The Lawns at the Roundhouse

We had booked a table for New Year’s Eve a few weeks in advance and we were so amazed at what an incredible place this was in the foothills of table mountain. The view was so amazing and we welcomed by all the staff. Our waiter was Alistair and he was fantastic, very professional and accommodating and it was also his birthday that evening. We were also well looked after by Keagan who was very attentive and friendly. It was a great way to end the year and we felt very lucky to be in such a beautiful place. We decided we wanted to come back, and this time we did a walk in. We came in the evening around 8pm and we were welcomed to a table, we had lovely young Simba this time. Simba was super accommodating and he was running around to make sure we were being looked after. At some point we asked if we could change table to a better view and we were given the go ahead. Simba continued to look after us, we had a table where the lights had cut out however Simba was going above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely dining experience. All the staff were so busy and running around, and they were all super kind. We had so many lovely conversations with them, and we could see how busy they were yet they still had time to chat and work hard. Apparently the place fits around 500 people which we were shocked by and the have around 40 waiting staff. Just wanted to say thank you to the lovely lady who welcomed us in both times, to Alistair, Keagan and young Simba! You were all fantastic and we’ll be back again :)

We were extremely fortunate enough to celebrate my baby shower at the Lawns and it did NOT disappoint! From the beginning of the planning, the F&B manager and the events manager, An, were so supportive and helpful. We had requested a cheese board, which was initially on the menu, however had been taken off but the staff made a special arrangement and the compiled the most delicious board for us- which was more than we ever expected. The food was great and worth every cent. The service was impeccable! We had a designated waiter at our table (of 15) who was attending to us. This venue is perfect for kids! The kids got to make their own pizzas, had slush juices and popcorn. There was even staff at the play area attending to the kids so we could enjoy moments together. We had also wanted to add an “element of surprise” and surprise the guests to a gender reveal. A was extremely helpful with this and made it extra special for us. My guests loved every moment and the lawns is honestly a highlight to our visit. A Huge thank you to An and our incredible waiter, Chulumamco! You and your team made visiting home so special and memorable.

My family and I decided to have lunch at The Lawns and I must say the aesthetic was amazing! I love the nature and greenery around us. Our waiter was so kind and hands on! I forgot his name but very sweet boy. The food wasn’t that great. I know restaurants that are waaaay cheaper than this restaurant, that sells more succulent beef burgers. The beef was quite dry and chewy. The cocktails were a 10/10! My cousins also commented that the food wasn’t that great and they can do better. Overall, the service and the atmosphere made up for the food!

We had pre drinks here during sunset. The atmosphere was amazing and the views were outstanding. Talent, our waiter, made sure we were taken care of and that we were never missing anything. He provided us with outstanding service, especially considering that the place was very busy. Thank u!! 🩷🍻⛰️

Had an incredible afternoon at the lawns! The views were stunning, but more importantly the service was top notch. Our server was Kegan and he was so friendly and kind. He talked to us and gave some great recommendations and also was just very friendly which made us feel extremely welcome. We were visiting from another country and we were made to feel like family there. Can’t wait to visit next time!

This place is stunning. We really liked the vibe, the view over the sea was beautiful. The service was extraordinary- our waitress Varleen was very kind, attentive and always willing to help. The food was outstanding. We ordered a pizza, a burger and a salad with tuna. Everything was perfect, would definitely recommend!

Varleen provided my friend and I with absolutely wonderful service. She was so attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring throughout our experience. She made us feel welcomed and looked after from start to finish, and her positive energy really stood out. Thank you, Varleen, for making our visit such a lovely one. We will definitely be back!
