"This bistro is perhaps one of Wimberley’s most known restaurants for good reason. The very Hill Country-ish menu spans well-made sandwiches (the BBLT is a good choice with bacon, brie, applewood-smoked bacon, and tomatoes), wood-fired pizza, and comfy entrees. Takeout orders can be placed online; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in services." - Nadia Chaudhury

"This romantic eatery is a popular lunchtime spot, tucked on a quiet corner of downtown Wimberley along Cypress Creek. Fill up on sandwiches like the BBLT — applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, and double-creamed French brie on toasted sourdough — and wood-fired pizzas, or heartier dishes like meatloaf with scallion-mashed potatoes and roasted chicken with green chile-bacon grits. Takeout orders can be placed online; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in services." - Nadia Chaudhury

My friend and I made it promptly as the restaurant was opening for brunch, so crowding and a long wait wasn't a factor. Our waitress was great and answered our questions clearly. Nice atmosphere. Convenient parking. I'm hoping to visit another time to explore other aspects of the menu.

We stopped by this weekend for some early dinner and drinks with friends. Nice place but a bit rowdy outside with lots of unsupervised kids running around. Servers were nice and seemed to be hustling so they were likely understaffed as service was a bit slow. To drink, the girls had the pink frozen gin drinks and I had the mangonada. Both were pretty delicious but the mangonadas take awhile to to be served so be prepared. I was originally going to get a craft beer but the selection was pretty limited. To eat, we shared the pretzels and the sprouts. The pretzels were decent but the sprouts stood out for me, which is a bit surprising based on my normal preferences. To eat, we shared a 1/2 rueben, 1/2 pimento cheese (its cool they let you do 1/2s), and a small house salad. The salad was fantastic with the pecans and vinaigrette and of the two sandwiches, I'd lean to the pimento cheese.

Very busy for brunch. The wait time wasn’t that bad and they text once your table is ready. Indoor and outdoor seating a nice perk. The online menu is live and you can see things that are available in real time. We were able to get the last 2 sausage sandwiches. Very tasty! Very nice wait staff.

I really enjoyed this spot! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Wonderful, bright atmosphere! Only downside is that the menu is a little small. I loved the kimchi hush puppies and the seasonal pizza!

We rode out to Wimberley to have lunch on a Saturday and decided to go here. We arrived around 1pm and It was pretty busy but we were seated within 5 minutes. We chose to sit indoors since we were out in the Sun the entire 2 hour ride there. Seemed like everyone who drove there in a car wanted to sit outdoors on their patio so it was longer wait for that. I chose to have a pizza and my husband chose to have their BBLT. He was not that impressed with the sandwich, but the Uncle Art pizza that I had was extremely delicious. It’s a thin crust pizza with artichokes, spinach and prosciutto and a light creamy garlic sauce, not tomato based sauce. Now their iced tea is not normal black iced tea. It has several different flavors in their recipe. Even the waitress couldn’t tell us exactly what kind of tea it was but it was really flavorful and light. If you are wanting to sit outside on a gorgeous day with a good variety of foods, try this place.

The Learning Pear is a beautiful restaurant with a very nice vibe both inside and outside seating area of the restaurant. We went there on a Sunday morning for an early lunch and they were able to accommodate us without a reservation. The first thing that cached my eye was the giant wind chime that was hanging from the tree and the sound of it made my day. They had the heaters for guests sitting in the outdoor area. The food was good though we had some issue with the egg being bad in one of the shakshouka that we ordered. Rest was all ok. The best was the banana bread. The service was good and the interiors of this place is very beautiful. A nice brunch and early lunch place in Wimberley.

I had high expectations because of the reviews I have seen so far. We went for Sunday brunch and I ordered the meatloaf with hash potatoes. My friend she got the chicken and waffles and for appetizer we had the kimchi hush puppies. We enjoyed the hush puppies it was delicious. I didn’t really care for the meatloaf. honestly 2/3 of the plate are potatoes and barely got any meatloaf and it was very salty I had to ask for ketchup to drown the saltiness. My friend’s waffle was ok but the chicken tenders were burnt and only had two teeny tenders. It was an ok meal for me it could have been better if I got 2/3 of meatloaf and less of the potatoes but it was the other way around so it was disappointing. I normally give higher rating but this one didn’t earn it in my opinion. I would give the kimchi hush puppies a kudos.

Yelp
We ate in the tree house. The guys had pizza which they loved. The crust was thin and browned just the way my husband loved it!! I had pimento cheese sandwich on wheat berry bread. YUM!! It is homemade with pickles and a tiny touch of heat. The tree house is an outdoor screened in porch high over foliage. It was really lovely. To top off their "over the top" service, I left my cardigan and didn't realize it until I was an hour into our trip back to Oklahoma. The owner graciously agreed to send it back!!!!!! AMAZING!!"

Yelp
My first visit to Wimberley was bittersweet to say the least as it was hot and an awkward day as if I'm going through the motions, delaying the inevitable. External influences aside I'll tighten the review for the restaurant. Located in a very safe place of town with horrible traffic at times, yet ample parking, which can't be said for many of the other places, one might stumble onto the Leaning Pear. It almost reminds me of a restaurant in the middle of a camp ground; such as the vibe for much of downtown Wimberley. Upon opening the big glass doors, I felt like I was in a ground level treehouse with all the simple wood and exposed frame walls, 2x4 window frames, light grained wooden tables and you get the idea. Nothing about the ambiance screams sophistication yet grounded in simplicity and that's not bad. Upon being promptly seated my server was extremely nice and jovial, he was even nice when I said he reminded me of Eriq La Salle who played Darryl Jenks in Coming to America. He was as a good server should be; taking my order, making suggestions, smiling, checking on us and so on. He promptly delivered a mixed drink for my friend whom loved the strawberry and bail sangria. I wasn't digging the iced tea as I was expecting something basic yet given a beverage with too many floral notes. Sometimes I like the basics and this was not that and I wasn't in the mood to raise my pinky. Drinks aside lets move into the food, shall we? Our app was the "Pretzel Board" and for the most part it was serviceable. The pretzel being of the star of the show was really good but a little misleading. It was a long bread stick but I'd ask what "everything" means as it was just a long-buttered pretzel. The "beer cheese" was a poor attempt at pimento cheese. I'm from Charleston so I consider myself a well-versed expert so I wasn't impressed however the whole grained mustard was a saving grace. Overall, I liked the pretzel and mustard as it was simple and satisfying. As for the main course my fellow camper got the salad trio. I sampled her food and we both agreed the herbed chicken salad was pretty bad. Huge chunks of celery dominated the texture of the dish while the mayo barely stuck to the chicken as it was a watery mess. The tuna salad was a small step up but felt like an uninspired dish with no black currant flavor to enhance slightly fishy smelling and tasting "salad." The lettuce salad was the best thing about the dish with goat cheese playing nicely shallot vinaigrette over the leafy greens and candied pecans. 1 out of 3 isn't batting so good. For my meal I got the half BBLT. I loved the toasted sour dough but the smokiness of the bacon was way over the top. I mean to the point I hated the whole sandwich because it was too much. The lettuce and tomato were fresh but I struggled to find any brie and without mayo made this incarnation of a BLT extremely dry. The side of chips, tasted like someone opened a bag of kettle cooked chips and put in on the plate. Not that they were bad but just average chips. Wrapping this review up, perhaps I had the wrong impression. This was camp ground food as in when your parents kicked you out of the house for a week and you're in cabins in the woods with the counselors in back throwing stuff together. When you're hungry the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are great! The Leaning Pear I would describe as average food trying to have an upscale vibe but done with mediocrity. I believe with lowered expectations and prices the food might have been a touch better but nothing memorable. I'm not saying the establishment is bad, just not great.

Yelp
After a hike in Old Baldy Park, we wanted to go to Wimberley for some eats as we had worked up an appetite. We'd never toured the town so we wanted to find some eats and walk around. We checked what was available on Yelp and this place sounded appealing with the different menu items, plus it had pizza which we were both craving. We figured everywhere would have a wait since it was Mother's Day weekend. Since it was a little after 1pm, we still had to wait for an inside table. The host said it would take about 10-15 minutes but it actually took 25 minutes which was fine because we were able to use the bathroom, relax and peruse the menu. We were offered seating outside and even though it was an overcast day with a breeze, I didn't want to deal with the humidity/flies since we had just hiked. I was put on a text-list which showed how long you'd been waiting and how long you had left before a table opened up. There were more people coming in and most chose to sit outside on benches. Once seated, we told our waitress, Lila what we wanted. Il Tartufo Pizza which has Spinach, HiFi-Mycology mushrooms, Lira Rossa Caciotta al Tartufo(an Italian semi-soft cheese infused with black truffle shavings), prosciutto & sweet potato is what hubs ordered. He said it was one of the best pizzas he ever had! It was a gourmand's delight with the Truffle laced soft, Italian cheese, sweet potato base & earthy/meaty mushrooms dotted on the pizza. I would order that the next time we visit as every bite had complexity--earthy, sweet, chewy & creamy. I bet it'd be great with a nice Sauvignon Blanc! I ordered The Cedar Hacker Pizza with Capicola, Greek Olives, red onions, Marinara sauce, oregano, smoked mozzarella & provolone cheeses. I would've liked more meat but the crust was soft, flavorful & a nice dough flavor. The Greek olives added a non-traditional touch. For drinks, I got a nice, dry Cider with tart, apple flavors & hubs got a rootbeer. Lila was busy so our waters/rootbeer didn't get refilled unless we flagged her down. It was a Saturday & Mother's Day weekend so understandable. The decor is modern with tall ceilings & floor to ceiling windows that overlook the outdoor patio & greenbelt. A small outdoor bar is located outside & has a limited selection of beers on tap. There's also a nearby playground by the parking lot. I highly recommend this place & would like to check out their Sunday Brunch.

Yelp
Beautiful brunch views at the Leaning Pear! Stopped for a quick bite on our way out of town and loved the atmosphere. We were able to get a table immediately without a wait plus it was outside and so pretty. They have fans plus a covered area so you are not in the blazing hot sun. I did find service was slow but the service itself was great. We had the shakshuka and the avocado salamis toast with an egg. Both extremely delicious and healthy. The menu had a very clean eating vibe. Highly recommend stopping by for brunch!

Yelp
Not the best, not the worst. I got a hot tea, and veg curry. My husband got the crab cake. We shared the beer cheese pretzel appetizer and wedge salad. The pretzel was was good but they are pretty stingy with the beer cheese. The wedge salad was basic but good. My veg curry was ok - didn't really seem like they seasoned it bc the curry broth tasted super strongly of coconut. Don't get me wrong, I make curry at home and I also use coconut milk but I season it heavily so it doesn't taste super sweet like 100% coconut flavor. Doesn't seem like they did that here. Just dumped the veggies in some coconut milk and called it a day. My husband said his crab cake was good. Probably best part was the dessert trio we got with ice cream.

Yelp
Incredible atmosphere with excellent waitstaff. As a vegan it is very difficult to find dishes that have flavor. However, these dishes not only look beautiful but taste so delicious. Wonderful restaurant and I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Kelly C.

Yelp
Creative food inspired by the hill country. Cocktails are well-balanced, though I wish there was mocktail options. Food is good size serving, also feels very healthy!

Christine A.

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant!! Interior is clean and beautiful. Playground for the kids, delicious food, and amazing service! 100% recommend this place!

Mercedes R.

Yelp
The nicest waiter. Homemade gelato. Pear salad. Cauliflower soup cute location with parking.

Yelp
Quick road trip to wimberley last weekend and chose to stop by here for lunch. No regrets! Reasonably priced and tasty food/drinks. We got a hill country Cobb - absolutely delicious and wouldn't make any changes! Super fresh and filling. Also got a half reuben and a BLT. The BLT was lacking a bit for me, but I really enjoyed the Reuben. This was more than enough for 2 people, we also got a side of bread though. Overall a great choice with quick service and nice outdoor seating. If in wimberley I'd definitely recommend. Quick walk to the downtown area from here, too!

Vince A.

Yelp
Wonder spot with excellent service and delicious fresh and originally prepared food. Don't miss an opportunity to try this spot out.

Ellie N.

Yelp
5 stars for the ambiance, cleanliness and service. 4 stars for the crab cake. The size is small, you need to pair it with an appetizer and a dessert. 4 stars for the schnitzel. They fry the Spätzle, which is not super authentic, but it works. Overall a very good experience for a small town of Wimberley.

Megan M.

Yelp
Great food, such great service!! Lila was very attentive to us. Will be back for some live music on the back patio, it had a great atmosphere! The food was all delicious, however I was anticipating more of the creamy garlic sauce on the uncle Art pizza, but still pretty good.

Dorris T.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to meet for lunch with my son, wife and grandkids in Wimberley and for something we haven't tried before. Then came upon this little hidden gem! A little hard to find but hidden in the back. Which makes this atmosphere that much more relaxing. It is a beautiful setting with a playground for kids, nice outdoor eating area and even an outdoor screened in area to eat outdoors but none of the outside creatures. Walked into this place and it is decorated so nicely. A beautiful really cool vibe look. Fun things on the wall. Bathrooms very nice. My daughter in law had the spicy pineapple sangria and it was so delish! We also ordered the pretzels with the hot mustard and a pimento cheese dip. Both were very good. My son had the fried Chicken Clucker. My husband and I tried the Ruben and both were really good too. I also got the potato salad side and it was sooooo good. But my favorite was the blueberry Panne Cotta dessert! My son and I shared that but I could have eaten the whole thing. It was the best Panne Cotta I have ever had. After lunch the kids enjoyed the playground area. A little climbing area and tree swings just made the whole experience that much better. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was just so comfortable. Had it not been so cold we would have eaten outside. The view is just so pretty and the grounds are so peaceful. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful lunch, brunch or dinner experience. Just can't say enough about this place.

Nikkie H.

Yelp
This place is fantastic!! The food was delicious! The mac n cheese is a must repeat! The salad with fresh ingredients was spot on with tasty dressing. I ordered the small and should have had the large...it was that incredible. I wanted more! The service was excellent. We had a great server that was friendly, and gave us great recommendations! The ambiance was relaxing, clean and I loved all the windows with views of nature. Nice place, parking was easy. Way to go, Leaning Pear! I'll be back ASAP!

Veronica Pagán B.

Yelp
I'm so glad I discovered this gem! My husband took me too Wimberley to thrift shop and of course grab some lunch. The Leaning Pear is modern meets rustic with a simple but fancy menu. One of the locals recommended the chicken salad trio, said it was her favorite, and we now know why! Generous portions, full of flavor, and lots of texture! I know it sounds crazy but even though it was over 100 degrees outside we tried the mushroom soup. So yummy! Mild mushroom flavor, hearty, and comforting. My husband got the a mozzarella and basil sandwich and added a grilled chicken breast. Simple yet nice. It came on fresh baked focaccia. I got the pizza with garlic, prosciutto, olives, and red onions. It was freaking delicious! I ate all but 2 slices! Our waitress or really sweet and she helped us decide by sharing what some of the popular items in the menu were. Everyone was great, from the minute you walk in they were all very inviting. We visit Wimberley maybe once every two months and I will definitely be back for the pizza!

Angel M.

Yelp
A friend of ours suggested we go here months ago when we moved to the area. We finally made it in and will definitely be going back again. Everything we ordered was top notch! Our service was great too! They also have nice indoor and outdoor spaces.

Jay A.

Yelp
Awesome lunch spot just outside of the main strip of Wimberley, Tx! They have a good amount of parking, definitely easier to park compared to some of the restaurants in the center of downtown. They don't take reservations for parties less than 10 so keep that in mind. We were quoted 35-40 min wait and the 4 of us were seated in about 10 minutes! Best part of the restaurant is their outdoor seating, which was shaded with fans+live music on the Sunday we went. They also have a large area for kids to play, swings, and a small obstacle course which our 7 year old loved! Food was good overall. We found the $11 salad appetizer a bit underwhelming. Shrimp & grits was really good, as well as the steal head trout on avocado toast. Definitely a great, slightly hidden, spot for lunch or brunch in Wimberely!

Courtney K.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Got the crab cake and it didn't disappoint- not too fishy and had great flavor. Chicken sandwich was good as well as the potato salad. Seasonal sangria pineapple mint was like juice and super delicious - if you don't like sweet drinks would avoid. Great service and the outlook to the greenery outside made it really tranquil.

Ausanka D.

Yelp
Perfection doesn't exist, but I found it. The food is delicious , fresh , healthy good flavor. The price is right good customer service. I am Not a dessert person but this carrots cake has a taste out of this world IT'S must

Anna A.

Yelp
Been coming here for years- everytime I am blown away with how delicious the food is and how great the service is! The vibes are perfect since you are near the creek and their is even a screened in porch you can sit in! The queso fundido and the ancho Chile chocolate cake are always a must. They are also great about accommodating for allergies

Brendia T.

Yelp
Dined at this green of the place with friends while exploring The Great State of Texas. We ordered Ruben's, Crab Cakes, and Pizza. Everything we ordered was great!

Lucas E.

Yelp
Ummmmm just go ok. Get a sandwich and a beer and enjoy the vibe. Gorgeous, great food, great service. It embodies Wimberly!

Carolyn G.

Yelp
Popped in today for a quick bite. My crab cake was very good. The slaw didn't have the uumph I was looking for in a complimenting side dish. The wine we chose was crisp and refreshing.

Jessica C.

Yelp
Cute local dining option! There is a tree house dining option out back too. We got the Brussels sprouts as a shared appetizer, Uncle Art pizza, Meatloaf, Herbed Chicken Salad, and a Caprese Sandwich with chicken. The Brussels sprouts were my favorite, I am still thinking of them! There was a light chili dressing drizzled and a hint of mint perhaps? I had to stop myself from eating the whole bowl before my entree arrived. The meatloaf was also great, I heard it was the "best meatloaf I've ever had" from the party who ordered it. Our waitress checked in often without being over attentive. Overall, a great dining option in Wimberley! I wish this restaurant was open more throughout the week so I could come here more often.

Wouter W.

Yelp
Sitting in their covered screened in patio watching the deer in the forest. Food is fresh and outstanding, good price. Service is great, friendly and accommodating.

Caitlyn S.

Yelp
This place is so cute!!! Such a nice outside setting by the water. Perfect for a sunny cold day which we were blessed with!! The natural lighting was so beautiful The menu had so many options it was so hard to pick what to get. We went with the kale marinara sausage pizza which was good but nothing crazy. The brussel sprouts on the other hand was out of this world! So many things in it that blended together so well... the vinaigrette and the mint and the cabbage came together perfectly. The tuna salad was aight but the chicken salad was soooo good! The queso fundido was good too but I wasn't crazy about the bleu cheese in it. The Mac & Cheese was spectacular with the chicken in it but bacon I bet is also delicious! Service was amazing!! Such sweet, on point staff. My friend got a decaf coffee after we paid the check and they said it was on the house! SO NICE! Great service, cozy vibe, good food!

Shaili B.

Yelp
I found this place through Yelp and we wanted to go for lunch on new years weekend. Even though it was in the downtown area this place had a lot of parking!! When we arrived we ask to sit outside and looked like outside was packed so we were put into the little outdoor space that has nets/ area that also has fans but is also indoors. I ordered the this delicious item!! It was a really good vegetarian option- almost like a fancy version of a tostada. The views were also great! I'd highly recommend anyone in the wimberly Area to go here! Especially when the weathers nice! I can see why this place is popular.

Sophie G.

Yelp
Great ambiance and really great food. We sat outside with our dog and it was lovely. The mushroom hummus was to die for and the mac n cheese was delicious. Would 100% come back next time I'm in Wimberly!

Tanisha H.

Yelp
If I could give a one star I would. Service was horrible, they were so rude. Food was ehhh... but I had reserved a week in advanced for a large party. Not once during the phone call did they tell me we had a LIMITED amount of time for us to be at the restaurant. I would've booked somewhere else. Second, not everyone at my party showed up so we asked for some tables to be removed. While we waited one of the waitresses or maybe even the manager I'm not sure, asked us very rudely to move because "people" were asking for the tables and she claimed "they" were "hot". There was literally no one waiting for a table... and we had already asked before so there was no need to be so rude about the situation. They rushed us the whole time we were there and it was honestly uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. I won't be back.

Marissa G.

Yelp
The food was incredible. They had unique fire roasted pizzas that were delicious. The ambiance was super cute. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend!

Beverly M.

Yelp
What I love about this place is the opportunity to order multiple small portions of soups, sandwiches and salads. It's the American version of small plates. The breads are home made. The signature salad of beautiful greens, pecans, goat cheese, pear and a honey/dijon vinaigrette is... scrumptious. Today's soup was a poblano bisque and we gave it a thumbs up. I had the BBLT on homemade sourdough, though I did ask them to hold the Brie. The carrot and ginger cake with a carrot reduction was not a traditional version and it is just okay. Service was friendly and prompt, the room's huge windows brought the outdoors in, and parking was plentiful. One thing... their metallic chairs are a bit uncomfortable.

Don F.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was outstanding! Atmosphere was great! An outstanding restaurant for over 26 years. One of Wimberley's best!

Tammi B.

Yelp
BEST CRAB CAKE EVER!!! We hit up the brunch today and decided to try out the crab cake and a pepperoni pizza. I've had a lot of crab cakes in my lifetime and was pleasantly delighted by this one. Well done. Our server was great. She was personable and attentive. The rest of the staff was friendly as well. The atmosphere was inviting. It was raining so more folks dining inside. I want to go back to enjoy the outside seating.

Wendy W.

Yelp
I love this place! Great food, love the outdoor patio where dogs are welcome (they even bring them a bowl of water), friendly service, hip atmosphere and plenty of parking!

Troy L.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to spend a few nights in Wimberley and made sure to include the Leaning Pear on our to do list. We ate pretty early so were seated very quickly. We started off with the pretzel board for an appetizer. The pretzels came out very quickly and were piping hot. The beer cheese was my wife's favorite but I did love the mustard. For our entrees my wife ordered the crab cake while I ordered a half caprese sandwich with a half house salad. The crab cake was enormous and my wife loved it. My salad was very fresh and a perfect balance to an otherwise heavy meal. The caprese was so good from our first visit that I decided I had to have it again and it did not dissapoint! Once again a great experience with excellent service. Highly recommend you stop by!

Melanie K.

Yelp
This is my favorite place in Wimberley, Tx. The food is always fresh every meal I've had here has been delicious. Always great friendly servers, plus the atmosphere and ambiance was great.

Cara A.

Yelp
The southern clucker sandwich was probably one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time

Rose R.

Yelp
Beautifully appointed restaurant in an idilic setting among tall oaks and a river, great food, lots of variety, attentive staff, great wines/drinks & desserts. Stop in today for a relaxing time in a natural setting.

Chris C.

Yelp
Parking is a bit difficult as this place is popular at lunch. Real silverware, cloth napkins, ceramic plates. They have both in door and outdoor seating. Very eclectic decor. I was seated quickly and my order was taken within a few minutes. I got a salad with a scoop of tuna salad and a scoop of chicken salad. My food arrived soon after ordering. The chicken salad was very good but the tuna salad knocked it out of the park! The salad had apple slices, nuts, and cheese and a very good citrusy dressing. All of the greens were fresh and crunchy. Even the tea was not ordinary tea, it had a refreshing floral note to it. Portion size was appropriate and I could barely finish my plate. My total with tea was a little over $13! Hard to eat fast food for that now days. I throughly enjoyed my lunch and would definitely eat here again!

John S.

Yelp
I wanted to like it. There is comfort and a certain folksiness there with Good People. The food left me Meh. I like home cooking at Home. The deserts and soup were Fantastic: Peanut Brittle.

Pamela S.

Yelp
We stopped by for a quick dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the simple beauty of this place! Ample outdoor seating that overlooks a creek, outdoor play spaces for children, and a lovely indoor dining area that allowed us to enjoy the delicious smells from the kitchen. Started with an Aperol spritz and local blond ale, then shared the house salad and cedar pizza. Both were fresh and well prepared. Pizzas are cooked in a wood burning oven. If we weren't saving room for dessert, we would've each ordered our own pizza. Desserts are made in house and the ginger carrot cake and coconut gelato we enjoyed were spectacular. The cake was not overly sweet, settled in a lovely ginger carrot sauce, and topped with cream cheese frosting and pieces of candied ginger. The gelato had a delicious and smooth flavor/texture and ribbons of dark chocolate! We cannot forget our sweet server who was helpful with us as we perused the menu and told us that she didn't make the carrot cake (but used to). We saw some nice looking bigger dishes-sandwiches, Mac and cheese, etc. pass by the table as well. This is a lovely place with delicious food and excellent service.

Went on a weekend trip to Austin and San Antonio for Memorial Weekend last year with family friends and had lunch at this place. We had chicken chilaquiles, artichoke & prosciutto pizza, sausage pizza, crabcake, BLT, Brisket Reuben and panna cotta. The dishes were all pretty good but the panna cotta stole the show! Would definitely go back for the panna cotta and order one all to myself.

Yelp
Fantastic brunch. We ordered the crab quiche, migas and breakfast sando. All were delicious and unique. Highlight of brunch was the outstanding service provided by Abby!

Yelp
First time at The Leaning Pear and the experience was wonderful. We came later in the evening and the restaurant was still very busy. Luckily it was only a couple of minutes before an outside table became available. The menu offers a nice variety of entrees and price points. I was originally tempted by the salad, soup, 1/2 sandwich combo but I am glad I went for the entire chicken sandwich. I skipped the pimento cheese but the Alabama white sauce still gave it a little kick. The chicken itself was good - crispy but a little dry so the sauce is necessary. The kettle chips were just okay so I would definitely try something else next time. The Prosecco was smooth and delicious...just perfect for alfresco dining. And the noise level on the lower patio was very manageable- no blaring music to scream over. My boyfriend devoured his pepperoni pizza and beer. The only disappointment was they were out of the pretzel bites but honestly it is a good excuse to come back for another round ASAP. Our server was excellent and I would happily recommend her for a wonderful experience. She happily answered our questions and did not rush us after we finished eating. The Apple Pay no touch feature is very helpful. I'm looking forward to making this a regular spot for drinks or dining in Wimberley. The ambiance is cozy but they do offer takeout for convenience.

Yelp
It was ok. environment was fine. Suitable for t shirt or dressing up Portions were on the smaller side Wasn't as tasty as I would have thought from photos Service so so Noodles for one if my children were half cooked My crab cake looked great but just not as tasty as I would have expected. Pretzel app was good, but same thing.. dips were a bit bland. Small menu

Yelp
Very enjoyable dinner! Started with the Street Corn appetizer; wish I'd snapped photos. So yummy! Hubs got a soup and pizza, and I got the salad trio. It was all fresh and delicious. I would have liked some crackers or bread to eat with the salad, but made do with the tortilla chips from the appetizer. I liked the chicken salad better than the tuna. Dessert was panna cotta and we took the cookie box home. The blondie was disappointing (tiny and dried out), but the snickerdoodle and PB went great. Overall a really delicious meal with a great outdoor view on the patio. $88 for all above (including 20% tip).

Yelp
Hidden Away Gem!!! Husband and I were in town for a family gathering and looking for something different. Amazing food and our waiter Jack was excellent. I hope Jack does well in his first teaching job.
