Google
Saturday night live music with Aubree Anna is out of this world! She was able to take request and perform the complete spectrum of music, she is very talented. All of the drinks seem to be spot on. I suggest trying the Apple Martini.

Joyous

Google
The drinks were the star. Highly recommend quoth the raven or aviation. Very well balanced between the main spirit and subsequent flavors. The food was delicious too. Cozy interior with jazzy pianist and saxophonist. Sometimes the music was too loud, some times the room felt too silent so that's the only thing I'll say about ambience. Our bartender Michael was kind and very helpful. Our valet person Rafael was also kind and did a great job. Overall a great experience, highly recommend the drinks, will be back.

Google
Great hotel bar, dark and cozy. Friendly engaging staff, generous drinks, and better than expected Saturday night entertainment. It's worth a visit even if not staying at the hotel.

Sean Wilson

Google
I love this place! Great live piano performances in a beautiful, dimly-lit bar/lounge. The bartenders are awesome, and the food and cocktails are amazing.

Elise Larson

Google
Parking is Valet only and they no longer validate it at the bar. It's 10 dollars. Food was good and the atmosphere was beautiful! The tables were candlelit. I felt a little underdressed. I was surprised that the waitress didn't card me though when I ordered wine because I had only turned 21 a few months earlier. The music was excellent, but stopped earlier than I expected.

Google
This place was located inside the Warwick Hotel in Dallas and was FABULOUS. The atmosphere was wonderful, adult, classy and warm. The waitress was attentive and the food choices and drinks were unexpectedly top notch. I had the club sandwich 🥪 and my cohorts had the sliders. It was HARD to figure out what to purchase because of so many options. I am glad we went to this facility.

Google
Very small place and quaint place. They do not always have jazz music. Inside a hotel, so as the night progresses it can become overrun with hotel guests and get packed. Good drinks and service is as good as can be expected.

Sandra Garcia

Google
Went on a Saturday night attracted by the live music, to find a singer that starts 30 minutes late because she needs to chitchat with everyone before the show, with an average voice that needs to be covered by very LOUD background sound music. Not sure why the manager doesn’t address the volume of the sound, this is mostly a 50+ years old bar/restaurant on an upscale area.

Yelp
Sing this in ya Tina Turner voice * Rollin, Rollin, Rollin into The Library Bar* lol. This place is a total music lover's paradise. Live music every night with amazing talents. I wasn't very hungry but I decided to try the crab cake & it was deliciously prepared. The chef was also kind enough to honor my request to make it a sandwich *shush & stop judging me*. Lol. The entire bar staff is phenomenal and friendly. They welcomed my crazy self with open arms. This is definitely a locals hang out & like a true social butterfly that I am, I made sure to make a few connections since I'm new to the city. I love the feel of the place. Very upscale yet not pretentious. This lounge is #BarbieApproved

Yelp
Flew into Dallas to meet my dream date. Like all the others, all in different cities it was to be a great success. The food took a long time to arrive but the singer and pianist were terrific (but with no room to dance). Was the date as successful as the previous three? Only time will tell.

Yelp
Excellent service and a cozy atmosphere. I have enjoyed two thanksgiving buffets. And easter buffet (yesterday) and a few happy hours/appies here. The food is outstanding and the Chef frequently walks the room to make sure that all guests are happy and satisfied. The Easter buffet was out of control delish - my favs (so many to choose from!)...the crab claws with house made roulade, the perfectly cooked prime rib with their 26-hour au jus, truffle mac and cheese, grilled asparagus, key lime pie, caviar deviled eggs, carrot cake...absolutely stunning! I had to take a nap after all of the deliciousness...

Yelp
Came here to catch up with a few buddies thinking there was a happy hour. There is no happy hour anymore here. However, despite that i would come here again. They have great drinks and provide a nice relaxing ambiance for any type of event whether an outing with friends, date etc. the old fashioned is highly recommended and they take their time with it. I didn't order food but they do offer bar nuts to munch on while you enjoy your cocktails.

Yelp
One of Dallas' Classic Grand Bars for quality cocktails. Had a surprise birthday party planned. We were married 37 years ago at the Methodist Church and walked across the street for a reception at the Melrose. Wedding and Birthday are 10 days apart. Great place to celebrate both. Had Brunch in the Landmark, then on to the Library Bar. Food was outstanding, the Chef baked an Italian Creme Cake with Gran Marnier filling, service is what you'd expect. Been there during the day, evening, Happy Hour... never disappointed. Connie and Matre d' Scott took care of us.

Yelp
Came by on a Saturday night. We've been wanting to try this place for a while. We came in and it was very busy and lively fun vibes! The only reason for an extra star. We waited at the bar for a drink, despite it being busy everyone around the bar had already gotten there drinks and were just enjoying the live music. We grabbed a cocktail menu and a double checked that they were serving off of it with a server. We order our drinks, a side car and rum runner. The side car was made in front of us liquor splashed all down the side and given to us without even stirring and sticky. The run runner was not a rum runner. It had vodka in it instead of rum and was completely the wrong color despite me having pointed to the drink we wanted on the menu to verify since it was loud. For $20 a cocktail I would expect a little more care to be put in to the orders
google avatar

Matthew D.

Yelp
ordered a drink (paper plane) they didn't have the stuff to make it , no biggie, I ordered a drink off their menu (sidecar - said made with RemyVSOP, Lime, agave, Cointreau, Pama. I legit watched him grab regular ole Henney even though the remy was a shelf above... Bummed they still charged me 20 for somehh th Ing that was made with cheaper stuff and not what was on the menu. However it still tasted good

Yelp
Dark bar inside of a hotel. Live music. Masculine old world vibes. Stiff drinks and swanky vibes. Love

Yelp
I had fun here and we shut the place down, but that's because I was with close family friends that it's almost impossible to have a bad time with. I'm finally old. This place was too freakin loud. The live music was great (actually a mix of live with background music), but we were there to visit with each other, not just watch and listen to the music. Fortunately we were tipsy so I think that took the edge off the throbbing from my bleeding ears. I LOVE music and I love rock shows, but this is a bar and I was there to talk and listen to close friends. Service wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. Drinks took quite a while to come out, which always sucks, and one water - one - arrived, once, late, after the table ordered multiple waters. That didn't help with today's hangover. Interior is nice with wood paneling and dim intimate lighting (although the wall of sound did not provide an intimate atmosphere). The place was hopping when we got there after a wedding reception (maybe 11:30?), so if you don't mind the cons, it's definitely a happening spot that serves quality alcohol. The bar is inside the Warwick Melrose hotel, which is pretty nice, so it's no surprise that it's kinda pricey. Typical for a spendy Dallas bar, but value is king and I would rather spend my money somewhere else.
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
The ambiance here is pretty special, especially if you go on a night that there is live music. If you love an authentic 20's vibe, The Library is for you!
google avatar

Foo B.

Yelp
If you are looking for an upscale bar with live music (Fri/Sat) and classic decorum, this is worth a visit. Age range is older, a good thing if you are 40+ and don't want to deal with obnoxious young drinkers (I prefer obnoxious older drinkers). Two of Dallas' best bartenders - Melissa and Moe will take great care of you, especially if you can get a spot at the bar.
google avatar

Jenny D.

Yelp
This lounge is located inside the almost 100 year old Warwick hotel. With a lot of Southern charm and a mid century aesthetic, it's definitely a place to grab a drink and check out if you are in the area. The night I went they had a great singer there with an amazing voice, Aubreeanna. The live entertainment and dancing really tied the whole thing together.
google avatar

Hyun P.

Yelp
My review is for the bar only. I went on a Saturday evening to see the live performance, the singer was good. It was definitely an older crowd here. Limited seatings. Cocktails were more expensive about $17/. I just prefer a more lively younger crowd.
google avatar

Tommy S.

Yelp
Great service, drinks were great and so was the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend The Library.

Yelp
The Library is the perfect place for a drink in swarthy, classic surroundings. Every time I've visited, there has been a piano player setting the tone for a romantic evening, or as I do, drinks with my girls while feelin' fancy! The drinks are wonderful, the setting is best, and the food is medium good. This last visit, I ordered a caesar salad, which was ok. The little cheese crisp on the side was stale, so it tells me not a lot of people are likely eating here. My friends both ordered a different type of salad, and some of the greens came out soggy & gross (as they do when they've gone off). So, my 4 stars is because it's the best, minus the food.

Meh B.

Yelp
This is a grown & sexy gem! Live music on Friday & Saturday. Get there around 8:30pm for seating. The charcuterie board was not worth the price. Flatbread was You can buy by the bottle or per cocktail. Drinks were worthy. Although be ready because those Old Fashioned has smoke around rim. It gets busy so hopefully your server is attentive!

Kathy S.

Yelp
Food was very good, atmosphere is very elegant, great selection of drinks, but service was slow even when not that busy, and really: could they please spend a few buck to replace the horrible microphones/audio on the piano?!? The music was loud, distorted, and made a classy place not so.

Yelp
I took a date here last night and I went on a whim. To my surprise and ultimate success, we had one of the top 10 meals of our lives (besides mom's homemade cooking of course). I am serious though, I will definitely remember this dish and anytime I come to Dallas or have a suggestion to give to someone when they go, The Library will be that place. We had the Chefs Charcuterie board and the shrimp pasta, sub shrimp for grilled chicken. The flavor of the pasta was as if it was married to the noodles and chicken. They were perfect together and beautiful. The board was a great adventure of flavors. I just wish there were a few more crackers. The wine pairings were refreshing and understated. I had the Italian Prosecco and my date had the German Riesling. A wonderful meal with drinks that went perfectly well for our tastes. I cannot express how amazing this meal was to share and experience. Hats off to the chef! I don't even want to post a picture of my meal. I just want to go back one day and taste it all over again. Thank you Warwick and The Library.

Yelp
I am rating this as a hotel bar. I am well aware that there are better bars in Dallas. But for a hotel bar, this one is a gem. The hotel itself is a beautiful, historic building. The atmosphere in the bar is dark, lots of wood, bookshelves all around. Prices are kind of high, but I have had nothing but wonderful service and good cocktails. It was the place I had my first old fashioned maybe a decade ago. I still try to hit them up when I am in the area.
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
There is NO CIGAR SMOKING at this establishment. Lovely bar though. Piano player is bad ass.
google avatar

Kent F.

Yelp
Great location, awesome ambiance and even more stellar bartenders! Wife and I had a great time socializing with the staff, while enjoying perfectly made drinks! Look forward to the next visit!

Shirley P.

Yelp
Such a fun time! Great atmosphere for a girls night out. Very fun time for us! Would recommend.
google avatar

Cheryl B.

Yelp
Popped in for a quick bite to eat and a drink at lunchtime. James was incredibly friendly. Will be back to hear some music.
google avatar

Ellen P.

Yelp
This was honestly the WORST service i have EVER received at a bar, a hotel bar especially. First, it was so overcrowded and over capacity there is no choice but to stand. Servers will yell at you and tell you to get out of their way. Once you move, another server will yell at you again for getting in their way. Drinks were also disgusting for the price paid. Wait staff clearly has poor training. Would never return to this location and would not recommend. There was also definitely a lot of seedy/sketchy activity going on and so i would not consider it a safe atmosphere. Save your time and money.
google avatar

Greg L.

Yelp
Beautiful bar. Very nice cocktail and drink menu. Just way overpriced in my opinion for what it is. My old fashioned was beautiful. Big rock. But I can get the same anywhere else in Dallas for about $5 less. Parking can be difficult too. Great place of you're walking or happen to be staying there.
google avatar

Rick B.

Yelp
Best hotel bar I've seen. Period. Good food; simple bar food selection - but prepared and served as if you were dining in an upscale restaurant. Good drinks from a well-stocked bar; from a wide array of intelligent House Cocktails - to whatever personal drink you need. Attire ranges from dressy casual to dressy - as in drinks before a black-tie affair. Live music (GREAT LIVE MUSIC) 6 nights a week! How many hotel bars have good live music 6 nights a week? This bar is legit; try it out even if you aren't staying at the Warwick-Melrose (but def stay here)!

Barbara M.

Yelp
We went on a Wednesday night to have a drink and catch up. The staff, food, and atmosphere were incredible. We went primarily for the live music, but the piano blasted us off our bar stools. The piano was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk.
google avatar

Manju M.

Yelp
This was a nice little restaurant with live music the night my friend took me out for a birthday dinner. The service was great, food and drinks were good, atmosphere was nice, parking was $10 valet only.

Emily N.

Yelp
Good ambiance, below average a/c in the lobby and bathroom so if you that matters to you maybe don't come
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Very cool atmosphere. Upscale fancy lounge. Nice hotel bar. Nice selection of craft cocktails, bartender was very nice. However its a little more boring, older-person environment. Not really for me. And you have to pay $10 for valet even when the parking lot is completely empty

Yelp
A classy mahogany panelled live jazz bar in the beautiful Warwick Melrose. Located in the vibrant and active Oak Lawn area. Comfortable leather chairs dot their venue with soft mood lighting that lends to a relaxing and inviting vibe. Most guests are over 40, which is nice not being ran over by blaring cell phone ring tones, loud talking, or down right yelling in some instances by 20 something kids. Bless their hearts. Tonight, I spluged on a bubbly Kir Royale, with lite Chambord. My tummy was rumbling for miles to come. So I really wanted to savor the Library's very delicious Georgia Bay Scallops, but they were out of them. Bummer. Ok. Second best is their very flavorful crab cakes served with a spicy remoulade. And because I was truly hangry, my late night dinner included their flavorful, blackened shrimp tacos. Oh yeah!! I opted for a side salad instead of fries for the tacos. And loved every bit of scrumminess!! Music is every night except Sunday, with one variant, of the 2nd Sunday of the month there is an artist playing as well. There is no cover/drink minimum. Which is awesome. Park on the street or valet, the choice is yours. Bring your parents, aunties & uncles to relax and get pampered. Lastly, but not leastly are the fabulous staff: MO, the bartender extraordinaire. Amy, the friendliest cocktail server. They make hanging out here just delightful.

Yelp
Hubby & I like this place for after dinner drinks. The bar is well stocked with top shelf booze. The staff is very knowledgeable about the different liquors/cocktails they serve & this last time we were there, our waitress turned us on to the Botanist gin which we liked very much. The piano guy is usually there playing some tunes, "play it again Sam" is usually our only request... It's a very romantic setting, so much so that one couple was making out in the corner while we were there. The group at the bar was completely smashed, apparently staying in the hotel, hope they were! One lady got up to go back to her room, walked right into my chair & almost fell down. Caught herself, sat down in a chair on my left & completely passed out cold. The piano guy just kept on playing as another lady from the bar went & sat on his lap. "Play it again Sam" we asked LOLOLOLOLOL And he stared playing twinkle, twinkle, little star, motioning to the bar tenders the lady that just passed out... Then, the bartenders came from behind the bar & stood the lady up that was passed out & got some people to walk her, I assume, to her room. It was all very polite, but Holy CRAP! LOLOLOLOL It's always like this at "The Library" LOLOLOLOLOL Good times. Recommend.

Yelp
Live music brings in the crowds and it turns into a club scene. Very fun atmosphere, the rest of the time it's a laid back place to chill and watch TV (1) and drink fancy soda water
google avatar

Donna H.

Yelp
I keep returning on weekends. I love, love, love the singing artists and I mean artists! I go early for dinner to grab a seat. The shrimp pasta is crazy good. Drinks are pricy but they know how to make an adult beverage! I always meet fun people. Singers start at 9. Get there by 8.
google avatar

Brad N.

Yelp
This is a classy, quiet, well appointed hotel bar, in a hotel that I'd never heard of. It's great for conversation, but not so good for being cozy, as the chairs are big and comfy, and there didn't seem to be much in the way of couples' seating. Our drinks were well done, from a menu that suggest this place is serious about its cocktails. Definitely try this place if you want to drink at a classy joint that will give you room and let you speak at reasonable volumes. Love it!

Yelp
We stopped by The Library last night (Tuesday) for Happy Hour with a few friends. Immediately, I felt comfortable and relaxed. The atmosphere feels like an old school lounge, fully furtnished with leather wingback chairs, and old books organized in the book shelf. At 7pm, when Happy Hour is finished, they have live music. It is an eclectic crowd. When we arrived at 5:30, it felt as if we were the youngest people there. Then, other starting filling the space closer to 7pm. It is a 50/50 split of hotel guests and outside folk wandering in for the legit Happy Hour. Happy Hour is Sunday thru Thursday from 4pm until 7pm. Everything on the bar menu is 50% off and you better be careful, because it adds up so quick. I ordered quite a few Old Fashioned's, normally priced at $16. They were potent and tasty. Our group munched on a variety of appetizers and entrees. I ordered the Cesar salad and the margherita flatbread. The portion sizes blew me away. My Cesar salad filled me up so much that I was only able to eat two slices of my flatbread. At the end of the evening, after six drinks, two appetizers, and two entrees (split between Hubby and I), the bill came to a whopping $80. Not bad when you add everything up. But the original bill would have been $160. We had a great time with good friends in a new and eclectic spot. I am already planning my next night out ;)

Yelp
Super quaint, classy place to grab a drink or quick bite and have an intimate conversation. Live music was present but wasn't overwhelmingly loud, which is nice. There's no food discounts on happy hour and the food prices are pretty typical for a hotel restaurant/bar, but the crab cakes were full of meat and good, as well as the lobster mac and cheese. I'd definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
When we stayed at the Melrose this place had just re-opened. SARSCOV2 comeback kinda re-opening. It's absolutely beautiful. It has so much character and charm. There's seating at the bar and tables throughout with nice comfy chairs. There's also a piano. Unfortunately there was no live music, but they were playing some awesome jazz on the speakers! Been a long time since I've been in a jazz bar. This was a great experience. The bartender, Kelly, was a jewel and made great drinks. Jameson on the rocks with a splash of water is gonna cost you $11. Unfortunately there was no happy hour pricing. If you want supper here is your option in the hotel. You can also call for room service. We were starving so we pigged out and I drank like I had just ran a marathon through the Sahara Desert. We started off with Maryland style crab cakes. These were meaty and tasty, but a bit on the dry side. A good option though. Next we got the truffle lobster and crab mac-n-cheese. This dish was big on taste, but lacking on protein. It could've used more lobster and crab and a little spice would really set it off. Lastly we got the shrimp tacos. These again were very tasty and may favorite for the evening. My only complaint was with the tortillas. They were a bit tough. A beautiful and eloquent room with lots of charm and positive energy. Definitely worth a visit. I would eat and drink here again. Please note that it is not a jazz bar. Bartender says music changes pretty much daily. Personally, I think the jazz is the way to go here.

Yelp
Attempted to contact this place multiple times on Wednesday April 13, 2022 and none of their phone numbers worked. If you are running a hotel and a restaurant I would think you would want to have a functioning telephone system. To me this is pure incompetence.
google avatar

Yelp
I've lived in Dallas since 2009, and I've had consistently amazing service here. The staff are always accommodating and friendly, the drinks are some of the best you'll have on "the strip," and the food is spectacular. (I'm assuming the adjacent "Landmark Restaurant" kitchen is responsible for the food-- which is strange, considering I've never seen a single soul dining there.) The only reason they don't get 5 stars is that the place can get a little difficult to find good service on nights when there is an entertainer singing, and on usually busy Friday and Saturday nights. This, unfortunately, is the double-edged sword of success. Either way... you must visit this establishment if you live in the Dallas area. You must.
google avatar

Jorge O.

Yelp
Relaxed & upscale atmosphere is how I would best describe the library. We came with some friends before their concert to enjoy some conversation over drinks. Their happy hour prices are great if you are looking for some quality drinks at more reasonable prices
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
Poor service. Half of food didn't come. I am here waiting for ticket 40 min after finishing food and drinks. Water please. Local here trying to support my local biz. I am thinking the attitude is that they don't care if you return because you are visiting.
google avatar

Bret B.

Yelp
Very relaxed lounge with live jazz, R&B piano lounge music seven nights. Great service, cocktails and good wine list. Great hotel bar at the Warwick. Right on Dallas
google avatar

Lauren A.

Yelp
The library was a cool experience. I absolutely love to read so it was nice visiting a place called The Library. The ambiance was a very chill and relaxing vibe. The wait staff was not bad but I wouldn't call them friendly either. It was basic. The drinks were good. I believed I ordered the Walk down Melrose. It was quite tasty. Definitely a cute date night place. You can have a drink here before going to dinner or going out. You could also meet your guy/gal or friends there for happy hour. The cocktails are 50% off I would come here again.
google avatar

Vinita R.

Yelp
So quaint and cute! I love the atmosphere and it is truly a hidden gem in Ft. Worth. My husband and I decided to take a little vacation not far from home and stumbled this little spot. You must know the code word to go into the hidden area downstairs. It's fun, it's cute and it's worth it!

Yelp
I am quite sure I've found my favorite after work, before dinner or even better, a destination spot for wine tasting and cocktails sipping. Came here recently for a friend's birthday event and this was the first stop before the main dinner at the Landmark Restaurant. Please see my review on that to follow. What I love about this place is the dark lighting, comfortable leather seating and of course, the majestic bar with its large alcohol bottles and soothing backlighting. The atmospherics felt cozy, warm and may I add, a very sexy vibe. A place where you can really lounge for hours sipping on your favorite elixirs as one decompress after a rough day or as an introduction before a night out in the big city. Service here was quick, drink orders were executed swiftly and the same can be said about getting refills. Our bartender was knowledgeable when asked about wine varietals and was equally complimentary. The menu is reasonable offering an array of choices from champagne, wine to specialty handcrafted cocktails. Highly recommend this place! Decor: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Value: 3/5 Pricing: $9-$20 Drinks ordered: Tito's Vodka & Cranberry with a Twist, Malbec Wine.
google avatar

Lily M.

Yelp
This is a great spot to stop for a drink during HH. After walking through the Warwick's gorgeous hotel lobby, you can enter into The Library and see the classy decor and old world feel. Our waitress was nice, but it took her a very long time to bring out our drinks. Speaking of drinks, their wine offerings are splendid. The vanilla tasting Chardonnay that I had went a long way and I was so pleased that I ordered a second glass to continue on my chat with my friend that I met there. If you're looking for an upscale spot for drinks and occasional love music, this is the place to come. It's classy, the menu is appealing, and the scene is chic.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're a local or visiting Dallas, and are looking for the perfect place to mingle with the incredible diversity that's makes Dallas amazing, this is your place. Live music that will keep you moving, cocktails that are absolutely yummy, and ambience that makes you want to stay for hours. If Alex is your bartender you'll definitely be glad you read my review, because he's amazing. Who could ask for more? My Miami spots have some competition. If you see me at the bar, absolutely say hello, I love that!
google avatar

Lesle B.

Yelp
Atmosphere is unique and refreshing. One of my fav spots for atmosphere by far. The service is excellent! The drinks were really good. The food is ok. I wasn't a fan of peas in the truffle Mac and cheese but I just don't like peas. So that's obviously a personal preference. Shrimp tacos were good. Grab food then come here for the atmosphere and drinks. Great place

Yelp
Seeming transplanted straight from Manhattan's best, The Library is definitely the coolest bar i've ever been to in Dallas. I wouldn't even really call it a bar...more of a not-so-well-hidden speakeasy that can pack a serious crowd on the right night. With piano driven live music and beyond comfortable seats, The Library's relaxing (book filled, yes this likely used to be a literal library) and soft lit atmosphere is a nice way to relax after a face-stuffing tex-mex dinner that immediately followed my flight into DFW. Drink menu? Yup. Pages upon pages of interesting drinks handcrafted by guys in suits with red ties, never short of a recommendation or some friendly conversation. I had the espresso martini, and for $15...I would say it was well worth it. Other beverages included the apple pie martini and a pair of the BEST irish coffees i've ever tasted. Given it was just shy of 1am, I was not feeling dessert but the menu did include some seriously delicious sounding options. Live music you kinda (and might definitely) want to sing along to, a menu with options to satisfy any craving, and a classy atmosphere that makes you want to wear a tux, bite on a pipe and talk about government, taxes, and the best smelling wood.
