A Cajun‑leaning bayou barbecue concept operated with culinary interns in the former Zeke’s space. Covered by WQAD and the Quad‑City Times, it pairs po’boys and jambalaya with house lemonades while piloting a workforce‑development model rooted in the local scene.

I should have known better to eat here when we walked in and no one was in here at 6:30 PM on a Saturday night. First, the lemonades are pretty good, you can tell they are made fresh. The food? I’m not sure what they are cooking on in the kitchen but our peel and eat shrimp came out so hot I grabbed one and dropped it because of the heat. No warning on the temperature. So that was nice. Once the shrimp came back to a normal earthy temperature, it was pretty tasty. We weren’t given any plates for sharing an appetizer so we used the last five napkins at our table as plates. I had jambalaya and I’ve had GOOD jambalaya, I know what it’s supposed to taste like. This was not what it’s supposed to taste like. No flavor, no spice. I even added a crap ton of hot sauce and that didn’t help. I got a side of southern coleslaw, again, that had to be out of a tub, because it was so salty! I took one bite and spit it out. My husband had the beef po boy and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was not fresh but he liked his sandwich. So yeah. No sense in going here if you like bland food! I brought up the food issue to the server and she offered a new plate to go but no thanks. Paid our bill and left. Try the Garrison next door if you like food to be made correctly.

The Lemonade Stand is an amazing new restaurant that just opened in the Davenport area. They have multiple different flavors of fresh squeezed lemonade that is to die for. My family and I loved everything we tried. I’d highly recommend The Lemonade Stand to anyone looking for great lemonade and food.

We stopped by for some fresh lemonade, and I can confirm it was indeed freshly made—I watched them prepare it! While it wasn’t as sweet as typical fair lemonade, it was perfect as is. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese, and as a huge mac and cheese lover, I have to say this was hands down the best I’ve ever had. We originally just came for the lemonade, but we’ll definitely be back for a full meal. The staff was amazing, and I truly hope this place thrives!

What a great place! Friendly service, people who care about your experience and an amazing po’boy sandwich. Don’t miss the beans and greens. And of course the lemonade flight is on point.

Only 1 person working and she seemed really confused. She also barely talked to us. Tried ordering several things and they were out of it. Food was decent but clearly just thrown in a microwave. Don’t come here lol.

Came here for lunch on a Thursday at 11 am. They had no lemons, so they couldn't make any lemonade. The food was OK, but they also had no to-go plates or silverware. Whoever runs this restaurant obviously doesn't want to put any money into running the business properly.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place. I like the idea of it.... I mean who doesn't want people to thrive that are just starting out?? The seating is limited, and we had limited options. We wanted a seat away from the live music stage. There were three booths. One was occupied, and the furthest away from them (they were very loud and we didn't want to sit next to 1 of of the only 2 patrons who were already seated) had not been bussed. Shortly after, the table had been bussed but not cleaned. During the hour we were there, they did not clean it. The waitress was not helpful at all when we asked for details on the items on the menu. She seemed really disconnected from customer service. No straws. I'm ok with that, but my alcoholic drink had not been mixed. All of the alcohol was at the top. I wanted to mix it and had to use my lemon slice to do it. The food was ok. It was loud despite only two other occupied tables. One entrance had people going to the Garrison restaurant talking in the lobby. the other entrance had people coming through to go to concerts with only an open cage that separated the restaurant from the entryway. Not planning on going back.

Yelp
Came with one other person, they had a shrimp po boy that came on cold, un-toasted bread. Who does that!? The smashed potato had way too much garlic in it. I ordered the jambalaya bowl. It had a sad amount of chicken and the center of one piece of sausage center and the other part just in the bowl. For saying it was in the dish, one piece is not enough...

Yelp
I got the pull pork bbq sandwich. It had no flavor, mac and cheese was runny. Food 1/10 The flights of drinks was okay 6/10

Yelp
Great new bbq place in downtown. The pulled pork sandwich and beans and greens were excellent.
