Lakeway Restaurant The League Is Expanding Into Dripping Springs | Eater Austin

"A Lakeway-born restaurant group is opening a third location inside the mixed-use Belterra Village development in Dripping Springs, set to open in May at 166 Hargraves Drive. The owners, Tony Ciola and Creed Ford IV, launched the original spot in 2011 and added a second location in Avery Ranch in 2013; their operations also include a separate pizzeria brand. The new site will sit among existing tenants like a local cinema and a regional burger chain, with additional concepts such as a taco shop and a barbecue/brew venue planned for the development." - Nadia Chaudhury

A great find and a great first visit. Honestly. Delight to find on the “way out” of Austin, on the way home. In a world of homogeneous chain restaurants, here is a hand made, pleasant sit down restaurant, that doesn’t require a trip to downtown. My lovely wife and already decided we will return. Great food (check out the pics and comments), friendly service from arrival, to service, to departure. Great food and atmosphere. Enjoy your visit too!

The food (apps, meal, desert) was tasty. The service was great. Indoor outdoor eating choices with indoor booths and a lot of TVs. We sat in a comfortable booth in the bar area and had a great waiter/bartender-Marshall.”

Jared was a wonderful waiter. Attentive, professional and kind. The food was delicious. We had the meatloaf bites and split a burger. The atmosphere was pretty chaotic. Tables super close to one another. Too hot to sit outside or we would have sat there instead.

This has been a place to go to for quite some time. But apparently not tonight. Out of the six people around us, four of the plates were bad. The chicken fried pork was extremely salty. We actually scraped all the crust off of the pork. Management didn’t seem to care.

It was our first time here and I loved it. I got the catfish and it was amazing; slightly bitter but it was cooked to perfection. Also we had this amazing server, Muhammad. I have never felt so taken care of by a server and he was actually so genuine. Just a great person. He even gave us this free cake!

We visited here on a busy Friday evening. Greeted by a friendly hostess, promptly followed by our server, Neil who was also friendly and welcoming. Service was attentive with just the right amount of friendly chatter. Our appetizer was the spinach artichoke dip (hot and delicious) I had the Chicken Diane (chef's kiss) perfectly cooked and flavorful. I've enjoyed other dishes in the past that I look forward to coming back for such as the Chicken Pot Pie on a cold evening (because this dish is a cozy warm blanket to your soul kinda good!) The Grilled Cheese with Tomato Basil Soup is everything! And the Herbbed Rotisserie Chicken is another flavorful comfort food I look forward to having again. I could go on but all of these were note worthy in my book! Reservation is key to quick seating on a weekend and I look forward to making my next one! Enjoy!

So wanted to enjoy this meal out. Rotisserie chicken, odd seasoning, quick turnoff. A beautiful sweet potato until I placed the odd flavored butter on it. Fish and chips, soggy, the small house salad with apple cider vinaigrette..TASTY. What has happened? We've visited several times over the last 4 years, just surprised by tonight's meal. Such a turn off, it will be a long time before we consider going back.

Me and my friends have been here a few times and had Jared as our server every time we’ve come in. He’s so kind, knows the menu front and back, is honest and easy to talk to. We appreciate him and the people who work here! Everyone is so kind :)
