We were here on vacation for a week, but didn’t discover this until our last day. My husband and I both said we would’ve eaten this every single day! No matter what you order, you cannot go wrong. Juiciest chicken and the most delicious waffles EVER!!

Google
I was expecting a soft yet crunchy grilled waffle. Instead it was rewarmed and hard. Although I could taste the potential in the batter, I was disappointed that the waffle was not freshly made and you could tell with every bite. I ordered a plain classic waffle and a sprinkled topping one, both were about the same and not soft.

Google
The food is delicious! The hot chicken and waffles is what dreams are made of- just very brief dreams because the serving size is tiny for the $12 I paid. The waffle was sweet, which was a delicious contrast to the hot chicken. My only issue is that my waffle and the banchurro my partner ordered (equally delicious and equally tiny) were smaller than the size of my hand. Luckily I wasn’t hungry that morning otherwise I would have had to go back for seconds. Just a heads up for those running on an empty stomach…or wallet.

Tristan was SO great to work with! I had Liege do a catering event for my husband's birthday party and Tristan was kind enough to make the waffles on theme (green for Shrek!) and deliver them just in time for the party. Tristan also added in a sweet birthday card. Thank you so much!!!

Google
The Liege Waffle Co. - A Sweet and Savory Treat in Nashville! During my visit to the Assembly Foodhall on Broadway in Nashville, I tried The Liege Waffle Co. and was impressed by their unique offerings. Especially as it was the only place where no visible line was. But that is not showing the quality of the food - just the availability of a virtual waiting line: You get a text when your food is ready. I decided to try the reasonable priced Northshore - a Hawaiian-inspired pork and waffle with pineapple salsa. The waffle itself was delicious - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. However, the spicing of the pork and salsa was slightly bland. With more bold flavors, this dish could easily be elevated to a five-star rating. Overall, I would recommend The Liege Waffle Co. to anyone looking for a sweet or savory treat in Nashville. It's a great spot with a lot of potential, and I look forward to trying more of their offerings in the future.

Google
We got the hot chicken wafflenini and it was good but not great. I like the concept so I think I’d try it again and order something else, I just didn’t find the hot chicken as flavorful as other hot chicken we had in Nashville.

Located inside the Assembly Food Hall. Got the North Shore, which is kalua pork over waffle, for $12. On the more expensive end since it only comes with one waffle, but taste was good - savory, sweet, hot, cold all in one bite.

Google
The food was very tasty, and unique, but similar to other reviews, I’d agree that it’s a bit expensive for how much food you get. That being said, you won’t be disappointed with the quality or flavor.

Yelp
I wish they had one near me in DC! I got the banana churro one. It was a warm waffle with a nice crunch (but still soft) that has cinnamon sugar, bananas, whipped cream, and dulce de leche (I think)... Really good! Would get again. Service was nice! The vibe in the Assembly Hall is enjoyable especially because of the live music... Just hard to find a seat at times.

Yelp
OBSESSED with these waffles!!! The Straw-Nella is the perfect sweet treat. They're located inside of the food hall with plenty of seating and there's shopping in the same plaza with bars nearby. It makes the perfect Saturday/Sunday brunch stop before activities

Yelp
Time: Friday at 8:00pm Meals: -Dulce de leches waffle -Hot tea Pros: -Fresh ingredients made in front of you. -Quick service. -Friendly staff -Very tasty. The waffle was not overly crunchy or too soft. -Toppings were abundant without being too much. -Delicious caramel sauce! -Decently priced waffles. $8 for the waffle and $3 for tea. Cons: -Can be really busy depending on time and day. -Downtown Nashville will require being around drunks. -Inside Assembly Food Hall so lots of people at times. -Might not have lots of seating depending on the time.

Yelp
This is not something I would typically buy, but we had a late night concert at the Ryman and I needed hot tea and a snack. The waffle was surprisingly delicious. It had caramel and cinnamon, with bananas and whipped cream. The waffle was soft and chewy, perfect for sharing without feeling overly heavy or too large for one. I could never finish one myself and would not get this often, but if I'm wanting something sweet this is it! The staff were super friendly and made the whole experience different from the usual in the shops. Seating is open seating wherever you can find. It can get busy on concert days and weekends.

Yelp
Holy moly!!! We got a plain waffle and. Strawberry with Nutella waffle and both were fabulous. You really can just do plain. It melts in your house. How is this even possible?!? Quick service a little pricey but great atmosphere for an assembly hall.

Yelp
Overall 4/5: Yummy food, very awkward service. Food 5/5: My boyfriend and i shared a strawnella waffle which was not too sweet and the perfect amount of crispy for a dessert waffle. The toppings were ample for the price! Service 4/5: It was okay, did take quite awhile. And interacting with the person at the counter was weird. They were awkward and we had to initiate conversation and guide it the entire time. They were hardly acknowledging us while we ordered, so we just weren't sure if they were hearing us. Even though they were standing right in front of us at the order screen. Thank you, The Leige.

Yelp
The best food I've had in Nashville thus far. I kid you not. Get the hot chicken waffle sandwich. It blew my mind. The waffle is so buttery and sweet. A little bit of Alice and syrup to contrast with the hot chicken underneath. Wasn't super hot but it was tasty and flavorful. Best meal yet! They got it to me super fast

Yelp
I was really pleased with the banchurro leche! Delicious and very satisfying to my sweet tooth craving! I would recommend this if you like churros for sure! Definitely is a must try in Nashville!

Yelp
Don't waste your money. The s'mores waffle was not good at all. Doesn't come out hot, nothing you can't make at home. We actually took a few bites and tossed it.

Monika H.

Yelp
The waffles had just the right amount of sweetness in the batter. We tried fresh fruit with whip cream. They were delicious.

Yelp
A bit out of the way from the general path most people walk around the food hall, I ran into The Liege Waffle. There wasn't anyone in line so I expected the wait to be pretty short after ordering. After about 15 minutes of waiting we went back to the counter and asked where the food was. They said it was taking a while for the chicken but we told them that the waffle we ordered didn't have chicken, so it turns out they had actually lost our order. I can imagine this happening on a busy day, but the day we were there was quite empty that I don't understand how they could lose it. I think one of the workers was pretty new because he didn't know how to make the banchurro waffle and needed to get help from someone else.

Yelp
I went up to the counter to get a Sprite (nothing more) as somebody in my group felt nauseous. I grabbed the Sprite myself and went to pay for it and was not even greeted before the kid behind the register says 'So no tip? Or?'. HE DIDN'T EVEN GET ME THE SPRITE, I GRABBED IT MYSELF! When I told him no, I wasn't tipping him for not even greeting me, he said 'Wow. It's common courtesy.' A tip is not mandatory, it is a reward for good service, which I did not receive Lol I've never been so taken back 0/10 would recommend

Yelp
The chicken and waffles was good. It was hearty and hot. Good flavor, but the breading on the original chicken wasn't my favorite. Overall, pretty good.

Yelp
This place is creative as hell and has made this Foodie get excited. Try the Monte Cristo... it's a must! The owner is a transplant from Chicago named Tristan. He goes the extra mile in formulation and presentation.

Yelp
Great waffles with all sorts of toppings that you can add or you can choose one of their chef suggested pairs, from sweet to savory. For those of you not familiar with Liege Waffles, one of the things that sets them apart from other waffles are the sugar pearls that baked into them. This way you don't need lots of syrup or honey, making it much easier to eat them "on the go." The only real complaint I had was the fact that there was only 1 person working at 10:30am and it took a while for him to complete each waffle as everything (such as slicing bananas and strawberries) is done to order. This meant that by the time they were all complete, the first waffle wasn't very warm. It would have been nicer if they were warmer, but still very tasty.

Yelp
What a great concept. We ate chicken and waffles and a Monte Cristo waffle sandwich panini style. It was awesome. Can't believe this was a food court. Tristan the owner hands on kind of guy. Came out to talk to us to see if we we're enjoying and had a great conversation. Highly recommend for a taste of a Southern eatery.

Yelp
Attended a yelp event at the NIMAAM. They were a vendor, it was a very memorable sample. The batter used seemed like cake donut batter almost. The syrup and powdered sugar were just icing on the cake.

Melissa P.

Yelp
Chicken was really good crispy not greasy or dry. Just took a long time. Place seems short staffed.
google avatar

Anna W.

Yelp
Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Got the monte cristo which is usually a safe choice at most places, but here it was not. For $11 at a place that is named for waffles, you would think that the waffle would be crispy and soft and fluffy rather than rock hard and dry. I didn't even finish it and ended up getting food somewhere else. Rip off and waste of money.

Yelp
Very rude staff. Only reason I gave 2 is because the waffle with strawberries was decent. Cake like waffle. Charging a dollar for syrup I thought was kind of ridiculous but it is what it is. When I got my food they forgot to give me utensils, no big deal. I went back to ask for some the guy responded with that doesn't sound like us and I'm busy. WOW. Won't return there and recommend no one spend money there. I regret eating from there.

Yelp
If your are a native... don't waste your time... not a true southern waffle. BYOB(Bring Your Own Butter).. they don't have any. Looks pretty but taste like a cookie. Not very savory.
