I visited this restaurant with my family and found the experience deeply disappointing, especially given the hotel’s recent claims of being ranked among the world’s best. Based on our visit, that distinction feels entirely undeserved.
From arrival, the lack of service was noticeable. There was no greeting or assistance from the doorman or bell staff, and when we asked for directions inside the hotel, we were met with minimal engagement and simply pointed toward the elevator. The restaurant itself failed to make a strong first impression. The space felt cramped and overly casual, with tightly packed tables, which did not align with expectations for a Michelin-starred dining venue.
Service throughout the meal was subpar. Several staff members appeared disengaged and unsmiling, while others operated in a rigid, transactional manner. The food was equally inconsistent. While a few dishes were acceptable, many were bland and forgettable, lacking the refinement expected at this level.
Having experienced other Michelin-starred Chinese restaurants across Hong Kong, this restaurant does not come close in terms of service, atmosphere, or cuisine. Overall, the experience fell well short of its reputation, and I would not return.
