The Laurel Room at High Vista

Liz and her team are absolutely fantastic to work with. We got married here in October and the venue was perfect for us. This venue offered so many options and was so flexible and easy to work with (especially when comparing Laurel Room to other wedding venues we considered--it didn't feel like a one size fits all approach). Liz was super responsive, helpful, and easy to reach throughout. The views were incredible, and for it being a venue in the mountains, it is very easy to get to. We really appreciated being able to set up our decor the day before and that their team handled the main set up of the tables, chairs, place settings, ceremony chairs, etc. We loved having the indoor/outdoor options and the fire pits were popular during cocktail hour. We chose to have a plated dinner and the food was so good! So many guests complimented the fall kale salad, grilled chicken, and the steak. This venue is a great location, its the right price, and things felt so streamlined having so much in-house (like the staff and food & bev) - we would 110% recommend this venue.

I cannot speak highly enough of Liz and her staff at The Laurel Room! As a wedding coordinator, I work with LOTS of venue staff and this crew is top notch. Liz was easily accessible by text for the rehearsal and day-of my client's wedding. Any time I texted her for something, she popped up with whatever I needed within minutes. Her staff even went as far to help ME with MY tasks, and they did it with a smile. Dinner was incredible. Arguably one of the BEST wedding dinners I've ever eaten. It was served hot and full of flavor. Yum! I'll be talking about that steak for months to come. The space itself is just gorgeous. Nestled in the middle of the tree tops, views are abundant. Lots of great indoor and outdoor space available. I loved having a whole room downstairs for the couple and wedding party to hang out in before the ceremony, and they loved it too (especially since it was stocked with snacks, drinks, and champagne). 10/10 recommend this spot.

We had the most incredible experience at The Laurel Room at High Vista for our wedding. From the moment we first visited, we were captivated by the breathtaking views and the elegance of the venue. It truly set the perfect stage for our special day. The food and service were outstanding, exceeding all of our expectations. Every detail was carefully attended to, and the staff made sure everything was seamless, allowing us to relax and enjoy our celebration without worry. A special thank you to Liz, the general manager and event coordinator, who was an absolute joy to work with. She patiently answered all of my numerous questions and was so accommodating when we had to adjust our plans due to weather. Her support and flexibility meant the world to us and helped everything go off without a hitch. Liz truly went above and beyond, ensuring our day was as perfect as we had imagined. One of the best parts about The Laurel Room at High Vista is that they provide so much in-house: catering, bar service, tables, chairs, linens, and much more. This was a game-changer for us because, even though I planned everything myself without a wedding planner, it took a lot of the guesswork out of the planning process. It allowed us to focus on the meaningful aspects of the day, knowing that the venue was handling all the essential logistics. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or a more wonderful team to help us bring our vision to life. The Laurel Room at High Vista will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day. It was absolutely perfect! I recently hosted my sister’s baby shower at the Laurel room in High Vista. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the entire day was, thanks to Liz and her team of professionals. From the food, to the decor, everything was perfect. Liz even was the best at helping me come up with ideas for decorations….things I never even thought of. I will be using her and her team for all of my events in the area. As anyone that lives in the mountains already knows, when you live here family and friends want to visit all the time so you are usually the host for events. The Laurel Room is my go to for everything from now on! Shout out to Brady, and Jasmine for being the best that day!

Our wedding rehearsal was an absolute nightmare! As we decerated the night before, one of the kids got a soda and some water and they didn’t know there was a cost because of how much we paid for our ceremony and the use of the facilities. Liz the coordinator is one of the rudest people we had worked with, she threatened to call the police and was very harassing I wouldn’t have a ceremony there. Buyer beware!

Liz and team go above and beyond. I have hosted my company Christmas party here twice and I’m always blown away. The food is delicious. The event venue is always gorgeous! They make everything so easy.

My baby shower was hosted at this venue and it was absolutely wonderful! From the gorgeous views, delicious food and professional staff, I was nothing but thrilled with our event. I would highly recommend this venue for your next event.

Our son and his bride were married August 14, 2021 at the High Vista Golf Club Laurel Room. The event coordinator, Liz Williams, was kind, knowledgeable, competent and helpful. It really couldn't have been a more perfect experience from the point of view of the groom's parents : ) I wish I had the chef's name - the food was excellent! The bride and groom were able to select menu items in advance during a tasting and the items served at the event did not disappoint. Everything exceeded expectations! The servers were very safety conscious and were masked and careful about serving and presentation. The venue was beautiful. It accurately describedon the website, "The Laurel Room at High Vista offers a stunning panoramic view of the Blue Ridge mountains in all directions through a room wrapped in windows and balconies. The interior has a timeless A-frame wood beam construction, vaulted ceilings, and expansive stone fireplace." For our son's wedding, he and his bride selected the rain or shine option of an outdoor wedding under a tent - an elegant solution that was perfect for wedding guests to stay safe and enjoy the ceremony. We moved downstairs to the Robinson Pub for the cocktail hour and again, guests could enjoy the pub or remain outdoors at tables. We moved to the Laurel Room for the toasts, food, music and dancing. Once again, with open doors and windows and access to the wrap-around balcony and patio, guests were able to safely mask indoors as needed and enjoy dining in the fresh air as chosen. The servers were professional considerate and responsive. It is hard to say enough about the wonderful wedding experience at the Laurel Room! If you are considering a venue with amazing views, safe options and even easy parking, you have found the perfect wedding place.
