The Lemon Tree Restaurant

Can’t fault anything. Absolutely stunning! We wanted to try bit of everything so asked the staff if it’s ok to order bunch of nibbles and starters instead of having main dish each. There was no issue at all and staff was happy to accommodate us with this. Definitely coming back here again. We made detour to come here but no regrets and happy belly leaving the restaurant.

Had a great dining experience at The Lemon Tree in Letterkenny. The food was fresh, well-presented - you can tell real care goes into the menu. The ambience really stood out for me; it’s warm, stylish, and feels both relaxed and refined. The staff were friendly and attentive. It’s a perfect spot for a nice evening out or a special meal. Would definitely recommend.

This is the second time I have been and it did not disappoint! The service, the food, the little complementary bites sent from the kitchen….it is so worth going to! The photos don’t even do the food the full justice it deserves! Everything is delicious and it is fine dining at a sensible price. Love it and cannot wait to return!

We ate for 2 people on a weeknight, there were a lot of people so you absolutely have to book, and it's worth it! We feasted, the aperitifs were delicious, enough to make us want to eat! We took the fries with beef fat, a little disappointment on our part because it doesn't really taste like it...

This was our favorite meal on our entire trip in Ireland. I'm not normally a lamb person but it came highly recommended. The lamb was out of this world and melted in my mouth. We received several little snack bites and bread to start the meal. Those were all so delightful and really made the meal something special and memorable. The lemon tart was the perfect way to conclude an absolutely perfect meal. Cannot recommend more.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant — everything from the atmosphere to the service was spot on. But the real standout for us was the cauliflower steak. It was absolutely delicious — perfectly roasted, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. It’s not easy to make a vegetable the star of the show, but they nailed it. The rest of the menu was also thoughtfully prepared, and you can really tell that quality ingredients and creativity are at the heart of what they do. We’ll definitely be back!

Very nice restaurant indeed. A warm welcome, non intrusive service by out friendly server, along with very competent food from a well run kitchen. Food was artistically plated, delicious and hot to table. Always a big brownie point from me! A truly excellent chicken terrine that had chefs take on it. Softer than a usual terrine and this worked so well. The taste and the plated accompaniments worked so well together Super risotto that all too often is a let down. Not here... delicious. Yes.....well worth a visit. Recommended. Great to see restaurants such as The Lemon Tree around the country.

If you travel Wild Atlantic Way or just visiting Donegal, make a stop in Letterkenny and treat yourself in Lemon tree restaurant. Food is amazing, well presented with complimentary snacks and sweet treats. We were pleased and really enjoyed. Staff is friendly and professional. Classic interior with nice photo wall-tribute to local food producers. Price worth it.

Small, beautiful and cozy restaurant. I ordered pork belly for the first time in my life and it was AMAZING. Excellent customer service. Great selection of wines and beers to pair with your dish.

The fish is always very good here. We had the 3 course holiday special for 32 each. Excellent value for taste and presentation. Will always visit when I'm in town.

Lemon Tree is a wonderful restaurant with refined service. We started with a bottle of Chateau Trimoulet, veggie soup and the duo of meat. All was excellent. We missed their coffee and desert selection, but would recommend a visit.

While I was here some time back, since I was writing reviews of recent trips, I thought I would reach a bit further back and add this one. Surprisingly good, considering the relatively remote location. Ate at this place and their across-the-street rival the Yellow Pepper on successive nights. While both are rivals, I give both 5 stars. Take your pick. Both are great. I wish there were restaurants like these where I live in the States. Sigh.:)

Prefer the competitors and was very disappointed with the desert that was barely defrosted when last there
