I was at The Libertine for the Rum Punch event on Dec 12th with three of my friends. The event itself and the hosts of it were amazing, the music was so on point and the DJs did their big one. However, the service we experienced at the establishment/venue itself was incredibly poor and low quality. First of all, the woman at the front window wouldn’t let our friends in 6 minutes past the “GL time”, it’s never that deep, both of my friends that wanted to get in had valid tickets. Second was COAT CHECK 👎🏼👎🏼 when my friend and I went to get our coats, the women behind the table could not find TWO of my friend’s coats. This is unacceptable after paying 5 dollars for coat check all night and then have our belongings be lost when we go to retrieve them. There is no reason that they should not have been able to track down our jackets. There should not be anyone else (including employees) able to be behind the coat check area during the night. After more than 5 minutes of not being able to locate our things, one of my friends ended up going home with the wrong jacket!!! This is an incredibly bad look on the establishment and its staff. Accountability and more carefulness should be given when dealing with others’ belongings. I will not be returning to The Libertine if I know I will need to use coat check services. I will only be back in the summer. Do not recommend other events being hosted in this space.

Lib is my favourite go-to spot for a really good time. This spot puts together some really great parties! They usually have some of the best DJs in the city on their lineup & the crowd they pull is good mix—Music is on point for a night out especially if you like to dance! Drinks are reasonably priced and the service is friendly even when it gets busy. The venue itself isn’t enormous so when the party gets going its pretty intimate and the energy is contagious. I personally always have a great time at Libertine. Overall it’s a great spot if you’re looking for somewhere to have a drink, listen to a great DJ set, dance, or catch a vibe! If you wanna know what kind of vibe you’re walking into id suggest visiting their IG cause they post their event flyers.

The libertine is a Toronto classic. A great venue that is intimate but just big enough at the same time. I came here because my friend Morano and Mike were DJing but the entire staff was fire. To get in, the bouncers kept the line in check and he was quick and efficient. Kyle at the bar was fire and responsive along with all the lady bartenders. Shyanne and Aux also held it down and they made sure I was served promptly. Will I be coming back? YES. Will I recommend this place to everyone else - YES.

so this is like handsmaids tale shit? gaggles of men got in in front of us, 6 stunning women stood there with tickets while the bouncer asked multiple men if they were going to buy bottles-giving preferential treatment to men who promised to spend over girls who had already purchased $40 tickets to enter a club with no AC, sloppy wet floors and bathrooms that are falling apart…cool. honestly only came here to be out with my girls but i will never come back to this misogynistic dump.

Fun spot for a late night out. The only thing is the drink prices are quite expensive. They ran out of beer the night I went and only had mixed drinks but it was Ossfest so all good. Will def come back but can’t come back too often if I don’t wanna go broke

Love Thursday's Toronto House Community parties there! Woohoo! Not sure about food offerings.. think it's only drinks at night.
