"While Solvang was built in the retro visage of 16th-century-style architecture, the Landsby takes a more modern, comfortably convivial, minimal, cozy Danish approach. Or hygge for short. It makes for a pleasant, serene stay while also being in the epicenter of town. Even more convenient is Mad & Vin, the Landsby’s Danish-cum-Californian cuisine that checks every box: locally sourced, fresh, seasonal ingredients on an inventive menu in a pleasant dining room." - Maxwell Williams, Krista Simmons

A wonderful place to stay!||The Landsby never disappoints. The rooms are very roomy for 2 ,clean and comfortable. You can’t get a better location! ||The staff at the hotel are all so welcoming and willing to go over and beyond for their guests. We can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff here! From beginning to end. Making the reservation to checking out you are taken care of. Even when they are busy preparing for an upcoming wedding taking place that weekend. We have been guest of the hotels 4 or 5 times now and always receive exceptional service! We are already counting down the days until our next visit. The Landsby Hotel and their staff have definitely made Solvang our happy place!

As a wedding photographer, I absolutely loved working at The Landsby in Solvang. The whole space is so charming and thoughtfully designed. It has this cozy, intimate feel that’s perfect for smaller, romantic celebrations. The restaurant on the property was amazing. The food and drinks were top-notch, and it’s so convenient to have a great spot right there for your guests to enjoy. It really adds to the overall experience. One of my favorite things about The Landsby is how easy it makes it for everyone to stay together for the weekend. The hotel feels super connected, and the staff is incredibly kind and friendly. On top of that, there’s so much to do in the area: wine tasting, exploring town, or just relaxing. It’s such a fun and beautiful place to host your wedding.

The #51 suite is large and very comfortable.I have stayed twice in this suite. It opens into a courtyard with fire pits at night. A convenient bakery is across the courtyard but doesn't open until 10:00 AM. The very large bathroom is well-lit, has a large, deep tub, and a roomy shower. The pillows are perfect. In-room coffeemaker and several bottles of water in the refrigerator are welcome. Extensive hotel parking is close by but $20 a night. The dining room is 4-star at dinner. My only nit is that there is no robe or safe in the room. The hotel is easy walking distance to all Solvang restaurants and stores. Be aware that in addition to the room charge, there is a stiff Occupancy Tax ($64 a night in my case). Two nights in a really nice suite came to $1,092. Hotel rates are significantly higher on weekends (Friday and Saturday).

From start to finish, our stay at The Lansby was absolutely perfect. Check-in was seamless, and the hospitality we received from Guillermo set the tone for a wonderful visit—he was warm, professional, and incredibly welcoming.||||The bar was another highlight of our stay. The food and drinks were great, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the ambiance.||||Our room was excellent—spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. Every detail felt thoughtful and elevated the overall experience.||||The location is ideal, and the lobby and common areas are just as impressive as the rest of the hotel. Stylish, inviting, and well-maintained, the entire property reflects a high standard of care and hospitality.||||We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and are already looking forward to our next visit.

The Landsby was lovely. It was my birthday get away with my daughter and mom. We stayed in the Junior suite which had a very comfy bed and an extra sitting area with the it was very clean with a great ambience. It was right by the common garden courtyard area which was beautiful , plenty of comfy seating around the fire pits with hanging lights for the evening, and the big plus was we did't realize Mad and Vin was part of the hotel so made the walk to the bar and my birthday dinner very easy! Highly recommend the hotel and location!

Google
Nice hotel which is on the main area of Solvang. The check in process was quick and easy. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. I was in a street facing room which had some street noise during the day but was quiet at night. I did have is I had a noisy neighbor which I could hear and the hotel charges $20 a night for parking which seems like an unnecessary up charge.

Google
The cutest boutique hotel, in the middle of Solvang. Perfect location, and aesthetic is top notch. We loved the outpost shop and though we didn’t eat at the bar/restaurant, the food looked incredible and it was always packed. The front desk staff, Janet, in particular went above and beyond. Amazing knowledge of Solvang and just a wonderful employee!

Google
I’ve always wanted to stay at this hotel, and when we finally did it didn’t disappoint. It’s soo charming and cute, yet remains to be perfectly updated. Stunning views from the rooms, lovely staff, and you can’t beat the location. We stayed on a Monday in the off season so prices were affordable, but I’m sure room rates can get pretty high here on weekends given how great this place is.

Yelp
First time in Solvang! Very cute area with all the lights & Xmas decorations. Hotel is nice & modern. Our deluxe garden room is in the quieter lower level garden courtyard; although there was a really loud trash dumpster pickup on Saturday morning that woke us all up even though we had our sound machine on. Otherwise, really quiet room #6. We got lucky, the guests above us weren't loud. Heard them walking on the wood floors above us but not often, I can only imagine if it were kids running back & forth on those floors. The hotel has a pamphlet with comp tastings & 2 for 1 tastings around Solvang. Make sure to make reservations for popular restaurants in Solvang during busy weekends, thought we could just walk-in at 5pm but places either were not talking walk-ins or had 1.5-2hr waits. Can order drinks at the hotel bar and enjoy them at the fire pits right outside our room. Parking is either in a covered garage & above the garage which is uncovered. Overall, a great stay. Looking to book again but will splurge on a bigger room.

Yelp
We had a very horrible experience.... I wouldn't think people will be gouged in 2024 We paid almost $1200 for one night stay and we got food poisoning at the bar... On Christmas Day because we didn't have reservations to eat at the restaurant our only choice was the bar.. Extremely disappointed

Yelp
We decided to take a family holiday trip to Solvang given its warm and festive vibe during the season. The Landsby seemed like the most modern hotel in town. We reserved the Village Suite for us, our two toddlers and dachshund. The size of the room was spacious and perfect for the kiddos to run around and give us space during bedtime as we placed their travel cribs in the living room. The decor is adorable mid century modern/Scandinavian. Starting with the good, guest service was great. Specifically, Guillermo was pleasant and attentive. We enjoyed the cocktails at MadVin in the lobby. On the downside, upon check-in our room wasn't as clean as we had hoped. The dining area had crumbs and the bedside lamps were very dusty. When I moved the lamp and turned on the light, a cloud of dust flew into the air. Which is unsettling to sleep in or near. The worst part about our stay was the pillows. They were so uncomfortable! No matter how much we repositioned, our necks were in pain and we basically endured two sleepless nights. I requested less fluffy pillows at the front desk, the female behind the counter said she'd make a note of it, but nothing was swapped. It's disappointing to spend approx $900/night and not sleep because of a poor selection of pillows. Unless the Landsby changes out their pillows, I don't see myself staying there again.

Yelp
We had a nice and comfortable stay here over the weekend. The location was perfectly situtated within walking distance to nearby shops, restaurants, wine tasting, and bakeries. Our deluxe room with king bed was cozy and comfortable, equipped with 2 chairs, a small lounge space by a small window perfect for reading and relaxing, small fridge, flat screen TV, and Keurig coffee maker. The bathroom shower included shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The sink area included hand-wash, lotion, hair dryer, and a disposable makeup remover cloth. Our room was located on the 2nd floor by the stairs and elevator. In the morning, it was noisey due to people walking by and housekeeping. We did however have a nice view of the mountains and public parking below. We had dinner reservations at Mad & Vin which was conveniently located by the lobby. They have a nice bar with some table seating. There is a nice courtyard where we enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and chilled. Staff at check-in was friendly and we received two sets of keys to our room and to the door which connected the hotel to the parking garage below. The check-out process was simple and efficient. We dropped off our keys in a basket with the instructions and received an email with our invoice shortly after. There is a $20/night parking fee which we didn't mind due to convenience.

Yelp
Cute boutique hotel. It has everything you need. Very nicely styled. Cute lobby to lounge in. The restaurant inside has an excellent menu, best burger I've had!

Yelp
Love this place! We got engaged here when it was the Peterson Hotel. I love the bar and the rooms are always super clean. I like the centralized location, too.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay at the Landsby yesterday. This is a well appointed property. Although I don't know the history of the hotel, it appeared to have been renovated in recent years. Furnishings and finishes were well designed and sophisticated, while still being warm. Everything was in clean and in order. Most importantly, the bed and linens were super comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. Their staff provided excellent service and was extremely friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. If in Solvang again overnight, the Landsby will be our hotel again.

Yelp
After researching numerous hotels near downtown Solvang, we ended up choosing Landsby for several compelling reasons. The hotel's cleanliness, modern decor, round-the-clock staff availability, & dog-friendly policy made our stay truly enjoyable. The impressive Danish-like architecture gives the hotel a unique & charming feel, transporting you to what feels like another country. It has a convenient restaurant located just below it, Mad & Vin, charges $20 per day for parking, but this didn't bother us much because the parking lot is very close & situated just behind the hotel. The hotel offers excellent customer service -- they were very accommodating when I called to make a reservation & promptly fulfilled my request for a microwave, which was already in our room upon arrival - free of extra charge. They have mini refrigerator in the room with 4 bottles of complimentary mineral water. They also provide ample supplies of conditioners, shampoos, & other amenities. Snacks and wine were available for purchase. We received a list of wine-tasting options, including complimentary and discounted opportunities upon check-in. As mentioned in other reviews, you may hear noises from the adjacent rooms & hallways, and noises from guests going up & down the stairs. While this is something that can be difficult to prevent entirely, some soundproofing measures could potentially help minimize the disturbances. The only downside for us was when the electricity went out for almost 6 hours with no backup generator. But despite the inconvenience of the power outage, we still believe that this hotel is worth considering for our next visit to Solvang.

Yelp
I wasn't too pleased with my stay here. It's one of the nicer hotels in town and centrally located but probably one of the most awful stays I've ever had. The main issue is the thermostat in the rooms. It stays lit up day and night. The glow from this lights up the room and when you're trying to sleep, it's really a nuisance. It might not be an issue if you're a heavy sleeper but I'm not and as a result I got very little sleep. I tried to report this multiple times. The front desk advised me that it did not seem correct and they would send a technician. This never helped. Honestly, I believe this is just how their rooms are. We had friends staying in the hotel at the same time who said they have the same issue. Except with their thermostat, there is a cloth cover that goes over the unit to block the glow. Unless I learn they have replaced these units, I think I'll stay somewhere else Update...I'm going to give them one star. I emailed the manager to voice my frustration. It appears a response to my concerns just isn't warranted. I can't get a thank you for letting us know or anything. I'm sure they'll feel differently when business drops off. I would have been willing to change my review if they reached out but I got crickets

Brighette R.

Yelp
Liz, a waitress at the bar, was absolutely horrid. Not only was she completely dismissive but she was also rude. After waiting over 45 minutes and still having not received the two desserts we ordered (this was all we ordered) she dismissed our question by saying desserts are made to order. We then go on to wait an additional 20 minutes before attempting to flag her down only for her to very evidently dismiss us. Hannah, the manager at the bar, came over to our table and asked about our situation; apologized and brought our desserts out within 5 minutes. However, Liz did not check back in with us until we were about done with our desserts. And every time she walked by our table she would look down or away in an effort to avoid us.

Yelp
Located in the heart of Solvang, The Landsby is a modern hotel with 24 hour front desk service. It is very clean with spacious rooms and up to date amenities. There is a lobby bar as well as the Mad & Vin restaurant within the property. In my opinion, the price point (at least for a Saturday) is a bit steep, but you're paying for the location and cleanliness. Housekeeping does a great job and there's parking on the premise - although $20 a night. Would recommend if you want to be in the center of town as it is very walkable.

Sherry G.

Yelp
Highly recommend! Great hospitality! Front desk checks in via text on how your stay is & if they can accommodate you more in any way. Loved how the water bottles were complimentary in the rooms & they restocked them. Basket of snack is provide & first round is on them. The village suit had an amazing amount of space & even includes your own spacious private patio including a fire pit & cabana w/ an outdoor bed. Fire pit lit upon request. Overall a very clean hotel & LOVED the location. Very convenient for walking everywhere. The hotel gives you a "passport" for selective complementary wine tasting & deals. Paid $20 a night for parking which seems fair especially as everything is walking distance. The restaurant & bar & cafe attached were all great. The duck fries & calamari at the bar & restaurant are DELICIOUS. The hospitality from Alejandra at the restaurant was amazing. The bar was a great ambiance & the staff was very attentive! Everything surrounding this hotel will definitely be a go to for the next time we visit Solvang.

Yelp
I adore this hotel so much! I will only stay here when I am in Solvang. I had a beautiful room with fireplace and outdoor balcony with chairs and table. View of the courtyard. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was roomy. Tastefully decorated. Customer service was excellent. Very kind, helpful, and welcoming. Whatever fragrance they have wafting through the lobby is to die for. I need to call them and ask what it was because I can't stop thinking about it. Lobby offered a cozy space to relax. The restaurant, Mad & Vin, was wonderful. The food was superb and the service was above and beyond. This hotel is dog-friendly and the restaurant allows dogs in their outdoor seating area. It's also perfectly located in the heart of downtown Solvang. Wonderful shopping just steps away.

Pablo R.

Yelp
Nice rooms. Ours was above a courtyard. The bar was cracking at night. All kinds of people

Lisa N.

Yelp
Nice and clean room. Stylish interior. Staff were friendly and attentive. Lots of parking outside. Close and walking distance from many restaurants and shops. Overall great experience while staying at Solvang area.

Mickey T.

Yelp
Easily the nicest hotel in Solvang. Perfect location right in the middle of everything but always seems peaceful. Really like the restaurant Mad + Vin. Has great happy hour food and drink specials at the bar. It's also wonderful sitting outside on the patio. Food quality is good (everything always seems a touch overcooked - Craft House at the Corque probably better) but it's really the service and atmosphere that makes it great.

HJrocks R.

Yelp
Great boutique hotel right smack in the heart of DT Solvang. Walking distance to just about all Solvang has to offer. All the amenities you'd expect at this small boutique location. The bar can get lively at night and they have bikes for their guests use. PRO TIP: save yourself $20 per night by parking on the street. Might be difficult on weekends but there is PLENTY of FREE parking on surrounding streets.

Gohar K.

Yelp
I have been to Solvang many times but always on a day trip. This weekend we decided to stay overnight and chose The Landsby. The location is perfect. Right in downtown Solvang walking distance to restaurants, boutique shops, cafes and more. Lots of fun activities such as renting bikes, fun electric cars and surreys. The hotel is beautiful, with over fifty rooms with a nice lobby and a restaurant that serves good food. They have different size rooms and each room is styled differently. I passed by the village suite that looked amazing with its own patio and outdoor seating area. Would love to stay there in the future with my kids. Prices vary depending on the days of the week and time of the year. Obviously weekends have higher rates so we will try to go during the week. Overall a great place to stay at while in Solvang. Close to everything. Including Los Olivos and Santa Ynez. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

William G.

Yelp
The best place to stay in Solvang hands down. Perfectly situated close to all shopping and restaurants. We splurged on the Junior King Suite and were very happy. It was large and well-appointed, with two TVs, a comfortable sitting area, and a large bathroom. There was also plenty of closet space. The suite had a door out to the courtyard, where there was comfortable seating and firepits. A great bakery is across the courtyard. The artwork by Rachel Brown displayed throughout is terrific, and we bought a print for home. Mad & Vin is the hotel's restaurant. We had dinner once and were pleased. It has good service, a decent wine list, a quiet ambiance, and solid food. The mushroom-laden bucatini was generous in size and tasty but suffered from a little too much sauce. The salmon was generous and well-cooked, and the broccolini was great. Parking is easy and worth $20 a night, as street parking is limited and busy. My only nit is that the mattress was too soft and the pillows were not great.

Karen N.

Yelp
Great modern hotel with parking garage and lot ($20) Nice clean aesthetics, and cute courtyard. Mad &Vin. Restaurant conveniently inside. Very reasonably priced for a beautiful room in the cute town of Solvang. A perfect stay if you want to do some wine tasting in Los Olivos

K W.

Yelp
Lobby Bar - we stopped here for Happy Hour (4-6!) and had great service (drinks and duck fat fries ) . I ordered a mai-tai , after checking for ingredients, the opening bartender (I'm so sorry I didn't get his name - 12/9/24 at 4:30) , mixed me a Trader Vic's style mai tai and it was very good! He also offered me a slightly different recipe with coconut . Both were great ! The service from the bartender and server were exceptional ! Definitely recommend !!!

Melissa A.

Yelp
We absolutely love the Landsby! The host Mario is very sweet and hospitable and the rooms are lush and warm. Since they rehabbed this hotel we've had a great experience with the staff, the restaurant and the bar. It's a fabulous find in Solvang.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
This was a uniquely stylish place to stay. Service was great. I would definitely recommend.

Briseno S.

Yelp
Our stay was 10/10. Everything was amazing. Customer service, the ambiance, the food & everything was walking distance. Location was great. The food delicious. If you have kiddos get a s'mores kit at the front desk they will love it.

Mary G.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to stay in Solvang and Santa Barbara County! Highly recommend! Such a great staff and customer service.

Linda F.

Yelp
Lovely hotel located in the heart of Solvang! Beautiful rooms with wide plank, flooring, and shutters. On an especially hot California day, the mini fridge was filled with complimentary water. Restaurant and piano bar downstairs was bustling with happyTravelers. We especially enjoyed the virtual concierge's who had answers to our questions without fail.

Manny D.

Yelp
What went well ? Everything ! I love the Landsby ! From start to finish absolutely amazing. The room is amazing. The staff....amazing. The restaurant amazing ! Hannah , Frederick , GQ Lucas all fabulous ! I can't wait to come back...

Erica B.

Yelp
Super cute pet friendly hotel in Solvang! Me and my dog visited solvang and for danish days and had the best time staying here. It was very centrally located and walking distance to everything!

Adrian A.

Yelp
What a beautiful and swanky hotel for this area! Definitely a great place to stay in this area. You can tell the interior design was very well curated. The rooms are very nice and clean. Comfortable beds BUT the walls are a bit on the thin side. I was awoken bright and early by a vacuum slamming across the floor above me most like by the cleaning staff. Other than that my stay was very good

Susan L.

Yelp
Stayed for one night after a disastrous night in Santa Barbara. We were scrambling trying to figure out where to stay for our second night on our girls' weekend trip, and this place popped on our search for potential places to stay. Since we walked by on our stroll through DT Solvang, we decided to pop in to see if we liked it. And we were completely CHARMED by this hotel! We stayed in a double queen room overlooking a private courtyard and it was perfect. Pros: - Staff! When we wandered in my friend unloaded our horrid night in Santa Barbara. They kindly let us know there were vacancies for that night and even led us on a room tour to the double queen we eventually stayed in, as well as their biggest suite. Staff was friendly, sympathetic, and very accommodating. I really appreciated that they took the time to listen to our woes. - Location, location, location! This hotel was right in the middle of the main DT area, and everything was a quick walk away. Also very close drive to nearby wine country - Double queen room we stayed in was the perfect size. The bathroom was spacious, even had a jacuzzi tub. It overlooked a courtyard, which had a few fire pits. The hotel was selling (not completely sure if it was being sold or just came in the room) marshmallows to roast over the firepits. - There was a small but tiny parking lot. Staff mentioned there was more parking available in another location, but we were able to find spots on a Saturday. - There was a restaurant attached to the hotel, in case you were too lazy to go further for food - Wine Comps! When we mentioned to staff that we were going wine tasting, staff immediately shared a lovely guide that showed places that offered complimentary wine tastings (there were about 4-5 locations) since we were guests of the hotel. There was also a variety of places that offered 2 for 1 tastings, both in town and in neighboring wine areas. What a deal! Cons: - Only sad spot was that this hotel did not have a pool. It ultimately didn't matter as my friends and I went wine tasting, but this would have been the perfect hotel if there was a pool. Would I come again? Yes! Now I know to stay in Solvang rather than Santa Barbara

Makeda M.

Yelp
What an amazing staff. From start to finish the staff has been amazing. We were greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcoming. The staff provided us with a map of solvang and provided us with a wine tasting experience for two so unexpected.I received text messages asking if I needed anything. The room amazing so clean and warm I couldn't believe it.I have never felt so comfortable in a hotel room before so high end.I will definitely be back and letting others know about this place. So if you deciding rather or not this is the place for you think no more it is book it now,you won't be disappointed.

Emily R.

Yelp
The hotel itself is extreme well taken care of and very cute. However, it is very noisy in the hallways upstairs at allllll times. Maybe we were unlucky but both nights we were there, other guests were loud all throughout the night. In the morning, housekeepers were very loud while in the hallways. We had the do not disturb sign on the door and they still knocked. I told them we did not need service and a little while later, they knocked again. Parking is not included which is kind of annoying since the room is on the pricier side. The restaurant downstairs was awesome. Overall, the stay was okay. I wouldn't be opposed to staying here again but it wouldn't be my first option.

Dorothy C.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel, maybe the loveliest in Solvang. Why one star? I'm in the room right now, and the hotel booked a dinner party in the courtyard right outside our room, with about 60 guests and a lot of noise. I'm forced to go out tonight to avoid this even though I wanted a quiet night in. Honestly, if they would have told me when I booked, I would have booked at another hotel. What a nightmare. This party, about 10 feet from where I'm sitting now, will go on for several hours, I am told. This is a pricey junior suite I'm in. Unbelievable how rude this establishment is to put us in here. I talked to the front desk who said she will "make a note" for the manager who comes in tomorrow, the day we check out. We will see what happens... If you are considering staying here, ask if they are having a loud party right outside your room during your stay! Super annoying. ---------------------- Update: I spoke to the manager, Brian, who was very gracious and professional, and he explained sometimes they do not know what the sales dept does on their end, and comped the last night. He didn't mess around with "how about 30%" like some establishments do, which I never understand, because the guest leaves with a bad taste and won't return, but Brian knew how to handle this! This hotel is definitely top notch. We ended up eating there every day and night -- the food was so good! Bed was super comfy and the courtyard is a dream. Five stars!

Francesca M.

Yelp
We had a lovely stay at this cute hotel. Very clean and the staff was friendly. The aesthetic was also really trendy and great for a short vacation. My only concern was there is plenty of onsite parking, but they charge $20/night, which I thought was silly since the hotel itself isn't cheap. But other than that, it was a great stay. I would also recommend making a reservation at the restaurant there! Or grabbing a drink at the cocktail bar.

Jolene L.

Yelp
Very good location in Solvang, nicely renovated, rooms were in great condition and we were very happy with our stay. Sweet of them to provide water and a mini fridge in the rooms. Wish I knew in advance that they worked with wineries nearby because I would have made time in my vacation to make use of that. Would stay again especially considering the restaurant downstairs was one of the highest rated in Solvang.

Priscilla C.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay in the Deluxe King room! The room was spacious and even had a small sitting area. The hotel itself was really well decorated, updated, and modern which can be hard to find in Solvang. Some not-so-ideal things we had were that the handle on the tub was broken off so we had to be gentle and the shelf under the sink looked like it hadn't been dusted in a while. Overall great stay & will probably be our go-to when we come to Solvang again!

Kelsey C.

Yelp
Lovely accommodations, great location. Nice restaurant downstairs, a great deal on random weekdays. Easy parking and no need for the car if you're just checking out the town. Polite and friendly service, plenty of privacy and nice, clean rooms. Had a great time, would definitely stay here again.

Cathy L.

Yelp
This was a nice hotel located in the heart of Solvang. We did an overnight trip and really enjoyed our short stay here. It was so cool to get a physical key to our room. Our room was so HUGE -- big bed, lots of space in and around everything. It didn't feel cramped like other hotels. Very clean and tidy. The staff here were amazing and friendly despite our stay being very close to Christmas. We closed down the bar in Mad and Vin and chatted with the bartenders who were working a very busy shift with the dining area. It's in a very convenient location where you can walk up and down the main strip and not have to worry about driving around and looking for parking. Can't wait to come here again!

Jamie B.

Yelp
Luxury and class in this hotel. I was pleased with all the parking in the back. Very easy. Just go to the back and park prior to checking in. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The lobby has bar service and very comfortable seating. You can order bar food but not from the restaurant menu. The room, single king, was comfortable. We had a courtyard view. Meh. See if you can get something else. The furnishings were well kept and comfortable. The bathroom was new and clean. I was impressed with how quickly the staff took care of our room in the morning. Fast and efficient. Just a delightful place. The restaurant is really busy for dinner. You need a reservation in advance. You can, however, get takeout which is what we did. It was great. It's less busy for breakfast and brunch. No reservations needed.

Natasha W.

Yelp
In the market for the perfect Solvang getaway? We couldn't recommend this hotel more. The property it's led is gorgeous & in the middle of downtown. The restaurant Mad & Vin in the lobby was one of our favorite meals. Our room was spacious, clean, and the balcony was plus! They also have fire pits and fireplaces throughout the property which was nice to relax by with a book. Next time we're in town we know where we'll be checking in!

Argin M.

Yelp
Awesome restaurant. Best cocktails in solvang. Friendly staff. Nice ambiance as well.

Corey S.

Yelp
I love this place. They have fun cocktails, beer and wine in the bar. The food is great. The plus though is how dog friendly they are. We were able to take our dog into not just the bar but also the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the service was perfect.

Christine D.

Yelp
A++ for location, right in the middle of everything although Solvang generally is not that big and most hotels in the general vicinity are within walking distance. Updated/modern decor, great lobby area. You also get a wine tasting card to get alot of 2 for 1 deals in the area which we took advantage of. The only downsides are that the rooms can be a bit dark and could use some additional lighting (at least for the regular deluxe rooms), and the walls are pretty thin and they have wood floors in the rooms so you tend to hear very loud noises or people walking upstairs. At one point we heard a very loud humming noise in the early morning hours right next to our room for at least 10 minutes and right when we were about to call the front desk, it stopped.

Yelp
My husband and I try to visit The Landsby twice per year as it is the perfect mid-week escape! (It is located centrally in town and is close to wine tasting rooms, shops, bakeries.) The rooms are stylishly Scandinavian with comfortable beds and are always clean and perfectly fresh. Of note is the warm welcome and attention to detail by the staff. Whenever we make a request in our reservation, it is always acknowledged at check-in, further evidencing the great customer service! The hotel restaurant Mad & Vin is excellent. We have eaten at many other restaurants in Solvang, but we put Mad & Vin right at the top of our list. (The hotel bar has a happy hour too with creative cocktails and delicious bites!) Yes, we love this place.......we'll be back in December!

Yelp
Basically paid $500+ to not sleep at all. If you're reading this and you have children: THIS IS NOT THE HOTEL FOR YOU. No one wants to hear your kids play around and yell all night. Extremely thin walls so we were subjected to children literally screaming at the top of their lungs next door from 6-9 pm, stomping around for hours on end (with encouragement from the parents saying "I'll race you" and running around the room), and loud road noise most of the night. Not to mention the people in the bar/ lobby yelling and shouting playing board games until past midnight..... also, if you have a room on the street you'll have extremely bright lights coming through the window shutters all through the night. For the price of this place the leasttttt they can do is hang black out curtains. If you're in room 40 or 41... RUN away! You're above the hotel bar and next to the stairs where people will yell and stomp going up and down up and down. Last but not least: this is a dog friendly hotel and we heard dogs barking on and off for most of the evening. Definitely not a pleasant stay and was not worth the money or headache.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I recently stayed at the landsby and after our stay we wish we would have gone with something else. First thing you should know is all the staff is absolutely amazing and that's the best thing they've got going for them. Outside of that there isn't much, the room we stayed in was extremely extremely tiny and was not friendly if your above 5'6, the ceiling are all slanted and make it hard to maneuver in the room. Next is the state of the room, the sheets and pillowcases were both very dirty and we found several sweat stains, blood droplets, along with other mysterious stains. As well as our bed was not comfy and was very stiff. When we woke up the alarm clock they left bedside had already been set too 5:30 which we were not aware of so plan on getting up early. Overall the Landsby is an overpriced stay and I wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone.

Always such a sweet spot and tonight our happy hour couldn't have been more welcoming and yummy! Thank you Erika and the team over there for being so good at what you do!

Yelp
The hotel itself was beautiful. We stayed in the deluxe king room. The price was great, and the room was super clean! The only downside was that around 8pm to midnight, we heard tons if banging on the walls. Aside from that, the bar was beautiful with great, strong drinks and the staff was super nice! Will definitely be staying here next time I visit!

Yelp
We were extremely pleased with our stay. We were blown away with their customer service even before we arrived. They reached out to us a week prior to our arrival for an upgrade option at no additional cost due to repairs going on in the building we originally booked. Now that's proactive! Everything about this place was above what we expected. The grounds and the decor was spot on! The building and rooms have great character, especially with our Dutch door to the courtyard. We stayed in room 51 and loved loved loved it!!! Happy hour great value but also extremely delicious. We took advantage of the fire pits multiple times. Nice touch they provide you with a wine passport which has amazing 2-1 tasting offers. We absolutely are raving about this hotel to everyone that will listen. Thanks so much for a profoundly amazing stay!
