Rachelle and Melissa were wonderful and very sweet, it was well worth the walk to have a drink when you have a long layover. there are outlets to charge your phone and a ton of counter space :)

If you ever find yourself passing through Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport, make a beeline for The Layover Barand ask for Melissa! Upbeat energy despite the airport chaos around us. Her attention to detail was top-notch she remembered my preference for extra lime without me having to ask twice!

Melissa was the coolest bartender ever. Super fun and kept the vibe fun the whole time. Too bad she’s not gonna be here when we fly out :(

Management should look at the video. Date 02/04/2023 Time open. 9:00am. Why did 2 customers walk in and walk out within 5 min? Just a suggestion. When opening; it would be nice to greet guess. Also, make guests feel welcome. It only takes 2 seconds to say be with you in a minute. When guests ask questions, please respond in a pleasant manner. The young lady today seems to be having a ruff start to her day, but my party did not do anything to get ignored. We walked up to the bar once she removed the 2 stands blocking the entrance. She made no eye contact or any attempt to say hello. Once seated at the bar, she kept her back to my party of 2. We waited a little to ask a question. Did not know the young ladies name, so I addressed her a Ma'ma. She did not respond, so I figured she did not hear me. So I repeated to attempt to get her attention, and she finally acknowledged that I was at the bar by letting me know she was busy moving bottles at the bar. It was not very professional. I only ask that management look at the footage because I'm sure ownership would not be happy. I would get it if I was aggressive or nasty, but I just left. There is no need to spend money where I'm not wanted. Thank you.

Google
had to wait for a flight on the evening of oct. 17, 2023. i sat at the bar, and this lady (about 40 years old, with dirty blonde hair), sees me sit down, ignores me for 10 mins, then calls the police to escort me out because i confronted her about how she left me sitting there without acknowledgement. i understand refusal of service, my daddy has 2 restaurants in san diego, and my mother has an agency here, as well; however, she left me unattended for 10 mins before i confronted her… i doubt she would want her children treated that way. i never understood how the working class have such attitudes of superiority when they rely on others for financial support… i.e. working for tips. she should be the most humble and friendly person, yet i was expected to just take the disrespect without the chance the stand up for myself? so crass, and so rude.

Arica was the bartender working during my experience. I was wasting time while waiting for my flight for several hours. While there were many places I could choose to sit or spend time, Arica was a pleasure to spend it with. She was very attentive to customers and when not engaging with others stayed busy stocking, cleaning, and managing other aspects of the location. While we generally do not intent to spend much time at the airport, this location at Arica were great! Highly recommend.

Google
Terrible service. Boyfriend orders a few beers as we waited for delayed flight. I just wanted water. 8 open seats. I was told I have to buy a drink or I can't sit down. I asked for a nonalcoholic drink and was told I had to leave. This occurred on December 30th, 2022 at around 4pm. Then as I'm walking away I hear server gossiping to other customers. Smh

Yelp
Decided to hit up The Layover Bar at Harry Reid airport with my mom while we waited for my dad's flight from Boston to arrive. Both my parents are from New England and I've been dying to go back over the last several years (my last visit up there was in back 2017). I'm really, really hoping that I will finally break that visiting drought next summer. Not a whole lot of bar and restaurant choices in terminal 1 before you go though security, especially on a Sunday night. Everyone leaves Vegas and most places close early on Sunday's. We got there close to 7:30, but the bartender told us that she would be closing up at around 8:00, but we were welcome to take our drinks with us after they closed. Drinks must be in a plastic cup if you would like to take it with you, however. I got myself a Mai Tai and my mom got herself a Riesling white wine. The Mai Tai had that paradise-like fruity vodka flavor to it and the texture was like a beautiful sunset over the beach. My mom considered having a couple of Riesling drinks but only ended up having one because it was getting close to closing time. I think this was my first time having a Mai Tai and it was not bad for a first timer. Hanging out at an airport bar will definitely be a new thing for me whenever I'm waiting for a friend or family member to come in.

Yelp
Perfect place to meet friends when flying in from various locations. The food comes from Wendy's but I wouldn't say that is a deterrent. Service at the bar was top notch.

Yelp
It was so cool the vibe! The drinks were tasty and the music set the tone on a hectic and hustle day! It was a breath of fresh air! See you soon Layover!

Yelp
This bar was a nice place to kill time waiting for our ride. Never been here before, but convenient located near passenger pick up & baggage claim. Service was great. Seating was open. Probably came at a good time, no wait. We ordered food, but it can from the Wendy's next door. So it was to be expected.

Yelp
Much better than the Budweiser bar a couple spots over. Probably because I only drink the finest....Coors light! Haha. In any case, this is a great spot outside the checkpoint if you are waiting for some friends to fly in. Actually took shuttle from terminal 3 since there ain't Jack to do outside TSA over there! So if you are like me and have a bit of time to kill, make a trip to this bar!

Yelp
Ashton is absolutely amazing!! From cocktails to excellent recommendations for Vegas! We appreciate you so much!

Yelp
I've been here a few times before a flight. My experience between each visit has been different. One visit ordering a Blue Moon draft I was served it in a standard beer glass (16oz) Then another visit on a different day I ordered a Blue Moon draft an was served it in a larger beer glass (24oz) Both beers were the same price. So, not too sure why the difference. But curious to see what I get with my next visit. A decent place for a draft beer. Friendly bartenders (both female) each visit.

Yelp
This is also a nice bar in the vegas airport, you can order food from the bar but it comes from Wendy's but they still bring it to you so you ain't gotta get up off your ass. Its right next to a busy walk way so its prime location for people watching. The chairs are a little to close together with little to no room for whatever baggage you have with you but ya just gotta make it work. Drinks aren't too over price for an airport which will make you happy after being in bitch ass sin city for several days.

Yelp
Great spot to grab a quick beer waiting for your flight to arrive or if you are picking someone up. They have a deal with the Wendy's next door so you can order anything off that menu to eat. Not a bad idea as who doesn't like Wendy's fries? They've got a couple TVs to watch sports

Yelp
Cool bar located before security. Prices are steep, but drinks are good. They are right next to Wendys, so you can order food and then have some drinks as well. The one bartender was going to tables to see if people wanted anything from the bar. That was pretty cool.

Yelp
Decent for an airport bar. It's a great place to wait for friends to arrive or if you're early to the airport. Cocktails are sugary and expensive, so stick with beer, wine, or spirits. On the plus side, you can order Wendy's from the bar!

Yelp
I really like the vibe of this place. Even though there are slot machines right across the way it's still relatively quiet. Lots of places to sit and charging stations everywhere, and the decor is pretty. Bonus -- they have the best bartender in Vegas !!

Yelp
After sitting for 10 minutes at this bar trying to get a drink, while other patrons come & go getting their orders taken, Ray or Lou or whatever his name is (does it really matter? I will call him Jacktard azz clown) JAC FINALLY looks at me, I open my mouth to place my drink order, only to be shut down and that he'll get to me when he can. Really? This guy had the demeanor of used toilet paper. The girl sitting next to me couldn't help but laugh. She shrugged her shoulder as in she can't believe it either. As I walk away he screams "HAVE A NICE DAY SIR" & my retort is "oh NOW you notice me?" I moved on through security & found a much friendlier bar to watch the NCAA games, have a bloody & spend my money. So, Layover Bar & Jacktard, you can piss. If only one person sees this review and decides to pass this S hole up it was worth my couple minutes to type it.

Yelp
The bartender that was working was too busy texting and playing on his phone to see that I was waiting for a drink! Glad it's shift change.

Yelp
Playing all the right music while my husband is drinking his beer. Cool little pit stop before boarding our plane.

Yelp
Drinks aren't cheap, but that's a bit to be expected from an airport. (That said, the wine pour was extremely generous the few times I've been here.) It's before the security checkpoint, so it's a great place to kill time if you are waiting for someone to get off a flight and/or be picked up.

Yelp
there are many other bars in this airport you can go to. The bartender or manager was a dick. I am a big fan of jerks, but they weren't even funny

Yelp
Great airport bar, charging station right at the bar...hooks to hold your bag or briefcase. Super friendly bartender and you can order your food from Wendy's, it literally comes within a minute!

Bridget J.

Yelp
Las Vegas bartenders and restaurant staff aren't very kind to middle-aged women -- if they see us at all. Not the case at the Layover Bar when Ashton is in charge - friendly, quick service and follow-up to see if there was anything else I needed. After several days of being ignored, what a pleasure!
google avatar

Yelp
Avoid. Takes 15 minutes during non busy time to get nuggets and only after I asked where they were. Kitchen help didn't act the least interested in getting my order right. Bartender spent more time texting on his phone than service.

Yelp
I would not recommend this place. I had a 6 hour layover at Las Vegas Airport, bought food and was watching television, when a man who was of his same race came in and asked for the television to be changed. Now John (employee) walked by me several times over the past hour, could see that I was watching television, but to give him credit, I nicely advised him that I was watching that show (which was 15 minutes from ending). He responded with such disdained, advising the "he asked me to turn it to the Olympics." In my effort to be calm and respectful, as an African American woman on the eve of the slaying of several officers in Dallas and men of color, I let it go and wrote this complaint. Normally, I let these type of experiences go, but holding people accountable has to start with me. I have to teach my only son, who was with me, that we can't keep letting people treat us with disrespect. However, violence and attacking people in the moment is not the answer. There are other ways to let people know their actions are wrong and not appreciated. Please make sure this is posted for others to see.

Yelp
The bartender was the rudest bartender I've ever met, and I'm not even exaggerating. Usually yelp reviews that say that over exaggerate but this guy was something else. His name is Thomas. He greeted us quickly after we just found out our flight was delayed 4 and a half hours. He asked what me and my friend wanted and I asked to start with a water because I wasn't sure yet. My friend got a Riesling. After he brought the wine over he asked me what he could get for me again, and I again said could I start with a water please? And he replied 'so nothing?' And then turned to my friend and told her the price of the wine. He cashed her out and went straight to the next person without getting me a water. I was going to get a drink too but apparently he thought I just wanted a water so it's not even worth his time? I've never had a bartender ask me what I want only to purposefully not give it to me. The dude was a douche. Don't recommend if Thomas is on.

Yelp
The GF was getting ready to punch out of town. I took her to the airport and parked, wanting to spend a little more time with her. After she checked in, we found ourselves at TLB. It was busy as one would find a bar on the other side of security on a Friday night. Surveying the scene, I thought we might be just sipping on some caffeinated beverage at a nearby kiosk. The seating was extremely limited due to the volume of those coming and going. Then from the bar, I heard a friendly traveler, offer to move over so the GF and I could sit together. Thank you kind sir, where ever you might be. We sat down and were immediately greeted by a very nice bartender. Kudos to you my fine fellow. You are the very definition of what a barkeep should be. I was proud of this fine representative of the local service industry. You made it a five star experience. However, with averages, it is hard to pay strip prices at the airport. But when my time comes to take a jet plane, if I see this gentleman slinging drinks, I will absolutely stop by for a beer or allow you mix a stiff drink for me!
