A true hidden gem in Ann Arbor. The cocktails are the best in town, and uniquely crafted. The service is always impeccable, staff are extremely knowledgeable and always accommodating. It’s a speakeasy vibe with a modern twist. The house band plays on Thursday and is a must if you haven’t been in. I recommend booking a reservation on busier nights, if not that’s okay because they always are super good about getting tables seated quickly and fitting people in. The Last Word is definitely top notch. Check them out if you haven’t already. 🥂

Both the food and drinks were excellent. I had the pimento cheese and fries with the dips and both were incredible. For the drink I had the islay sour, which is probably in my top 5 for best cocktails I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend checking out this place.

This was our 2nd or 3rd time coming here. We made a reservation (it’s always quite busy) and got seated right when we arrived. Kevin was our bartender and he’s very friendly. We enjoyed a tasty cheese board and a couple of cocktails. My husband’s House Manhattan was fantastic and my Coco Bay was delicious. I wish their bar chairs were a bit more comfortable. Otherwise we really enjoyed our visit.

Very good drinks with fresh ingredients, delicious fries, and great service. Very lively band that looked like they were having as much fun as they were giving. Definitely people who have been playing for years / decades and are masters of their craft. The bartenders were speedy with the drinks and quicker with the jokes, entertaining ppl as the band went on break. 10/10 experience, will definitely be going back

The Last Word is one of my favorite bars in Ann Arbor. It's a speakeasy with a nice dark flair. The cocktails are handcrafted and most of them have multiple layers of flavor. Highly recommend. Only downside: very pricy

The last word has been one of our favorite locations in Ann Arbor for a few years now. Cocktails are always wonderful and the food is underrated here. When it came time to throw my husband a big tiki themed birthday bash, it was a no brainer to use the Last Word’s new event services. I seriously cannot recommend Casey and the team more. Over several months previous to the party, I work with Casey and he came up with a perfect menu with custom drinks. I gave him my husband’s favorite spirit and cocktail, and he knocked it out of the park. All of our friends could not agree on our favorite cocktail, as all 3 were absolutely delicious. It was so fun, so fancy, and I don’t think I will ever top this party after hiring the last word. Work with the last word, and I promise you will have the party of the year!

Great craft cocktails served in a speakeasy atmosphere. Everything is fresh and tasty. I love the special events here - today a dessert pop up with cocktail pairings, everything Summer ingredients. The food menu is on the lighter side, but naturally that’s expected, since the focus is on craft cocktails in a cozy, lovely, dimly-lit atmo.
