TAMPA BAY CITY GUIDE

"It was the 1920's on the left bank of the Seine River in Paris, known to Parisians as La Rive Gauche, when the cafés of Montparnasse gave birth to an art and literary scene that would change the world. This was a time when artists, writers, and creative thinkers reigned supreme, living la vie de bohème; from Ernest Hemingway to F. Scott Fitzgerald, Josephine Baker and Gertrud Stein — Henri Matisse, Colette, Pablo Picasso, Djuna Barnes, and the list goes on. These vanguard artists were the inspiration for our restaurant, and you will notice tributes to them throughout your dining experience. We celebrate their visions, while including our own."

If you ever wondered what it’s like to have your entire palate hijacked by sugar and salt at the same time, Left Bank Bistro has your answer. It’s like brunch walked into a French bakery and a Himalayan salt mine simultaneously—and no one said “non.” The Mixed Berry Parfait had enough berries to summon woodland creatures from the hedges, while the Crab & Avocado Toast whispered sweet nothings of sea and citrus… before getting slapped in the face with ricotta and aioli like it owed someone rent. And let’s talk about the breakfast potatoes—sorry, “house-made bistro frites.” I bit into one and genuinely thought it was a prop from a vintage diner. I’ve had firmer cushions on my grandmother’s porch swing. Someone get those fries a hydration plan. On the sweet side, the Pain Perdu (aka French toast with a superiority complex) came dressed for brunch like it was the lead in Les Misérables. It had whipped cream, maple syrup, and enough Grand Marnier to make me forget I was still waiting for a refill on my coffee. Everything is either sweet enough to send you to confession or salty enough to preserve a ham. Honestly, I respect the dedication. Would I come back? Probably. I like chaos in a brunch menu. Left Bank Bistro: where your taste buds ride a unicycle on a tightrope of flavor. Vive la confusion!

I had the most wonderful evening here. The atmosphere is extremely inviting and intimate. The food selection was great and everything I ordered was delicious and artistic. The cocktails and the service from the bartender, Gabriel, was top notch. I would definitely recommend coming here to anyone. If you're looking for a cute, upscale but casual place to eat, The Left Bank is your spot.

I've heard great things about this restaurant, so I was a bit disappointed by my experience. The interior is very cute, and I love that they play French music while you dine. However, it took about 10 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order, which only happened after I asked the hostess who our waitress was supposed to be. This would have been understandable if the restaurant had been busy, but it wasn't crowded at all. On a positive note, the food came out fairly quickly. The yogurt parfait was okay, but for $18, I wouldn't order it again. I also tried the breakfast sandwich on a croissant and honestly didn't like it. However, the cheesy grits were delicious!

Came for lunch & sat on the patio. Service was a little slow even though they weren’t very busy. Food itself was good, but nothing mind-blowing. Great little spot if you’re in the area. Chef came out at one point and grabbed some herbs they grow on the patio for his dishes. Patio is dog friendly. We got the turkey club (pretty good but I’d argue I make a better one at home). Fries were yummy. Salmon salad was very good and salmon was cooked nicely. Solid 3-3.5 star quality dishes (out of a possible 5), arguably a bit overpriced.

Incredibly delicious food combined with a fantastic atmosphere. The live music fit perfectly with the ambiance. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Google
Very nice small spot. Good choice if you want a little more up scale breakfast spot to show off. I’d recommend. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict and it was solid. Definitely would go back.

Gorgeous restaurant with amazing food and service. Luke was a wonderful server and the duck and pork were incredible! The restaurant looks like a house and it's a perfect hidden gem with parking. Will return.

Yelp
The food here is outstanding. The menu is varied and we found something we liked in every category, appetizer, main salad and dessert. Highly recommend this lovely outdoor and indoor space.

Yelp
We wanted a spot close to downtown St. Pete to eat before walking the park to finish our evening. I found The Left Bank Bistro via the Tock reservation app. It was shown with two $$ signs and looked like a tasty dinner. We arrived just prior to our scheduled time and were greeted by the hostess and quickly shown to our table early. Entering the enclosed porch to get to the hostess stand means you walk by a couple of larger party seating areas that were on either side. It wasn't bad for us, but didn't know if the people we were walking by were being bothered by the traffic. Not sure I would want a special dinner out at one of these two tables TBH. The restaurant is a smallish venue that is beautifully decorated with cool art and old art photo prints of the economic expansion and growth that embodied the 50's in both France and the US. The food is "French", but felt somewhat straightforward when we saw the menu. The server greeted us and indicated that the menu was new for the season. Lots of tasty looking options. Decent wine list with both French and California options that were very good. I had the bouillabaisse, she had a French pot roast dish of some sort. Her's was amazing, mine was a little meh, not too much besides the broth, mussels, and clams to speak of. I had hoped for some flair that I'd find in a cioppino, but to no avail. I can recommend this spot, particularly if you want a quiet spot that is easy to have dinner conversation with other people. It was a good find. Not too noisy, and the food was 3.5-5 stars. Service was attentive, but not fastidious. Try the tock app to grab a time.

Yelp
I initially sent this to the management at Left Bank on Feb 18, 2025,but I got no response. Good afternoon. I wanted to share my wife's and my experience at your restaurant last Friday evening. We arrived for our reservation on time and were quickly seated by one of the hostesses. Our seat was outside in the back on the left side as you walk out to that area. Our server was Sunny. After getting our drink order and our appetizers, which were delicious, we waited over 30 minutes. While waiting we we heard a truck pull up behind us making a food delivery. This was around 8 pm. I walked up to the hostess desk to let them know we hadn't seen our server. Within 10 minutes our server came by and then our salads were delivered. Within 30-40 minutes we were engaged by either Sunny or the food runner 6 or 7 times. Sunny did comp us a second bottle of wine and he apologized for everything including the food delivery noise. Of note, the manager never came by to see how we were doing or to apologize. I have two relatives that own restaurants and the would definitely come by after hearing of the situation. My wife and I were very disappointed in the whole situation. A wonderful evening was ruined by a number of things. At $150 per person plus wine and rip, we would have expected a more enjoyable food experience. I am not asking for anything, but I felt you needed to know.

Yelp
This was a date night so we wanted to splurge. The menu items are expensive. The drinks were good. We started with a shrimp starter and it was yummy! No bread is served- you have to order it separately... We ordered the Beef Bourguignon and the lolly pop lamb chops. The Beef Bourguignon was delicious and had whipped potatoes and a couple of carrots. The lolly pop lamb chops had a weird un-chewable salad with it. My lamb chops were rare (I ordered them Medium). I had to send them back 2 times to get them right. So I ate one of them that was ok, while the waitress ran back a for the trying to get them right. They apologized over and over, but it would have been nicer to offer a free dessert! We ordered the cream brûlée and it was really good. Since it was an expensive restaurant we expected our plates to be cleared sooner than they were. It wasn't really that busy in there for a Saturday night. The best thing about this place was the live music! The band Hot Tonic played in the foyer and it was lovely! Not sure we'll go back- maybe just for a drink and appetizer.

Yelp
We were guests today for my Judy's Birthday. Her choice. I liked the atmosphere a lot. Very nice outdoor seating rear (under cover) and the north side along the parking lot. Our selections were yummy & flavored nicely. Not too hot but very ediible See pix. My complaints are the length of time time it took to get served water & coffee (19 minutes) & waiting (90 minutes) for breakfast to arrive. The artichoke crab omelettes were tasty but the added bernaise was without distinction so I added some hot sauce. The cheesy grits were not hot but enjoyed; the large drip coffee was hotter the second round. There was NO accompanying French baguette unfortunately. There was plenty of time to catch up with family but don't expect quick service. We would return again and sit outside which was pleasant d popular

Yelp
4 star experience at a 5 star restaurant. My friend and I decided last minute to go for brunch, so we showed up right when they opened in hopes of getting a table. This plan worked out perfectly, because not only did we get a parking spot in their small lot, but we got a great table. Inside was bright and clean, decorated in beautiful shades of blue and white. We were surprised at how many tables were available the entire time we were there. Our server was friendly and engaging; the problem was that he would disappear, so when we needed things during our meal, he was nowhere to be seen. We started off with cocktails, which were delicious. Then, because their menu is so amazing, we decided to split two entrees for our meal. We went with the Seafood Salad sandwich on a croissant, served with French fries. And the Pain Perdu, essentially French Toast. The sandwich with fries came out first, and it was very good. You could definitely taste multiple seafoods in the salad. And the fresh cut French fries were outstanding. But our Pain Perdu never came out, and our waiter was missing. So we waited and waited, and finally decided to go ahead and have the sandwich as an appetizer. The server finally came by and was "I'll check" on the rest of our meal. Then we waited even longer, with the server coming by periodically saying, "It should be out any time", but it wasn't. My speculation is that he forgot to put that part of the order in; perhaps writing down the order would be helpful in the future. When it FINALLY arrived, it was excellent, even though you could tell it had been rushed - they didn't bring the syrup out until we asked, and it had no whipped cream, even though that's in the description. I loved the crunchy crème brûlée topping on it, and the fresh blackberries. So while the food was awesome, the service was friendly but not very good.

Yelp
Came here for a friends birthday celebration. The food tasted really good and the restaurant itself is really cozy and welcoming. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a very busy day with a bit of a long wait to get our food, but overall a very nice experience.

Yelp
We had a great time at brunch. The food and service (Hey Dallas!) was amazing! I love the decor and atmosphere. I can't wait to come back when its cooler outside so I can enjoy the outside area. Parking is limited so you'd be better off taking an uber or carpooling. Bathrooms were clear and FABULOUS! IYKYK. Check out the rest of our brunch on my YouTube Channel @Lady.Tanisha https://youtu.be/C5SmpMy1oJE?si=ws_VgpqysIR8-o0B

Yelp
Terrific shrimp appetizer to start, with a delicious watermelon salad. Yum. Service was very good and the place is adorable! Feels like a cafe in Paris.

Yelp
LOVED the mushroom strudel! Tender buttery mushrooms enveloped in a warm and flaky puff pastry wrap with gooey cheese, a decadent Mornay sauce, and sweet tomato jam - so perfect for a cooler night! The scallop special was very good too, with a delicious creamy apple leek sauce. My server was so kind and welcoming, and had great recommendations. Love the quaint little building too, and looking forward to checking out the market next door sometime!

Yelp
I absolutely love the Left Bank! This was my first brunch visit. Everything was delicious, but the standouts were the Bistro Frites and Seafood Salad Sandwich. The fries came with three sauces which were amazing! Our waitress Lily was wonderful - So kind and attentive! She was great! The Left Bank is so beautiful, too - it's decorated so cute, it's cozy, charming, but elevated! Love, love, Love :)

Yelp
New Chef, new menu and it is s filled with a lot of "wow" that is a magical food experience. Service is outstanding- top quality servers who not only serve with style but go beyond their normal duties, also helps we arrived early before the crowd. This sweet restaurant is located in a lovely house like French Bistro with indoor & outdoor seating. I have come here for brunch & always enjoyed sitting outside with beautiful flowers and greenery along the walls. Highly recommend if you want a fun night out. Live jazz music some nights so look on social media for the latest.

Yelp
What a fabulous find in St. Petersburg! I wish I had taken some pictures, but we were so mesmerized by the dishes that we did not even think to do so. We started off with the watermelon burrata - it was refreshing and light. We then devoured a mushroom strudel. I cannot recall the name, but it was delightful and the plating was beautiful. The pistou sauce was outstanding! We shared the bouillabaisse - it was served with some toast points and was the perfect amount for the two of us. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was very romantic. I cannot wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Yelp
We had a fantastic mid-week date at Left Bank on a Wednesday night! We've been meaning to get there for dinner since Chef Jermaine Bass joined the team and he did not disappoint! We started with their Escargot and hot Bread and Butter - excellent start to an excellent meal. Hubby had the Veal Cordon Blue - this was an incredible dish. A generous portion of tender veal stuffed with ham and Gruyere cheese, coated in a savory crispy, Panko crust and served with a pomme puree, asparagus, and a mornaise sauce. This was the definition of elegant comfort food. I ordered one of the Chef's seafood specials - Seared Corvina served on top of sautéed spinach and polenta cake, on a bed of Mediterranean style chorizo tomato sauce. At first, I was unsure about the tomato sauce l, but our lovely server, Georgia, raved about it, so I was compelled to order it. I am so glad I did, because I never thought the combination would work SO well! The fish was perfectly cooked, the polenta cake was tender, and the chorizo tomato sauce was unlike anything I expected. It was flavorful, without being overly salty or overpowering the fish. Very well-balanced! For dessert, we ordered the Banana Dulce de Leche - it consisted of generously sized profiteroles filled with banana dulce de leche gelato, which had a natural taste that truly allowed the humble banana flavor to shine through - and the Chef's Special Dessert - a Triple Chocolate Cheesecake. The cheesecake was perfect because it was not cloyingly sweet, the chocolate flavor was very well-balanced and delicate. Overall, it was a delightful meal, wonderful service from the lovely Georgia, and the experience was the highlight of our week. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Everything was really good! Our waiter Sonny was amazing. Very cute inside. Great date night spot. We will be back.

Yelp
We had such high hopes for this restaurant and at the end I had mixed feelings about our dinner experience. We were able to get bar seats on a busy Saturday night without having previously reserved which was great. The bartender was really busy and looked kind of overwhelmed, but the girl helping him out was super helpful, she was always pleasant and attentive. We tried the lobster bisque, the coq au vin and the beef bourguignon. Both the bisque and the beef were delicious, the coq au vin was actually very disappointing and the amount of chicken served was way too much (I would have not served the breast and instead only dark meat). Because they were so busy, there was a huge delay in us getting our entrees after we finished our soup. Also the dessert menu was underwhelming.
google avatar

Austin E.

Yelp
This high end place was a great place for a special occasion. Service was top notch. I ended up sending my entree back, and they offered a replacement immediately.
google avatar

Airamiss L.

Yelp
We had a pretty great meal here. The portions are very large and hearty. Our waiter Terrance was friendly and accommodating. I appreciated that the menu had a lot of gluten-free items on it. I had the Boeuf Bourguignon, which is gluten-free free, and the gravy was so delicious and thick that I couldn't even tell it was gluten-free. The duck confit was insanely delicious, especially the fried cabbage. I will highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back soon. It's a very large, spacious, but homely historic house along with a joined parking lot to their store. There is outdoor seating available on the patio and lanai. You will definitely have a great meal here.

Kevin E.

Yelp
The only nice thing we can say is the Ambiance is very nice. The entrees are tasteless We started with the Escargot ,garlic butter, puff pastry, parmesan was so tasteless, we should have left at that time We have the lamb and the Orange Duck, neither had any flavor at all and my duck was in brown gravy and was 3 small slices, not worth what we paid for either meal. We will never go back and will tell our friends to find another place to go . We were very disappointment

Yelp
I leave a lot of positive reviews, but this is truly one of the best dining experiences in Saint Petersburg. I'll begin with where so sit. Definitely grab a reservation. I made one for Saturday night and we arrived 15 minutes early. In the front are 2 very secluded tables that seat up to 6 people. I definitely recommend asking for this table, especially for a romantic date. The front is also more dimly lit making for a more relaxed vibe. You're definitely going to want to get the charcuterie board which is accompanied with a truffled honey. The cheeses rotate seasonally but we really enjoyed the blue cheese we tried. Upon hearing this our server grabbed us a sample of a wine to pair with it. She was absolutely spot on. She also brought us additional toast for our charcuterie when we were out. Seems like a minimal point, but I can't tell you how many restaurants will let you pay 30$ for cheese and then be stingy with crackers?? There's also a shrimp appetizer that my guest were drooling over. Every dish is well plated and large portions. For sides they are currently offering truffle Mac & cheese, whipped potatoes, and Brussel sprouts-all absolutely amazing and hard to stop eating. They have a fairly extensive wine list and a decent craft cocktail menu. Before writing this review I read through all the negative ones. I personally had nothing short of a fantastic experience here. My server was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Yelp
Food is to die for. A little noisy on Saturday night if you want a quiet evening but great band for dancing.

Yelp
The cutest French restaurant with elegant ambiance! They have live music playing on certain nights that make the dining experience so pleasant. Service and staff were extremely nice and tentative. The French Onion Soup is a must get! Our main course, Steak Frites and Snapper were good but we would try something else on the menu next time. All around it was a great dinner and we will definitely come back to try other menu options!
google avatar

Kristina F.

Yelp
Very quaint. Great service. Recommend the snapper, but you really can't go wrong. Good intimate choice for entertaining for work with 2 to 4 guests.

Yelp
The Bouillabaisse... oh the bouillabaisse. One of the single best things I've eaten in my life. Flavorful and rich and complex and balanced. Just perfect. I will be reliving this dish in my head for the next year. Brilliant. Oh, and the onion tarte was DEVINE! Unctuous and bursting with flavor. An appetizer and desert in one! The pastry was perfection and the filling splendid. Yes we will be coming back here and I hope it is soon!

Yelp
Love the decor at Left Bank! Very Parisian. Great place for a girl's day out. celebrate a special event, or simply a nice meal out. The food is fantastic. They offer GF and vegetarian meals. I recommend downloading their menu before you go if you have food sensitivities. The fries are excellent but aren't GF due to cross contamination. They come with three dipping sauces that are delicious! My favorites are the truffle aoli and curry aoli. Next door is the The Left Bank Antique shop. An old house with room after room packed full of antique's and fun items. Visit before or after your dining experience. I recommend calling ahead for reservations, especially if it's summer and you want to eat in the air conditioning. They have an electric wheel chair lift but no ramp. Parking is free but you may end up parking in the neighborhood streets if it's packed. They also have a great bar if you are looking somewhere to chill. Bathrooms are not gender neutral.

Yelp
We finally came to try this restaurant that has been on our list for awhile. Parking is private but limited. We made a reservation for Friday's dinner but it was surprisingly not crowded at all. We were seated and while waiting, we see a couple flies around our table. Drinks were delicious! Food was okay to me. My friend had The filet that she really enjoyed, I got the escargot (figured that we are in a french bistro), but it was not at all on any of the escargot I've had before. Granted I've never been to France, so idk what authentic tastes like or how it's supposed to be cooked. My main was mussel. Two bad ones in the pot, the rest are fresh. However, I've also never had mussel prepared this way (and I've had my fair share of mussel dishes in life). The sauce is red but very sweet. The fries that came with it tasted amazing though, random but highlight of the food portion. Our server was distracted, unfortunately that wasn't the service I was expecting especially when the restaurant isn't very busy.

Yelp
Beautiful place for a great brunch, lunch or dinner! Have been there several times and have never been disappointed. If you love French or European-inspired food, this place is for you! Went there a couple of nights ago and had their potato-crusted snapper and my husband had their grouper special. Both delicious! It's hard to say no to their cream brûlée. It's a bit on a sweeter side, but absolutely heavenly!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to Left Bank quite a few times, and have always enjoyed my meal. The food is excellent and the restaurant is very cozy. Excellent staff as well!
google avatar

Yelp
Super quaint, classy, cozy establishment. Professional wait staff, pleasant... gave recommendations and were accommodating. My daughter, husband and I enjoyed our brunch. Food was Flavor-town fresh and delicious! Definitely will go back! The Salmon Benedict had so many levels of flavor: on light fluffy biscuits, got a hint of summer sweetness from the blistered heirloom cherry tomatoes, beautiful poached eggs and the sauce OMG!! Outside dining as well.

Yelp
I was certain I wrote a review on this place after my first (and certainly not last) dining! experience! I have wanted to try this restaurant ever since reading about it in Audition mag. A kool 1920 "Paris" vibe...art deco...you know, back in the days of young, dashing Dali, Picasso, Hemmingway hang outs....A charming old 100yr + historical converted home which adds to the ambiance. They are open for brunch, happy hour, nightly jazz on Thursday...and incredible dinners. The wait staff are/were incredible and the food ( we were told they were excited about their new chef....) Did not disappoint! Terrence was our server. We loved his "passion" and pride in this place. He had the perfect pace/ timing with his service and delivery. He was engaging from our first meeting and kept that cadence throughout the evening. He was a great storyteller, sharing the history of this place and knew his wine and the menu. The menu had great variety but was not pages long so we didnt have decision anxiety. We started with the escargo...and a freshly baked baguette. Both were delicious...Then on to the entree. I chose the veal...fork tender and outrageously good! (order the side of homemade bread for dipping in broth). As DD i had one drink, so instead of my usual glass of wine I chose an old fashion (full-quaint bar)...it was one of the best I have ever had...it had a unique flavor...we could not put our finger on "what" was different - we are purist old fashions drinkers and really enjoyed it! I cannot remember if we called the bourbon when we ordered. We passed on dessert but only because we were perfect after our meal and didnt want to overdo a good thing plus we had a play to catch at the St Petersburg City Theater. We had already decided we would be back! Parking is adjacent...so that helps when you get there. Depending on the weather and staff...indoor / outdoor seating may be available. This is a popular spot so reservations are recommended. CU there!

Yelp
Came for brunch with a small group on a Sunday and the experience was very underwhelming. We sat outside and the patio had a nice vibe. Service was notably disappointing and dampened the entire experience with our server being absent, despite a nearly empty restaurant, and at times rude. Food was mediocre, of the 6 of us only 2 got more than halfway done with their meals. I ordered the crab and artichoke omelette which had only a touch of spinach and a singular artichoke. The dish had to be sent back as my request to leave out the goat cheese was not relayed to the kitchen. The crab was flavorless and chewy but I will say that the side of potatoes was flavorful and cooked well. I do not recommend this restaurant for brunch and I don't see myself returning to give dinner a try

Yelp
Without second thought, I ordered the Duck Foie Gras appetizer because I was dinning at a French bistro. 22 dollar bought me a tiny tiny tiny piece of duck liver tasted gamey even its cherry gastrique couldn't overcome the strong flavor. But I did impressed my French girl friend who paid her compliment on how I know my food. It was nice to be called a snob once a while. Overall, our group of 12 was satisfied with the lunch and service. Atmosphere at the restaurant was very pleasant. My friend told me the best time dinning at this ultra popular restaurant is after 8pm during the week days which the elegance of the bistro reveals itself. Parking is a mystery. Restaurant staff told me I can park anywhere around the restaurant including space in front someone's house. I accidently parked at a parking lot belongs to a small boutique shop, and later was asked to move or be towed. I would like to come back again and try the dinner. The menu looks very appealing. For sure, I will not order the Foie Gras again.

Yelp
Great spot for a nice day/evening out. Feels like you're in some country cottage bed and breakfast. Not a whole lot of gluten free options but like anywhere else you can make slight menu changes. But everything I've ever had here is delicious. Had sun brunch last wknd and it was fabulous as usual. Had the steak & eggs and both were cooked perfectly. My friend ordered the waffles and let's just say. There was no to-go-box this time. Which is a norm for her. The only bad thing is, there is limited parking.

Yelp
Not a breakfast place during the week. Expensive for the quality. Nice ambiance. Good service.

Yelp
Came here with family as a party of 5 to celebrate a big accomplishment. Was able to confirm the reservation using Google Assistant which was easy and convenient. It definitely has a classy (but not pretentious) vibe and we appreciated the opportunity to get spiffed up a bit. I certainly would recommend for a special occasion or date night, and it was clear that well behaved children were a regular feature and warmly welcomed. Struck me as a fantastic spot for brunch as well. The ambiance is great and we really enjoyed our meal. Our well behaved toddler joined us and, while there is no official children's menu, several staff members proactively reassured us that the kitchen would gladly prepare some mac and cheese or grilled cheese, etc. We didn't need to take advantage of that because our son is a pretty adventurous eater, but it's good to know if you've got a picky eater in your group. They also have cups with lids. Not sure about high chairs or boosters because our son doesn't use one now, and we always brought our own portable one when he was younger. The whole team was very attentive and on their game, with multiple people including our server checking in regularly to ensure we had what we needed and that our meals were prepared well. The cocktails were executed with style and great mixology (pictured is The Piaf). We sampled so many items but some standouts include: Lobster ravioli Escargot (our toddler ate 3) The shrimp (our toddler snarfed an entire shrimp appetizer himself) Onion tart Mussels Beef filet mignon (perfectly cooked I might add) Mixed vegetables French onion soup For dessert our faves were the crème brûlée, the pistachio ice cream that comes with the torte, and the carrot cake.

Yelp
Atmosphere: so flipping cute and welcoming with booths full of cozy pillows and a house-like feel to the restaurant Server: the friendliest and most helpful server, Geoffrey was perfect. He asked our preferences and then provided recommendations. Food: I hate shiitake mushrooms and the escargot was the first dish I've ever eaten where I loved every ingredient , shiitakes and all. The fish of the day looked a little lackluster when it was delivered but when I tasted it I literally inhaled the dish. I couldn't put my fork down. Everyone else seemed to love their dishes- snapper, octopus and Brussels but I didn't try them all.

Yelp
We had gone to the left bistro after receiving several recommendations from friends regarding the restaurant. Unfortunately, the night that we went their air-conditioning was out. But we decided we would still try it out as it was not that hot and evening. Tried not to allow this to influence our experience. Unfortunately, our experience was not what we had expected. The restaurant service was subpar, with the necessity to frequently look for staff. We had ordered a bottle of wine, which was set in a bucket, and we would have to reach back and get the wine on our own. At no point did the staff offer to for more wine into our glasses or ask if we needed anything in addition to what we had ordered. Sat for a minimum of 15 minutes before anyone came to take our initial drink orders. The food that was served was OK at best. I had their fish and risotto dish. It was swimming in oil, oversalted, and gummy. My spouse had the chicken. The chicken was a good size portion, but lacked any distinctive flavor. This negative experience could have been from the challenge of dealing with no air conditioning. Unfortunately, for a $250 meal will not risk it again.

Yelp
Went here for brunch. Food was really good, but it took forever to come out. I also got the small pastries box to go and was underwhelmed by the 2 muffins and a scone in there. I guess I was expecting something more French. I'll be back but I think I had my expectations set too high. The ambiance is lovely though.

Yelp
We went to the Left Bank for Christmas Eve Dinner. It was a disappointment all around. The restaurant had a prefix dinner for $100 which included an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Starting with the drinks, we were served a martini which was only 2/3 filled and was heavily watered down. The waiter took our drinks away before we were finished multiple times. We tried all 3 appetizers between the 3 of us, and each was mediocre at best. The "crab and corn chowder" barely had any crab and was lukewarm. The salad only came with some of the ingredients listed on the menu. For our entrees, 2 of us got the duck which was a half serving of duck (2 tiny pieces, certainly not a full breast). For the dessert course, we had requested a cheesecake which they "ran out of" between our ordering it and being served. The other dessert - a fruit tarte - came partially frozen (clearly not fresh). We each left paying about $150 which was far too much for the quality of food and service. We appreciate that it was Christmas Eve, but if you're going to be open and have an expensive prefixe menu, then you should be delivering a better experience all around.

Yelp
This is one of those places that we live really close to but somehow have never managed to visit. We finally had dinner their Saturday and we had a good experience. We went to dinner relatively early and it felt like their might only be minimal parking but maybe there was more around back. We had no issues parking though. We went in and sat towards the back. The waitress was attentive and knew the menu well. Our table of three had the Coq au Vin, the Duck Confit, and the Filet Mignon. I was able to try a bit of them all and they all were excellent. The duck confit was probably the winner. For drinks, we started with a cocktail. Admittedly, it took a while for them to come out. In fact our appetizers arrived before the drinks. Get the Onion Tarte. We had a Cote du Rhone as our wine which I felt was pretty good for its price point. We opted to try a few of their desserts. The chocolate torte was delicious and the creme brûlée seemed to be a hit as well. One party showed up with a baby. However they got seated outside. Under no circumstances should you bring a young child here. However with the one bay being outside it wasn't too bad. Millennials, please don't bring your baby here.

Yelp
Enjoy an evening with friends at this new to me establishment. First off, the parking is very scarse but there may be around the corner options. The interior is French decor, lovely, inviting, fresh yet warm. Quaint yet not. Loved it. Everyone loved their food options and had no complaints! See my pictures for what we had and know we enjoyed it a lot. The only negative was our server and the service I would rate him a 2 out of 5. He apparently has worked there awhile but kept disappearing. As in clearing part of the table, disappears for awhile, came back to do the 2nd third, then same thing. Seems like he'd never finish anything and kept going everywhere else. Personality was pleasant despite a few personal references we didn't need to know about him and alcohol :-/ Anyhow, the magic answer is yes... would love to come again. It's pricey, but worth it on a date night out.

Yelp
I can't believe it took us this long to find this place This is a great date spot. Vibe and ambience is dark and sexy. Food and service very good. We had the onion tart which was really awesome my wife had short rib and I had the mussels and fries.

Yelp
This over priced brunch bistro is not worth trying. We ordered the baked Brie, a glass of champagne and 1 mixed drink and then left. Nothing else on the menu was appealing on the brunch menu and the menu's were dirty. They say the dinner has a better variety, perhaps... On a positive note the atmosphere was nice and the staff was very friendly

Yelp
Cute place with great patio space but the food was disappointing. We also waited a very long time to get the appetizer and the entrees with almost only 4 other tables . Foie gras in the menu was served seared but menu did no say that . Sadly was under cooked. The steak frites was good but meat was undercooked again and fries came with si much salt that we couldn't eat them , they gave us new fries and they were delicious! Also had a side of cassoulet that was delicious . It is pricey so we were expecting almost perfection and they did not deliver that is why the 3 stars.

Yelp
Left Bank Bistro is such an awesome French Bistro!! Amazing, delicious food - the new chef delivers perfection!! The drinks are always so well made, and very good variety and yummy cocktails. Ambiance is so nice - both indoor and outdoor areas have their own charm! Menu options are great and evening is delicious! The burger is one of the best I've ever had, the chicken salad is insane...and all of the French inspired dishes are delectable. A must try!
