Cool bar with a great happy hour. Spacious and stylish interior with plenty of seating and a few booths. Also a small front patio area. TVs over the bar to watch a game. Happy hour Mon-Fri 4-7. Service was good. Friendly staff. Street meter parking but you might have to walk a block or two. It's also pretty close to the metro.

I love this place. I’ve been to LA twice in the past year and each time I’ve gone here for some great food and a magic pint of Arthur’s finest, aka Guinness. There’s a fantastic selection of Irish whiskey that will make Irish whiskey lovers smile, and reach for their wallet. The pint is close to perfect. 4.75 out of 5 on my scale with the cream sticking to the side of the glass all the way to the bottom. Food wise I LOVE a great Lamb Burger and the one at the Liberties ticks all the boxes. Their pizza choices run the gamut with lots of great options. I always have the Lamb Burger but I saw lots of pizza leaving the kitchen on both of my visits. And last but not least make sure you connect with Ray, the owner, he’s a top bloke, who embodies all that is great about Irish hospitality and our Cead Mile Fáilte.

I moved to DTLA about two months ago, and this spot is right across the street, so I’ve been coming here more often lately. The happy hour deals are unbeatable, the food is delicious, and the crowd is always fun. They always have whatever game you want to watch on TV, but if you’re looking for a place to catch up with friends, they also have super comfy seating. There’s a cozy corner with couches and even a private room you can request. The decor is on point, and the restroom is always spotless. One of the best parts? It’s dog-friendly! My pup loves it so much that he tries to lead me there every time we go for a walk. The owner, Raymond, is incredibly accommodating. I booked a table for 10 for the Super Bowl because I love this bar so much and wanted to share it with my friends. Raymond gave us two different seating options, and when we decided to move to the patio, he was completely flexible. The whole process was hassle-free, and in case you were wondering, the reservation system through Google works great. The bartenders are awesome—especially Jack, who’s super friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s the perfect spot to grab a drink, enjoy some great food, and play a card game!

Great find! Food and drinks are delicious! Ordered the Liberties Burger, Thai Sweet Chili Wings, and Pizza Diavola. All the food was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. I’ll definitely be back to check out the night time vibe and explore this menu even more. 10/10 recommend!

Had the chance to checkout “Liberties of Dublin” and dug it. Exceptional drink selection, best legit Guinness pour in all of LA and recommend an Irish Coffee to close out the night. Great spot to meet up before a game, heading into DTLA or after work hangout. Cheers All

Wonderful food and staff! Went for opening day, and already planning my next visit. We had the Lamb and Wagyu blend burger, both well portioned with serious frenchfries— everything was delicious! Also ordered fried pickles to share (addicting!). I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of seating options and loved the decor. Great date-night hang,solo mid-day hang or a place to meet friends for a catch-up over drinks and a meal. Check out their Instagram, it seems like more and more community events are happening.

I stopped by The Liberties during the week and absolutely amazing. If you’re like me and like a mellow, chill ambience with great drinks and food, this is the spot. Everyone is friendly and the service is top notch. I’m definitely coming back here to hang out.

Liberties of Dublin on Wilshire Blvd is a fantastic spot to enjoy a delicious pizza experience! The pizza at Liberties of Dublin is an absolute must-try - from the perfectly crispy crust to the mouthwatering toppings, each slice is a flavor-packed delight. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients shine through in every bite. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff add to the overall wonderful dining experience.

Enjoyable overall vibe and great service. Ordered quick and served quick. Very basic order for us, pepperoni pizza and buffalo wings. Their regular bar food options were absolutely fantastic. Plenty of topping on the pizza and the wings were crisped to perfection. Would absolutely return to try more of their food options.

Stopped in for a quick bite before a show nearby. We were fortunate enough to show up right at happy hour. Service from the bar was fast and friendly. I wasn't sure what I wanted so I got the pepperoni pizza. Zero regrets. We didn't stick around long enough to experience a bunch but the lively atmosphere, great service, and delicious food make for an easy 5 star experience.

Anyone living in the Wilshire Apartments need to take a walk downstairs to try The Liberties of Dublin. Great service, great ambiance, great food and drinks, and great prices. Don't feel like cooking? Head downstairs and place an order, they even have a happy hour M-F till 7pm. You won't be disappointed!

In town to see a show at the Teragram Ballroom and Yelp said this was a safe bet. Now I can say that this is a very safe bet. A mere 4 minute walk away and close to both free street parking and paid lots, this is a great location and they serve up some decent pizza and pub food to go with both traditional Irish Whiskey and anything else you crave. Big screen tv's to watch the game with your canned EDM music in the background. No waiter service as its all order at the bar stuff.

Super chill Irish bar on a Friday night. Never had fried pickles before so I had to try them! Pretty good and even came with some surprise fried jalapeños and aioli sauce. Service is great! Drinks came out quickly and were good. Plus bartenders are nice.

We attended an engagement party at this venue and were surprised by the amount of space in being able to accommodate everyone. We found the seating very comfortable and the service was good. The drinks were very tasty and there was a great crowd that was enjoying a basketball game that evening as well.

Started my evening here for some drinks with the boyf and the service was great. Loved that they do happy hours on weekend -- the reason we ended up coming here while in town. We started with the frozen Irish coffee which was creamy, sweet and so strong. And I got a couple nitro espresso martinis which unfortunately weren't on the happy hour menu but were great. The happy hour menu was somewhat limited for drinks, as there was only like two beers and two cocktails that were available which was kind of a bummer, but the drinks are good. The servers were very kind and you order at the bar so there's no table service. I loved the more open concept of the bar as well. There wasn't a ton of seating as it was mainly larger party tables, but luckily we got there early enough to get a table. Overall a great experience and excited to come back again!

They got a pizza oven and it makes delicious pizzas! Come by often cause they're just next door and it's an easy place to grab a bite before heading home, so was very excited they finally added pizzas on the menu. Head straight to the bar to place orders and then grab a number and a seat. Service is still friendly, but it's not always the fastest food, so plan accordingly.

What a great find! Met some friends here on their suggestion. Sizable space - good location just West of downtown LA. Easily accessible by freeway. Employees are friendly and welcoming. Started with a draught Guinness, poured flawlessly. Ordered the Vampire Killer Burger with fries. Soooo good!! This is a lamb burger with garlic and jalapeños. Had mine med rare. Nice kick!! Other drinks were a Rum Old Fashioned (unique! First time), and finished with an Irish Coffee - best I've had! Wonderfully creamy top with nutmeg sprinkled! Also just a couple miles to Dodger Stadium and a mile to places like Staples Center. So if you're attending an event it's easy to eat here beforehand.

Wanted something super close to the bellwether for some pre drinks and a bite. Called the day before for a reservation. Showed up a bit before 5 and it wasn't busy at all. The table that was picked out for us was perfect! Ordered the hibiscus Paloma , it was delicious and the presentation was eye candy as well. Got a good buzz. Ordered the chicken sandwich and fries with a side of garlic aioli, delicious! We were there for 2 hours and you can tell this place gets packed the later it gets. You can tell the place has its regulars. The men tending bar were great ! The place is super clean. It's super close to the freeway. Would totally go back if I'm in the area again.

I was visiting a couple of my friends who lived in a nearby apartment to The Liberties of Dublin. They frequented Liberties and suggested we go there for dinner. Huge plus that it was walking distance from their place. It was 7:30pm on a Tuesday evening when we stopped by Liberties. I thought it was a really nice modern pub. It had cool lighting, cozy booths, and classic 50s Motown playing in the background. Seemed like a great place to hang out. Service was totally fine. We didn't interact with the wait staff much, but we had a friendly server. Drinks and food came out rather quickly. I found their Irish coffees in 3 ways a unique offering. You can get the Irish Coffee hot, frozen, or like an iced cold brew. I opted to get the frozen version, because it reminded me of Erin Rose in New Orleans where I had my first ever frozen Irish Coffee. Liberties' was good but way more boozy than I expected. Not complaining, just saying. The frozen version came out thick like a chocolate shake. I got the chicken wings lemon pepper with a side of blue cheese. The wings were perfectly fried and full of flavor. I did find them to be on the saltier side though, so the blue cheese definitely helped. I tried my friend's burger and fries, which were awesome. Their fries were excellent. Golden brown and crispy on the outside. The burger was wagyu blended and had such a juicy texture. The sharpness of the white cheddar and tang from the mustard sauce gave the burger a unique taste. I would certainly get this dish for myself next time.

5/5 bar/restaurant near my apartment! My go to place for whenever we have big sporting events playing on tv (mma/baseball/basketball). Made some great memories here already. Every one of the workers are chill and the beer/food is great as always! The place is like any other bar in downtown. They have great seats and a few TVs that you can watch any major sporting event that occurs in Los Angeles. ID required upon entering so make sure you have your ID. Definitely will be back during any major sporting event or if I just wanna grab a beer after work. parking is street parking.

Loved this place!! The vibes are so chill and they had two djs playing house and edm music. I came here with my girlfriends just last weekend for the Blaxicana event and saw a fashion show , had a delicious Moscow mule, and delicious vegetarian pizza I'm definitely swinging by again if I'm in the area.

After being at a cheer competition we found this spot around the corner. Unfortunately, I was so hungry by the time we got here I forgot to take pictures. But the location was pretty easy to find. There was a good amount of parking around the area, though most on the street and for a cost. Bartender was friendly and attentive, and made sure we got our food quickly. Everything tasted fresh and vibrant. Even had happy hour during the weekend. Plenty of seating for large or small groups. Very clean and comfortable to hang out.

Wanted to order takeout food from them on a Friday night: The Yelp order didn't work ("Sorry, this business is either closed or not taking online orders right now."). Their phone didn't work either, got an error message in a robotic tone. Then I got a text, "Hi this is The Liberties of Dublin Restaurant, I saw that we just missed your call how can I help?" I said I'd like to put in a takeout order. Never heard back.

I walked here from the 7th Street/Metro Center station for a social. I ordered the lemon pepper chicken wings $13 according to their happy hour pricing ($15 otherwise). We sat in the patio, which had a spacious area and long table. I appreciated that they had a separate spot where you could get a water cup and refill it on demand. To order your food, you go up to the bartender, and you can pay up front to close your tab. I appreciated the bartender's friendly and welcoming attitude when I ordered. The lemon pepper wings tasted really savory with a seasoning that reminded me of Cajun flavors. This matched well with the lemony taste to create a great blend. They also provided me a good amount of wings that made me allowed me to share a few. Although I only reviewed the wings, the burger and fries dishes also looked great and sell at almost the same price as what I ordered. This may make ordering a burger dish more cost-effective.

Stopped by to grab a quick bite and a couple drinks after my friend who lives down the street suggested it. So glad he did, the service was amazing, gives you that hometown bar feel. The staff was warm, welcoming and so friendly and helpful. We had a pepperoni pizza that was served piping hot and super tasty with a delicious crispy crust. We also had a mezcal cocktail and two shots each. The m&m shot was tasty but the green tea shot was so so delicious. I think I'll be stopping by a lot more in the very near future. Shout out to Z, he was such a cool guy, thanks to him for that green tea shot recommendation. Can't wait for our next visit.

Liberties of Dublin is nestled in a great location on the cusp of DTLA and Koreatown. I have been going here for the past year and truly enjoy myself every time. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. Their menu items are well thought out, and the food quality is amazing, especially for a bar. My favorites are the vampire lamb burger and the newly added "On the lamb" pizza. Their wings (bone-in and boneless) are very popular and come in various flavors. The ambiance is welcoming, relaxed, with a layout for groups, parties, sports fans, and a person just wanting to unwind after work. The happy hour is nice and has a variety of options for all the enjoy. A must try!

I love the Liberties. I have an amazingly passionate owner, an awesome selection of alcohol, and the food is next level. Additionally, they have built an amazing community of locals who are so kind and welcoming to newcomers!

The Liberties of Dublin took over the space that Plancheck used to occupy. So that was our happy spot before they closed. So of course, my co-workers and I were excited to hear another place was going to take it over. Since they have opened, it's quickly become our spot to go for happy hours and after work hang outs. For happy hour, you place your order at the bar and they charge and ring you up there. The drinks and food are good. My go to drink is their whiskey mule. Their food is typical bar food, fries, chicken wings, pretzel bites but they have fried pickles. I know not everyone is a fan of pickles but if you are. You have to try these. The batter is light and airy and the dipping sauce is great! They didn't change much to the space. But it's very open especially when they open the windows.

Came here before a concert since it's walking distance from the venue. All I can say is I'm so excited to come back! The staff was friendly, they have plenty of beer on tap. We were recommended: Thai Chili wings- juicy, crispy, flavorful 10/10 Pastrami fries- the fries themselves were very crispy, overall though these were 7.5/10 Friend pickles- these were spheres not rounds. Perfectly fried and the aioli was delicious. 8/10. The ambiance was perfect for a hangout with friends. Light, fun, and plenty of seating. Very excited to be back!

Dropped by after an early hockey game. Great option before or after events downtown. One of the owners came by and spoke with us, He is very involved and dedicated to great beer. Food was great as well. Will definitely go back.

Look what popped into the neighborhood and what a pleasant new addition it is! This new Irish pub replaced the old neighborhood bar/restaurant that was here before and it really has been a welcome addition to the neighborhood. I honestly didn't know if there was something else that was going to open up shop that's how long it's been. Before Liberties was PlanCheck and they closed because of the pandemic and since then the place has been empty until St. Patrick's Day Weekend came along and lo and behold the unveiling of The Liberties and good things are finally back. They have a whole whiskey list and more on the way too of a lot of interesting and international whisky choices. They also have a wide variety of beers to choose from. They definitely came ready to go and I can't wait to come back and see what more they have. The owners are cool. Brad and Craig really have a vision for the restaurant and what they hope to bring to downtown. They said they want to have entertainment nights along with whisky and beer flight club nights as well. Definitely something to look forward to. So far so good.

Solid sports/whiskey bar! Between three people, we shared the pastrami fries and a chicken Caesar salad. Everything was delicious! The pastrami was pretty dang good and really hit the spot. I also had a frozen Irish coffee - delicious! We were there during a Copa América game and it was a fun atmosphere. You do have to order at the bar even if you're seated at a table - service was super friendly. I liked the layout of the bar with the variety of seating areas - looks effect for large groups.

So... as one might see from my account, I don't review a lot of places. I also specifically refrain from giving bad reviews, whatever. My experience may not be your experience. What I eat and drink may be different from what others like. That being said- The Liberties of Dublin has one of the largest selections of Whiskey that I've come across. They really know about what they're serving. I have not visited without being turned on to a new libation worthy of such an establishment. I will admit I am biased. I am a regular and have known these purveyors for a while and have great respect for their expertise, care for people and what they are trying to do with this venture. To which I will say I very much support them. So No. I didn't just walk in off the street, demanding their every attention and whining about how my associate got a 1/4 teaspoon more of whatever than I did. I also know how to read a room; when it's my turn I'll get the attention I, in turn would provide to an old friend. Figure it out. If you don't know learn how to be one, you won't be one. The place is very spacious with different areas with comfortable seating. A parlor room for privacy, quiet and luxurious. A "snug" but open and great for holding court under a magnificent Teeling Neon Phoenix. Inside/outside patio seating (weather permitting), a large floor area by a large screen that can be lowered for sports or whatever they want to entertain you with. A large bar with several TV screens if you must ignore who you came with (jk). I've been here for several different events, Birthdays, Holidays, Tiki takeover. "Watching" Sunday football during brunch. I've been for live music etc. I come by whenever I can. When I want something good to eat when I don't want to make it myself. When I want to try a new Whiskey, a cocktail... All that! I don't live very close. It isn't convenient for me. I come for my friends 'beit staff or otherwise. The best Whiskeys and company. My favorite [Sunday brunch in Los Angeles. Yes! Frozen Irish Coffee, Yes! Jammy Eggs, Salmon Scramble] Yes! Sullivan's Red and the best Irish Coffee anywhere (my kitchen excluded). Great Beer and Cocktails. Fried Pickles. Find something you like. This place is worthy of multiple visits. Whatever factors permitting - You will want to be a regular. If not, find a place that makes you feel like I do about this one.

OMG!!!! So much fun!!! Great atmosphere, great drinks (duh), GREAT PIZZA and great people!!! So, we went on Tuesday evening around 5p ish crowd was thin but growing. By 7p it was elbow room and laughter . They have lots of space; Outside, inside Nooks and Crannies, and even a private room that you can rent if you want to be private... MOST FUN IN A LONG WHILE. Ray from Dublin you've outdone yourself mate. What a cool spot, great vibe, comfortable seating, amazing food and ambiance. Yes Los Angeles you too can experience true Irish bar hospitality right here in our fair city... Drinks: fantastic, with a lot of whiskeys I don't think you'll find anywhere else, and a lot of other stuff for that matter. It's a mixologist heaven cause it's a bar... in LA... run by a guy from Ireland.. need I say anymore to lure you in? But the real secret is the FOOD. Someone in that kitchen knows what the hell they are doing. I'll let you go and figure it out for yourself I don't want to spoil it; BUT! I have just one teaser for you: Pork Belly Ceviche. Don't pass it up, it's a mistake to do so. Tell Ray we said hey.

It was readily apparent within the first few minutes I sat down at the bar that The Liberties has a clientele of regulars: The bartenders are on a first-name basis with them, know where they're from, what they've been doing, what they like to drink, and will spend nearly fifteen minutes laboring over one cocktail for one of these customers, deliberating on just the right ingredients, garnish, etc. Now, if you are one of these lucky regulars, that is probably pretty great. If, however, you are sitting between these regulars, watching the bartenders walk back and forth past you yet unable to get any service despite an empty beer glass, no food, no water, for a good half-hour-plus, well... I can't say what the food was like because no one ever came around to ask if I wanted any. I was interested in trying something, but by the time a server finally realized I was there, I was more than ready to leave. Watching the downright obsequious service their regulars were getting while I was virtually invisible was offensive. And since I haven't got the time, patience, or low self-esteem needed to sit there until the staffers finally notice me enough to let me order a second beer, I don't think I will be back.

I came for a rum tasting and found one of my favorite bars in town! I love a solid Irish coffee, a great one is hard to come by. But they have 3 versions! The food is amazing and the service is great. The happy hour is one of the best in the city. Don't sleep on this place!

Casual Irish bar located not far from DTLA. Liberties seems to always have a good crowd when I've gone. The drinks are seriously crafted here. My favorites are the Irish coffee or the Liberties margarita, but they serve more complex drinks as well. They also have tap and bottled beers, such as Duvel.

Came here for a Sullivan's Beer event. Great spot. The bar has several different seating areas all are super comfortable great art on the walls by Irish artists. Crowd was friendly, staff was super nice and attentive. Owner was around chatting people up. Tried some of the menu items and enjoyed it all. Wish I lived closer to downtown because this would be my home base. I'll be back.

First time going I this bar, the ambiance is energetic and the staff is wry friendly. I also tried their Burger but forgot to snap a picture cocktails and food are good! Definitely will go back!

The Liberties is the bar you've been waiting for LA. The drinks are second to none. Their Old Fashioned is without a doubt the best in LA. The food is equally delicious. Bartenders give expert recommendations and each drink is always at its absolute best when mixed by these masters. Special shoutout to Ray, who has quickly and permanently become my favorite bartender in town. The atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends or watching the Laker game or dancing to a top LA scene DJ. There is something for everyone to enjoy here and I highly highly highly recommend you stop by for a drink as soon as you can because theLiberties is going to quickly become LA's Premier Irish Bar. You can bet on it.

Great service and excellent food. All the stuff are very fun and friendly. The pizza and chicken wings are to die for. They also make excellent drinks.

My husband and I flew into Los Angeles and we had been wanting to try this place. I'm so glad we did! Everything we had was just spot on. The lamb burger was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. The accompanying fries were just as they were meant to be. Nice slight crunch on the outside and fluffy soft on the inside. Now the drinks. Do not leave here without trying the Irish coffee, the Sullivan's Malting's Irish Red Ale and a pint of Guinness. The Irish coffee is the BEST Irish coffee I have ever had. Every single sip is just a taste of joy. Apparently the recipe is from one of the owners grandmother and I'm sure she would be proud! Then the Irish red ale? Red ales aren't usually high on my list to enjoy but this one changed my mind. Wow! Then the perfectly poured classic Guinness. It just made the beginning of the weekend SO much better. The lighting, the decor and the all around feel of this place had me feeling like I was welcome. No pretentiousness, not too loud and a good cozy feeling. I can't wait to come back here when I'm in town!

Grateful to have found this spot open on New Year's Eve morning for brunch while being in town to watch the Rose Bowl. I've frequented several irish restaurants/pubs in my life and even managed one for a year. My father developed a successful franchise brand in the late 2000s. The place rocked. My corn beef tacos were incredible. We were told they brine the meat for I think 10 days. The Guinness was as smooth as getting a pint at the Dublin brewery. Ambiance, drinks, modern decor made it the coolest modern LA Irish Pub I've ever been too. If you're ever in downtown LA I highly recommend. The frozen coffee drink was very memorable. Damn good. My dad kept saying that's the best bartender he's ever had as well. Slainte

Have been here a few times as it's walking distance from my job. This place has a chill vibe and a solid menu. Nice selection of beers on tap are always ice cold, the staff are super friendly, service is fast, and the apps are excellent. Have had the fries, pastrami fries, and the pretzel bites. Have not had a bad thing here. Great happy hour too. Parking is a bust though, there's a small parking lot that's shared with some of the other business's but otherwise it's street parking which is sparse at best given the busy street. In any case, come check this place out. Def worth the visit.

OMG!! This place was SO MUCH FUN!! I went to meet my husband for drinks after work and this was the spot. He had been there with co-workers and said they really had fun. WE HAD A BLAST!! This place is SO cute!! The food and drinks were both well made AND well priced. The service was great and they were so sweet! I had a great redish colored beer that was delicious!! All in all, Downtown has given me a new "Honey, I'll be at the spot... meet me after work for drinks..." location at The Liberties of Dublin! See ya there!!!

Really nice Irish-themed bar-lounge. They've done it well- classy and relaxed, not cheesy at all. There are wide selections of whiskey, and I saw Irish whiskeys that I usually don't find at bars stateside. If you're up for it, try the Powers Gold. It was my favorite in Ireland, and it beats most in taste for a lower price point. Our group came after the kitchen closed, and the chef did not hesitate to bring out a platter of nuts/dried fruits/crackers for us when we asked if we can door dash some food. The answer is no btw, no outside food/drink. He was incredibly thoughtful for doing that, when he's already off the clock!
