A filmmaker-owned cinema by the creators of A Quiet Place, with Dolby Atmos, 35mm projection, a lounge, and a rooftop offering Mississippi River screenings. Covered by Iowa Public Radio for elevating the region’s movie culture.
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you might miss it". When my beautiful wife and I were traveling into the quad cities she spotted in the distance a rooftop bar and that’s all I needed to hear. It was an unusually warm spring day and a rooftop bar sounded perfect. Parking was easy and as we explored the area we were astonished by how much there was to do! Clothing stores record shops, restaurants and all sorts of different things. But when we arrived we were happily surprised it’s a movie theater!! 😮 The Last Picture House! We had no idea! So unfortunately we didn’t see a movie, we already made our plans to enjoy the outside. So we got delicious drinks and headed upstairs. The rooftop was fantastic! Tables and booths perfect for conversation as well as an astroturf area with a golf game projected on the wall! The view was great! You get to see the river as well as the hustle and bustle of the city; very picturesque. I highly recommend popping in! The posters were cool, the menus were on dvd cases and the drinks were on point. We unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy the movie and we can’t go back today but perhaps soon because you know what they say "After all, tomorrow is another day".

This is a wonderful option for movie going outside of the big theatre experience. We bought tickets online and it seems like if you haven't been before it's kind of hard to get a feel for the seating arrangements you're actually picking. Us and another couple both ended up with seats we didn't enjoy/weren't expecting based on the online seating choices but were able to refund our purchase and choose new seats, so it didn't end up being a huge deal, I'm only mentioning it so that if anyone else encounters this they know they have the option to change to seats that haven't been purchased yet. We definitely prefer the balcony seating. Staff was very helpful and friendly!

Loved my time at The Last Picture House! The cocktails were fantastic, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. Having Bio-Dome playing on one of the many TVs was such a great touch. Can’t wait to come back!

The Last Picture House has an excellent atmosphere and is well worth a visit. The food and drinks before your movie are fantastic. Their sound system inside the theaters I think is Dolby Atmos, and is arguably the best in the Quad Cities.
They curate an interesting selection of older movies from time to time while also keeping up with new releases. What a fun place to visit!

A movie theater with craft cocktails?! Are you kidding me?!
Look at how delicious this looks. And… it tasted just as good as it looked!
This post was made in connection with a Toast promotion.

Excellent place to enjoy a movie experience! The atmosphere is boutique, theater is rather comfortable, and the sound is amazing! We saw Twisters and felt like we were inside the action. The food and staffing are top notch! Can’t wait to go there again.

I loved The Picture House! Just a wonderful place to see a great flick, with a cool vibe, comfortable seating, and it gave me nostalgia for the old school single screen places I went to as a kid. Popcorn was amazing. I will definitely be going back multiple times!

Very good experience! Lady's were very nice at the desk, charging us criminal amounts for food and whatnot, but still a really nice place. Loved the little davenport history lesson before the movie started, as someone who doesn't live in the cities, it was very interesting. Movie quality was amazing. A really good atmosphere, very cool place. I just love how it looks.

Yelp
This place is seriously one of the coolest things to come to the Quad Cities, and should be a HUGE source of hometown pride for all who live there... I grew up in Bettendorf and I am so ecstatic to see the entire QC becoming such a vibrant arts and culture hub!
Places like The Last Picture House highlight this community's growth!
Not only is this a movie theatre, it is a love letter to the art of film and the people who love to watch them. With a beautiful cocktail bar, concessions stand with all the staples, and two full-sized screens, there's nothing more needed for a fantastic night.
I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
What a great idea. A lounge area with adult drinks and a movie theatre. This is a cool theatre. A really good setting with old movie posters and decor. The popcorn is fresh and delicious. They have a good selection of candy, slushies , sodas and popcorn seasoning. Very friendly service also. The theatre is clean and has a beautiful view of the Mississippi River and bridge.

Yelp
What a fun place. And $6.00 show tickets on Tuesday, what a deal. Our first time attending a show here. Walked in and the place and the employees were very welcoming. Love the decor and the vibe here. I ordered the curtain call cocktail, it was very good, not too sweet and served in a nice cocktail glass. We also got a large popcorn (could of used a little more butter) and fountain drink. We will definitely come back and for a cocktail to just sit and relax and enjoy it. Headed to the movie, signage wasn't very large or clear where we were to head to. Employees kindly directed us up the stairs. We picked seats up stairs in the balcony for room #1. Comfy seats even cup holders to fit my cocktail and best spot to watch the movie. The whole experience was great and a lot of fun. We will make this a frequent spot to visit.

Yelp
Intimate vibe but plenty of personal space! There is a bar and they let the alcoholic drinks while you watch the movie. We brought a big group to see Wicked. And it seemed like every one else did too!

Yelp
The Last Picture House is a phenomenal movie going experience. Being able to hangout in the bar area, that contains plenty of amazing drinking options, is a great place for before and after seeing a movie. Their popcorn is the best popcorn I've ever had at a theater. Listening to the Dolby Atmos surround sound system pits you inside the movie, especially any type of thriller or action (A Quiet Place: Day One was fantastic to listen to). Haven't been to a rooftop movie, but plan on it.
