What a find - can’t wait to return! We were there for weekend brunch, and if you’re a coffee lover, you’ll be so happy before you even get to the food! But then the food - AMAZING! My fave of everything we tried was the Cachapa (cheese-stuffed corn pancakes), but I think everyone at the table had different faves, and overall we agreed that everything was delicious. The service was also outstanding, and the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and lovely.

I’d give 6 or more stars if I could! 1000% recommend. The food was all amazing, the coffee was roasted by the restaurant, and the owner was a delight. Some of the best food I’ve had in a while.

One of the best South American food spots I’ve tried in the city! The service was incredibly warm, and every dish was a highlight—the empanadas were perfectly crispy on the outside with tender meat inside, and the shrimp stuffed with lump crab and Moqueca offered generous portions with rich seafood flavors. The Lanzaga chicken with coffee rub was wonderfully seasoned. Their desserts, like the passion fruit cheesecake and flan, were delightful and not overly sweet. Will definitely be returning to explore more of their menu!

Food is great! I got the walleye with barley. It had such a good flavor and was cooked to perfection. My friends come here a lot and they love everything they’ve had. Doesn’t have much of a dinner ambiance, but do yourself a favor and give it a chance!

We saw that this restaurant opened recently and decide to check it out. We are glad we did. This is a vey pleasant place with a nice atmosphere and great service. The food was excellent and looked as good as it tasted. I had the biscuits and gravy which came with 3 eggs and potatoes. My wife had the crab cake appetizer which was large enough to be an entree. The portions are generous and the food quite good. The coffee was also very good. The waiter told us that they roast their own beans. Overall it is a very nice place and we will be back to try their dinners. I am happy to have this new addition to the neighborhood.

Uber took a while to get here. And im so glad i tried this place out. Inspired by south American cuisine is their motto. Its an art gallery cum central perk ( friends) cum chic cafe that has a vast menu of south American delicacies and coffee. This was one of the best coffees I've had while in Chicago. An Indonesian roast blend. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly about the menu. What i loved is the portion size and taste Total value for money. It was perfect to watch the rains and have a wholesome breakfast Will surely recommend this place to everyone especially tourists who need good WiFi, clean toilets and great food !

Want to start by saying the service was great! Cesar was an excellent server and other staff were also very friendly. Now to the best part, I am LOVING that we have a South American restaurant now. The food is incredible. We got the Peruvian Crab Benedict, the Suelta la Sopa, the Maracucho, and the Biscuits and Gravy with Chorizo. All dishes were incredibly flavorful had had that South American taste and feel that I’ve been longing for, for such a long time. I am so excited to have this place in Lakeview! Can’t wait to frequent this place!

Recently spotted this newly opened southern American restaurant on a website and decided to give it a try as a new bird. I love southern American taste and have high expectation on this spot. The food turned out very good, especially the crab Benedict, I was complaining the price a little bit, but the crab cake is huge and stuffed me too much. It’s purely just crab meat which is very delicious. The potatoes are sweet and taste good, but I wish there is some vege to balance out the grease from the Benedict. My friend ordered Plato paise and he liked it too. I never eat bananas but I’d take their plátano frito. The service was great, but the furnishing and atmosphere overall is not very nicely done - too plain, it’s a little bit hard to attract customers to spot this place, especially when the price is not low. Hope they can work better on the atmosphere and furnishing.

Came looking for a restaurant we used to frequent, and found The Lanzaga instead! Got the walleye pike and the fish stew for dinner and both were delightful. They have a great little grab and go section of desserts, snacks, and drinks. Friendly service and cute decor. Definitely want to come back to try their breakfast/brunch and coffee!

Vegan options would be GREAT! I live near this place and I'm so happy to see it up and running. I have consistently gotten very tasty coffee drinks from here, and it is evident the employees care about the quality of their offerings and customer experience. I really want to try to the food here, but I eat vegan and unfortunately they have very little to offer in terms of vegan meals. There is a large community of vegans/vegetarians in the area, so I would encourage them to build out 1-3 vegan options as I think it would make it a more enticing option for groups of friends where there may be mixed dietary restrictions.

I love this little neighborhood place. The owner is out front and does a great job of explaining the Argentinian menu. My favorite is the Portabella mushroom burger. Great fries too.

This new restaurant in lake view/boystown is soo good. This area has needed a good coffee spot and this is it plus way more. Coffee is made by them and is very tasty and strong. We also got breakfast and were super happy with the amount of food and flavor of everything. The owner was there and he was extremely attentive. We will be going back there soon.

I randomly stumbled on this place as I was walking around the neighborhood looking for coffee. I was really hungry so I ended up getting a iced Carmel latte with oat milk and a plate that reminded me of arepas but in omelet form , it was good but had a lot of cheese

Excellent Latin American cuisine a short walk from Wrigley Field. Our family of 5 all enjoyed our entrees - stuffed shrimp, the Brazilian BLAT, stuffed portabella, stuffed pepper, and the skirt steak. ¡Todo fue muy excelente! The highlights may have been the free chips for the table (house made with a combination of potatos, sweet potatos, plantains, and maybe one other root...?), and the taqueños appetizer. Cesar took good care of us. The coffee is air roasted in house and smooth as silk. While it ended up being pricier than I anticipated, no regrets - excellent food and service, nice little cafe vibe, and happy to support a new business (he said just 3 months since opening). Check it out!

Coffee was excellent. My husband had the biscuits and gravy with chorizo which was TO DIE FOR. I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon. Only cob was the bacon was a bit fatty. Highly recommend!!

Phenomenal South American food, and best coffee I've had. Desserts and meats are to die for, and breakfast is amazing! The owner, Randy, is incredibly hospitable.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here for brunch. I had the biscuits and gravy. He had the bocata desayuno. We both found the food fresh and tasty. The service was prompt and attentive. We want to come back to try the lunch or dinner menu!

Lovely atmosphere; friendly staff and owner. Outstanding coffee. We had biscuits and sausage gravy, sunny side up egg, crab cake, roasted sweet potatoes; huge portions and all delicious.

Another South American restaurant in the neighborhood! Very cozy spot for many vibes like going out with friends, birthday, date night, remote work, game night, reading a book, you name it. Staff is awesome and super friendly. TY Randy & Cesar for giving us the 411 on everything! 1st- tried their coffee/empanadas in the morning. Best coffee ever! Phone did not eat/drink first for that one 2nd- tried their dinner options and we were very impressed! The chef 1000%. We ended with the maracuya cheesecake that left us wanting more. Very much recommend this spot!!

Amazing coffee roasted in house too! Our barista forced us to make a move in the ongoing communal jenga game which made for an memorable experience!

My husband and I decided to try a new restaurant serving South American cuisine, that a friend told us he had tried this weekend. We just love discovering new places and what a find! I had the absolute best 1/2 chicken that I think I've ever had. The chicken was marinated in a wonderful spice and coffee mixture that was so unusual and delicious! My husband had a really tasty pulled pork cooked in a banana leaf and was served with fresh vegetables that was just excellent. The waiter was so friendly and personable that it was difficult to pass on desserts that he recommended. So glad because the desserts we had were awesome! Very comfortable atmosphere too. We will be back!

Had a delicious brunch with friends! The crab benedict on yuca bread and the cachapas with cheese and eggs were both so tasty. Can't wait to go back and save room for dessert. Service was also stellar.

What a GREAT neighborhood SPOT!! Food is very fresh and authentic. The host is amazing Highly recommend the empanadas and fish stew It's BYOB and they are very accommodating. Return VISITS a MUST!!

Very exciting to have a Latam restaurant in the neighborhood. We had the steak which was very tender, crab cakes and passion fruit cheese cake all excellent! The coffee was a surprise, when we waked in and saw the level of espresso machine there was no way we would leave without trying even though it was dinner. It was exceptional, anytime we go out for coffee in the neighborhood this is our new go to, they roast the beans themselves and it is obvious they take pride in roasting to perfection.

Bright, airy place with very nice, tremendously engaging host/ server, very well thought out menu. Shrimp ceviche especially good, passion fruit desserts lovely. Some dishes could use more heat. BYOB but doesnt say so on the Website , nearest alcohol store 1.5 blocks away. Quiet and good for conversation.

Came in for breakfast. The Peruvian Crab Benedict is phenomenal and a bargain at 24 dollars. The pulled pork is also excellent. And do NOT skip out on dessert it is AMAZING!
