**Review of Breakfast at Landmark Restaurant, Warwick Melrose Hotel, Dallas** I've dined at the Landmark Restaurant several times for breakfast, and it consistently delivers an excellent experience. The service is always attentive and friendly, making you feel right at home. The food is fantastic, with breakfast potatoes that are particularly noteworthy. The omelettes are well-prepared and flavorful, catering to a variety of tastes. The ambience of the morning lounge is inviting and serene, making it a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast whether you're a hotel guest or a local resident. Overall, the Landmark Restaurant is a great choice for breakfast, combining delicious food, exceptional service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I’ve not been for dinner but heard it’s really good.

I decided to stop at this restaurant to get some work done because I had to wait in the area. I didn’t have high expectations because well it’s in the middle of the day and I just needed a place to work while I wait for my colleague to finish up an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The staff are absolutely amazing very sweet and attentive. They really made me feel right at home and welcome to do my work in peace. All of the food was absolutely delicious. I had the spiced calamari and Ruben. For dessert I have the brownie À la mode. I love the vibe of the restaurant itself, but the people really made the experience worthwhile. I would love to come here again just to eat and maybe bring a friend.. I absolutely recommend.

I absolutely enjoyed dining at the Landmark! This experience began on a great note with being greeted by hostess Dovie! She’s such a joy to chat with and set me up with an excellent table both nights I dined there. The waiters were also wonderful and ensured our meal was perfect. I look forward to visiting this restaurant again! They recieve my highest recommendation!

I flew into Dallas in the evening and was looking for a bite to eat after checking into my hotel. I opted for Landmark. It was a great experience and i recommend anyone staying at the Warwick check it out. I had a salad and the cavattappi dish, both were clearly put together thoughtfully and tasted great. The martini was excellent and the wine pairing was spot on. Dustin, my server, did a great job - friendly, attentive, and capable. 10/10 recommend!

If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s as unforgettable as it is delicious, look no further than The Landmark Prime Rib! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Scott, the maître d’, set the tone for the evening with his exceptional service and engaging personality. Our waitress, Connie, truly went above and beyond. Her attentive service and genuine enthusiasm made our meal even more enjoyable. She knew the menu inside and out and was able to recommend us with the best choices catered to what we would enjoy. Now, let’s talk about the food. The sous chef deserves a standing ovation for the incredible dishes that graced our table. Each plate was so flavorful from the appetizers all the way to the dessert. The prime rib was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The Jumbo Prawn Cocktail and Crab Cakes were so yummy. The crab bisque is another must, it was packed with so much flavor. And if you’re dining this month, don’t miss their special: the Fillet Mignon. It was to die for! Other than the cart carved prime rib, this special was a true highlight, with flavors that danced on the palate and left us craving more. In summary, The Landmark Prime Rib is a gem of a restaurant where every aspect, from service to food, is handled with care and expertise. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a night out, this place is sure to impress. Kudos to Scott, Connie, and the entire kitchen staff for making our evening truly exceptional! I will definitely be back!

Now, I will say the food isn't bad, but between the cold vibe when I sat down to eat my food and not asking for clarity on my order, I give it a lower rating. When I first came to the entrance, the maitre'd was a tad rude before they escorted me to the table. I quickly glanced over the menu and decided on an egg white omelet with veggies and a side of bacon. The omelette itself had no flavor, but I could tell fresh ingredients were used. The waiter who serviced me was very friendly but, when I asked for a side of bacon, they assumed I didn't want the potatoes that automatically came with the dish and swapped them out! They should have asked first and I ended up having to ask where the potatoes were after receiving my food! In addition, they didn't ask me if I wanted anything else and just brought me the check so at this point, I'm already turned off. I then had to ask for the salmon bagel to go and waited a little longer for them to bring it out before I left. Now the salmon bagel was good, but to my chagrin, there was a long white hair in there! So between finding hair in my food and subpar customer service, I will not return here.

We were greeted by the best part of the evening: Dovie, the hostess at the Landmark. Dovie was lovely, gave us a great table, and started our drinks service. Anthony was our waiter, and he was less than attentive. He was apparently, maybe, the only waiter working every table. He apologized once and then never came back to attend to us except to present us with the bill at the end of the evening. We decided to go with the prime rib, as the Landmark is known for it. It was very bad. First, the cart that is supposed to be wheeled and you receive table service just doesn't happen. Second, the prime rib is sliced so thin and topped with mashed potatoes. To keep it from drying out, they basically drown it in gravy, which sadly isn't even hot enough to keep the meat warm for more than 2 minutes. It was a sad, soupy, soggy, cold plate in 5 minutes. Unfortunately, my daughter's prime rib had a bone in it and was overwhelmed with rosemary, which neither my husband nor I had on our plate. The creme brulle was grainy and warm, and the sugar topping was thick. We were hoping dessert would save the meal, but it didn't The ONLY good part of the meal was Dovie. She was attentive and tried to make sure we were taken care of even though Anthony did not provide absolute attentive service. We told Dovie we were disappointed and had a small reduction in the bill, which was thoughtful.

Google
The overall taste of the food was good. The service however was less than satisfactory. I couldn’t even tell you the name of my server, as they only provide a touch point and a bill. There was one large party, plus two other tables besides myself. The busser/water guy waited on me more than anyone else, and was the one I had to ask for my bill. I ordered a bottle of Caymus with my Prime Rib, that never came. The Prime Rib was not cut table-side, and told by the front desk. For what was spent, even with a discount given with staying at the hotel, I won’t be seeking to visit again.

Yelp
Wonderful breakfast! I had the American breakfast. They had the best hash browns and ask for Gene. He's the best.

Yelp
My husband and I visited this weekend for our anniversary and were instantly greeted with a smile. I started with the espresso martini which was a true treat. We sampled several appetizers from the mushrooms, shrimp, and my favorite the crustini, that one is a must try! I had the seabass with broccolini and it was one of the best I'd ever eaten. My husband had the filet mignon and raved about it. Then we ended the night with the best chocolate brownie (definitely get with ice cream ) and the creme brûlée, you only live once so order the dessert. We will definitely be back soon. Go on a Fr/Sat evening and you can go over to the hotels Library bar and enjoy the beautiful music and delicious cocktails for a fun night out.

Yelp
Being from Chicago I am naturally a spoiled foodie. I can honestly say great food here in Dallas is hard to come by sadly, but Landmark Prime Rib did not disappoint! Everything from the atomosphere, the service, cocktails, wine, and food was top notch! I came with 3 of my friends and we each order different apps, starters, entrees, and desserts so we could get a feel for the entire menu. Absolutely everything was incredible!!! Some of our top favorites were the following: Melrose Salad, Crab Bisque, Stuffed Mushroom Caps (out of this world), Crab Cakes, The Prime Rib, Sea Bass, Filet Mignon, Verlasso Salmon, Truffle Mac and Cheese, Broccolini, and the Brownie top with Baileys a la mode was unbelievable. This is easily one of the best restaurants I have dine at here in Dallas. You can't go wrong with anything of the menu! Our new go to place for sure!

Yelp
This was a wonderful experience. The food was amazing. Its prestine clean and the ambiance makes you feel special!. Connie our server was absolutely amazing and attentive af. I will be back with others to share this amazing restaurant.

Yelp
The service was pretty good as was the food. The ambience seems pretty low key so you won't feel weird not being dressed up. Got their prime rib that is cut out of a serving cart. Would be more fun if they wheeled it around to carve in front of you. My girlfriend got the filet which was delicious. This place is getting only 4 stars because the prices are just way too high for the experience.
google avatar

Cheryl R.

Yelp
Food was amazing and I love the carving table. Our server, Dustin, was very kind and attentive. He made our dining experience memorable. We will definitely be returning. For comfortable, elegant dining, add The Landmark Prime Rib to the top of your must try list of restaurants. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
We keep coming back to the Warwick Melrose when we are in Dallas. Gene always provides excellent and fun service. Ask for him when you're there and you'll share the joy of being around him.

Yelp
The Landmark is my new favorite prime rib restaurant, not just in Dallas or Texas, but in the US! My best friend and I were visiting from NYC last weekend and prime rib is my absolute favorite meal, so we wanted to seek out something special for dinner. The hospitality was incredible- the team was flexible with reservation time and we felt super at-home with Dustin and Chef Phil. The prime rib was sliced tableside which was one of the best parts of the experience. The Warwick Melrose is a cherished establishment and with the addition of The Landmark, I'll be sure to return. The Libary Bar was also such a fun experience after dinner- you just have to experience the live entertainment and camaraderie for yourself. Thanks team for everything!

Yelp
My wife and I had a lovely evening dining at Landmark. The Prime Rib was delectable and the service second to none. Dustin was very professional and knowledgeable. Would return for the service alone!

Yelp
Beautiful and refined restaurant. Delicious Prime Rib and au gratin potatoes. The cheesecake and brownies were heavenly delights. Connie was a gracious and knowledgeable server which made our dinner experience complete. The Library bar right outside the restaurant is a fun place to hear live music and have a night cap.

Reid H.

Yelp
Service (Dustin) was excellent. I had the chicken and it was perfect. I have to eat Gluten Free and the chef came out to make sure what I ordered was appropriate. foo

Gordon M.

Yelp
Celebrated a birthday at The Landmark Prime Rib. The food was excellent! Our Server, Dustin, was most attentive. The Chef & Maître d' even signed a birthday card for the birthday boy. This is in the Melrose Hotel and the restaurant is a hidden gem! Thanks to everyone for making our dinner so special.

Yelp
Went here for a girl's dinner night and it was really yummy. I got the prime rib and ordered medium well, though I wish I would have ordered medium or medium rare. I loved the presentation they give of how it goes from the smoker to the table. My friend ordered the filet and said it was yummy. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the Creamy Crab Bisque because that was my absolute favorite part. Delicious! I liked the mac and cheese a lot though I wish it had a bit less of the creamy sauce. (I bet I'm alone on that). The strawberry cheesecake was incredible. Probably one of the best I've ever had. I especially loved that the real strawberry gelee was a glaze on the side vs infused. Great overall experience, even for the high end price.

Yelp
We had an awesome time. our waiter was so friendly and attentive. We never wanted for anything. The food was spot on. We will definitely return for the amazing service and delicious meal.

Yelp
great service. great dining room. and we love prime rib. which most steak houses don't serve. and our waitress Connie (I am pretty sure) anticipated our needs before we did.

Yelp
Dustin was our server . He was really wonderful. Very professional and respectful. Knowledge and funny too. We appreciate such lovely service.

Yelp
We had a family celebration here with a party of 22 last week and the dinner was spectacular! It was truly perfect, our server Connie was awesome, the pacing of the dishes was spot on, everything was hot and delicious, and the drinks were right on point. I could not be happier with how it turned out. The guests of honor were thrilled and have not stopped talking about it! My most sincerest thanks to the team at Landmark Prime Rib.

Yelp
We came to Landmark for my husband's birthday. Montreal was our waiter and was absolutely amazing! My husband loved the prime rib, and I thoroughly enjoyed the beef tenderloin. The staff even signed a card for my husband's birthday! We had such a great meal and experience!

Yelp
We ate here two nights ago, during our stay at the Warwick Melrose in Dallas. We had a wonderful happy hour in the bar (served by a gracious lady named Margarita). After our friends left, we decided to try the hotel restaurant called The Landmark. All too often, a hotel restaurant can be underwhelming....not this time! The menu had some wonderful options including various cuts of prime rib. We tried the prime rib and the Sea Bass; both were excellent! The sides were delicious too, you can't go wrong. Our waiter was Dustin and he did a fabulous job. We entered the restaurant around 9:00 that night.....it was a long happy hour.....so our meal lasted a bit after 10:00....The Landmark's closing time. We were not rushed to finish but the staff needed to clean up and we left the restaurant around 10:10. So glad we decided to dine here. We highly recommend this restaurant. Especially if you stay at the Warwick Melrose! And the Melrose is a great hotel in Dallas!

Joe P.

Yelp
Beautiful Restaurant Our server Gene was awesome. Can't wait to come back for another meal.

Sandy T.

Yelp
OMG! It was fabulous! The food and service were superb. Great atmosphere and ambiance. My daughter and I each got different cuts of prime rib and got to watch as it was being cut to our liking. It came with a side salad and the best garlic masked potatoes ever! We also ordered a side of grilled asparagus which was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant which is located inside the Warwick Melrose Hotel.

Yelp
This restaurant has it all! The prime rib is excellent, as were the stuffed mushrooms. Our server, Connie, couldn't have been more helpful. You can tell she enjoys the hospitality business. This is fine dining!

Michael G.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. Connie, our server was amazing. She was quite friendly and on top of everything throughout our evening. Highly rated!! Thank you Connie!!

Yelp

Yelp
What an excellent dining experience. The atmosphere is elegant and lovely. The service Elizabeth provided was top notch and she paid attention to detail. The seafood options were delicious and my husband was extremely satisfied with his prime rib. We will be dining here again before leaving Dallas.

Mia J.

Yelp
Tonight we celebrated my grandparents 58th wedding anniversary. Connie was our server and she was splendid. Attentive and knowledge able about the menu (I am now an expert on patty pans ;). I will be dreaming of the jalapeño cheddar cheese bread tonight. I understand why the sea bass is the second popular dish on the menu, it is simply delicious. We went on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't crowded at all. My grandmother really enjoyed the music they were playing. I appreciated that the music was not too loud and I didn't have to shout across the table.
google avatar

Joe Joe B.

Yelp
This place was dead empty when I visited so I am honestly giving it an extra star in hopes of bumping up their business. Don't get me wrong this isn't a big stretch. The lovely classic prime rib place is located in the beautiful Warwick hotel. The staff is ridiculously friendly. At times a little slow but not offensively slow. The martini was a hit! The crab soup was a slam dunk! And the prime rib was just what you want from a prime rib! I could have done without the mashed potatoes. So much food. Also lived there homemade bread and butter. Definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Dustin F.

Yelp
Let's just start by saying everyone is amazing here. The moment you walk in the door is the best. The staff is so wonderful. I would like to thank James and Connie for making our Friday night spectacular. The food is delicious. We started with crab cakes and Shrimp. Both were out of this world. Then we had the prime rib which is cooked perfectly. I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. Don't skip the bread pudding dessert. It's a little taste of old New Orleans. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Yelp
The ambiance is great. The service is fantastic, Connie is the sweetest and most attentive server I've had in a while (anywhere) The entire staff took the time to personally sign my dad's birthday card, and that was so special and sweet! The chef Dustin brought out our appetizers, Theo brought our prime rib to us and it was cooked perfectly. Every single person here is really great. Scott thanked us for coming in. Parents & I will definitely come back!

Yelp
Had dinner last night at the revamped Landmark prime rib. Wow. The place looks amazing. The food was fantastic and service was spot on. Looking forward to our next visit! Try the crab cakes!!

Nick S.

Yelp
Immediately greeted by the host with a smile and a table ready. The waitress was super nice and knew her menu. We had a couple of appetizers, the Ahi Tuna Crudo and Beef Tenderloin Crostini were delicious! My entree was the Filet Mignon and it was cooked to perfection and was one of the best I've had compared to other high end steakhouses. The Prime Rib was the best I've ever had as well! I tried a bite from my wife's plate. My wife and I decided to have dessert which was the Brownie Bites, so good! After dinner we went to the library bar down the hallway, which was so much fun and ended our perfect evening at the Warwick! Will be back, that's for sure!

R. B.

Yelp
Food was great as always. Gene the waiter is very accommodating and gave us history about the early development of the famous Warrick Hotel. This hotel is always classy!

Wendy S.

Yelp
breakfast service with Gene as our service was superb hotel is great location, great bar, great service definitely a gem

Samaria C.

Yelp
What an amazing dinner! The attention to detail in both food and service was outstanding. Starting with service, Connie helped us select a perfect wine, decanted it, and ensured we always had a full glass. Then the food! For appetizers we simply asked Chef Patrick to suggest his favorite appetizers and he did not disappoint. The beef crustini was to die for and that crab cake can't be beat. My filet was cooked to perfection and we ended with the bread pudding. My friend is an East Texas bread pudding connoisseur and she could not stop raving. We will definitely be back!

Lydia J.

Yelp
Amazing place for our anniversary. They had a card for us signed by the staff which was a nice touch. Service was great. Connie was our server and she was excellent. Take her recommendations because she is spot on. Great ambiance and food. It is named after the prime rib for a reason. Did not disappoint.

Tnt M.

Yelp
Just had my first dinner here tonight. The prime rib was supreme! Elizabeth waited on our table and she was fabulous! Extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the wines and dishes. Soft music played in the background as we enjoyed our dinner and conversation. Very pleasant evening.

Hallie H.

Yelp
I wrote an earlier review of The Landmark after experiencing a dinner which was far from exemplary. When I heard from the manager, I learned there had been some major issues with the server on the night we dined. The manager was extremely apologetic and kindly offered to host us for another dinner at The Landmark, which we accepted. So tonight we enjoyed a most wonderful meal with service beyond expectations. Beginning with soft, flavorful jalapeno bread, followed by appetizers of crabcakes and beef tenderloin crostinis, onto scrumptious prime rib prepared perfectly medium rare, creamy garlic mashed potatoes, pan seared Chilean sea bass and creamed spinach, there was little room left for dessert, although the dessert menu was difficult to turn down. We also had two perfectly prepared cocktails and a nice Willamette Valley Pinot Noir with the entrees. Our hosts couldn't have been more pleasant and concerned that we had a very different experience, one fitting of the beautiful, serene space that is The Landmark Prime Rib. It is with pleasure I highly recommend dining at this lovely space, perfect for a special experience or simply needing to relax in a quiet spot in the heart of Dallas. James Alexander and Scott are the best hosts. I will give a nod to Justin, our server, who went above and beyond accommodating us. Will definitely request Justin on my next visit. Thank you again for a wonderful dining experience.

Jason H.

Yelp
Food was great. Nice quiet atmosphere. Our server, Connie, was excellent. Anniversary made.

Jon M.

Yelp
I have been searching for a replacement restaurant for prime rib ever since Lawry's restaurant closed. The Melrose Landmark is it and it is better than I expected. From the ambience and decor to the wonderful attention and service received from maitre d' Scott and our waitress Connie, we could not have asked for anything better. The crabcakes were fantastic with the pickled jicama salsa topping. And the stuffed mushrooms were wonderful. The prime rib was the most delicious I have had and certainly more than generous! I will have to come back soon and try the shrimp cocktail that I saw another table. It looked delicious. thank you for restoring fine dining! Well done! JohnM

Linda J.

Yelp
What a delightful Easter Brunch and visit we had at the The Landmark Prime Rib in Uptown yesterday! The environment was elegant and inviting for comfortable conversation--thank you, James Alexander. Maître d' Scott Adams was gracious and attentive -our seats were perfect for the five of us, gathered from Ft. Worth, Richardson, and Manhattan, NY. The eye-appealing food stations were easily accessible and attended by a fantastic staff Our server Connie cheerfully supplied our table needs, and Chef Patrick McElroy's perfectly selected and prepared menu choices were delicious! We will definitely be back!

Beka J.

Yelp
I cannot get over how amazing Easter brunch was today! James and our favorite lady, Connie, were everything we could ask for!

Yelp
James Alexander was so helpful and the food is always so amazing! The prime rib is mouth watering.

James D.

Yelp
Connie was great and very entertaining. The food was very tasty! Would be back again soon!

Lynn W.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! The ambiance of the restaurant was very welcoming and charming. My husband and I had wonderful time, and it reminds you of a great place to have a good conversation. Music wasn't too loud, and the staff are super friendly and attentive. My husband had the prime rib (option to select the cut and cooked to what he likes) and I had the Chilean Sea Bass. I love that you get a lot of food as well for the price. It's a 5 stars and recommended. Thank you Lynn W.

Anya A.

Yelp
The ambience, food, and entire experience was excellent at The Landmark. Our server Connie was great and the lobster pasta was delicious

Ashley T.

Yelp
The Landmark Prime Rib is a must try! The ambiance is so elegant in this historic hotel, it has a very charming old world feel. Our server was fantastic and was quick and attentive. If the atmosphere and service wasn't enough the food is out of this world! I had the New York strip and my husband had the famous prime rib. We both loved our food and were stuffed when we left. Stop by The Library Bar after dinner for a fun little nightcap too.

Helena C.

Yelp
5 stars go for the great service because Elizabeth was extremely professional and kind. The reason for the 4 stars is due to the filet we ordered being cooked way beyond what we asked. We did get it replaced but the wait was pretty long for the replacement.
