My son and daughter in law got married at the lighthouse this past weekend. It was spectacular!! The food, the room, the view and most importantly every single person from the Lighthouse especially Marlon. Thank you so much!!!!

I absolutely ADORE photographing weddings at the Lighthouse. The waterfront view is so gorgeous, especially during sunset. The venue is just as stunning at night, too. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and I always feel welcome there. Plus, there's ample parking, which is always a huge plus. This place is so photogenic, and I cannot recommend it higher to anyone looking for a gorgeous, iconic NYC location to get married. We at Susan Stripling Photography LOVE it here!

The Lighthouse is a breathtaking wedding venue. The space is beautiful, the views are incredible, and the food was genuinely great and better than expected for a large-scale event. However, the dinner service was surprisingly poor. The staff seemed visibly flustered and untrained. Several guests at our table didn't receive all parts of their plated dinner, and the overall execution lacked the polished etiquette one expects from such an upscale spot. It was a noticeable flaw in an otherwise perfect setting. They need to invest in better training and organization for their serving staff.

I was the Emcee for the 2024 Children’s Village Circle of Friends Gala. This place is beautiful and right in the Hudson. Two separate green rooms for VIPs, room for 400+ guests, amazing food, views, service, valet parking etc. Highly recommend for weddings, parties, galas, corporate events, etc!

This post is overdue! Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary and it just feels like yesterday. This is the most beautiful , romantic, classic venue. Before i choose The lighthouse, I consulted 50 plus venues but nothing clicked. The entire team was super helpful and they made me feel special knowing how stressed I was as it was last minute & we did not have wedding planner. The food was delicious! Views are breath taking overlooking Hudson. Big Kudos to the staff, the service was awesome and beyond my expectations. I felt like a Queen on my special day & this wouldn't have been possible without the most caring staff that made everything so smooth & special.

Hosted my daughter's wedding at The Lighthouse on Friday night. I have received literally dozens of emails, texts and calls from our guests all saying that the venue was spectacular, the food was outstanding, the service was top notch, and of course - the sunset view was fabulous. Thank you to the entire staff of The Lighthouse to making our event a great success. Special shout-out to our event manager, Tanya Shevloff-Roth, for an unbelievable job. Tanya kept everything running smoothly, organized a quick rehearsal, and ensured we had a beautiful ceremony. Highly recommend The Lighthouse for weddings and other events.

Place the best venue for events. Great space, wonderful staff.

The Lighthouse is located at Pier 61 in Chelsea, New York City. My company had their yearly holiday party here at The Lighthouse. It's a beautiful venue, overlooking the Hudson River. It's quite a large space. There is a interior section with hardwood floors and beautiful light fixtures, as well as an outside section. The outdoor section has easy access to the waterfront. The interior has floor to ceiling windows. There are two private suites with restrooms, safety boxes and vanities as well! The venue hosted the party from 4:30 to 8:00. It was so much fun! It was slightly chilly out for an October evening! I only stayed in the outside section while it was sunny out! Inside, there was lots of music and food was catered as well! There were two different carving stations and a section for desserts! The lighthouse was an amazing venue!

I came here for a wedding. The biggest pro is the view is genuinely very pretty. It's also in a solid venue option if you need to be in Manhattan. Beyond that, I wasn't impressed. The food was mediocre, and the staff had no idea what was and wasn't vegetarian. They also mixed up all the meals at our table. We also at one point bit into passed appetizers that were so hot, steam came pouring out of them, burning out mouths. If you want a "glamorous" wedding, no matter how beautifully you decorate this venue, it still looks like a warehouse on the inside. The first half of the aisle for the wedding was also next to a hideous white curtain (I may not be explaining it well, but trust me that it was ugly). I feel like you could lean into this and have a cool, austere, modern aesthetic, but if you want a more traditional "pretty" wedding, it's probably not here. I didn't have a horrible time, and it was great to celebrate the couple, but unless you really need to be married in Manhattan, I wouldn't pick this spot.

We had our wedding at the Lighthouse in May, and the venue and staff far exceeded our expectations. Marlon, our venue coordinator, was unbelievable to work with and was on top of every single detail beforehand and on the day of, including making sure we had a nice little feast of cocktail hour ready for us in our room right after the ceremony. He worked with us and our other vendors to make sure we achieved our vision and was always extremely responsive. The wedding itself was everything we could've hoped for, in large part due to how organized and well-run the Lighthouse is and how great Marlon was for us. From making sure flip flops & hats were brought out at the right time to packaging up some of our leftover items for us when we were leaving, he and the staff went above and beyond and we can't thank them enough! Best night ever!

Buyer beware. Maybe youll have a beautiful wedding, but your stuff can get stolen out of the bridal suites. Just a warning. And The Lighthouse will not care.

Was at a wedding I can't honestly comment. However the steak was overcooked and no one was available to change it out. I don't think that I will be returning because of the staff.

What a an AMAZING wedding night! Tanya, Evelyn & Madeline were all WONDERFUL!! tanya & Evelyn were on top of EVERYTHING!! So impressive, I can't say enough great things about the team, the venue, and all the servers were just AMAZING!! Thank you to all of you!! You're all the BEST!! Unfortunately the dj's that I HIRED were NOT good, which were Alex & Amir persian style music events..which were given a playlist and NEVER PLAYED!!! It sounded like the SAME song/ music all night!! So boring!! Worst DJ's EVER! Thank you again to ALL of you at the lighthouse, you were absolutely WONDERFUL!!!!

I've been to a few events at the Lighthouse and have always enjoyed it. While not a huge space, it's well laid out, elegant and sports an extremely excellent view of the Hudson River and Jersey on the other side. If you're looking to do an event here, it seems to be rather seamless though most certainly pricey. I'd recommend using it in the Spring/Summer months to get the most out of their outdoor - and riverfront - patio. I've heard excellent things about their catering service, though I can't speak to that since I've only been here for food events that have involved outside chefs. I can imagine a wonderful wedding reception here, so definitely one to look into...

I had my wedding here on Saturday. It was the most amazing night of my life. The staff, food, attention to detail, EVERYTHING- flawless. I am forever thankful to everyone who was a part of this weekend. Extra shout out to Madeline and Greg!

Went to a wedding reception here on Saturday and was very impressed by the space, service and food (although, I am not sure who did the catering). This couple is very dear to me and the epitome of the perfect Manhattan power couple. Why would their choice of venue be any less? Everything was perfect from the valet parking service to the doorman and coatcheck. There was a long hallway leading to the cocktail area which was the perfect gallery for video images of the couple's actual wedding ceremony (out of country). There were two bar areas for the cocktail portion of the evening and the bartenders and appetizer waitstaff were very attentive. The entire back room bordered the Hudson and featured a beautiful skyline view. This room was also a good acoustic environment for the entertainment. Curtains were opened to reveal the main dining area and staged dance area. The room was pretty spacious and I was surprised at the size. Again, not sure if the food was provided by the Lighthouse, but there was room for three serving areas and many tables. And yes, the food was so delicious. I had never been to the Lighthouse prior to this event but I would recommend this as a perfect venue for an upscale party or wedding reception.

The lighthouse at pier 61 at chelsea piers is a beautiful event space. We attended a wedding there last evening. The ceremony took place in a corner with a wall of windows with unobstructed views of the Hudson River, Hoboken, Jersey City and the statue of liberty off in the distance. When we arrived, we dropped of our coats and were greeted with hot apple cider. We all waited in a rather crowded and uncomfortable space before we were allowed to take our seats. The service from the beginning was very attentive and accommodating. I really enjoyed the 2-bar layout and themed food stations during the cocktail hour. The blue cheese canoles were my favorite. I wasn't blown away by the salad but enjoyed the mini tapas plate that followed and really enjoyed the cod fish entree. While we were dining the service continued to shine as we were offered red or white wine or a drink from the bar. I often feel ignored during weddings when it comes to beverage and food service but this was never the case here. Excellent service and a very fluid process, aside from the congested entry, was what set this venue apart to me.

Last week I had to get the tux back out for a swanky gala for donors to my alma mater. Usually we're treated to a formal event in Jersey, but his year it was black tie in NYC! This venue was absolutely amazing. There was plenty of space for us, the staff was efficient, and the view was nice (I prefer it from the other side though) I can't speak to the cost of the event or of specific menu items, but I can say from an attendee's perspective that the Lighthouse is a great place to host a fancy event. The food was great. We started with a bread spread and a tomato salad. Both were well above average. The main course was steak that was prepared just right, something that is really impressive considering we had over 250 people. Dessert was a chocolate cake that was absolutely amazing. A well deserved 5-stars!

We just had a big evening corporate event here last week, with about 300 guests, mostly executives. Venue was exceptional. Staff was amazing. Food was spectacular. We will definitely be back next year for the same event.

What a great place for a wedding. The views of the Hudson are amazing and the service and food are top notch. Highly recommended for a group over 200 people.

The Lighthouse. Where to even begin? I recently held my wedding here, and the Lighthouse was a huge part in making it the best day of my life. The setting is impressive, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Hudson River, and an outdoor terrace. We worked with Greg in Sales, and then Paul in Events, and both were extremely professional and warm. Both responded to e-mails within 24 hours, if not minutes. Paul was a fantastic coordinator on the actual wedding day, and he made sure everything ran smoothly. I was so confident that I could relax and focus on having fun and spending time with our guests, and knew that Paul would take care of everything. On to the food. If your guests do not leave stuffed, it's because they have an eating disorder. We had passed hors d'oeuvres (think BBQ mac and cheese balls, miniature falafel, crab rangoon, scrumptuous sliders), buffet stations, a taco truck with mini blood orange margaritas(!), and then a formal dinner with appetizer, salad, entree, dessert, wedding cake, and tiny chocolates on the way out. Abigail Kirsch is well-known for having restaurant quality food at catered events, and the reputation is completely deserved. All of our guests absolutely RAVED about the quality and quantity of the food. Nobody had an empty glass the whole day either. Finally, the service was impeccable. One friend told me that after 2 drinks, the bartender had memorized her face and drink order. Our private server offered to make me a plate during the cocktail hour, and made sure that I never had an empty glass. In fact, I had 4 full drinks at one point in the wedding. "The ice in your blood orange margarita melted a little, let me refresh it." 5-star service. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. I truly felt like a guest at my own wedding.

I just went to a wedding at The Lighthouse and was beyond impressed! The venue offers amazing floor-to-ceiling window views of The Statue of Liberty and NJ skyline. The service is impeccable and the catering is superb. They offer a large coat check space and convenient free valet parking. The space offers a large terrace area perfect for a cocktail hour. The place is truly breathtaking.

My cousin walked down the aisle at sunset. It was absolutely gorgeous. Floor to ceiling windows facing the Hudson river. Dark mahogany wood floors. Romantic suspended candles above the dance floor. Woah. I would get married here if I could. Let's get to the catering shall we? Foie gras tater tots. Prosciutto pop-overs. Deconstructed duck. Mushroom bar. Mini beef sliders. Macaroni balls. And that's just for the cocktail hour. The main dinner AND dessert included these highlights: Seared Ahi Tuna Chilean Sea Bass Chocolate Covered Bacon Raspberry Cheesecake Ice cream (I think so anyway) The most divine chocolate tarte known to man. This space, the catering, and staff are amazing. Five stars to the Lighthouse!

BEST VENUE IN NYC!!! My husband and I had our reception here this past January and it was truly spectacular. Greg was wonderful to work with during the early planning process and Paul (our event manager) is an event master - they are true professionals. The venue is gorgeous, unique and SPACIOUS (hard to find in the city). The food and drinks were totally over the top - guests are still raving! Our Saturday night reception had to be cancelled (due to blizzard Jonas!) but the entire event was moved to Sunday evening and was absolutely perfect! I am still in awe at the dedication and professionalism of the entire staff at the Lighthouse and my husband and I will be forever grateful for turning a potential disaster into the best weekend of our lives!!!

The Lighthouse is an utterly spectacular venue. The view alone is worth it, but then you add in the exceptional service and delicious food, it makes it a simply magical experience. We were married at The Lighthouse in April, and as soon as we walked in we knew it was the venue for us. The place is absolutely gorgeous - with hardwood floors and floor to ceiling windows looking out at the water. The staff was always incredibly helpful and kind. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect leading up to and on the day of our wedding. Bob managed every aspect of our day, and he did not skip a beat. I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The ambiance and the food were extremely important to us, and they were perfect on both counts. I can't even begin to describe how breathtaking the view is. I would highly recommend The Lighthouse to anyone.

Absolutely the most phenomenal venue I've been to for a wedding reception. Located in Chelsea, and sitting on the Hudson River, the Lighthouse is simply breathtaking. All of the hors d'oeuvres (there must have been at least 30) were mind blowing and one of a kind. The four course dinner was amazing. I will never forget my time here. All in all, if you have the money, I HIGHLY recommend this venue for a special event.

The event staff was the absolute nicest I have encountered in a very long time. The venue is obviously beautiful and the lighting was perfect, but it was the staff I'll remember. They were all smiling, all seemed happy to be there. Thank you for being so kind.

Great service. Went to a WINGS WorldQuest event. Getting into the building was a pain but once you are in the building it is lovely. As a function hall it's super elegant. The service was also great. The bartenders were swift and accurate and made a perfect Manhattan. The appetizers were plentiful and on point. There wasn't a bad seat in the venue. Only problem was chicken was so tough I just didn't bother.

My sister's wedding took place there. I highly recommend this venue. The staff was very courteous and professional. Incredible river viewes, open from all sides. Everything was sheer perfection. The food was beautifully presented and the whole venue was decorated so romantic. I would definitely choose them for my wedding this summer.

I had my wedding The Lighthouse in February and it was truly incredible. Planning the wedding with their staff (especially Samantha and Paul!) was as stress-free and seamless as wedding planning can be because they are professional and simply top notch. Our guests continue to tell us that the food was the best they ever had at a wedding and that our venue was not only beautiful, but special and memorable.

We were married here last week and couldn't have been happier! We began speaking with them 13 months prior and every interaction was top notch. Greg responded to our numerous questions throughout and was always extremely helpful and kind. We were assigned to Bob about a month prior to our wedding date and he was amazing as well. On the day of everything went off without a hitch. Our guests were so impressed and are still telling us how amazing the event was. The service and food are top notch....you simply will not get better than this. The space and views are incredible! We had 175 guests and it was the perfect size....we could have fit many more. We loved every minute of it! Thank you for making our day oh so special!!!!

tuxedo rental: $140 yearly donation to my college, adjusted for years since graduation: $200 amount of money I bid on a framed photo of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin: $400* partying at the Lighthouse: PRICELESS this place is baller. my alma mater's philanthropy organization held their yearly gala here last Friday, and I am glad they did. relatively easy to get to? CHECK awesome views of the Hudson (okay, granted, you have to endure viewing some of...shudder...New Jersey, but you can also see the Statue of Liberty and more)? CHECK incredible food and excellent bartenders? CHECK tons of space so you can fit a few hundred people and yet not feel cramped? CHECK good acoustics for a band to play? CHECK this place is perfect for events. we should do a Yelp formal event here. Peter and Jane, let's get on that! * to clarify: the opening bid was $300, and I put in the first bump to $325. then, after 4 glasses of wine, 2 martinis, 2 gin and tonics, and 3 7-and-7s, I felt the urge to snipe the last bid. I am now the owner of a large framed photo of Sinatra and Martin, with a text box underneath saying "I feel bad for those that don't drink - in the morning, that's the best they'll feel all day". I have a drinking problem, so this is apt.

I've come to the conclusion that planning a wedding is as stressful as you want it to be. Want to freak out over linens? Fine. Want to relax and let the professionals do their jobs? Enter The Lighthouse. I really can't recommend this place highly enough. Our event manager, Paul, took care of absolutely everything, from coffee and danish waiting in the bridal suite, to planning a delicious kid's menu for the little ones, to arranging a getaway car for us. They also know their way around a Jewish wedding: a no-pork-or-shellfish menu, a perfectly coordinated ketubah signing, and a motzi/kiddush (and provided a challah!). The Lighthouse elegantly accommodated all our 150 guests. This includes elderly guests in wheelchairs, vegans, babies, etc. I also need to talk about the food. My god, the food. Everything looked too pretty to eat, but trust me, eat it. Delish. And, although I myself took it easy on the alcohol, the open bar and attentive waitstaff kept the wine and spirits flowing throughout the day. Overall, a beautiful summer daytime wedding. Can't go wrong.

As seemingly the only black guy who attended the NYC South Asian Bar Association Annual Gala, which was hosted here, I really enjoyed myself! Situated right on the water, there are great views to be had from any vantage point inside of the venue. For any gala or event, there's not a bad seat in the house as the stage and dining areas are intimately close. Plus, there are closed circuit big screens all around the venue that display what is going on, on stage, if you happen to be in a situation where you are seated with your back to the stage. As for the aesthetics, the lighting is perfect, the energy is great, and the ambiance is excellent. Most certainly looking forward to the next event hosted here.

We had a wonderful experience with the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. Having your wedding there is not cheap, but it was honestly worth every penny. All of our friends and family said it was the best wedding -- or indeed, any event -- they had ever been to (and I think they were being serious). The venue is beautiful -- on the Hudson River, with a view to the Jersey skyline (which is prettier than I might have thought) and even down to the Statue of Liberty. The space itself has an unfinished/industrial yet elegant look that we really liked. The food is great. There are no tastings, but there are so many choices that had us drooling just reading the descriptions. The sheer amount of food bordered on ridiculous (in a good way). The beef entree was the best beef I have had in years. Just some of the many many delicious things we ate were: lobster and corn salad with a corn souffle, bbq chicken macaroni bites, mini blt's, s'mores cupcakes, mojito granita intermezzos, chocolate covered bacon...I need to stop now because I am getting too hungry. The best part though was our banquet manager, Bob. He was fantastic. He kept the night running smoothly. He also made sure that my husband and I had time to eat and were well looked after. It basically felt like we didn't have to worry about anything.

I went to The Lighthouse for a Holiday Party in December, 2012. The layout of the space was great. There were two coat-check spaces. Servers greeted all guests with a cocktail. The food was excellent and available at stations all night - pasta station, carving table, sushi, salad and seafood were in abundance. In addition, there were also passed trays of appetizers. The rear of the venue boasted a spectacular view of the water and NJ skyline. While nothing can compare to any NYC views at night - it was rather pleasing.

This is the place to have a wedding - hands down the best! We just had my daughter's wedding there on a Sunday afternoon - perfection! The staff is incredible including the event manager, Richard Martin. The food was beautiful and delicious. The floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water are spectacular - they were able to open some of them and it was magical. I cannot say enough good things about this venue. Everything went off perfectly - our guests are still raving about it. I highly recommend it.

The most amazing wedding venue ever. We got married here this past weekend and it was unbelievable. The food was amazing. The service was incredible. Everything was perfect. Bob was our event manager and literally killed it. They really know what they are doing there. The compliments just keep coming. Cannot even find the words to describe how amazing everything was. Wish I could do it all again next weekend!!!!

Absolutely beautiful, classy and top of the line for a wedding venue. I attended a wedding there and it was one of the most elegant weddings I've ever been to. Abigail Kirsch At The Lighthouse is sure to impress. The location itself is a 10 with views of the Hudson River and beyond. There is a deck outside where you can enjoy the views which is great for the guests and photo ops. The backdrop was such a fitting and romantic setting during the reception. Everything from decor to service to the wedding coordination was perfect. It was very spacious with room for cocktail area, reception seating, a photobooth area, candy bar area and a large dance floor. I'm not sure who the caterer was or if they were part of the Abigail Kirsch group, so I will not go into detail about the food but it was fine dining to the fullest! A 5-star experience completely. The wait staff and bartenders were so so professional. I can't say enough but I'm sure the couple and their families had the wedding of their dreams.

I cant say enough about how wonderful the lighthouse was during the entire wedding planning and day. The venue is fantastic and unique, the food was phenomenal, and I have a bachelor's degree in culinary arts and have worked as a chef for years in my past. The food was the quality of some of the finest 5 star restaurants i have been to in my life... but for a wedding!!??? Thats unheard of in the catering world!!! The menu selection was amazing, it was very hard to choose our menu because there were so many things I wanted to try!! I made sure I had tasted everything throughout the day. Make sure you do that! Our sales manager Greg was very personable and a great contact. Our banquet manager Richard was ok, he seemed a little stiff but everything went just as planned and he was always reliable and available through the phone and email. The service staff was excellent though, my only complaint is that I had no bridal attendant present. I don't know who she was or If she even was there. The only time this was an issue is when my mother and sister couldn't figure out how to bustle my dress and it was a 20 minute ordeal. Bridal attendants are usually quite good at this from what I hear. Overall the place was OUTSTANDING. I don't think many wedding venues are quite like Pier 60 and the Lighthouse. Me AND every one of my guests continue to talk about how wonderful an event it was and will recommend it highly. Just be prepared to pay for it. There aren't many deals or really anything cheap about this place but, the memories are worth it.

What a space for a wedding! From beginning to end, the people at the Lighthouse knew what they were doing. The food was great, the organization was smooth, and the service was seamless. Paul, our event manager, was on top of everything, from the planning to being the emcee in his tux. We know this is a high-end venue, but we feel we got more than we paid for. Great food, great space, great people, great operation all around.

There aren't enough amazing things to say about The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. From the service to the food to the ambiance, you can NOT go wrong booking this venue for your wedding day. We looked at several venues in the city and found flaws with each (from awkward layouts to TERRIBLE service). My husband and I were sold once we met Greg and did a walk through of the space. Greg was extremely attentive and made our decision to book the Lighthouse a no brainer. Greg always responded quickly via email or phone even after we set the date. We were then placed in the hands of Bob, our event manager. My family still talks about how incredible Bob is. He was a pleasure to work with! He always responded very promptly to all of my questions and concerns, which is comforting when you are getting closer to the big day and have so much on your plate. He guided us through selecting our menu and helped us with any food requests we had (from Kosher to special meals needed due to allergies). The day of we felt even more blessed to have him. He helped to accommodate us when we arrived late to our cocktail hour. We noticed that the lighting wasn't placed in a hallway like we requested and fixed it immediately. He made sure that we always had our drinks refilled and something to eat. Bob was the reason our wedding day was picture perfect. Just a quick note, our guests all said that this was the best wedding food they've ever tasted and were amazed by the views. I would HIGHLY recommend to all of my friends and family. BEST decision we've ever made!
