Where To Go When You Finally Realize The Bungalow Is Terrible - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Finding a place to drinking outdoors on the Westside is easy. Finding a place to drink outdoors on the Westside with a crowd that doesn’t make you want to leave immediately is much harder. Skip all the fist-pumping bros in Sperrys, and go to The Lincoln in Venice instead. This cocktail bar on Lincoln Blvd. feels like a well-designed mechanic’s shop, and while it does get crowded at night, Saturday and Sunday afternoons are much more low-key. The front patio is great for lounging with solid cocktails (get the Bitter About My Hot Friend) and a crowd that generally knows how to communicate without having to shout “yo” before every sentence." - brant cox

The 10 Best Bars In Venice

"The Lincoln is far from the Abbot Kinney crowds, but that doesn’t stop this place from getting packed on weekends. This cocktail bar looks like a mix between a beach bungalow and a dark tool shed with Edison bulbs and tin panel walls. Mood lighting aside, there is a great outdoor patio (which feels closed off from the loud traffic on Lincoln Blvd.) and solid drinks for every taste, from fancy fruit-infused cocktails to the simple “World’s Best Dad” combo that includes a Miller High Life and shot of whiskey." - sylvio martins

Where To Meet Someone Who Isn’t An Actor

"No actor wants to drive west from Burbank after an audition, so getting as far away from the Valley as possible is one good way to avoid them. The Lincoln is a casual spot in a quiet part of Venice, with a nice front patio and Top Gun-themed cocktails. Despite the Maverick and Iceman references, this is a spot filled with people who live around the corner and probably won’t care that your most recent IMDb credit is from two years ago." - brett keating

Where To Drink With Your Dog

"The Lincoln is one of the most popular bars in Venice, and that means on Friday and Saturday nights, you’ll be treated to long lines, crowded tables, and lots of people with a touch-and-go relationship with gravity. This is not when you take Fido to The Lincoln. Instead, come to their “Dog Day Afternoons,” which run monthly on Sunday afternoons. There are water bowls, treats, and toys for all the dogs, plus plenty of drink specials for their humans." - brant cox

Google
Great spot for drinks, friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. The bar always seems to have an amazing smell, must be their scented candles. Highly recommend to check out.

Google
This is a very nice bar with live music on some evenings. I came here for a Mezcal tasting event. We also had cocktails from the menu. The cocktails are well prepared. The ambiance is nice. The interior is furnished cozily with some hip bar area. Outdoor seating is in a relaxing type of greenhouse style.

Google
The Lincoln is THAT spot in Venice where the vibes are always right. From the moment you walk in, the cool, laid-back atmosphere pulls you in—think industrial chic meets cozy neighborhood hangout. The music, always a vibe & the drinks? So good! Perfect place to catch up with friends, start your night, or accidentally stay way longer than planned.

Google
Great music, good drinks, & cool bartenders! Great place to have a drink & go dancing. Unfortunately some people can be sloppy, but it’s a bar/club scene so that’s expected. Cheers

Google
We stopped by The Lincoln after exploring Venice Beach, and it was such a vibe. Great energy, super friendly staff, drinks were solid, and the music was on point all night. My friends and I had so much fun, definitely coming back.

Greg Karpinski

Google
Great bar with terrible music. The entire time I was there they played Arctic Monkeys but the atmosphere and lighting was more Barry White or some chill jazz. Very disconnected between the ambience and the music choice.

Google
I’m not one to leave reviews but, I really enjoy this bar. Many of the staff members are friendly, funny and professional. The drinks are great and the bar is always trying to add new and interesting cocktails. There is a hot dog machine (mostly stocked on weekends), the amount of people’s faces I have seen light up when I point it out is 10/10. For those are looking for a nice place to hang I will always throw this place’s name out . Depending on the day of the week or holidays this place will have different size crowds. Be aware that Sats and Fridays are packed! I have experienced really great DJs here and meh ones. Regarding some of the stealing comments in other reviews. This is a relatively new issue it seems, I hope they are able to resolve this in some way. However, it seems like a hard issue to solve given the such packed nature of the weekends. So be safe people! Overall I have been going to this bar for quite some time and I have had some really great memories here. Hope this review helps people out.

Google
DJ was live!! Made for an amazing night. Love how spacious it is and that they also have couches and patio seating if you wanna leave the dance floor and chat for a little bit. So happy to have found this spot!

Yelp
To start off, this bar was a last minute plan that absolutely became the best choice of the night. As soon as I entered the place it smelled so good & they had heaters, which was amazing because it was a really cold night. Their patio is enclosed as well, & it's so aesthetic, with the disco ball & the vines. The bartender was also amazing, getting the drinks out fast, nice & efficient for the party of 20 I was in. Unfortunately they don't have any food , but they let you bring your own food which was still pretty good cause we ended up ordering pizzas & we were satisfied. Overall, this place has a really nice vibe. Would definitely come back !

Yelp
Great Place .. bad neighborhood at night Many homeless around the area Must be careful at dark

Yelp
This is a magical place and it is a wonderful gem. I usually park in the residential area across the street and have no problem getting access to the establishment. The décor is very unique and fashionable with splashes of a rustic environment. The last time we came here, it was a large group and we were able to have some nice tacos with solid drinks. The water station is super helpful and the disco ball with the dope lights throughout the place made it all a vibe. There is plenty of room to sit, chat, stand, dance, and have a relaxing and lively evening altogether. The service is so nice and the staff is very quick with cleaning up tables. The restroom was clean and the DJ played amazing music all night long. Toward the end of the night after we ate dinner, we noticed that the dance floor was never empty. The songs he played spoke to at least one group out of our entire squad! What an amazing experience!

Yelp
Fun bar, we came right at 5 when they opened which is a very different vibe from the true nighttime with a dj. We could hang out and order drinks easily. The espresso martinis were expensive and just ok but the vodka sodas were relatively priced and great.
google avatar

Yelp
It was my first time here, and I had a fantastic experience. The music was great, and the crowd was lively. Manuel took excellent care of us throughout the night, always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed--even bringing us waters, which really stood out. He wasn't just focused on us getting drinks, but genuinely made sure we were well taken care of. That attention to detail made a big difference. Overall, it was a 5-star service and experience!

Yelp
We millennials party harder, make drinks better than Gen Z and Alpha. This place has an incredibly ambiance and plays music that I can't believe are now considered to be oldies. The vibe here is good whether it's chill or packed and jamming.

Yelp
3.5/5 stars, but I'll round up to a 4. Good drinks and great ambiance! The DJ was ... interesting to say the least haha We arrived around 8PM with a group of 5. This was the PERFECT timing because it was still pretty dead and we were able to snag a table. If we came later, it'd be pretty hard to get a seat. Drinks were solid. Ended up trying the Cereal Killer and Daddy Don't Make Dinner. They also have a water station at both ends of the bar. We had a nice evening and was excited for the DJ to start. The bartender told us that the DJ starts at 9:30PM. The DJ ended up starting a little bit later, maybe more towards 9:45PM. By that time, it was starting to get pretty packed. The DJ played some Top 40 and had some interesting mixes/transitions. We were vibing with some of the choices, but not with other choices. We were getting ready to head out to get some ice cream. The last mix we heard was Tequila by the Champs mixed with Single Ladies by Beyonce. It was ... odd lol We left during that song. As we were leaving, the DJ transitioned to Lauryn Hill which was a great choice. But it was too late! We had already left haha Outside, there was quite a long line forming. Best move is definitely to come around 8PM and stay for the DJ if you vibe with the music choices.

Yelp
Love the vibes in here because you can come here for different vibes! If you're here to really have a great time, let loose, they have a dance floor and a good DJ. Love that it's cozy but there's still a good amount of space to dance. They have bar seating areas and also couches where it's for a more initiate feel. If you're looking for a place to relax and chat with your friends or your date, then you can also sit in the outdoor area. They have a good wines and I love that when I was there, it didn't get messy but people were definitely having a great time!!
google avatar

Miguel M.

Yelp
The ambience of the bar was great. It was dark but not too dark. Patio was well ventilated and inside the DJ had music going. Drinks were decent not soo watered down. They were actually flavorful. We sat at the bar so the service was great. But if you come on a busy night like Friday night or Saturday night be prepared to wait a while. The scene gets good but it gets packed quickly. I tried a couple of the cocktails but ultimately I'm more of a "Old fashioned" kind of guy. I'd come back here again.

Yelp
My favorite bar in west LA by far. The drinks are sooo good (shoutout Chloe!!!), the music is always good, and you CAN DANCE. Love love love.
google avatar

Ruby M.

Yelp
I came here for New Year's Eve, and was super satisfied with the venue space. That night they had an amazing dj playing a variety of different hits, the vibes were immaculate. Not to mention their drinks were delicious, thought I do wish that their cocktail section had more options, I have happy with the gin cocktail I ordered.
google avatar

Sona T.

Yelp
Drinks are pricey but it's a fun vibe especially later at night when crowds get in! They do a good tequila cucumber cocktail it's really refreshing! Not too much dancing when I went but maybe I didn't stay long enough :)
google avatar

Kass M.

Yelp
The cocktail drink were tasty. The shots were also good. The ambiance was fun, they play a good mix of new and throwback music.
google avatar

Sasha D.

Yelp
Easy location in terms of parking and accessability, including seemingly for ADA. Large open indoor space with funky DJ and calming boho-chic outdoor space.
google avatar

Kat T.

Yelp
This bar is barely noticeable from the outside, but it's worth checking out! Menu offers quite a few cocktail options. But keep in mind, there is no food served at this place. The bar area (indoors) is quite spacious, the outdoor patio is very cute and covered. Both are well decorated with lots of dimmed overhead lights and candles; decor is very fitting and pleasant. It could also be romantic, although the place got very loud and quite crowded on a Saturday night. Might be different during weeknights.

Yelp
Bouncer inside was super rude to me and my husband. They let the girls in but held us outside for awhile. when we were inside and we were standing around, he came and pushed us to the side and said you can't stand here. But then other guys and girls moved there and he let them stay there. We had a spot at the bar, but I left my group to go to the water station and he told me to get in the back of the line. There was no line for the water station. So I went back to our spot to get water from the bartender instead. I was just trying to not waste their time. I don't know why he kept targeting me. Maybe being the only Asian guy there or the only gay guys there? The waiter was nice though and made good drinks. I just had to avoid the bouncer all night which really kills the vibe.

Yelp
My new favorite Wednesday spot! Chill bar with a great vibe and once the DJ starts the vibe gets even better. If you want a more quiet spot there is an enclosed cute outdoor-ish area where you can chat and mingle comfortably. The drinks are good and priced at the going rate for LA. I don't like overly sweet drinks, and will usually ask about the sweetness before making my decision. The drinks I had were smooth and more on the tart side (which I like), but don't worry they are not sour or tart like a sour candy or sucking on a lemon. Overall, great experience on a Wednesday night.

Yelp
We went on a Monday night, so there wasn't that many people here. Parking wasn't too difficult - we parked in the neighborhood across the street. The inside of the cocktail bar is huuuuge; definitely didn't seem that way from the outside. Really nice atmosphere - dim lighting and a lot of seating at the bar or at the tables / chairs inside. Drinks we ordered: Daddy Don't Make Dinner: 9/10, the mezcal was really strong!! The Care Bear Stare: 7.5/10, was pretty good but I prefer mezcal in my drinks Indoors Enthusiast: 8/10, was a little spicy

Yelp
y visit to 'The Lincoln' in LA was outstanding, largely due to the incredible staff. Chloe, Da'Reico, Anthony, and Armando all contributed to a fantastic atmosphere. They were professional, friendly, and made sure everyone had a great time. The security team was also impressive, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Their professionalism added to the positive experience at the bar. Overall, the team at 'The Lincoln' truly made my visit memorable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a bar with a great vibe, excellent service, and a secure environment.

Yelp
Here on a Sunday and it's busier than a football game even after 10 PM. That's hard to find in Venice l. They offer free hotdogs and pop corns at majority of the days I have been here. The drinks are reasonable and delicious. The bar has an out door patio with indoor seating as well. The DJ plays much enjoyable music.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice to stop by early on a Friday since it is pretty chill and the Old Fashioned is on point

Yelp
Went in for a late night drink with my buddy and of course we got The World Greatest Dad which is a shot of Old Forrester and a 16oz PBR. Received the drinks quick with a laugh and a wink. Dark bar good for dancing the night away although a little cramped you can make your own space.
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
Whoever was the DJ on 4/6 did an awesome job! Celebrated my 30th here with 15 other friends and we all had the best time dancing the night away. The space is so nice and hopefully they keep this DJ every Saturday because the crowd was loving it
google avatar

Richie D.

Yelp
Whether you're celebrating your divorce, a graduation, a new job, or just because... enjoy The Lincoln's atmosphere and hand crafted drinks! Come for happy hour so you can drink more for less, or come on a DJ or live music night. Happy endings all the time!

Vienghkone S.

Yelp
This place is place to drink and eat. Affordable and I highly recommend if you are on a budget.. nice and friendly place for night out.

Les K.

Yelp
Had fun celebrating my bday! Friendly staff, good drinks and live DJ. Lovely big space in and especially cool outdoor covered area with heat lamps and lots of seating and tables. They allow you to bring in outdoor food, so we did and had a blast. They serve free hot dogs, but while we were outside, they hadn't started that yet. I was told they did so much later. Parking sucks, as only street parking.

Linda E.

Yelp
Great place to see live bands. Ventilation is good. Service was good. Musicians great!

Yelp

Yelp
Came here for a late night team get together! The outside was a bit sketchy, but the interior is super cute!! Bar has a nice woody forestry vibe that feels very fresh. There's an in-house dj and they had quite a crowd even on a Wednesday night. Was a lovely hole in the wall and had such a fun time. Will be back!

Yelp
"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a men's character, give him powers." That being said Welcome to The Lincoln and without further delay let's begin this bar review. The Lincoln is a casual dive lounge bar in Venice. They're located along the ever busy Lincoln boulevard. From the outside it looks banal covered with white roof metal sheets and could easily missed as a bar. It's indoor was spacious and very dim lit. They have lounge couches, wine bar tables and a full bar. Furthermore, they have live DJ music on most nights and tonight was one of those nights. They have an extensive selection of wine, tequila, hard liquors, cocktails and beers. I opted to get Alpine Pale Ale. Prices were reasonable. This bar plays good lively lounge music which makes an upbeat atmosphere; loud enough to have a conversation with other bar patrons. Plenty of street parking around the neighborhood. Overall, it's a good chill bar to unwind and get together with friends or a date. I recommend this bar.
google avatar

Dee H.

Yelp
Came here with friends on a Saturday. Friendly bartenders, good drinks, DJ was good at first but switched the music and I left shortly after. In a sea of mostly Caucasian people and a few POC, the DJ found it appropriate to play "Freaky Friday" but only the clip where Chris Brown says "Cause I'm that n****". Everyone in the crowd stopped dancing because it was a weird vibe to switch to and tone deaf. Also, on Saturday nights folks go to dance and chill...in the dark. They had some guy shining bright camera lights, taking videos creepily of people at the bar, on the dance floor (guessing for marketing but lol...) but it wasn't clear that he was part of a film crew at first . Not the vibe for me but maybe for you.

Bolfa D.

Yelp
Ambiance is amazing and the drinks were super delicious. Service was very quick as well, but I went on a Sunday so it could be different when busy.
google avatar

Madeline F.

Yelp
Much better than I remember! I think this has actually had a come up since my last visit pre pandemic in February 2020. The outdoor patio is so cute and the aesthetic is very chic and simple. The drinks just taste fresh and are a little bit on the pricy side for the cocktails but when we went on a Thursday night, it was well worth it. Drinks: The best side: cucumber mint with vodka (9/10) Cereal killer: Jalapeño infused (8/10) Maple fashioned: Lincoln's take on an old fashion 8/10 Definitely recommend checking it out!!
google avatar

Emma H.

Yelp
This place was pretty fun. A better crowd that the Victorian. Lines were long! so get there before 10PM otherwise you'll wait 45+ minutes to get in. We had fun dancing inside. Pretty good mix of music. Bartenders were nice and the bar lines moved pretty quick. There is an outdoor space to cool down a little but hardly places to sit. So, don't come late night to relax you better be prepared to dance :)
google avatar

Martin C.

Yelp
FIRST I LIKE TO MAKE A NOTE. There wasn't a TOILET only Urinals in the men's room?! I guess No DUMPING allowed on the DJ. Just what you would think a western modern bar would look like. HARD wood everywhere and I ain't talking about the single guys that come through here NOPE, just an easy thirst trap... and I AINT talking about the ladies since they seem pretty taken, only the thirsty traps of the alcoholic specials. Sunday funday is taken lightly as you can get yourself a shot of bourbon or tequila for a great price.
google avatar

Suneeta I.

Yelp
Such a great spot to go dancing. Great music. Love the DJ here! Gets super dancey. And gets crowded!
google avatar

Kamil E.

Yelp
Last Saturday was an epic adventure. The line was pretty long, but it was worth our time. We ended up ordering two bottles and we were assisted by Ashley who is an awesome employee by the way. She was very kind and quick to serve us. Even though it was crowded she managed to take the time to make sure everyone in our party was comfortable and taken care of. We will be using Ashley for future business and events. I hope that you give her a raise after this gets posted. Ashley is phenomenal and so is the Lincoln!
google avatar

Virginia U.

Yelp
I stopped by early on a Friday night to avoid the initial crowd/line that forms pretty quickly around 10ish. I ordered a couple beers and one of the speciality drinks that was well made; there are a few drinks on the menu made with mezcal and I love a good smoky cocktail. The space filled up pretty quickly around 9:30ish. Clientele were a good blend of people from around the neighborhood and those who had traveled a bit to enjoy the homey ambiance in the place, mostly a youngish crowd of 20s and 30s somethings. People are pretty friendly here! Good vibes all around. My only issue was that the music starts getting loud around 9pm and I felt that there wasn't really a difference in volume from the main room to the patio so if you needed a break from the music, you'd basically have to leave and walk outside.

Anil M.

Yelp
Really good cocktails, 90's hip hop and neo-soul music the nights I went, and good crowd. The Lincoln is my go to lounge when near Venice.
google avatar

Haley H.

Yelp
We went here last night and it was actually fun! The place isn't too big, definitely hipster bar vibes. There was a dj who played great music and a full bar. We ordered the Care Bear and the Maple Old Fashioned, both were strong but very flavorful There were plenty of places to sit as well which made it fun and lots of people. No one was wearing masks inside, they do check vaccine cards at the entry

Simba J.

Yelp
Definitely a gem. This spot kept popping up on my ig feed for their cocktails so had to try it. Went on a weekend. Super cute spot. Drinks were on point. Great crowd and music as well.
google avatar

Andre M.

Yelp
This place is awesome. It's intimate and quiet towards the early evening but on busy nights there's definitely some noise. 10/10 recommended for a quiet date spot. Or if you're a single looking to go home with someone else you will do well there. Average age seems to be mid twenties to mid thirties. The bar is very clean. Restrooms are immaculate. If you're in the area you should stop by if you find yourself in the mood for a drink in a classy atmosphere!
google avatar

S J.

Yelp
It is nice before the young college students invade it late Friday and Saturdays then it smells bad and is full of drunk students who are obnoxious and can't hold their drink. Go at 7 pmish for a drink but leave before the messy crowd gets there.
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
Love this neighbourhood bar. Great atmosphere and ambience. Relaxed crowd, great prices and drinks. It has a great an outdoor area that for being on Lincoln is super private and quiet. The indoors is so cozy and chill I could hang out forever.
google avatar

Tash G.

Yelp
Manny is the best bartender in town! Great drinks and great atmosphere... get there early fyi
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
The bartender fixed me a citrus infused mocktail early in the night at a very reasonable price. The vibe on a Saturday night pre 10pm was cool and it was easy to talk. Went to dinner across the street and came back to a more late night crowd with a DJ. It was cool overall.
google avatar

Yelp
Yesterday night (January 15th) me and 4 of my girlfriends were trying to get in. I didn't have an actual ID on me and just a photo of it in my phone which always works fine for spots like so. The security guy refused to take me in (and it was my birthday). Okay, even if their policy prohibits to do so he was rude as hell saying that and didn't even try to soften the phrasing. Plus it was raining and after turning back we stopped near the entrance (under the roof) waiting for Uber. The decor ugh guy again very rudely said to leave because we were blocking the way (which we actually were not and people had plenty of space to exit and enter). Wow, what the heck!? I haven't encountered such rude security in ages. We then stopped by at the elephant which looks much nicer and were served in a very friendly manner even with my picture of an ID instead of an actual card. The public was much nicer too! Don't even bother with the Lincoln.

Yelp
Nice ambient, good drinks great vibe highly recommended , and is at nice area a little hidden but worth it !
