August 2025 The League Kitchen & Tavern was a great choice to have lunch during the week where it was not too busy and enjoyed a great meal. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and had a side of fruit. The pot pie look great and had great flavor especially the crust and tasty chicken. All the ingredients in it worked very well together and enjoyed it very much. The fruit was like a healthy desert after. I like the look and feel of the design of this restauant and the staff was great.

Had an amazing experience, restaurant was full and we got seated immediately, our drinks were served so fast and food came hot and fresh, the atmosphere was great and our server (Ally M) was so professional and courteous! Love this place

Went here for the first time today and the food, drinks, and service were absolutely superior! They have a great happy hour brunch and I definitely recommend the tuna tar tare tacos and truffle fries. I experienced another customer here who was rude to me in the bathroom and caused a scene and the manager, Whitney and my server, ensured I was taken care of and went above and beyond to make sure me and my party were happy and comfortable. Highly recommend!

So very delicious. Fat Tire Fish & Chips was amazing. The lightest batter ever! Truffle Fries are absolutely addictive. Chicken Pot Pie was incredibly savory with a perfect pastry crust. Really delish cocktails.

It's very rare for me to give 5 stars across the board, but from the moment you walk in you are brought back to the 50's with pics and atmosphere. Our server, Jack, was great. He was patient with the kids and gave great recommendations. The food made me want to keep going after I was full, so yes you are served plenty. I want to come back for dinner to try a steak. If you are in the area for brunch it's awesome. My wife had salmon which was good and my daughter had the club sandwich. All delicious. Stop by for the food and leave amazed by the rest.

This restaurant is clean and well-decorated, and the booths are very comfortable. I had a great experience, though our waiter lacked enthusiasm. My younger brother wanted to get a kids burger, which was not on the kids menu, so we asked if he could have a smaller burger for dinner. “No,” he said. “Just those two”, pointing to the two burger options on the regular menu. That was fine, but I think it would be possible to make a smaller burger for kids upon request. When we were done, he wished us a wonderful evening, which was nice. My Grilled Cheese was delicious, and it included three different cheeses and bacon on toasted sourdough bread. It came with some warm tomato basil soup, too. My mother’s Southern Burger was tasty but a little dry, and it came with lots of good fries. My father ordered Meatloaf, which I tried, and we both agree it is very delicious. The meat was tender and overall the dish was amazing. My grandmother enjoyed some chicken-fried pork chop, which she said tasted very good. Though our service was a bit under par, everything else here was great.

Pot Pie Perfection Needed to kill some time and my lunch was past due. I had seen this place on many occasions but it was always to busy to go in. It was my chance to finally check it out. It was in the middle of the day past lunch time so the place was pretty empty. It has a nice relaxed environment with a bit of a sports bar vibe. Staff was very friendly and courteous. The waiter went through the menu and highlighted the most popular dishes. When he said pot pie I knew it was the one. I'm a big fan of this dish, I haven't found many places in Austin that serve it and more often than not they aren't very good, not here. The pie was baked to perfection, a nice light golden filo dough pastry that was delicate and buttery. Underneath reveals a perfect pot pie filling. Typical I run into fillings that are either too soupy or way too thick. I found this one just right, it wasn't soupy but viscous enough to bring out the nice flavors of the pie and filling. A soft shredded chicken with salt pepper carrots and peas. Many times I've had the pot pie filling with large unmanageable chunks of vegetables or chicken gristle to spoil the taste, not so with this example. This was a nice flavorful filling, piping hot, just a pure delight. If I had one criticism it would be the lack of a bottom crust. I understand this is a matter of style, can't really take anything away for that, but would have loved more crust to go with that filling. The portion was quite generous, it looked a little small on initial inspection, but trust me it's a full meal. It came with a fruit cup, the fruit was good. As a surprise extra, the waiter brought out a slice of complementary chocolate cake with a side of vanilla. Apparently a bonus for first time visitors. I was pretty stuffed but I can't say no to a nice scoop of vanilla. Even better it looked home made, maybe sourced from near by Amy's. Couldn't have been a more satisfying lunch. Will have to go back and try the breakfast special that initially had me curious.
