Food gets saltier every time I go. But the service is excellent, and the small plates are always good.

Yelp
The food is always excellent, and the bar service--thank you, Randy--is top-notch. However, the 6% healthcare charge feels offensive. Remember when your parents told you to always read the fine print? They weren't wrong. I've always loved coming to AOC. The food and customer service are consistently outstanding. But it's hard to overlook when businesses shift their responsibility onto customers. If you need to support your employees, factor it into your pricing or find a way to manage it internally. Don't place this burden directly on patrons--it's simply bad practice. I pay for my own healthcare. Does my company tack on a 6% surcharge for customers using our services to cover my benefits? Of course not. It's essentially the same concept here. Do better, AOC.

Yelp
Came for a group event. Service was very slow but the food was okay! Got the omelette which definitely needed some salt/hot sauce but was good. My friend felt the same about her avocado toast. They do validate parking - don't forget your ticket because it is super expensive!! One thing to note: they do not have a mandatory tip/group fee, BUT they add on a 6% fee to cover health benefits for their employees. This was my first time experiencing this and is getting out of the scope of the Yelp review.

Yelp
TLDR Came here for the Spanish fried chicken and was pretty disappointed. Pretty expensive for just okay food and small portion sizes. Wouldn't recommend. Rating Food here was really just okay but the portion size and pricing deducts a star. Parking Metered street parking or paid lots. Atmosphere Nothing really notable. Service Our server halfway through our meal decided to flirt with the hostess instead of serving. Someone else stepped in and we were able to leave. Food Watermelon salad First time having watermelon as a salad. Interesting but nothing special. Okay if you want something refreshing. Green quinoa dumplings Another dish that was just okay. I think it was only 3 dumplings as well. Would skip. Spanish fried chicken It was nice and crunchy but really lacking any wow factor. They do give a generous amount at least. In this day and age with so much better options for fried chicken it really does not compete. Skip.

Yelp
A.O.C. is an LA institution and I've been going to both locations for years but admittedly it's been awhile since I checked out the Brentwood location. Upon first entry you'll note the absolute warm hospitality and greeting of the hosts and hostesses. You feel like you're walking into a family home. The interior of the place is very lively, beautiful blues meet with a rustic interior and on a busy night conversations create almost an orchestral symphony of energy as you look at what's on the menu. For this particular evening I attended a special dinner with Harry's Berries and it did not disappoint! All the flavors were so unique and balanced, just what you'd expect from A.O.C. as they continue to use the best and freshest ingredients for their beautifully plated food. And such an extensive wine list! The glasses do run a bit pricey but they are finely curated, pairs so well with the meal. Parking available in back!

Yelp
This second location is more than one could hope for. In a word, it's perfection. From outdoor dining on the sidewalk to indoor at the casual bar to the indoor rustic upscale dining room, you will find your happy. It's elevated AOC quality with 90 minute free parking. This is one of LA's best kept secrets! See website for hours, location, menus and more.

Yelp
I did not know there was an AOC in Brentwood but here we are. It's a solid brunch spot albeit pricey but when is LA brunch ever affordable? So what makes this place special? Beyond the vibes and location, I'm not too sure honestly. The menu is pretty standard with typical brunch items. Oh! Maybe it's cause they put some twists on them to not be, you know, boring. If I'm going to be honest, I forgot what I ate though. Something with prosciutto and egg I think? It was good but clearly not memorable as I forgot what it tasted like. My girlfriend got their omelette which was nice and light with their creme fraise and all. I remembered that more evidently. All our friends got other dishes but I'm not a barbarian and sampling everything, my stomach space is only so big now. I do recall enjoying the Spanish Fried Chicken when I ate at the other AOC location though so that's always an option too. Anyhow, AOC is nice, it's fun, it's LA. I can now say I've been to this location too.

Yelp
HELLO OLD FRIEND! Used to visit A.O.C. (Appellation d'Orgine Controllee, French certification of wine) in Los Angeles but haven't been in years. Decided to try Brentwood. A.O.C. is located right on San Vicente Blvd and there are outdoor tables (not as inviting as the outdoor patio at the Los Angeles branch). I'd opt for indoor seating. We were seated in the bar area, subdued for a Friday night. The menu is just like the original. Always recommend the bacon wrapped dates to start (savory and sweet) which have been copied at other restaurants but never quite matched. Martinis were good but recommend exploring wine here if you are a vino enthusiast. The clams with toast to sop up the jus is my fave. Very garlicky with scallion garnish. Always a must order for me. The endive and summer squash salad was tart and refreshing. Spanish fried chicken with aioli has a Japanese karaage like texture and made me happy. First time tasting the eggplant paillard; it was pretty good with a deep fried breading and small salad. As I recall the cauliflower (which I have sampled before) was a little better. Three cheese plate was ok, I'd probably go back to the charcuterie board next time. Portions are small, just a lil taste. Overall pleasant meal. Could use an outdoor patio to match the original A.O.C.

Yelp
Stopped by for an afternoon weekend brunch. We made reservation online but it was fairly empty when we were there. The restaurant seemed a bit low in energy, which maybe the vibe they were going for? Definitely didn't have to shout to chat with friends so a nice place for a quiet lunch. The service was excellent, the staff was knowledgeable and service was prompt. They had wine flights which was nice to enjoy. In terms of the food, really enjoyed the bacon wrapped dates. Perfect balance of sweet and salty. I had the chicken and waffles which were excellent. Really well cooked fried chicken, juicy yet crispy. There are several things on the dinner menu I would like to try at some point, perhaps next time. Definitely a solid brunch place!

Yelp
Top notch restaurant in Brentwood - had dinner here with 7 other conference attendees last night. We took an Uber from the Skirball Cultural Center (only in LA do you get picked up by a top of the line latest luxury SUV!), so we didn't have to worry about parking. The restaurant was quite noisy when we got there around 7:30 pm but became quieter as the evening wore on. We started with appetizers (the cheese and bread plate was excellent) and wine (I had a Cabernet Sauvignon), then we all ordered an entrée to share. I selected the Spanish fried chicken which was superb, and also enjoyed the gnocchi and vegetarian meatballs. Dessert - a decadent chocolate tray and pavlovas - was a perfect way to end the meal. Service was decent, and the bathrooms were clean. Will return next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
New American restaurant with farmer's market veggies. Came here for dinner with my family prior to watching a show at the Geffen. Metered street parking available along San Vicente. Made reservations online in advance. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Credit cards accepted. We split an endive salad, charcuterie board, Spanish fried chicken, clams, scallops, broccoli, lobster pasta, and ended with pot de creme for dessert. The standout was the charcuterie board, though my dad was a bit put out by the fact that they only provided one piece of bread. I liked the Spanish fried chicken a lot. Each course came as it was ready and by the time we got to the lobster pasta, we were stuffed. Overall, it was a good meal and there seemed to be a lot of celebrations occurring around us, so it was a nice atmosphere.

Yelp
Healthy place to dine- healthy options that is. Fun ambience as well. Cute block to grab brunch. Valet parking is available or if you're lucky you can find street parking. Green quinoa dumplings a fun sharing dish. It came with 3 falafel size looking balls. The sauce was good. It had a sour taste to it - very unique and delicious! Grilled market fish of the day (sea bass) - this dish was very good! The sauce was excellent. Of course it's more fine dining so portions are on the smaller size If you're in a hurry you may want to let the staff know you're on a time limit. I enjoyed the dinning experience here and would come again.

Yelp
The Cobb salad is incredible and it is not very busy during lunch so the service is great . Not a huge area to dine in but the cutest community of Brentwood

James S.

Yelp
To be clear, AOC is not Tavern, even though several reviews call it Tavern. Also, when AOC Brentwood calls you to confirm your reservation, Tavern shows up on Caller ID. (It's the same owners, in fact.) Though they prefer/rely on OpenTable, that app could not accommodate me for a party numbering other than 2 on an upcoming Monday. Undaunted, I called AOC Brentwood and over the phone they set us up for the ressy. So very convenient. I don't mind Reservation apps, but I prefer to go direct. AOC Brentwood told me in person that OT works for them, and in fact, most of their reviews (they say) come from OT. So, I looked it up, and sure enough, there are lots of reviews there -- recent ones, too. And, nobody refers to them as Tavern. But, most of the those reviews are a sentence long saying yay or nay, without much detail. To me, those reviews are unhelpful. Which brings me here. I want a review that might tell me, for instance, that our server was polished and friendly, and never rushed us. Our server was able to describe the various wines-by-the-glass of varietals I had never heard of. We found the equalivent of a Pinot Grigio and the same for a Sancerre. Both were fine, though the 'Sancerre' one was more complex and flavorful. This stuff matters to me. I want a review that might say that the 'To Start' portion of the dinner menu is a great way to get things going. We opted for both The Farmer's Plate and the Charcuterie board. In the former, the muhamarra and chickpea purée added a great flavor to the roasted veggies, burrata and grilled toast. And yes, the waiter didn't have any difficulty relaying what muhamarra is (roasted red peppers, walnuts, breadcrumbs, chile flakes, and pomegranate molasses). We then split two entrees, and both were wonderful. The Liberty Duck Breast was smooth, tender and juicy - prepared with apples, chicories and Pedro Ximénez. (You go look that one up!) We also enjoyed the house specialty, Spanish Fried Chicken. There's a reason it's well-known here, and quite simply, it's delicious. Think outstanding chicken fingers - moist and full of flavor. The Romesco aioli and the chili-cumin butter only make it more delicious. Somebody at the table needs to order this. We were satisfied with just about everything, including the abundant cold spring water. They don't change out the plates as much I'd like, but they will accommodate if you ask. Dessert will have to wait for another time. The room is gorgeous and roomy, as many mention. The music was not as loud and obnoxious as some reviews suggest. I thought the decibel level was good for the room, and it didn't overpower. As the evening wore on and an even more chill crowd came in, the music shifted from Alt Hits of the 70s & 80s to a more bluesy and soulful selection. When I read up on a restaurant, I want much more than 'It's great' or 'We always come here when in town'. I'm hungry for more than that. Once you get to AOC Brentwood, they can take care of that just fine. You just might need to call them first. And don't call them Tavern.

Alisia F.

Yelp
The menu is mainly comprised of small plates/ tapas style to share. Everything we ordered was tasty: the rustic bread + butter, bacon wrapped dates, endive salad, lamb chops, clams, grilled bluenose bass, broccolini, curry cauliflower, farro + black rice and French fries. For dessert, we ordered ice cream (made in house) and chocolate torta. We all ordered mocktails and cocktails. great presentation! Our server was great! He was attentive and answered our questions about the menu. We will definitely come back.

Maddy M.

Yelp
Had nothing short of a 5 star experience! We came here for brunch on a Sunday morning with a group of ten. We made a reservation prior but even so they could only fit our sized group inside so we missed out on the patio, which looked really cute. The whole restaurant is so aesthetic and cozy. The bar is beautiful, the fireplace was a lovely touch and the building itself, covered in draping vines and colorful tiles was stunning. Their menu is vast from charcuterie boards, to sticky buns, to chicken and waffles. I ordered the brioche and HOT DAMN. My mouth waters just thinking about it. Big fluffy brioche bread topped with cheese, prosciutto, frisee and an over easy egg (though mine was more over medium so I didn't get the full drippy effect). It was a huge plate and I ate every last crumb. The frisee was citrusy and refreshing which helped cut the saltiness of the prosciutto. The chicken and waffles is a must order. It was one of the best I have had in LA! I know, bold statement. The cornmeal waffle was spectacular. While there were no other kids or families there, I brought my baby and it wasn't a big deal. Waitstaff was on top of it with making sure we had what we needed, refills and cleaning up unwanted plates. Would definitely come back again for a girls brunch or for a glass of wine at the bar.

Yelp
Mediocre food! Served wrong wine and even then it was flat wine. Returned! We saw they did the same to the couple seated next to us. They returned as well. Both time waiter came and said it was an order mixup. More importantly the menu bottom says they charge 6% from the final bill for their employees health benefits!!!!! Wait...what??? When did their employees became my responsibility?!? Is that even legal? Smh Fried chicken was actually fried chicken strips probably got from Costco. Wagu beef brisket was a joke. Not surprised if there aren't any repeaters.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Had the most mediocre meal here in recent memory. Stale challah, some fruit, a salad with the same fruit, and slightly dry, uninspired brisket. Store bought ice cream. Would never waste money here again.

winnie r.

Yelp
Fantastic brunch at AOC Brentwood. The 4 of us had not returned since the end of Tavern. We were seated promptly Service was friendly and efficient. As soon as we sat down we ordered bacon wrapped dates. One ordered crab omelette and said it was delicious One ordered r bacon and eggs and asked if she could substitute fruit for potatoes, Not a moment of hesitation by our server. Fruit was farmer's market fresh. Two of us ordered the brisket hash with poached eggs. WOW! Can't wait to eat that again. We left happy and it will be our go-to-brunch place, Prices seemed fair.

Kat A.

Yelp
Not sure why the other reviews are low but I really enjoyed it here! Food is tapas style and perfect to share with one other person. We were seated in a spot outside by a heater and it was so cozy. Each dish we ordered was delicious!! Including our mocktails. I especially enjoyed the market vegetables which came with bread and a sweet cheese (maybe was burrata?) Service was kind and attentive too. I recommend coming here and dining inside for a more posh experience.

Shannon M.

Yelp
Okay so I was actually planning to go next door and by happy mistake walked in here. First of all it's gorgeous inside and outside (highly recommend outside), the ambiance was cute, light and welcoming. We ordered a few things but the biggest stand out- the blueberry bread with lemon butter. I rarely stop talking but I fully stopped to enjoy that bread. Lastly, an extra star for Michael. Speaking of cute, light and welcoming, he made our entire experience even better. I aspire live my daily life with his enthusiasm and authenticity, and he made every dish sound better than the last. :) Thank you for helping make a first date so fun! :)

Adrian M.

Yelp
We enjoyed a nice birthday lunch on a mellow Sunday afternoon during the LA Marathon, it was pretty light crowd. We ordered one burger which was very good, perfectly medium cooked. The fries are ok, barely warm. We also ordered 2 of the Stout brisket mash with fried potatoes. This is a very fatty dish, more fat than meat. My friends had more meat than mine. The soft poached egg runs into the fatty sauce making it less appealing to eat. The potatoes, spinach, and onions were good. I would not recommend this dish, also has too much salt. Service was nice. I'm very put off by their default 6% extra service charge for employee health. The plandemic is long over, most restaurants don't add this tax, and for an expensive place to charge this seems very tacky. You can ask them not to charge it but that's more hassle, so I just deduct 6% off my tip. I don't expect to return. Dinner menu is better in my experience. The pistachio dessert was ok, a little sweet.

Alyssa C.

Yelp
Came for the Dine LA special (Spring 2023). The food was solid, service was decent and the restaurant wasn't too crowded. We made a last minute reservation and were able to park in the lot behind the restaurant (which they validate). We each ordered a cocktail. The cocktails were solid but nothing special. They recommend sharing the plates family style, which we did. For appetizers, we had the charcuterie board and the arugula salad. The salad was a bit plain and the charcuterie board was standard. For entrees we ordered the polenta and the steak with cauliflower and broccolini on the side. the polenta was a bit plain, the cauliflower a bit strong, but the two were a good combination. the steak was good (a bit of a small portion, on a plate the same size as the salad) The broccolini was not my favorite, covered in a strong sauce, but overall okay. For dessert, we had the lemon bar with ice cream (probably my favorite thing of the night). Overall, I might return to try their extensive menu of wines, but I wasn't super pleased with the service (no one came to refill our waters even though we sat through multiple courses).

Lucia M.

Yelp
We came during LA week and had the lunch menu. This is a very nice restaurant, the food was amazingly good, but the service was a bit slow.

Tyler K.

Yelp
Went absolute piggy-mode here the other day. Ate the squid risotto, scallops, and bucket of fried chicken as entrees with a charcuterie board to start. Ordered potatoes and asparagus on the side with the dessert assortment. I love this place! Everything was amazing.

Jaine D.

Yelp
Awful food, amazing service, cool ambience. Went there for dinner, service was amazing but the food was horrendous. We got several dishes; some were just ok/edible others were down right heinous. I would suggest NOT getting the scallops or the lobster pasta. The scallops were a soupy mess and the lobster was rubbery and drowning on some sort of sauce. Despite the entrée debacle, I will say that the wine was good and that the coconut sorbet was awesome but not enough to compensate for the main dishes. They did take some of the items off of our bill, which was nice of them. Overall, if you must go here, go for the drinks just make sure you eat before hand.

Lisa F.

Yelp
Website say they serve lunch until 2:30 . Not true. They close earlier so don't believe times On site. Try Altair's instead, open all day

Marjorie U.

Yelp
I was thrilled to find out that a branch of this restaurant opened up on the west side. I've already visited their other locations in Beverly Hills and at the Hollywood Bowl. Their menu offers a wide variety of dishes that are great for sharing. They also have an extensive wine list for you to choose from. All the tapas we ordered were delicious, and our server Chris was fantastic. He took great care of us throughout the entire evening. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a full bar where you can sit and watch the bartender prepare cocktails. Keep in mind that if you pair your dishes with wine, the cost per person will likely be over $100. It's a great place to take a date.

Mayi B.

Yelp
We had a nice dinner at AOC. What I liked the most was the ambience. The service was friendly and the food was good.

Lyusha G.

Yelp
I don't get the popularity of this place. The food was beautiful but quite bland and unremarkable. We had the farmer's plate that was mostly vegetables, a beet/lentil salad that was begging for an acidic dressing but tasted like nothing, a curry cauliflower side that also didn't seem to have any dressing, the fried chicken that was good, the wagyu oxtail that was good, and the sunchokes that I was so excited about but missed the mark. Decor was cute but not special, service was mild and unobtrusive. Considering the landscape of restaurants in LA, I definitely would never come back.

Peter M.

Yelp
There is a reason why a.o.c (the outside sign does not have upper case letters) ......is always on LA's Top 101 Restaurant List. In addition, the owners, Caroline Styne (master sommelier and restauranteur) and Suzanne Goin (chef and restauranteur), have won numerous coveted awards and accolades on both the local and national culinary scene. Together, Caroline and Suzanne own at least 3 other dining establishments. This was my first visit to a.o.c and I chose to come here for lunch during the spring Dine LA weeks. Lunch consisted of two courses (few choices in each category). First, I had the muhamarra & chickpea puree that came with perfectly grilled toast and shrunk black olives. Both purees were excellent, and they merged well with crisp, partially blackened toast. Second, I chose the grilled striped bass. It came in a bowl with white bean brodo, nettles, and black olive & artichoke salsa. This dish came out warm and I returned it so that it could be heated more. The fish was meaty, tender, fresh and extremely flavorful. The bean brodo was done optimally to contain its texture and juices. Every bite was tasteful and satisfying. The price for both items was $35 dollars. They also add a 5% charge for employee health care benefits. Service was friendly, polite, very attentive and high class. Servers were walking down the aisles periodically, to make sure everyone was having an enjoyable dining experience.

Mj Z.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant this evening, but the waiter's attitude was so strange that we chose to leave without eating. He was going to take an order from us immediately after entering, and we asked him out of respect to give us two minutes to read the menu, but he left the table upset and warned us about our slowness with strange words under his breath. We also objected to his behavior. Of course, a young man from Baghandgaman came to our table more calmly and tried to control the situation. The restaurant hall was quiet, and I think one of the reasons for that is the customers' dissatisfaction with the not-so-friendly behavior of some staff.

Yvonne W.

Yelp
Spectacular! My husband and I came here on Friday around opening and both ordered the Spanish fried chicken sandwich and the Green Goddess non-alcoholic drink. Highly recommend both - the sandwich had so many flavors in it and kind of reminded me of a Vietnamese banh mi because of the pickled vegetables that mix so well with the spicy fried chicken. The Green Goddess drink is like a spicy green juice but not as sweet, which makes it super refreshing to drink. Service was attentive and kind. We were paying via an online gift card we received as a gift, so it took a little longer to have that processed, but the staff were on top of it. Parking was convenient because there was a lot behind the little plaza. To validate parking, just go to the host after you're done with your meal!

Diane M.

Yelp
I'm surprised this spot isn't rated higher! Visited on a Monday and it was almost packed indoors on a rainy night. We ordered the Brussels salad and Tagine. Service was great, and we appreciated that the waitress was honest with us in saying those two dishes were enough for 2 people. The tagine was amazing, one of my favorite fish dishes I've tried at a restaurant in a long while. I wasn't a huge fan of the Brussels salad, and would skip this dish next time. Ambiance is nice, the night we visited there were people in all types of attire at the restaurant, from very dressed up to sneakers and jeans.

Jessica M.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here the other night for date night and luck was definitely on our side. We were lucky enough to find parking right in front & i think there's a parking lot close by too! The reason why we had such a great date night was because our server, Christophe was so pleasant! He had great recommendations, lovely energy and was so hospitable. He made us feel right at home! I think service like that goes a long way when eating at a restaurant. So thank you to Christophe (sorry if I spelled your name wrong lol) for making our evening such a bright spot in our week! We appreciate good people like you! We wanted something "healthy" and fresh. Our favorite appetizer was the Farmer's Plate (this was roasted vegetables with delicious burrata cheese & dips). I also loved my green goddess cocktail! My boyfriend's favorite was the focaccia. A nice, local spot for a dinner date. Enough energy and people to make it feel busy, but not too loud where you can still talk and have a convo. We'd love to come back soon! Thanks, AOC & Christophe!

Andrea s.

Yelp
The food was really good. The service was subpar for a restaurant like this (or anywhere else). To add insult to injury a health service charge was added to the check, we requested it to be removed. Our group had a feeling that the restaurant doesn't want to invest in the upkeep and beauty of the restaurant, or to their own employees

Lee G.

Yelp
I've really enjoyed this place the few times I've been. The ambiance, cocktails, and wine are excellent. The service is kind and attentive. The food is good, but I wouldn't say mind blowing. The clams, squid, and charcuterie plate were standouts in my opinion. The lobster pasta was underwhelming as was the steak. It's nice to come here on special occasions, but if you're looking for an incredible meal you'll remember forever, you can definitely find better for the price. That being said, I'd definitely still recommend a.o.c.

Yelp
Lucky us to have had the most wonderful rehearsal dinner at A.O.C. Brentwood. It was pure pleasure working with Private Events Manager, Alex Moore. He took such great care of us and made sure everything was perfect for all of our guests. He and his colleagues, Restaurant Manager, Brian, along with the Bar Manager, Reuben, were the Dream Team. Such delightful folks and the entire staff was "on it." The food was de-lish and the service was excellent! A great time was had by all!

Ani G.

Yelp
Im giving 2 stars for the food that smacks. Service, idk man, hire more people? We've been sitting here for 20 minutes outside and seems like yall forgot about us? Just bring the check lol!!!

Jerry H.

Yelp
Amazing food! Creative flavors and presentation. Great service. One of my new favorite restaurants. Hope to go back on my next trip to LA.

Robert G.

Yelp
Did not enjoy the food at this place one bit. Multiple dishes tried. Over priced, overrated. Not worth the money spent. I did enjoy the ambiance and the glass of wine.

Selam S.

Yelp
Decided to try out the Brentwood location after having lunch awhile ago at the Beverly Hills location. Unfortunately brunch wasn't too spectacular... The sticky bun was a bit over cooked and hard. The chicken and waffles was a hearty size so I shared it with my husband. There is a bit of spice (which I love) to the chicken but just a heads up to those who don't like a bit of a kick! Street parking was easy and we were able to make a reservation the day of via OpenTable. Waiter was nice as well.

Spencer K.

Yelp
Food was great. Ambiance was quite inviting and had a nice subtle holiday vibe. Service was attentive and the bartender aptly described a varietal of wine with which I was not familiar. Very good place for celebrations or a family get together, a date, or just a place to get a bite with co-workers. I would not recommend coming here alone to get out of the house to have a glass of wine a few days after your significant other tells you they are moving to New York to be with a prominent and wildly successful plastic surgeon. Other than that very specific carve out, I recommend the place.

Suzanne S.

Yelp
Amazing. Lively and good energy in the room. Fresh options farm to table. Food was great! Our server Dana was fantastic. Attentive, personable and always smiling. She was on the entire night and had such a beautiful and pleasant personality. Any requests was a no problem happy to do that response. She offered to have us try the champagne/ wine before committing to a glass which made it extra special and nice. I love restaurants that offer that. It makes it that much better! Dana is a gem! She made a positive impact to my birthday dinner.

Kangaroo K.

Yelp
Wish the server was nicer..he was quite snooty for the whole time, and he was literally checking the tip on the bill. Not sure i would go back. The ambience was nice as always.

Leem T.

Yelp
Great service every time here. Must order whatever focaccia they have, must order the wild black rice and currants dish. I usually get whatever fish dish as well and they are always satisfying.

Tiffany Y.

Yelp
Came here for a lunch date around 12:30 on Thursday and there was plenty of seating. We ordered the bacon-wrapped dates, hangar steak, and fried chicken to share! I asked for Medium on the steak but there were a few pieces that still looked like they were on the Medium Rare side. The salad and fries were both good too -- it was a solid meal to share.

Yelp
We rushed home because we were supposed to meet my friends for dinner in Brentwood at A.O.C. Brentwood at 5 pm for dinner. We got back just in time, and found parking on the street but as we were parking, we saw my friends walking in the alley next to the restaurant. We got there at 5:05 pm after parking our car, and then went in to be seated. I thought that we were there early for the happy hour specials, but we sat down in the main section of the restaurant. We started with roasted almonds which were delicious, and then also a plate of mixed olives. We also got a small loaf of crusty bread which went terrifically with the almonds and olives. Then, we got some smoked salmon, and then added three vegetables: a roasted cauliflower (which was good but a little salty and also a little heavy with oil), a seared Brussels sprouts dish (also a little salty) and Jerusalem artichokes (or sunchokes) with Yukon gold potatoes which were excellent and not too heavy. We also got a Spanish fried chicken which was excellent, and we ate every single piece down to the crumbs. Overall, the food was great but the company was better as the staff at AOC Brentwood answered all of our questions but were also seamless in their execution of service. All around we had a memorable experience there - although it was a bit pricey, it was well worth it for us!

Yelp
A popular restaurant in Brentwood for politicians to host fund raising dinners. The ambiance is great for special occasion celebration. Unlike its former self Tarvin, AOC ( not the NY politician) serves Spanish like tapas. All foods come in small dishes and they are meant for sharing. We came to celebrate my wife's birthday. Among the tapas dishes we ordered included the popular farmer's plate, Faccacia bread, Spanish fried chicken, soft crab, calm and garlic, curry cauliflower, hanger steaks and duck confit. We were told that we should order two dishes per person. The amount of food was just right to keep us all fed. All of the dishes were delectable. We particularly liked the farmer's plate and hanger steaks. The veggies and the cheese were quite fresh and delicious. The toasted sourdough bread was amazing. The hanger steaks were grilled to perfection on the medium rare side. I loved the grilled beef taste. Our waiter was very attentive on serving us. He kept an eye on the food and ensured the food came out on time. The only complaint I have is the bank busting price tab on the dishes. For a small dish like the 4oz hanger steak, it would set you back $25 and the duck confit that can barely give you one bite costs $26. Since dishes come in very small tapas sizes, you have to order many. The dinner bill would come to a few hundred dollars for a party of 4. Parking is in the back of the restaurant and they would validate.

Yelp
Came here for a baby shower and was impressed with how attentive and friendly the staff is here! Our cake got ruined in the car and the staff took it to the back and had the baker fix our cake just like new! Food and drinks were delicious too but I have to give the wonderful staff members five stars!
