The Leftbank Annex in Portland is a gem of a venue, and it truly shone during the recent cheese and meat festival! From the moment | walked in, it was clear that the space was pertect for hosting an event of this scale and nature. The industrial-chic design, with its high ceilings and open floor plan, created a welcoming atmosphere that was both stylish and functional. The layout allowed for an effortless flow of traffic between vendor tables, tasting stations, and lounge areas. It never felt crowded, despite the enthusiastic turnout, and there were plenty of cozy spots to sit and enjoy the delicious bites we picked up along the way. The natural light streaming through the large windows during the day made everything feel warm and inviting. The festival itself made excellent use of the Annex's multi-level setup, with upstairs areas providing additional experiences and views of the bustling crowd below. It felt intimate yet spacious—a rare balance. The acoustics were great, allowing for live music to set the mood without being overwhelming. All in all, The Leftbank Annex was the ideal host for the festival. Its unique charm and thoughtful design elevated the entire experience. I can't wait to attend another event here!

It’s a stunning venue for weddings, offering a unique blend of industrial charm and modern elegance. With its spacious layout and versatile design, it's perfect for couples seeking a trendy yet timeless setting for their special day. The exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and ample natural light create a romantic atmosphere, while the customizable floor plan allows for seamless transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The professional staff at Leftbank Annex goes above and beyond to ensure every detail is taken care of, making it an exceptional choice for couples looking for a memorable wedding experience.

We hosted our wedding reception at Leftbank Annex and couldn’t have been happier. The space is stunning, modern, industrial, and incredibly versatile, which gave us the perfect backdrop to bring our vision to life. Kylie was amazing to work with throughout the process. She was organized, responsive, and made everything feel smooth and stress-free. The entire team was professional and ensured the event ran seamlessly. Our guests were blown away by the venue, and we received so many compliments on the atmosphere. If you're looking for a stylish, well-run space for a celebration, Leftbank Annex is a fantastic choice!

I have always loved events at The Left Bank Annex. Last weekend was the first time I’ve worked an event in the downstairs space. It’s split into two sections, a main area and a part next to it as a lounge space. Great for small/medium events. The staff was amazing to work with, as always, and vendor access was a 10/10.

I attended a wine Exposition at the leftbank annex. Wineries from Walla Walla pouring and the facility was very nice. Large open space very raw exposed girder inside, but it felt clean and comfortable as well. Located very near the Rose Garden so easy to get to, so you have to park in the Rose Garden parking lots and walk a couple blocks to the facility itself. Could have used a little more bathroom space and closer parking would have been nice, but a useful small convention space on the whole.

Helped cater for the Portland cheese and meat festival here. It was a blast, and everyone had a lot of fun! It's an amazing space whether you're there to host an event or go to an event.

I went her for an event I was volunteering at, it’s a great space, would be great for weddings or family reunions, birthdays etc. or beer event, craft fair etc.

Google
This venue is a great for those wanting a large, centrally located, temperature controlled (let's face it, it's Oregon -- who knows what kind of weather you'll get!), and Urban/Industrial event space! As a vendor, Kylie, Joe and the team are always great to work with and are always helpful and accommodating to the clients as well. That is a win-win! The venue rental/access period itself gives plenty of time for vendors to set-up and teardown as well, which is great. You won't be disappointed if you are considering Leftbank for your event, whether it's a corporate event, tradeshow, or wedding! ~Reedville Catering

Yelp
Went to a wedding here. Absolutely perfect, parking not too sure about availability. Large enough to hold large parties. Downstairs perfect for cocktails and top floor for getting ready for the event.

Yelp
This is an event planner's dream venue. Centrally located in Portland next to the Rose Quarter, the Leftbank Annex boasts a versatile interior, built on sustainable architecture, flexible and adaptable amenities, and a modern contemporary space that fits the bill for just about any kind of event; be it a corporate function or wedding reception. Having attended a few corporate shindigs and a wedding reception here, I have seen the transformation come alive in so many different ways. The main floor of the annex is so beautiful during the day time with the natural sunlight (complete with window shades in case it's too much), and the acoustics are perfect for any additional musical entertainment. The staff here is top notch: professional and courteous to inquiring planners and guests alike. It is also remarkably multi-level. There is a downstairs, basement like level for smaller functions as well as the main floor that can be partitioned to whatever flow / layout. The mezzanine level provides a nice view of the room and the high ceilings certainly don't hurt. Another thing worth boasting is the ventilation system, which is crucial whenever there are going to be hundreds of bodies in any single room. Assuming there are no events happening at the Rose Garden, the East/West lots are usually available for people looking to park their cars. There is no street parking for several blocks, so it's important to be aware of this before coming. Anytime I'm invited to the Leftbank Annex, I won't think twice. I definitely plan on being in attendance.

Yelp
This is a totally awesome event venue. It's beautifully designed, sustainably minded (renovated using repurposed timbers, low-water-use fixtures, etc), has an excellent flow, and it's really simply a pleasure to party in. I've been in this space quite a few times, and while I've never thrown an event here, I've seen other events in action and finally, last night, attended an event as a guest. So this review is really from the perspective of an attendee, not someone who has actually done business with Leftbank. The main floor upstairs is huge and open and much, much larger than the overall capacity allows. It's really a blank canvas. The main space is airy with high ceilings and a mezzanine area for VIP's or whatever. There's a room for coat check, modular bars, and an in-house sound system. Add in 4 flat screens up on the edge of the mezzanine facing outward that you can use for videos, Wii, or anything else fun like that. Downstairs offers up a low-ceiling room system that can be segmented into multiple meeting/display/classrooms with a larger open area and bathrooms (that serve both downstairs and upstairs. The downstairs area also has a long loading dock that would be a perfect place to keep your line (should you have one) in a space that's under cover but still cut off from the main space. Parking is usually available nearby in the Rose Garden East/West lots and there is a small parking area out back for the event organizers and staff. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this space for someone who needs a classy venue for an event.

Yelp
Cool industrial open space that has both classroom and office/meeting type set up. Great for gatherings, meetings, events, etc. We currently used this space to shoot our company commercial. Great loft feel with perfect lighting during the daytime. Can practically do any type of set up within this space. Overall good location near the Rose Quarter off Broadway. Parking lot is attached to building.

Yelp
We booked the Leftbank Annex soon after getting engaged and had our wedding there in August of this year. Haehee, my main contact and event coordinator, was amazing. She actually took over after we had paid our deposit and started working with her predecessor. Honestly, I liked communicating and working with her more than the first person because of her responsiveness and willingness to make time for our questions and concerns. Haehee even met with me and my catering coordinator to iron out all the final details weeks before the big day. The venue itself is perfect for all kinds of events. We loved it because the great room was large enough to have our ceremony on one side and our reception on the other for 150 people. We didn't end up renting the lower floor because we just didn't need it, but I would recommend that option to brides who want to do a complete flip of the great room during cocktail hour. What drew my husband and I to Leftbank (and we checked out several venues) was its urban, industrial feel and the fact that it's a blank canvas so anyone who rents it can do what they want. We loved the brick walls and cement floors, and the bonus is the greenroom on the second floor of the great room. Our bridal party used that as our bridal suite and it was decked out with awesome hipster furniture, a bathroom (toilet and sink separated by a door), and a shower room (changing room and shower also separated by a door). There was an extra sink and refrigerator in the room that we utilized as well. We had SO MUCH fun on our wedding day. It sounds cheesy but it was really the best day of our lives, at least so far. And we couldn't have done it anywhere else but Leftbank. Photo credit goes to Jamie Jones Photography!

Yelp
Came here for my husband's holiday party. The party was super fun! I think that was more due to the event planning itself rather than the venue. The dining area was a little dark and cold and the food queue went pass the dining tables, which was just awkward. They had their last holiday party at the Portland Art Museum, which was beautiful! This- not so much. Although I will say with the more intimate venue, the dance floor was way more fun and the group had less room to spread out so it felt like a more intimate party, than a big cavernous room. We had a fantastic time, but I wouldn't say the venue was very memorable. We took Uber, but parking looks like it would be a pain around here as well. I'm not totally sold on the space, but the party was a blast and I'm guessing much more affordable than the Art Museum.

Yelp
I attended the Great American Distiller's Festival at the Left Bank Annex today. I am slightly under the influence of the tasty wares I sampled at the booze fest, so we'll see how this review turns out. Nice event venue. Seriously, the upscale, loft-style vibe was not expected. (I'm gonna sound like a douchy snob. Sorry.) This place reminded me of a very hip event space I visited a few times in downtown Smell-A. Movie stars spent way too much money on that place, and I have to say Leftbank Annex is just as classy, or better. This place is top-shelf in every respect. Beautiful architecture, clean, easy to get to, plenty of parking. Need a hassle-free space for your big event? You'll have a hard time finding something better in Stumptown. I'm just sayin'.

Yelp
Came with a friend to attend the event URBAN UNVEILED. A Sort of Bridal Fair. For those who one day hope to get hitched. My friend is engaged to be married next year. She won free tickets to this event. Her Betrothed decided to pass. ha ha Free Food and drinks were involved. Sounded good to me! A Harem of vendors were involved. Apparently everything you needed to be married! Makeup people. Hair People. Picture People. Cake People. Dress People. LIttle Tiny food People. Bar/drink people. Invite/ Save the Date (STD) people. hahahaha. Venue People. After all that nonsense there was a little Fashion Show. Not gonna lie. I had a fab time. The dresses and suites didn't fit the models AT ALL. Super baggy and loose. Oh well. Everything was top notch. The Leftbank Annex is super fab. Great Event Host. The bathrooms were Stellar. So, yeah. They Get 5 Stars.

Yelp
Very cool venue! I attended an event for New Avenues for Youth and the space was perfect for accommodating everyone. It was just spacious enough so that different areas of the event could be organized nicely, and despite the high turnout I never felt like it was over-crowded. Even the bathrooms seemed to be more than enough for the crowd. I'll definitely keep the Leftbank Annex in mind for future hosted events.

Yelp
I've been here for 3 charity events and 2 large Ameriprise dinners...and can't think of a better location for large venues. Street parking can get tricky, but if you're going to drink, you should consider cabbing it anyway. The downstairs is kinda like an unfinished windowed basement. It's where they usually check you in and serve drinks for "cocktail hour". It's also the floor with the restrooms. While it may be a pain to have to go downstairs to use the facilities., at least there are enough of them (the women's has at least 6, if not 8) Upstairs is a giant wood floor room with huge windows. It gives off a very urban feel. To one corner you have a raised DJ area/platform. The other 3 corners are where open bars are usually placed. It's the are dinner will be served, if you are there for a dinner. The loft upstairs is like a "VIP" area, only I've never been to an event where you had to be VIP to gain entrance. 2 events ago, it was the hard liquor bar. The last event; it was where the silent auction items were placed. My favorite thing about the main floor is all the windows. At night, you can see city lights twinkling through them, like glorious artwork. I can't be certain who caters the food, but have a feeling it's whoever you hire. 2 of the events had multiple restaurants around town sponsoring the food, so I stuck with what I knew I liked; the Lebanese sides from Al Amir. If you need a large space to rent for the night, this is your place.

Yelp
The building has a terrible layout, the entry is too small to accommodate check in of a large group so we ended up in a very long line on the street. Hard, cold and gray on the inside, terrible acoustics. I would never attend another event there.

Yelp
Came here for my boyfriend's adidas holiday party and it's a pretty nice venue. There is so much space and there are three levels from what I saw. It's a great spot for a special occasion, company soiree, or random rave.

RJ G.

Yelp
This place is such a damn rip off. Don't go here people. Not the place for any occasion. They are crazy expensive and have hidden fees up the ass!
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Really cool event space with a lot of room for breakout sessions. The only downfall is that there are really no food options around, so if you're here for an event, hopefully they're providing food!

Rebecca G.

Yelp
I finally went to my first event here which the Walla Walla Wine Tasting event. Beautiful space! Open and airy and the perfect place for a big event!

Yelp
I've worked many events here (usually for the registration process). It's a very beautiful space! I love the windows surrounding the building. The views of the city as a backdrop to your special event takes it up a notch IMO. I've seen the upstairs used as a VIP area. Bathrooms are on the lower level (where you enter). The only downfall to this space is that it can get very loud. Since it's a bit industrial with the cement floors and open ceiling, all the sound just bounces around and around and around. But if you're gettin your drink on at a party, who cares?

Debbie F.

Yelp
We held our daughter's wedding (10/27/2018) here and it was wonderful! The event manager and all the staff were so helpful before, during and after the wedding - they truly wanted our experience to be great! They had a great selection of vendors to choose from and helped us coordinate with vendors that were new to them. All email's were returned promptly and every effort was made to accommodate our requests. It was fabulous! Great team!

Yelp
Love this space!! The combination of updated industrial design and embracing of the old bones and original patina of the space is just perfect! As a vendor it is awesome to find the staff of a beautiful space like this is just as incredible. We've loved every opportunity we've had working in this space and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique venue in downtown Portland.

Yelp
The space is beautiful and seems like a great place to hold events. This was only my first time here, but it was a great fit for an awards banquet.

Joy S.

Yelp
The event space is amazing. Our professional event was a big success. The only complaint is the onsite rep assigned as our contact person for all event planning details. They were absolutely inaccessible and unresponsive. Thankfully we worked with a fantastic caterer that could answer all our questions about the venue nuances and they coordinated ALL the in-house details for us - even AV/Tech! That said, this event space is beautiful and conveniently located... just be sure to use a caterer and rental company that has an extensive working knowledge of the Leftbank Annex, or you'll be frustrated as heck. Had our event been a wedding, I would have been distraught about the onsite rep. More accurately, he's an "out to lunch rep"

Yelp
I went to the opening of this venue, and I have to say it is one of the nicest put together facilities/ properties that I have been to in a long time. I have not gone to other events there, but the architecture, the sound, the food, basically everything was spot on. The time and thought that was put into the creation of this venue was more than evident. I don't live in portland, but if I did, I would go to any event at this venue based on my one experience there. I've been in NYC and Los Angeles my whole life and I've been to enough venues to know the difference between good and bad. The thing I like the most about the Leftbank Annex is the marriage between the original architecture of the building being left in tact with the modern conveniences. I loved the raw feeling of it, but not overdone like so many "artsy" new york places that feel like a cold basement. What else can I say, I loved the place :)
