The Spring 2018 Restaurant Opening Guide: Cape and Islands | Eater Boston

"After Land Ho! closed, the space quickly transitioned under new ownership to the Lanyard Bar and Grill, where the new team (including Ben Porter) doesn’t intend to make many changes to the food or price point but has added some barbecue to the menu. The offering includes fried seafood, sandwiches, tacos, and appetizers such as stuffed quahogs and fried mac and cheese." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Went on a low key Monday night with my husband! He had the lanyard burger which he enjoyed (came with lots of fries) and I had the Mexican steak bowl! It was delicious! Steak was cooked perfect!

Absolutely an excellent experience. Food was the best we had at the Cape. Great value. From the coconut tequila, steak and lemon cake all excellent. We kept going back well worth it. We will definitely be back next year

First time visiting. Came for dinner (4:30 ish), group of 2 people. We were seated in the back room (by ourselves) by a guy working there, 15-20 minutes go by and no one came to take our drink/food order. I can see the guy who sat us making drinks behind the bar (he never came back to our table). Finally made eye contact with a waitress, she realizes we haven’t been helped & takes our order. After she walks away we can hear her talking about us to other employees about our interaction (very unprofessional). Appetizer finally came out ~20 minutes later. We had a different server check on us occasionally, but time between each check in was long…again we are the only ones in the back room. As we were finishing our meal a group was seated in the back room with us. Seemed like the man who originally sat us knew them personally cause he was at that table constantly. In the 20 minutes they were there they got more attention from him/everyone than we did the 1hr 15 minutes we were there. The guy walked to the back corner right next to our table to adjust the lighting & didn’t even look at or talk to us. As we were leaving we pass him & he finally said “have a good night”. Overall service was terrible, didn’t seem crazy busy. Food was decent...BBQ flatbread was better than the garlic cod. Veggies were not cooked enough & the servings for the sides were small for the price of the meal. As someone visiting the area I was not greeted the way I expected.

We had a great experience at The Lanyard with a family of 5. We went for appetizers, dessert, lobster rolls, and it was all fairly priced and great tasting. The best part of it were the friendly staff, who gave us all sorts of great recommendations for local spots and we enjoyed all of them. Definitely worth the stop!

Firstly, the wait staff is amazing, they alone get 5 stars. I got the baked cod which was disgusting. It was extremely mushy... almost like they baked it and let it sit in some water right before putting it on my plate. I was there with 6 others that also didnt particularly like their food very much.... nooooooooo way we will be back here.

Stopped in for a meal and the watering hole was kinda crowded so no photos of it. Dining room had only 1 patron, so check out the decor. Like every other time, I was presented with a really good meal with awesome service. Mr. P. Says, I'll be back, 😉😁😁😎 Best fried oysters I ever had. Unfortunately, takes me about four hours to get there from here. And they are less expensive than the clams. Saw all walks of people, from toddlers to grandparents spoiling them. Nice place inside, bar side or restaurant take your pick and enjoy I try to partake in the festivities every few years. Don't be confused by the name, it used to be landhoe or something like that. Food is still all good.✔🎯😊

Excellent spot in Harwich Port. I’d highly recommend the fish and chips. The fish is fresh and has a crispy batter that holds up well and doesn’t get soggy when you add vinegar or lemon. Great fries as well.

My first time there, I have to say it was amazing. The hostess Jen was absolutely amazing, she was so very pleasant. The waitress Taylor was perfect very attentive, checking on me during my meal. The food was amazing, I had the special Chicken Permvera, the portion was big and flavorful absolutely perfect. The drinks were great, I had my favorite Long Island Iced tea, made just perfect. Thank you for a very good first impression. I will definitely be back. I'm going to bring my friends for dinner.
