scanner? They weren't rude or anything, but definitely won't return as it was super uncomfortable. Good atmosphere, though! Edit: after reading other reviews, this is a COMMON occurrence. Apparently the security is always super rude if you're a male. Makes sense why me and my girls never had an issue! 😂

Went here on a Saturday night with some friends. Everyone who works there was very nice to us. The DJ was great - he was playing some classic r&b/hip-hop/pop throwbacks, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The vibe up there was overall good and I would recommend going there if you're especially already in the area at some nearby bars. Walking distance between all these nearby bars is not bad at all.

Best spot on the strip to play 90s and early 00s RNB, HipHop. Love the vibe!

Beautiful rooftop deck with friendly bartenders and a great atmosphere. The vibe is electric, just wished they served food. Trees and rooftop lights adorn the patio that is perfect to have drinks before the show at Jannus Live.

The Landing is an outdoor patio bar upstairs from the main entrance to Jannus Live. Featuring live music, full bar and low key place to chill before shows. It recently became my favorite pregame spot! During the first couple of visits they offered a small menu of quickie appetizers but last time the kitchen was closed. The bartender was cool with me grabbing something local and eating at the bar. I went to burrito border for some nachos to go. The patio is laced with tree branches and greenery, making it esthetically pleasing as well as somewhat private. Bartenders are super friendly and fun. Love the service and prices are fair. They always mention specials. The live music can be reggae or folksy. I never know till I get there but I'm never disappointed.

I will sum the landing down with one sentence. If you want good afternoon drinks, amazing music and a Good people watching perch in downtown St. Petersburg this is your spot.

The best rooftop bar in downtown. The regular bars are super crowded and you can not move at all but this rooftop has a good space plus love DJ and good price drinks!

Worried for my safety while visiting here. Bouncer was EASILY man handled by 4'8, 100 lb girl, and the police had to get involved. Definitely need to step up security here for the safety of the guests. In reality, the bouncer was incredibly rude to a small group of people by us. Randomly shining his flashlight repeatedly in this girl's face and then when she pushed it away because it was literally blinding her(he was that close), he started saying she assaulted him and then lied to the police about further damage that didn't happen. The police did nothing but take a report from what I saw. Wouldn't recommend going here if that's how the staff treats the average guest. My friends and I left as we saw this happening, as we didn't want to be next.

This is a good place to hang out before or after a show. We stopped here to have a drink right before a show and we could see into the venue. The drinks were good, and the bartenders seemed to be quick, especially since they had to make a bunch of Harry Potter themed drinks for a Harry Potter pub crawl or something that was there when we were. I like that it is mostly open air, with some high walls to offer some "privacy." There was a DJ playing as well but honestly we weren't paying attention to them as my friend was concerned about catching a glimpse of the band we were there to see. Overall, I would come back here, especially after dark.

Well, just left. Came here because of the false advertisement stating $5 Alto margs. Guess what the bartender with black hair was like it's $8. Okay so now I'm expecting a great Marg. It tasted like washed out OJ with a hint of booze. Barely tasted it all.

We do not recommend! We sat at the bar to get a drink and appetizer before a show... the bartender was the WORST! Waited 20 minutes to order a drink and recommended that we NOT order an appetizer as it could take an hour and he would not be responsible for it. I went to the manager Courtney and she got the appetizer in 15 minutes. Appetizer was great but I can't rate the rest of food because of timing and not being able to order . A woman next to me also waited 30 minutes for a drink and chose not to eat based on what the bartender said. The couple before her walked out. Do not recommend... or at least don't sit at the bar!

This place sucks tbh... wouldn't let my group of 7 in because I had a fashion CK bag on my shoulder instead of a regular purse.... when I asked the security guard to check inside and opened it with no hesitation he still wouldn't let me in... I literally come there twice a week (wearing that bag at times) so I don't understand why they were acting brand new but cool. Lost my business.. the bartenders are very sweet but the 17 year old door guy is rude.

The bouncers are very rude and disrespectful. They only let underage individuals in. I'm never going back to this bar. Very disappointed.

Visited on a warm summer afternoon during Taco Takeover for a cold margarita. I had the Altos Blanco Margarita - refreshing and sweet just enough... The space is a beautiful open air patio with lots of fans all around. Good for cool vibes & refreshing drinks.

First night out since living in Florida and we came across this place and WE LOVED IT ! So fun! Great drinks and music and nice mixture of people ! Will def be back!!!

This was a really cool find! We were walking along looking for margarita deals on Sunday and we saw these steps so we decided to follow them upstairs to a really nice, open air bar! It was not crowded at all. There were plenty of tables under the shade and plenty of space at the bar to sit. I was in luck because they had five dollar margaritas! The bartender even added a splash of watermelon in mine. I liked the atmosphere a lot and the fact that if you look out eye level you are in the tree branches-that was really cool!

This place was good at first but the bartenders are incredibly RUDE. A drink that I normally order at other places did not taste right and instead of them topping it off with sprite or something they mocked me and made it seem likeI was lying. One of the bartenders, with a lot of tattoos, I didn't catch her name, made my drink and didn't stir. She poured alcohol at the bottom and sprite on top. I tried asking her fora straw or something to mix it and she wasn't paying attention. I then had to grab a plastic cup from their stack to mix my drink. The service is horrible! I will never go back there. Music was ok but not worth wasting time at.

Let me start by saying I have never written a negative review online about anything before. It's very hard to upset me enough in order for me to take the time to write a negative review, but this place succeeded. I used to go to this bar quite frequently. My good friends play music there on a regular basis, which makes this review hard for me to write, but I feel obligated to share it because I would hate for someone else to go through what I went through. I tried to go to the Landing with a group of friends on Saturday night, 4/24/21, and security would not let us in the bar, even though they were letting in everyone else. We politely asked security why they wouldn't let us in, and they refused to give an answer. As a regular, who was definitely not that intoxicated at all, I really wanted to know if I was doing something wrong to warrant such treatment, but when I tried to explain this to security and the bar manager, one of the security guards charged me and tried to attack me. I still don't know what we did wrong or why one of their security guards tried to attack me. I've never had anything like this happen to me before anywhere, ever. I don't plan on going back to this bar for a long time and I would advise the same to anyone reading this. Obviously, this is beyond just poor food/drinks or service, this about people's safety and happiness. I would hate for someone else to have to go through a similar experience.

While I normally only post yelp reviews when I find myself pleasantly surprised by the food and service, this happens to be the opposite situation. A group of us came here after a rays game and after waiting a significant amount of time without service, we left without getting a single drink. Truthfully, we weren't even acknowledged which was surprising considering there weren't but 15 people at the bar. The bar back managed to get served a shot, but paying customers like us were overlooked. I will not be returning to this place and I urge others to think twice as well.

This place is an episode of Bar Rescue waiting to be filmed! Just walked out without being served by your wonderful purple-haired bartender. She couldn't wait to serve herself and her bar back a couple shots of fireball before serving us, paying customers who waited 10 minutes at the bar, literally 3' from her. She was the worst. She couldn't pay more attention to a bunch of cheap 23 yr olds who talked about her tattoos and ordered 55 of the cheapest drinks, only to say, "separate checks please."....but on a positive note, she seemed to be really enjoying herself as she swayed and awkwardly danced to the music without doing any actual work. The owner should be excited because hes going to be famous when Jon Taffer comes in to give it the makeover!.....bunch of clowns here.

This was such a great place to take my friends out to celebrate!! The atmosphere was fun and the bartender Ashlee (pretty purple hair) really went above and beyond to make sure my friends and I were having a great time! Definitely will be visiting again!

Walking along and saw the Chalk drawing- Bar upstairs. Curiosity got the best of me. Followed the stairs to find a great bar. Bartender was fun and friendly. It was Sunday Funday and once the Bartender realized we were locals. She asked if we wanted a island tropical fun drink? Ummmm yes. She made her drink called Stay-cation. Made with coconut rum and delicious fruit juices. I would recommend trying this or any of the specialty drinks offered. The views are spectacular being up high gives a feeling of being in the tree tops. There are plenty of tables on patio many with shade and seats around the bar area. Full bar with many beers and wines offered.

I went a few weeks ago for the first time after having a just awful and long week at work and ended up having so much fun! The bartender, Jersey is a HOOT! She took good care of me and my friends, she was all smiles the whole time I was there. She made sure she served me and my group while not neglecting the rest of her duties. I seriously highly recommend anyone in DTSP to visit her! I can't wait to go back!!!

Love the space! Hate the Friday night dueling pianos ... but I will give them some time to figure out DTSP . Still trying to figure out hours of operation and hoping to see some more drink specials ... but you can't beat the view and the vibe!

Went a few weeks back and had an absolute blast. The bartenders were fun and even when the weather wasn't great they kept us laughing and paying. I can't wait to go back in hopes to see Jackie and Jersey again. This place is a must go if you are in the area. Headed back in a couple of weeks and I will certainly be there! Great place, great atmosphere, great music and kudos to them all for working so hard.

Great gathering place. Fun, friendly, in the midst of all the action, yet elevated above. Great place to meet. Fun people watching. Fast, friendly bar.

Went to the Chevelle concert at Janus live on Wed. My freind couldn't pull the tickets for the seven of us up on her phone. A bartender named Miles took the time to help! Went and got the wi-fi password, assisted in pulling them up, then escorted us to the line, to make sure we got in! Awesome service! Been there twice before other shows. Will definitely be going back! You ROCKED it Miles!

This place double charged me for my drinks and doesn't have a real number to even call about it!!!
