Absolutely loved my stay here at The Line for a year! I moved here from Buffalo, New York for my job and now unfortunately moving to Florida at the end of next month for a job opportunity. First and foremost definitely going to miss the lovely view of 622 and definitely can’t forget the amazing restaurants that is easily accessible by walking! This place has given me a way to make life long friendships and relationships. The management team is phenomenal, they respond fast and are very professional. Sarah made my move-in process very easy and smooth. Unfortunately the reviews dropped since the last time I moved here because of the alarm situation, it’s an apartment building in a college town what do you expect? The pool is beautiful and the workout area definitely gets the job done! I will always keep this place in the back of my head if I ever comeback.

After creating a life in the suburbs of Wake Forest, we were ready for a change. We had a list of criteria that were important to us: - Access to a variety of restaurants and activities - Tons to do in walking distance - Easy options for groceries, dog parks, all the things to replace what we grew to become used to from our community in Wake Forest - Fabulous views in a modern setting - A stunning pool - Modern amenities - A new sense of community - Safety - for ourselves, our car, our dogs, and when our friends & family come to visit The Line has given us all of this and so much more. We've been here for about 5 months now and not a single week goes by where we're not enjoying the restaurants, nightlife or shopping in Smoky Hollow - plus, the monthly market events are amazing. On top of that, the complex works to create a sense of community with multiple events each month from free yoga, pool parties, and more. Last month's floating sound bath experience at night was maybe one of the best experiences I've had to date! Moving out of the suburbs is something I'll never regret - but moving to The Line is something that made that decision the best one yet!

I’ve been living at The Line Downtown Apartments in Raleigh for two years now, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of downtown, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Everything I need is just steps away. The building is modern, clean, and well-maintained, with high-end finishes and thoughtful amenities throughout. My apartment gets tons of natural light through large windows, and the sleek appliances and smart layout make it feel both stylish and functional. The amenities are top-notch — from the pool and outdoor grill area to the fitness center and coworking spaces, there’s truly something for everyone here. After two years, I can confidently say The Line feels more like a community than just an apartment building. It’s a great mix of comfort, convenience, and downtown energy — a perfect place to live if you want to enjoy everything Raleigh has to offer.

Where do i start. You have fire alarms that are set off constantly, the parking garage arm constantly breaks, package room is a nightmare. In my unit i also have an hvac closet that has a constant dripping noise that ive logged issues about multiple times, loud random clanking noises from the bathroom plumbing. Oh and today ive come to unit to find my hvac completely shut off randomly (pictute attached). Its currently in the 80s here and i have no AC. Ridiculous Its such a shame this building is beautiful and in the perfect location, but all of these issues are unacceptable for the price you pay. I wont be renewing my lease and cant wait to move out. I give only two stars. 1 for the friendly staff (theyre great) and 1 for the location in downtown raleigh.

We've lived at The Line for more than two years, and have loved every minute of it. The staff are kind and attentive, and a special shout-out to Rissa, who moves mountains every single day to make sure everyone has what they need (I'm honestly shocked at how quickly and thoroughly she takes care of every single maintenance request, and always in such great spirits), and Michelle, who keeps the building spotless while somehow remembering everyone's names. The Line's location is perfect (just a block from the heart of Glenwood South and a 5- or 10-minute walk to the main areas of downtown Raleigh), and the amenities, gym, pool, and common areas are well-kept and always clean. We're looking forward to staying here for another year!

Updating as a bad experience has stunningly gotten worse. Since I wrote my initial review a month ago, the following has occurred: - Four fire alarms (three at 6am, one at 1am) - The pool has closed with no timeline for reopening - Garage exit has been closed for over a month (long waits to exit in the morning for work) with no timeline for repair - EV chargers have been broken for over a month with no timeline for repair - The package room has been non-functional for random periods I'm not sure what changed in the past few months but management of this property has fallen off a cliff. The long, growing list of failures would be comical if not so frustrating. --- Original review: Would not recommend The Line for those considering the downtown area. The management team has made a variety of decisions that are disappointing & unprofessional. First & most egregiously, my personal information was shared by the leasing office with a third-party without my permission. When brought to management's attention, I was met with a collective shrug. Fire alarms have become a frequent occurrence in the middle of the night. The elevators & halls are increasing dirty due to some of the pets in the building. Gym equipment is broken & packages are stolen out of the mailroom. Most recently, the Line decided to enact a new policy out of the blue in which they enabled themselves to charge an additional fee to residents based on the resident's renters insurance. Because I was out of town during this new policy, I was forced to pay an extra fee on coverage I had. When brought to management's attention - again - shrug. It's clear to me The Line is not interested in addressing their pitfalls. The company's focus in minimizing effort & maximizing the profit they extract from their residents. There are nicer apartments in the area with greater focus on the customer experience.

It's absolutely unacceptable how often the fire alarms go off in this building. Having to evacuate the building multiple times a month at random times in the evening/early morning is starting to get old. I am so thankful our lease is up at the end of next month. We seldom receive emails addressing the cause, while the other times are a complete mystery. These disturbances are hard on us, but even worse on our pets. We can typically tell if the fire alarms have gone off on a specific day based on how our dogs act when we get home. It’s traumatizing for them. I fully understand that fire alarms are there for a reason, but when it’s a false alarm 100% of the time, you start to wonder what isn’t being done to prevent future false alarms. I never leave bad reviews and I wish I didn’t have to. If we had seen this in the reviews before applying, we would have looked elsewhere. I cannot imagine dealing with this for another year and I feel sorry for the other tenants stuck in their current lease agreements. The rent is way too high for anyone to have to deal with an issue such as this. At this point, they should add an “overactive fire alarm systems” disclaimer on the leasing website.
