The Little Banksia

The Little Banksia Café in Kensington has quickly become our new favourite spot — and for good reason. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a warm, beautifully styled space with both charming indoor seating and a peaceful outdoor area. It’s the kind of place you never want to leave. The staff are absolutely lovely — genuinely attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. But the real star here is the food. Every dish we tried was cooked to perfection — from the rich, aromatic coffee to the savoury mains and the indulgent pancakes. Every bite was bursting with flavour, and the attention to detail in presentation and ingredients took the entire experience to the next level. You can tell that a lot of care goes into everything they serve. It’s not just delicious — it’s thoughtful, elevated, and memorable. The Little Banksia isn’t just a café, it’s a culinary experience. We can’t wait to come back! 10 out of 5!

A cosy cafe, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. I particularly enjoyed my mocha and the buttermilk pancakes! Food presentation is also very beautiful 😍❤️

This is an absolutely amazing cafe, I love finding quirky new places to eat that have more than your standard “ bacon and eggs” on the menus. The staff are very friendly, the little nooks and cranny’s you can get a table in are quirky and sweet and the food is amazing. Definitely worth a stop.

Visited here for the first time yesterday & was really impressed. Great service, delicious coffee, but was blown away by the pannacotta. Such a beautifully balanced & presented dish that I enjoyed so much, I will definitely make the drive out to South Perth again even though I don't live nearby. My children shared the buttermilk pancake stack & this was also beautifully presented (& very tasty they told me). Thanks, Little Banksia, we'll be back!

Funky coffee shop, from service to atmosphere 🤘. And to who ever made my coffee 10⭐️ with oat milk. Whole old house turned into a cafe with top end food and presentation. Well be back.

Very nice neighborhood cafe. Breakfast selection is amazing. We had the Banksia breakfast. It was an amazingly delicious sumptuous meal. Didn't know I could finish the whole breakfast set. Coffee was aromatic. Recommended place for a meal if you are in the area.

There are indoor and outdoor seating options. Lots of indoor plants make the inside feel friendly and there are bigger plants outside too. Staff are friendly and polite and food came out not too long after we ordered. My mum gets the panna cotta meusli almost every time they go (see photo) bc she loves it!

Such a cute area. Love the pancakes sooo muchhh omggg best one ever. Matcha was pretty good too, not too bitter and not too sweet. It was lovely. And it’s dog friendly too!
